Do not use Terminix if you live in Bothell. If you have any issues you will need to talk with the national call center (current hold times are 45+ minutes on average). If the national call center rep is unable to assist you will be told that the local branch will call you back which unfortunately never happens. Terminix will also not stand behind their satisfaction guarantee and you have no recourse to resolve the issue due to the local branch not calling back.

Your technicians did a wonderful job and were very pleasant people to have in my home. They made sure they did everything right and everything I wanted done. The guy who did my pest control service I believe his name was Robert Brown even made sure he knocked down any spider webs that were inside and outside of my home. There was 3 guys that came out to my house one of which I didn't actually speak to because he did all work on the outside of my house but he did call to let me know he was at my house and about to start working. The other 2 men I did see and speak too and they were both great. I will definitely without a doubt continue to use Terminix for ALL my future pest control and will not look for service from another company because by far Terminix has definitely been the greatest and I've had quite a few companies in the past and NONE NOT EVEN ONE of them could compare to the services or to the technicians I received from you guys at Terminix. My experience after being a customer for 12 years has ended. Recently I had an infestation of ants. I called the Bothell office which is where my service is based. Apparently there is a central call center which handles everything. After trying for two weeks to contact my service technician, I have cancelled my contract. I have contracted with a new service who pointed out to me several issues that Terminix had not been keeping up with. For Example: cleaning off spider webs and cobwebs from doorways, pulling out mouse traps that were full of mice. Looking for places of entry for both mice and ants. I tried to contact the manager of the local office as well as my service tech, I spoke to supervisors at the call center etc. I never received a call back from the local office. i question the authenticity of the reviews that have been posted. There is no way to speak to a local person under this situation where the telephone calls are going to a service center.

I always get Ibrahim Temur (Emp Number: 63234) who is an excellent Service Technician and he listens to all the requests and helps spray with specific pesticides and lays rat and insect/bug traps in and around the house perimeter. Ibrahim does a complete area inspection both Inside & Outside. I recommend the service done by Ibrahim and also the company for their prompt and detailed support every time.

We've had a membership with Terminix for their mole service, and have used them every summer for the past 5 years. After making an appointment for mole service, the day of service I get a call saying they no longer handle moles. I never received any notification of this supposed change in my contract. The branch manager said something about the treatment being ineffective, but it has always been effective for us. Probably some stupid cost-cutting decision. Yet, mole service is described on their webpage. Ridiculous.

Terrible customer service! The communication is awful. There have been multiple occasions where I did not receive an appointment notification. The technician would just show up. On one occasion I attempted to book an exclusion follow up service through the 800 number and the rep on the phone booked a different/standard appointment. I waited over a week and when the guy showed up he said he doesn't do what I called about and he would have to book me the correct appointment through his boss, which resulted in me waiting even longer. I've attempted to contact local management several times to express my concerns and never received a call back. I did receive a notification prior to my last appointment (roughly a month prior to this post) but the tech was over 40 minutes late and never called. I attempted to call him to find out if he was still coming but he wouldn't answer, probably because he knew I would be upset. Lastly, just a hour before this post, I called the 800 number in an attempt to cancel my service, was put on hold by the rep while she "noted the account" and after sitting on hold for over ten minutes I was hung up on and had to start the process all over again. Do yourself a favor and go with a different service for your pest control needs. Terminix, just like their customer service, is garbage.

My Tech Kyle with Terminix makes this contract a keeper. He is the best at searching out sources of pest issues. He searches on his hands and knees even to check under the house or the attic. I know that when Kyle has finished the service that I am in good shape to keep pests under control. He will even suggest a follow up visit if needed to check any issue he has identified. For 2+ years I have put my faith in Terminix and Kyle has never let me down. A+ Kyle!!

We have a german cockroach problem and wanted the best to come and deal with it thinking that terminix would get rid of them. The technician came and was at our house for maybe 10 - 15 minutes, both me and my boyfriend were surprised how little bait was put in two rooms and how quick it was. But okay great that wasn’t the real issue I was content and the guy was nice. Someone was supposed to come back in two weeks to rotate the bait and see what was going on and that never happened. All we got was a text saying how is it going and once we said there are still roaches when are you coming back no answer. We continued every few days texting and giving a phone call and still no response. It’s probably been now almost two months haven’t gotten any follow up or calls and the issue is still present or worse than it was before. Instead of paying for this service go out and buy all the baits yourself at the end it will eliminate your problem and you won’t have to wait around for someone who may not come back.

After paying $1000, no one called or picked up the phone when I need to know how the job is scheduled. No one seems care us as a customer. No one seems to have the desire to do the job or give us a good service. Technicians described their job differently from my agreement with the sales person when they first came. Trying to dump new insulation on the top of the old, instead of cleaning up the whole old insulation with Racoon wastes. After we complained to the main company number, no one called us to resolve the issues and no one tried to improve their attitude and service quality even after 3 days of the complaint. If they took my deposit and not knowing or not wanting to do the job the right way, I am going somewhere else for more professional service. It has been 8 days since their one and only show up. I need to get this attic done so we can move to other projects and move in soon. Now we are stucked with this lousy branch. I just want my deposit back and get other company who are more enthusiastic to do the job right. This Terminix is a company carrying big name with the poorest attitude and quality.

I don't know if its terminix training but the service i received from IBRAHIM TEMUR was great he quickly identified the 2 types of ants and he quickly found the 3 point of entry to my house . He sprayed and baited he asked questions about my family health concerns before applying treatment and gave me knowledge on my pest. I concur with other reviewers with scheduling issues. We scheduled a meeting on a Saturday 8am-12pm. We waited like fools till 1pm before calling their headquarters. They said they will call us back, nothing, nada, no word from them. Wasted my Saturday Morning waiting for them. Two representatives damaged my property (broke a gas line and scratched kitchen tiles) during a service and I was promised compensation for the damage on the phone by a local representative. This was last August and I still haven't been compensated. Each time I've called I've been told I need to speak with a specific person and that person won't return my calls. If the company can make this right I will remove or edit this review. All I want is compensation for damage to my home. Edit: The person I had spoken to in August isn't with the company hence why this issue slipped through the cracks but the branch manager reached out to me and we worked out compensation. Aside from the damage to my property, all of my other experience with Terminex has been positive.

Was having issues with field mice so I reached out to Terminix for service a tech came to my home for the start up and put down all these snap mice traps around my home. She told me in two weeks someone else would come out to check the traps and see how things are going. The next tech came two weeks later, however no mice were in the trap but I still had mice in my home. The tech put two little black boxes in the home, the mice have run over and around the box they have not gone in the box. Now it's time for the follow up service a month later. I received a text message from the tech he tells me his coming by around 1-3pm to check the outside of the home for spider webs. I texted him back and informed him I have mice not issues with spiders and that I no longer wanted his service due to me still having mice. He text back and said I needed to reach out to the company to cancel the service. On the day he was scheduled to come to me house I received a text message stating he was on his way at 5:40pm way off from 1-3pm, my sister was outside on the porch and never seen the tech show up. I still have mice all their traps are still in the same place they left them. This was the worse ever I would do better with some $3.00 glue traps. This was the worse service I have ever received and oh I'm still waiting for someone from their office to give me a call back and it has been days. Beware they don't stand by their word and the service is not great.

We recently called the 800 number to make an appt with Terminix on the 5th. We called on the 7th when we did not receive a phone call and was told callbacks are between 24-48 hours and to give them another day. Today is the 10th and we still did not receive a phone call. When I called the 800 number again I was informed that they have a single manager who could not guarantee a callback today. This is the second time that I have tried to set up an appt with this company. Come to find out the manager had a 425 area code phone number which is nearly 300 miles away from our home. I'm not sure if the distance plays a part in the delay, but the fact is we are not receiving any contact from the local company to show that we have some scale of importance. As such, they have deemed themselves unreliable and we have moved our services and money to Orkin. One call and we received same day service. For the future, make sure you are calling your customers especially if your guarantee callback time frame is between 24 and 48 hours. We shouldn't have to call the 800 number to get your local number.

Terminix always does a great job. The technicians are professional and friendly. In fact, we've never had a technician that didn't do a great job, and we've been customers for many, many years. Kyle, our current technician is awesome! After Terminix did a clean-out of our crawlspace, plugged all the holes there, and put down new plastic, we've had a lot less problems with rats and mice underneath our house. They've also tackled the problem we'd been having with moisture ants. (They are persistent little buggers!)

Stay away. They sent me a bill for $175 but charged my credit card $244. Then they charged me another $244 for another visit, even though I had cancelled and they never actually came. They don't return calls or respond to letters, either from the local office or from corporate. I would have been better off with a can of bug spray. Save your money.

This company scheduled an appointment between 1 and 4 on a Saturday. I changed my entire day around so that they can come and they never showed and never called! I canceled my contract. Do not go with this company! They are extremely unprofessional!

If I could give no stars, I would. This company is a rip off! I signed up for for this service and was promised they would take care of a rodent problem or my money back. I was told I had a contract for 3 months. After two appointments where technicians did not come prepared and could not complete the full task, I called in to complain and schedule one last appointment. The day of my appointment I took off work and waited 2 hours for someone to show up, but they never did. I called and rep stated the appointment was cancelled because my contract was over and I was never informed. It was only 30 days, not 3 months as stated. I tried speaking to a manager to cancel completely but he said my charges were valid and he would refund nothing and refused to help. So I am left with the same problem and a hole in my pocket. Update: After taking this to the BBB, the response I got for a refund was denied twice, I wrote the above google review, and they responded. I sent my complaint to the email provided and they did refund me the full charge. So hats off to the google complaints department for handling this quickly.

When it comes to bedbugs, don't go to this company. They are horrible. First they don't inform you about the actions they will take. Second, the guarantee they give you starts from the time they start their termination, not after they complete it. Third, the process takes forever, you have to be ready to live weeks upon weeks from bags, constantly cleaning your things, being bit by bed bugs, and paying an egregious amount for horrible service.

**STILL SENDING ME LETTERS ABOUT RENEWAL PLANS EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM NOT TO SEND ME ANYMORE LETTERS!** I called Terminix to get rid of one pest. Mice. What I got in return was another pest, Terminix itself. When I called Terminix, it was to deal with a mouse problem we were having in my house. The technicians went throughout my kitchen and basement and laid mouse traps all over the place. I told them that the mice were mainly in the kitchen, but they were insistent on placing traps in the basement. Okay, done deal. A few weeks go by, I'm still seeing mice activity and none of the traps have been triggered and none of the bait has been eaten. I call them up, I tell them that the traps aren't working. They say they're going to send a technician to see what he can do. The technician comes in, makes a brief inspection around the kitchen and basement and leaves without moving or adjusting the traps. I was, unfortunately, at work so a relative was home in my stead. If I had known he was going to come in and leave I would have demanded he move the traps. But since I wasn't, he left and checked it off as an appointment cleared. So, because the technician didn't do sh**, I left a bad review on him. The technician has the gall to call me and ask why I left a bad review. I tell him it was because he didn't do anything when he came to inspect the traps. Mice are still running around and none of the traps have gotten ANY of them. He said he would come by the next morning. So I stay home, and I wait, and wait, and wait. The technician never shows up. So then I call the manager to complain about the technician and tell them he is no longer welcome in my home. The manager apologizes and sends another technician. The other technicians add more traps and move them around but still can't figure out why the mice aren't triggering the traps. To quote the technician, "No mouse is going to outsmart me." Well, the mice did. Even after moving the traps they failed to capture or kill any mice. I told the technician that he gave me a card with a non-working phone number when he said I could call him anytime. When I showed him the card he said, "I didn't give you this card." I said that he gave it to me the first day he showed up, and he said, "No I didn't. Why would I have this card?" Well where the F--- did I get the card from? So rather than accept he may have given me the wrong card, he ARGUES WITH ME. I did not have any terminix cards prior to meeting the technician, so why would I have one? So not only does the technician argue with me, but I still have a mouse problem that has not been resolved, and now I've "run out of my paid inspections." Are you kidding me? So rather than call the manager again, I moved the traps and caught several mice on my own. I e-mailed the manager saying that I think I am owed a refund but they never wrote back (of course.) Fast forward to several months, and Terminix is still sending me "Your plan is up for renewal" notices. All right, well let me tell you Terminix that your company is terrible and I will never renew with you ever again or ever have your incompetent technicians come fix a pest problem. Send me another notice, I'd be more than happy to trash your company even further. **EDIT** I sent an e-mail to social support and someone called me tomorrow afternoon telling me that the contract has been closed and that I won't receive anymore notices. Since it takes a few months before the next notice, I'll wait until I can confirm that they won't be coming in the mail anymore.

I have never had a problem with the service. I have always had excellent professionals. That said, I am not happy with the attempts to communicate in order to get rid of some stink bugs. I read online that Terminix Bothel, WA was open 24 hours a day! I was surprised, but happy. Then I had to go through 5 minutes of robot talk only to be told that they would connect me to an agent and then.... instead of a person..... I got a recording that said they were only open during regular business hours. OMG!!!!! I had tried to call one day last week and was on a hold for over 15 minutes and had to hang up. The good guys who come to my house, wearing the Terminix shirts, need better support from their company so the clients don't cancel their contracts out of frustration. !

A company modeled off the pest control department from Parks & Recreation. Terminix sent someone to give me a quote on bird removal in June- I never heard back from that technician, so I called, was told that the office would reach out to the technician, but we must give him 1 business day to get back to me. Nothing happened. I called back and was told the exact same thing, but that this time because I had called twice, they would “escalate” if the technician didn’t get back to me, and I was assured that the office would give me a call whether the technician called or not to check up on me. Nothing happened again. I just called back one last time and gave up after 20 minutes on hold. Unbelievably bad service and massive waste of time.

I called a few months back to have our ant and moth problem dealt with. They charged me upfront and told me that it would take them a few weeks to solve my issue because ants are hard to deal with. When they finally got around to coming out the exterminator told me that for the first week or two the problem would get worse before it got better because of the technique they use. He said there was no mention of a moth problem and because of that he did not have the proper things to deal with it. The ant problem did indeed get worse and a few weeks later I had them come out again. This time he set up bait for the ants and moths but did not do much more than that, no treatment whatsoever! I have tried calling the last 2 weeks nearly every day to get ahold of someone to ask what is going on but it seems that they are very understaffed and I only got on the phone 1 time with a real person. At that point I was absolutely fed up and asked for a refund. Finally when I was transferred to the billing department I was assured that a manager would call me back in a few business days but I have still yet to receive that call. I absolutely do not recommend you use Terminex, it was a disappointing experience especially after they pride themselves on being the best pest control company out there!

I have a squirrel problem in my attic. Terminix gave us a quote for $1,100. Then applied a promo discount of $100. They stated they will set up traps and seal the opening where the squirrel is coming in from. Next day the technician come and tell us they can’t get to the hole where the squirrel enters from since the roof is higher then the ladder they are allowed to use. They set up snap traps near the entrance point and they use a cage which I purchased. 3 weeks go by and they are unable to catch the squirrel. They come Monday and Friday each week to open the cage and close the cage since they don’t work on weekend. One day I notice a hole on the bathroom ceiling the the squirrel created. I called terminix tech. They came but said they can’t reach that part of the attic. My husband said to close the entry point from the inside. Which they did but said the squirrel can still come in. Next day the squirrel is back. I called customer service to have the manager call me back from Trenton NJ office. I called 4 days in a row for a manager to call me back. No one called me! The fifth day another tech gives me a call asking if I have a mice problem. I said no and told him about the squirrel. He said he was going to put more traps and poison with peanut butter. He said it will take few days for the poison to work. It’s been 3 weeks. The squirrel had babies in the attic and they wake up 4 in the morning and run around. I told the tech and he said “to be patient”. Today January 19th 2021 the tech was suppose to come as he stated last Friday. I called him to ask what time he is coming and he said he can’t come today since his appointment got moved back due to the holiday. He said he will come tomorrow around 1pm. I asked him what is he going to do different? He said “I don’t know”. I said we have paid so much money and you guys are not able to resolve the issue. You can’t catch the squirrel, you can’t seal the entrance point and can’t access the area where the squirrel did the damage. Why am I paying you? Tech told me to call the 1-800 number and get another technician. The unprofessional manner and the lack of customer service is disgusting.

The technician, Phil Dorofy gave me his cel and asked me to reach out to directly to schedule visits and re-visits instead of going through the regular number. I share pictures of the issue, schedule a visit in no time. He also keeps a good track of the history of issues and treatments in my house. In this particular visit where I called him over to check on a couple of issues (fungus growth in tha yard and spider webs), he proactively spotted a growing Hornet’s nest and started treating it. I have also been very happy with the responsiveness of Terminix in general compared to the other cheaper options available in the market.

Moving into new home. We were not sure what preventive measures had been done by old owner. But we also noticed a LOT of ant activity around the outside of home. We decided to do preventive termite treatment, and treat for the ants. The Tech who did the inspection reported that there was no termite activity, but we wanted to be safe. I am a long time customer and until now have, in general been satisfied with Terminix. However, in the last month, having been concerned with possible ant/termite activity in my deck, I have now contacted the company FOUR times to send someone out to inspect and recommend any required action. Each time an appt. was set up and each time resulted in a NO SHOW / NO CALL. There seems to be a total disconnect between the centralized scheduling operation and the local office that does the work. I told her Terminix for both and so far I was happy. This is my first experience with Terminix and it has only been a few months. My ant situation is under control in the house. 11/4/21 Update: Your office just called and had the audacity to ask us "why did you cancel your commercial services with Terminix?" You guys are an absolute disorganized mess and obviously don't keep records. You seriously need a business overhaul. Yikes. 9/9/21 Update: Emailed the support response two weeks ago and never heard back - typical, thanks for confirming our initial review. August 2021: No call, no show, no communication, no billing. Their technicians don't respond to phone calls or texts. Their office is beyond disorganized and unable to locate active accounts. Can't provide any information when asked. Our commercial account manager avoids her job, doesn't respond, ignores emails, and after demanding a response we get an immature snot nosed answer that didn't resolve the original issue and you're left hanging. You have to do Terminix's job for them and they refuse to apologize. Terminix actually told us in writing that they cannot guarantee our monthly service and "we'll get to you if we get to you." Bye Terminix, you've been the most unprofessional nightmare to deal with.

Despite securing two appointments, I couldn't get them to show up. I had an online time for 5-2-20. The guy sent a text to the phone number and since it was a landline, I never got it so he decided not to show up. On 5-5, my next appt, I called the Bothell office to confirm time since no one showed up. They transferred the call to Service and after waiting 30 minutes I called Bothell back. They again transferred me to Service and after 10 minutes I hung up. I called the National number and within a few minutes I got a live person. He tried to contact the guy who was supposed to come out, but that guy never answered. I'll go to Orkin next. I get this is Covid time, however their "Please Hold" has a message from their CEO that they are an essential business, are here for and value their customers. Huh.

After making my appointment the technician called me to come over and do a preliminary inspection of the premises the next day, 2 days before he got here to spray. I took a day off of work and he never showed up. No call, no show. Then on the day of the actual appointment he called me and told me he couldn't get to me until 4 hours after the scheduled time. I've now lost 2 days of work due to irresponsible scheduling. Whether this is the fault of the technician or of terminix and their scheduling system I don't know. What I do know is that I will be taking my money to a local exterminator who actually cares about timing and scheduling.

We have been a Terminix customer since 2004. While there has been lots of turnover with our service person over the years, they were always communicative and addressed any issues we have had, until now. I have called to schedule an inspection 3 times and been ghosted for every appointment. The manager is unable to pick up a phone to call me and address the issue so today I am canceling our service with Terminix and will be moving on to a new pest control company. I can no longer in good conscious recommend this company.

Terrible customer service. They came for a rodent inspection, gave me a pricey quote of over $2,200, and told me they would call within a day or two to schedule service. No one called and I had to contact them myself to make the appointment. It was scheduled for 8:00 today so I arranged to be at home. The company was responsive at first we set an appointment for fleas and external house treatment and pree payed.the appointment had to be postponed and the company wasn't responding thay then called with a 1 day notice. We saw immediate results and we are thrilled. We had been under siege for a year and half by sugar ants as well as, grease loving ants. In March of this year, they were dropping out of ceiling and into anything I was preparing for our meals. They were everywhere. We tried various over the counter ant poison to no avail. We finally surrendered and called Terminix. It took a week before we notice dead ants everywhere. The conclusion...., we really appreciate the relief. We’ll have to update this note later, just to let others know if this treatment continued working. Thank you Terminix for eliminating those pesky ants.

Safe Shield was a great pest control company but since they were conglomerated by Terminix, it's all gone downhill. I finally terminated Terminix effective yesterday due to the following couple of events in the past few months: last January a Terminix technician just showed up at our house to do our service with no prior appointment notification (phone message or text) and last Monday I had a 1-5pm appointment window and nobody even showed up period. One of my neighbors wanted me to write this review as she does not use the internet. I told her that when one is happy with a service they should tell everyone, especially because we live in a thankless society. So this is in her words what Terminix has done for her: I have been using pest control service for 23 years after discovering an ant problem. No one has gotten the ant problem under control. I have lived in my home a total of 52 years. I went with several companies. The last company got bought out by Terminix, I was prepared to cancel my service as I have had Terminix in the past and was not impressed. A tech named Don, came out to my house in North Seattle. He took all the items out of my cupboard and put a product inside my cabinets, he then took all the plates off the light switches and treated there. Finally he treated my doors and baseboards. This is the first time in 23 years, I am ant free! If any of you ever get Don from Terminix inside your home, you will see results! Thank you Terminix for training to be better than what they were! I will continue to say good things about your service, I have not seen an ant in 2 months inside my kitchen! I am happy!

For 2 years we had large black ants living inside a post that was attached to our home and occasionally smaller black ants in the house. Shortly after calling Terminex the ants have not been seen for all the years we have used them. Our routine service with Terminix is great, but that is the only positive thing I can say about them. Last week I tried calling Terminix for a rodent inspection. Every call got dropped, so I used the chat function online. I was given an appointment for the next day, Thursday Nov. 5th from 8-10am. Nobody showed up. I called back and finally got a live person who rescheduled me for Monday, today, Nov. 9th from 8-10am. She assured me someone would show up and she gave me her employee number (97795). Again, we waited today and nobody showed up. I called the Seattle location and spoke to Steven. He said we were not on the schedule for today. He left voice mail with two supervisors on our behalf. Then he saw that the technician, Theodore, said that we turned down the inspection at 8:10am today, which is a flat out lie. We have had no communication with Theodore. Steven rescheduled us for the 3rd time for tomorrow. In the meantime I am emailing the branch manager, Will Clark, and hoping for some answers. There is no excuse for any of this to have happened, much less repeatedly.

I was given updates on the tech's arrival time. The services provided were explained in detail as well as all documentation sent via email.
