Very busy... Not enough checkouts open.

I am not pleased at all. About 2 months ago i had my file change from lawtons to shoppers.... The first time I had to get my medications I didn't mind explaining to the pharmacist that I should only be getting a week at a time of my medications (reasons that are very personal). There was supposedly a note added to my file in regards to this. They ended up giving me a 90 day supply of my one medication after this apparent note was added. I took back the pills because it was a threat to my safety and mental health. I then had to explain to them again. Every week that I go in I again am having to tell them that a note is supposed to be on my file stating that my one medication is already paid for (the 3 month supply) and I'm only supposed to have week of both medications. The last 3 weeks have been the same. I go in to get my medications and have to express to the pharmacist about my file and my medications. This is a very personal situation and I am sick of having to explain it over and over again and then told a note will be added and then is not. I suffer from mental health issues and having to go into detail on it is becoming redundant. The medication is for my mental health and they know what the pills are for. And it becomes frustrating and upsetting when I have divulge this information over and over with people around who can hear. Today the pharmacist was very apologetic and I was appreciative of that. I really do hope that this apparent note is added and I do not need to go over this again.

I've rarely given 5 stars but have to admit, the team up there currently deserve this rating. I went in there to ship a few items, the guys didn't only help me bring the stuff inside but also through packaging and shipping it. Also they were very helpful with items I wanted to buy in general. I've rarely seen this much pride in customer service. Really great.

Would like to go in minus but no option. I went there around 10:19 am. Every lane is filled with cart of employees refilling stuff. They even don't care if you want to go there I asked politely to have space no reply. No milk at all. Answer is will have after 2pm. Price tags are different then shown in flyer for promotional items. Worst experience ever in shoppers drug mart ever.

Mini grocery store. Basic electronics with a post office and the biggest make up/ health and beauty products in town. Nice staff, one of the only places in downtown with a parking lot so almost everyone uses it for other stores.

Almost every single time I pick up medication, there's an issue. A multitude of times, I have been told that my medication was ready for pickup, when it wasn't. Then when I get upset, after having to deal with this repeatedly, they tell me I'm being unreasonable! In addition, and more importantly I had a friend who's PRIVATE Medical information was shared by one of the technicians, to her friends. I have never dealt with a business who's employees, are so unprofessional, that they will argue with customers, who are discussing the issue with their boss.

I Went yesterday morning for a dr's appointment. They faxed over the prescription before 10am. I was told my script would be full and ready for pick up that night. We go this morning, as it for sure should be ready for pick up. Guess what? The script is not ready. We need to wait 30 mins for them to hand us a pack of test strips for my blood sugars. Not even pills they need to figure out the dose ect. They just have to litterly hand over a bottle of test strips, and they don't have their self together enough to have this script ready, almost 24hours later!!!!. I'm not impressed, we are going to be switching to Roulstons. Much better service.

I only every shop here for a small selected amount of goods and usually use the post office outlet a couple of times per year. This particular occasion I used the postal outlet on December 13, 2017. I was greeted by 2 young male school students. The service I received was incredible! The young lads were exceptional. Even though one young guy was training the other younger guy the service was the best I have ever received from any postal outlet, EVER! Canada Post should have a look here, these boys can show the main post office a thing or 2, great job!

I went to Shopper's Drug mart and was pleasantly surprised that they also carried grocery items to. You can get everything from bread, milk, eggs, also some frozen good. The best part is you still get PC Optimum points when you shop. The best thing I found was that the staff was outstanding. Any help I requested was given. I use a mobility scooter and I found that you could get around the store with no problems. If you don't want to be bothered to go to the bigger grocery stores this is convenient. I have one problem with them, I wish that they had some produce.

Although well maintained there is hardly any parking space as people park there to access the pub across the street, rude staff follow you around instead of dealing with the drunks that are sleeping in the store. Usually understocked and overpriced.

Great place, got my 2nd vaccine dose here they were all very kind. Also they have a wonderful cosmetician there named Chasitie. She helped me find a really awesome BHA product for my skin, and is incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend speaking with her if you're unsure of the right skin care products for you. Also, the store has an awesome location with a Value Village, Bulk Barn, ScotiaBank, all right in the plaza area.

Love all of the folks at this location. Friendly and helpful. Pharmacy staff always go above and beyond, and they care genuinely about you. Unlike other pharmacies here in town that close before dinner is ready, it's nice to have a healthcare partner open and ready for business when I need it, and not when the 9-5ers think it should be. Plus, the other chain in town, operates on ignorance and judgement. Thank you my shoppers!

I have been going to the Simcoe Shoppers since it opened. It is now one of the worst places to shop and pick up medications. It takes days to get your you're prescriptions. Lots of lies about when your prescription will be ready. Does it really take 2 or 3 days to fill a script. Also the owner has no ???? idea what compation means. Furthermore there is nothing ever in stock. I could on and on. But I will let you experienced it for yourself. Please don't let one person (owner/manager of the franchise Saurabh Jain) who could certainly use some sensitivity training ruin it for the rest of the employees who have been very kind and considerate. Just a footnote, to those who have oncerns with this store they always seem to receive the same reply which resembles a form letter with no explanation or results.

The pharmacy is extremely disorganized. They confuse prescriptions, miss messages and call incessantly. Multiple times I have been told my prescription is ready, only to show up and it not be. The service was fast but it seemed like I was more of a pain or inconvenience. The pharmacist & assistants are very unfriendly. They definitely need a lesson in customer service. They were rude & to make customers feel like we're a hassle is not gonna get repeat visits. I definitely won't be keeping my prescriptions with them. ------------I would like to add that I gave Shoppers employees 1 more try & this time was horrendous! The employees followed me around like i was a jewel thief. Or a band-aid bandit! I watched 1 lady peek around the shelves at me like she was just checking to see if I was checking out the $500 band-aid gold bars just in case I was slipping 1 or 2 into my boot so i could sell them to the local drug de......YEAH RIGHT......go help some of the customers your treating so brutally instead of focussing on me (I didnt steal anything this time, or the last time or even the 5 times before that time that i was followed) Get to know your customers & you won't have this problem. So needless to say I will never go back there again. Terrible job!! I will get my prescriptions from Kentucky Fried Chicken from here on out.

If you try to return anything be prepared to have to deal with a store manager who will stare down at you and leave for 15min without coming back. Then you will be given the run around and have to come back to the store three times. Super fun if you want to waste your time. If you get to speak to the store owner after trying to find her around the store, you will get a condescending conversation where she makes up her own rules for how the store is run. Perhaps because living in the North means making up your own rules for a nationwide company. Such deplorable customer service.

Witnessed some poorly behaved humans today on Easter Sunday. A customer told a refugee family to move out of her way so she could get going with her 4 big packages of poop paper. very rude and then the cashier looked at the family and shook her head and rolled her eyes. embarrassing to know I live in the same town as people like that. On Easter Sunday! They took one look at the family and realized that they are refugees and instantly they are third class citizens.

Just let me get checked out at the till. There was no-one behind me. And it took your cashier LONGER to check me out using the stupid self serve. But if you ever try calling the post office which is here at shoppers you'll need to call shoppers themselves and ask them to tell the people at the post office to pick up the phone. I visited this store on July 26/21 at about 8pm. Specifically the Beauty department. The woman there was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She was very patient with me considering I went in to buy a fragrance but was unsure about what I wanted. She kindly showed me recommendations based on what little information I gave her. Her knowledge concerning perfumes was impressive. I ended up going with something she really loves and I’m in love with it. Her knowledge about skincare was also very helpful. I hope managers read these reviews. I would like them to know how great she is.

The parking lot was really busy at about 5.20pm, only a couple of spots for disabled people's parking. There were shopping carts abandoned everywhere, including right in the doorway and scattered across the sidewalk making it very difficult for anyone disabled or with a baby buggy to get into the store. There weren't many members of staff available to provide assistance or answer queries. Not much choice of premium make-up brands. Disappointing lack of choice of other hair and beauty products in general. The Perspex barriers around the checkout made it extremely difficult to scan your PC Optimum card having to shove your arm through a rather small opening at an awkward angle with the staff member offering no help whatsoever. If my husband hadn't been with me I would not have been able to pack the items I purchased as again no help was offered & the next person was being served before we had time to keep stretching around the ridiculous Perspex barrier to where the sales "assistant" had left the items (close to her but very difficult for the customer to access). I will avoid this location from now on.

You can’t currently call the pharmacy since they overwrote the menu option with Covid information. When you spend 20 minutes on hold they don’t listen to you and rush you through signing your account up for things you didn’t ask for and previously removed from your account. To top it off, they don’t properly fill your prescription but don’t tell you that ahead of time. And when you do talk to someone they explain that they’re a busy pharmacy so these things happen frequently.

As 2021 draws to a close, I would like to take the opportunity to say a special ''thank you'' to the staff of Shoppers Drug Mart, Norfolk & Queensway, Simcoe, On. The service my family and I receive and have received for the past four years has been exemplary. I have relied on the great care, knowledge and professionalism the Pharmacy staff provide. However, I am especially touched by the way the staff have stepped up and taken on not only the responsibilities of making sure our medications are renewed and filled on time, but also that our questions are answered about our health and wellbeing as they are handling the added stress that comes with being front row centre in dealing with the changes and added precautions of Covid. I am a health care professional and I stand in respect for these people who come to their jobs and work harder than ever to make sure they fill a huge gap that has been created because seeing our doctors is much much more difficult these days. When the going gets tough and the public go into isolation and or added precautions...the staff in Shoppers Pharmacy are on the job providing this incredible service. What would we do without them?? Awful customer service! I do not suggest experimenting with expensive skin care/make-up products here as their return policy is not at all accommodating. Stick with Sephora or Ulta! I was lied to by a store associate that I could return a product if it caused an allergic reaction but then when I went in to do so I wasted my time with 3 different employees and was then told to come back to the store another day as the cosmetics manager was on vacation. The manager then added that they don't take back anything that can't be resold although this directly contradicts what the sales associate told me when I bought the product. Slightly ridiculous that the store manager working couldn't handle the return and I had to come back another day to possibly be denied my return - I have never had that happen at any other store.

This review is for the retail part of the store, I do not use their pharmacy. I have been shopping more and more at this location and have had excellent customer service experiences with each visit. I recently had a return that I needed to make and despite it being a busy time in the store, Tracy, one of the managers, took the time and had the patience to find a way to complete the return. She could have easily told me it wouldn’t work (it was busy, there were customers waiting and the system wasn’t cooperating) but she committed to trouble shoot and complete the return for me. It sounds like a simple thing but she never made me feel like I was a nuisance and that is becoming more rare in retail, especially during the busy holiday season. Thank you Tracy, your work does not go unnoticed!

Update 03/2020 I decided to keep my previous comments as this store has changed in the three years I have used them. I changed from a two star to four star as the pharmacy tries to not keep people waiting for an observation as they filter through customer's questions. Priorities are customer's questions even though there is a queue setup. I will keep this updated as required so keep checking. Every time I come here to fill my medicine even though it is always said it will be ready it never is. I usually like to walk my dog here but the wait times up to an hour and a half is too much for my dog to be tied out back. My medication I need is required at a certain time every day even coming an hour early to wait and they just give you a pager so you can walk around the mall as if you have nothing else to do in your day but hang out at the mall. I really can't wait for the medication I take to be available at my pharmacy which has only about a 5 minute wait. If anyone is interested try out Drug Basics at the Pine Street Food Basics.

Not following anti-covid protocols...1 human teller open (3 nobody uses self checkouts)...long lines...people walking in front of me...great way to get sick with covid especially after being closed prior day and super busy today...should have had all tellers open after holidays...go there to feel better but instead it's a covid spreader place...i didn't isolate for 11 months to get covid 1 week before the vaccine...i expect more from a healthcare facility than what shoppers provided today...no lines especially after a holiday!!!

the SAH faxed a prescription, there with only ONE, 2 others on the fax, were supposed to be kept on file, IF, I requested them. (potent painkillers). when I went to pick up the ONE prescription, there were 3, when questioned, the person told me, THREE were requested, I believe , the hospital requested one, and, the extra drugs, filling fee is an extra cost, when I told the person this, the answer was "you don't pay for it anyway, what is the big deal?, I get so frustrated when they bleed the gov't like this, the doc prescribes 90 days, they do 30 days, 3 times, this is a real rip off, and, I told them so, and, most times, I get the 90 days, but, they still try to get the extra filling fee once in awhile, I guess it's time for a change. any body else have this problem?, perhaps there is complaint line to the gov't to look into this., wonder why our health care is cutting back, issues like this should STOP.

Even my doctor told me not to go to this pharmacy, as they are notorious for bad customer service and ridiculously long wait times for medications. Before I knew this I went there to fill a prescription and they didn’t have the brand I normally get, and offered a knock off brand. I asked if it was still the same ingredients. They said yes so I trusted that, then a couple weeks later I had a severe reaction to it and I had to stop.

Walked up to the door of this store at 740 and was questioned by "security" as to how long I was going to be inside because the store was closing at 8. I had no choice to go there tonight as my AMAZING pharmacy ( Pharmasave Adels) was closed. Of course what happened... They lost my prescription and wanted me to come back, after already waiting an hour for it. I live out of town so there was no way I was waiting another hour. Shoppers pharmacy is so unprofessional and will continue to be that way.

When a customer feels like they are bugging the Pharmacist, for a consult, there is a problem. I did have my questions answered, however, each time I went up to ask very important questions, the Pharmacist rolled his eyes and rushed through each question. My inquiries were pertaining to prenatal vitamins, supplements etc. To me, it’s incredibly disheartening and frustrating, when you are inquiring to someone, who’s job is to help answer these inquiries, yet you feel devalued, as a paying customer. I think I may look into a new Pharmacy, for this reason. Very unfortunate experience.

I went in this Sunday to pickup a prescription that I had requested filled at the counter the previous Wednesday Sept 2. This would leave plenty of time to call me if there was a problem. The pharmacy was to fax a request to my doctor for the script as has been the case for some time now under covid. When I arrived to pickup on Sunday I was informed that my doctor had yet to respond to their fax request. I asked why I wasn't informed so I could do something about it. The woman just shrugged and said "well we cant call everyone". You would think they would have enough common sense to followup next day on requests that have not been responded to as opposed to "calling everyone" So now I'm stuck without medication for the remainder of the long weekend because "they cant call everyone" They just don't care. Update: I called my doctor this A.M. Tues Sept 8 and they informed me that they have received the fax request this morning.(6 days after my initial request) I doubt it was ever sent last week as the pharmacy claimed. On arrival to pickup up the prescription I was informed there would be a brief wait . No problem, and in 15 mins they were ready to inform me that they could provide 7 of 90 doses but I could come back later for the balance. I explained that I was no longer interested in doing business there, I was perfectly clear that "this just isnt working for me" That I would pay for the seven doses and have the balance of the prescription transferred to another pharmacy. I'm not sure how to explain the counter persons response but she reiterated that "no I would pay for the script in full and come back for the balance of 83 in a few days. I became annoyed and explained that I would not be coming back ever. Unbelievably this person continued to insist that things would be as she had explained. Another pharmacist came to the window and continued explanations in support of this person at which point I demanded the store manager. I was informed no manager was there. I again explained my position to this second person to which she finally says Oh OK. They are the most tone deaf organisation i have ever dealt with.

First of all, the woman working at Beauty Boutique, whose name is Hiwet is a racist. She constantly demonstrates her unwillingness of helping and "showing faces" to customers who are Asian or look like Asian. At the very beginning, I thought that I was just overthinking, but when I got into a conversation with one of my very good friends, she thought the same. Whenever I see her working, I would never go into the luxury beauty section. Very disappointed with my purchase with the associate "Hiwet". But, Lucie and Christina who are my favorites sales ladies there are absolutely wonderful! They always help with what you look for, and give honest recommendations. Saturday early afternoon the store is packed, there are only two cashiers. The line had 8 or more customers. This store removed two cashiers stations recently to replace them with self check out. Typical shoppers with typical hours. Layout same as most. Haven’t had medications filled here in years however the service is quick for over the counter purchases. I give an extra star because they have self checkout which makes it quicker when you have places to go and don’t want to wait in line. Prices are steep compared to other pharmacies or grocery like places. Can collect pc points so that’s a bonus.

I always like going to shoppers for everyday things. Make up shopping is annoying sometimes, I really hate when workers don’t even try to act secretive while they stare at me assuming I’m going to steal something because I took a day off work and decided to wear sweatpants and no make up, making me feel uncomfortable and not want to even continue shopping. I use the pharmacy and the only times I find that I have to wait a little longer is early to mid afternoon when they are the busiest. That's to be expected. The staff are very courteous and helpful. They also sell groceries along with the typical pharmacy products and there is even a postal outlet inside. The extra hours they are open helps too. Very convenient.

I have been a customer for at least 27 years and the service was great but has gone "down hill" fast. Prescriptions are not ready when they're supposed to be, the phone service sucks, and the over all customer service is not good. When you live out of town and have family members with special pharmaceutical needs, you need a pharmacy that is more reliable and has better follow up procedures with their customers and doctors. Regrettably... going to change pharmacies. Sorry, just my personal opinion.

Post Office outlet has staff that are friendly but sometimes line up is slow because other customers take a lot of time and there’s only 1 postal worker here. The pharmacy takes a LONG time to refill prescriptions, and I’ve always been told to come back later rather than wait. Only SDM I’ve used where this seems to be a regular occurrence, and Ive used several other SDMs across Canada over many years. The store has a good selection of typical SDM stuff you’d expect to find. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Now that Sears has closed I was excited to find that u carried my make up, till I went to buy it and I had the worst experience both times I went, as I walked in knowing I had to exchange something I was already feeling the anxiety well low and behold it was the same girl with no personality no smile and I needed help I had to do it myself she basically gave me what I needed to apply my own make up testing (qtips) and walked away like I was a bother to her and this was both times even after I was very appreciative on what little she did do, other than that the manager of the store was amazing exchanging what I needed
