Aaah when I went in,customer service was great. The tattooist was very nice enjoyed his company, and he charged me minimum (120) Wasn’t happy with the tatto I asked for a crescent moon behind my ear. Which I thought was simple (only 5 minutes) the lines are very choppy and most of the shading has disappeared.. and it’s basically a banana behind my ear not a moon. Three stars cause they tried and I liked them but I’ll obviously ill get it touched up elsewhere ????

I popped into Perfect Image while I was in Banff for 2 days and was able to get a next morning appointment for a small tattoo I’ve been wanting (my fifth). My artist Doug was superb, he has a very gentle touch and an easy-going friendly manner. His advice about placement was spot on, which I especially appreciate as I pose in front of the mirror more and more to look at it lol. Thanks Pi & Doug for a virtually pain-free & perfect little tattoo!

The owner of the place refused to honer his reservation. I booked it a month in advance. He was too drunk by 5:30 to honour his commitment. If you want to be disappointed then book an appointment with perfect image. If you want to be pierced or tatooed. Then go somewhere else.

Unfortunately had two piercings done here. Being a piercing artist in Edmonton, I set fellow artists to high standards. The 2 piercings were so crooked, I had to pull them after two days. Travelled to Banff for vacation, and although the staff were kind, the level of piercing expertise really disappointed me.

DONT REQUEST OLLIE!! Me and my girlfriend both received tattoos from here. My artist was named ollie, and he was the most heavy handed of any artists I've ever been tattooed by. Not only was he digging deep into Me, he was also eager to do that tattoo, and get onto his next client. My tattoo is done sloppily and at one point he rudely told me to stop interrupting him.... if he hadn't been doing art on my arm I would have slapped him into next year

I booked a consultation to have someone look at a piece that a different artist already started. They got me in right away. The minute I walked into the shop I felt so welcome! (Most shops these days make you feel like you interrupted their personal work party). Jay, my artist, was there to greet me along with another man whom I didn't get his name. He got right down to business and took a look at what I was needing help with. After talking for a bit about some ideas how he could help, he encouraged me to come back in an hour, as he could fit me in for a 2 hour session to get started. I was so relieved! From start to finish, he was an absolute gem. So professional and made me feel like I mattered. We had great conversation during my time on the table and he even let me friend stay with me and interacted with her just as much. As someone who has a fair amount of tattoos..I've seen my share of ignorant shops..not the case here at all! So long as I'm in or around canmore, I will be staying with Jay and the crew at Perfect Image. His work is crisp, clean and exactly what we talked about. I cannot wait to book another session with him.

Went in for a walk in nose piercing for gf. They had room and we waited a few minutes. Found a flash piece which caught my attention. Asked if there was room today for it. Got told that there is room for me and only waited a few minutes. Artist changed a little of the tattoo to match what I wanted in it. Very friendly staff. Gf liked my tattoo and asked if they had room for her and they booked her for the next two days. Lou pierced her and was amazing. Clean place.

We had a great experience when my husband got his tattoo. However, when it came time for a touch-up, the original artist no longer worked for the company so we went in and spoke with the manager to see what our options were. With no regard, he refused to "pay his staff" to touch up a mountain tattoo, which apparently, according to him, is done so much that it's not worth anyone's time there. Not only was he rude, he was also insistent that we were told something that we were not (that they don't touch up finger tattoos) even though he wasn't even there the day we got the tattoo. In fact, we were specifically told by the artist that day, as well as another artist we spoke to before we came to get it done, to come for a touch up depending on how it healed. After the experience with this manager and seeing the staff turnover, I would recommend just getting a meaningful tattoo elsewhere. There's a very slim chance that your artist will still be working there (I don't blame them), and you most likely won't be able to get your work touched up. Not to mention if you want to get a mountain tattoo that means something to you, it will likely be regarded as a waste of time by management.

Myself and a friend had booked a few small tattoos as well as a piercing at this location through email and we’re quoted 120-150 each. Their hourly rate being $200 we thought that was fair. Upon arrival we were told the piercer was sick, fine. But coming from out of town and being excited for this a phone call or email for a heads up would have been nice. My friend also wanted a tattoo behind her ear- apparently this location will not do tattoos above the collarbone, who knew this was a thing? If this is the case they should at least ask for placement when taking our deposits to ensure they are able to do everything we want, or advertise this on their website. For my appointment, which was just under half an hour, and my friends appointment, which was 20 minutes, we were both charged the max quote they gave, even after not being able to do a piercing and a tattoo that we had booked. $300 for 50 minutes of tattooing. They also gave us zero information on aftercare. I will not be back and will not recommend this business.

We went as a family to get some very cliche matching tattoos. We had Ollie tattoo us and he was excellent! Very knowledgeable of the local Banff/canmore area, doubling as a local travel agent suggesting attractions and local restaurants to dine at. He was a champ with his witty humour and excellent workmanship making the whole experience enjoyable, can't recommend him enough. Unfortunately our tattoos were very small, quick jobs (took about 20 minutes each) and we were charged nearly $160 each so price was very expensive. The tattoos turned out great.

On a whim while visiting Banff, we popped in to buy a new labret ring. Found one I loved and although the price was a bit high thought I'd go for it. However, even with two employees looking, they couldn't find the post that the jewel fit with. While we were waiting, two other employees argued in front of us and another customer about what amount to charge someone who had just gotten a tattoo done. We ended up leaving because they never did find the post, so they lost an $80 sale, and probably my business overall in future.

Loved the tattoo artist he did an amazing job but the people upfront didn’t have the greatest communication, before we booked we were told it would be 120~160 all together to get a small tattoo on me and my fiancé and then when it came time to pay a different lady told us it would be 300 for two small tattoos that took no longer than 20 mins all together, we tried to talk to the other guy we talked to before but he was out of the store for a couple mins and ended up being over charged.

Went for a tattoo with Jared and am beyond pleased with the results. I threw a bit of a challenge at him and he far exceeded my expectations. Two sessions totaling about 6 hours were chill easy going. He's quiet, which I appreciated, not to mention immensely skilled and clearly proud of his work. I would highly recommend anybody check out his portfolio. Only thing I found frustrating is that there were loud children in each time I was there and I found it difficult to stay in a good head space as a result. Please enforce the "No Children" sign on the door.

Wanted to book a consolation about a future tattoo. The guy at the front desk told me to come back in 2 hours the artist would be there. I came back the same guy at the front desk didn’t really remember me but took me to the back to see the artist anyways. The artist was actually working on a client at the same time so I felt bad interrupting their time that client is paying for. I told the artist quick what I had envisioned and asked if he wanted to see pictures of what I had in mind. He said “no I will just do it my style” I ended up just walking out. This is my tattoo on my body I want it my way not just how the artist wants it

Said they called someone else and we'd have to wait. Never tried calling the second number. The tattoos are well done but the service is pretty awful. Jay was absolutely amazing! It was my first time getting a tattoo so he right away made sure i was comfortable and told me everything he was doing. He was an absolute pleasure to be with, we talked the whole time and definitely kept my mind at ease. The tattoo he did was absolutely beautiful! We originally paid a $50 deposit and then an additional $70 once the tattoo was done. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a tattoo in Banff.

Horrible experience at this location. Firstly, when I booked a walk in appointment, the lady at the front was rude about me booking. When I was able to come in later that day for two very simple and small tattoos. One being 6 small dots on my arm with rainbow colours, the second being a taurus symbol on my ankle. For the rainbow tattoo, the artist failed to clean the needle properly between changing colours. The result was supposed to be a yellow dot, but instead it has green in it. He was very quick to notice this mistake, which probably made the result less obvious then it could have been. So I am left with a rainbow tattoo with a greenish yellow, and no purple as my skin has rejected the ink. I had an allergic reaction to the purple ink, a fairly common thing actually. I called the location to get information on this, including the brand of the ink they use, so I can avoid problems with future tattoos. The guy on the phone told me to email a photo of the tattoo, and he ensured me he would get back to me by the end of the day. It has now been two weeks since that original phone call. I called at the one week mark, and again was told I would get a reply right away, as the artist would be in a couple hours. Still HAVE NOT gotten a reply. Lastly, my second tattoo is already faded and looks like complete garbage. I have taken care of it the same as every tattoo I have received in the past. I will now have to pay to get it touched up elsewhere, as I will not be returning to this establishment.

Absolutley awful. The tattoo artist was not confident in the piece my boyfriend wanted, but failed to say anything until the day he was supposed to get the tattoo. The artist then proceeded to try and convince him into another design, make snide comments to both of us, (saying the original design was too simplistic, stupid, an awful tattoo, Ext.) then we were told we had tmo wait three hours for the design to be drawn up, but had to rebook the appointment to the next week. (We live in Calgary, so this was an issue,) and when asked to send my boyfriend the design ahead of time; he refused and said he wouldn't actually work on it until the morning of or the day before. The next day we asked for the deposit back, as we no longer felt comfortable and the artist had backed out of the tattoo, and also received snide side comments on how we should've listened to the artist beforehand. (The artist did not mention at all he wasn't not comfortable with the original design until the day of the tattoo...) really bad, unprofessional, would not recommend to anyone.

COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE. Proposal weekend tattoo - cancelled. Worst customer service. I had a proposal planned for 3 weeks with these guys, surprise tatoos with my girlfriend - she had no idea. It meant the world to me. I would send them e-mails of my design ideas, no return, no feedback, just deposit please, and wait. Request for a specific artist.. nothing. These guys cancelled on me 20 minutes before our appointment asking if i can come back another time. Excuse me? I couldn't believe it!! Afterwards i talked with the manager (away from my girlfriend) with frustrations and told him this was a proposal bud.. that it was extremely important and his response absolutely floored me. He said: "Oh... right... i knew there was something important about this one...". UNBELIEVABLE!. Honestly, i would highly discourage anyone from ever planning or visiting this tattoo shop. All their best tattoo artists they put on facebook by the way are no longer there, Damien Robertson and the gang are long gone.. they moved to Canmore to open their own shops up. I truly hope nobody considers Perfect Image in Banff for any sort of planned tattoo because their artists are slow and they completely ruined an extremely special weekend.

Had 4 lobe piercings done and 3/4 were done at an incorrect angle. Was told to wait 2 months before taking out the piercings and that "the hole will close right up and can then be pierced again". Glad I went somewhere else for a second opinion as that was not appropriate advice. Poor piercing technique and knowledge for someone who claims to have 20 years of experience, Ragnar.

The guy who did my second lobe piercings clearly did not want to be there. He was rushing and wanted to get me out the door so he could go home. My piercings were not in the right place and both were incredibly uneven and crooked. I took them out as soon as I got to my car. I will not be returning here again.

Despite the mixed reviews online, I had a pleasant experience at Perfect Image in Banff. A very sterile environment with a professional feel. Ollie, the artist who did my piece, drew up a beautiful design and was very friendly throughout the entire process. The piece turned out great and I’ve been bragging about how cool it looks since. I paid about $300 for the tattoo which took about 2 1/2 hours and was in colour. For Banff, where everything is a bit expensive, I was happy with the price.

My boyfriend and I went on a vacation to banff and decided to get a couple of tattoos. We were skeptical about this tattoo shop at first after reading some of the reviews but decided to give them a try anyway. These people were extremely polite and very professional, our tattoo artists name was Pablo. He was able to turn our vague descriptions of what we wanted into more than we could imagine. His attention to detail and line work was absolutely amazing, not to mention the very decent price at the end for the quality of work done. All in all a very good experience and I urge anyone in a similar position to give these guys a chance, they're very much worth it.

If I could give no stars I would. Was not a costumer and will never be. After witnessing my friend who was a paying costumer be talked down to by the front counter staff about how much work his original tattoo idea would be for a walk in, we promptly left to discuss other options. When we returned my friend filled out his information to be put on a 'Walk-In Wait-List". We spent the entire day in Banff waiting for his appointment which was not the issue. The tattoo's were done on June 29th, 2016. After about a week, his black ink was almost completely faded and looked as if it had been done with pen ink and a stitching needle. The second tattoo my friend received was six rainbow dots, the artist failed to clean in needle in between colors which resulted in my friend receiving two mostly green dots, instead of a green and a yellow.

I went here on a whim, to get something to remember my trip to Banff and was taking in right away. Reid did my tattoo, and he was so great. I went in for a simple mountain top outline, and he was so creativity and added his own little twist to it and exceeded my expectations! He was very gentle and caring during the entire process which I appreciate, talking to me, and making the entire experience well worth it. I’ve been to other perfect image tattoo parlours and this one was by far a better experience. Even when the printer was down, he was still able to accommodate me. Thanks again!

I had a great experience with Pablo. He was very patient with my many tattoo requests. Based on his IG and his repertoire at the shop, I could tell he was a very seasoned artist. The guys at the front were also pretty cool and informative. Something I thought I should mention: I wanted to add a couple of extra details to my tattoo the next day so I dropped by without an appointment. Pablo took me in immediately and added what I requested, which was super cool. However, I was charged almost the same amount as my initial tattoo which took much longer and was already overpriced. When I asked the front desk about it, I was told that it was the shop minimum since the needles are one-time use. This is on me because I’m the one who needed more work done, but I thought it was a bit excessive. This wasn’t my first tattoo, nor was it my first time getting a tattoo at Perfect Image. Most places will do a touch up for a few bucks or even for free sometimes. To add insult to injury, they only accept cash for tattoos… I’m changing my 5 star review to a 4 but the quality of the work and the artist (Pablo) deserve a 5. My beef is with the shop and its scummy policy.

Fun environment, friendly and helpful. I got my ear pierced here years before my tattoo and They were able to fit me and my husband in (for a tattoo) without an appointment as well. It's where I got my first tattoo and they helped put me at ease. Definitely will go again.

Great service, quality and value for money. Called in the morning for a same day, walk-in appointment and got the last spot in Pablo's schedule. Pablo was patient and very helpful in explaining the process and designing a tattoo request to suit my vision and body. Cody at the front desk was also very friendly and attentive when booking. Dropped by the following day to check if I needed any touch-ups/after care before leaving the city. Thanks for making my first tattoo experience so great! Photo is one-month healed.

Artist Paul has no class. I booked a consultation a couple weeks in advance to finish my sleeve, get half my other arm done and a big back peice. When I showed up for my scheduled appointment , I was told he was not coming in. I had received no phone call or warning and had just driven from ANOTHER CITY!!! This is absolutely disgusting!!! This "professional" artist couldn't even call his client or get his ass off of the couch from to many river beers yesterday to make my appointment! He must be in the hospital eh....far out. To be honest, I don't want an entitled lazy artist doing all my art work anyways! Your loss bro.

I recently went to perfect image tattoo in Banff. On their website, they stated that they did tattoo underage minors with parental consent. I booked my appointment over the phone, borrowed my mom's credit card for the deposit, and waited patiently for my appointment. On arriving at perfect image, I filled out paper work (for a tattoo), signed, and showed ID. My mother who was with me did the same. I then started to discuss my tattoo with the artist who was going to do it, when he abruptly informed me they couldn't tattoo underage minors. I was very confused, but accepted it. When I inquired about getting my deposit back (how was it my fault that either a) their website is false b) their staff didn't ask me over the phone whether I was underage on not c) I had already filled out TATTOO paperwork, even after they said it was a piercing form) and they told me I would not get my deposit back, because I hadn't thought to tell them over the phone that I was underage. NOTHING LIKE RIPPING OFF A SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD OF THEIR EARNED MONEY. Do not go here.

Came in for some piercings, staff was fantastic and knowledgeable. They are more than happy to help over email or in person. Shop was spotless, sanitized with private stations. They worked with my tight schedule to get me in while I was in town. Check them out if you can!.

Dropped in for a small paw print tattoo. Lines aren't even connected and by the third paw the pad looks like a triangle. Supper sloppy and rushed. My friends small 5 minuet tattoo also lacked symmetry. 10/10 would not recommend. @ 126$/Hour I had reasonable expectations for such a simple tiny design that anyone should be able to tattoo.

I made an appointment 2 months in advance for anniversary tattoos.. I showed up and they told me i was a month late. However no one bothered to call me. I drove 4 hours to get there only to find out the help put down the wrong date... The tattoo artist handled it really well said he would get us in when he could without a bew deposit...... Well now the tattoo artist is ghosting me.... Super disappointing. Im hoping the artist is well cause he seemed way cooler then this

I scheduled my tattoo a month in advance with Jay, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. The staff were super friendly when I entered the shop, and Jay did a great job of listening to what I wanted, all while giving great recommendations in return. Highly recommend for anyone traveling to Banff looking for a great piece of art along with a laugh or two.
