Piller to Post missed some very major issues with our house inspection which caused a house fire, after the fire the contractors and electricians could not believe that nothing was mentioned in the home inspection and that not only where these issues not to code they were a danger to my family, but i guess at least i was told that the shower needed new grout! I hope this is an isolated incident but after contacting the company Piller to post would not acknowledge there mistake or try and learn from it, all I received was a "thank you for your concerns" and never heard from them again. I am very disappointed with this company and would not recommend them to anyone (The inspection was booked under my wife's maiden name at the time. Amanda Bryer. It was indeed with pillar to post as I still have the receipt.)

I highly recommend this company for your home inspection needs. I got Les as my home inspector and he was absolutely wonderful to work with. He provided candid and insightful information about the house and what to look for going forward. The final report includes detailed pictures and results of the inspection which he went over with me in detail, line by line and what should or could be done about things. I had even mentioned how i wanted to add a heater for my garage and he went above and beyond to ensure there was the ground work in pace and it was possible for me to add this little addition to the garage (without costing me an arm and a leg) before I went ahead and bought the property. I feel confident in what I am buying going forward and will be using these guys again in the future.

I would like to add that I was very happy with the service I received from Pillar to Post Home Inspectors. The home inspection report was timely and very thorough, and full of great advice and tips to properly maintain a home and what to watch out for. Some things can be done on your own and some are best left to professionals. I learned a lot about central air conditioning and the importance of maintaining it with a good technician. Though the weather was terrible and some of the services could not be performed, the technician came out. He was fast and efficient, walking through with the owner and explaining all that was necessary for a new homeowner to perform annually. Would have liked everything checked out but with the time restrictions for close of sale and the weather, the best was done. I do find the full services very expensive and we had to opt for the smallest package because of the time constrains.

In February had an inspection done, the inspector missed a lot of crucial things for example the ensuite shower never got hot water and plumbing was all wrong. Five weeks into our new house there was a leak flooding basement causing more then ten thousand dollars worth of damage. Who knows what else he missed. Wouldn't use this company ever again.
