it was my regular quarterly service visit to maintain protection. My regular technician was off that day, and I was sent a substitute technician to perform my services. She was very professional and informed me about all the services performed.
I was introduced to this company by a very knowledgable gentleman, Javed I believe. He thoroughly explained the service for Terminix As I was experiencing ant and carpenter bee issues plus mice in the garage this service was perfect for me. Javed walked me through the process and it was good for my needs. I signed and had a tech at my house within 3 days. Amazing! William came to my home and explained the process and exactly what he was going to be doing all around my property and garage. William was clear and very personable.. It was a very good experience and I learned quite alot. I will look forward to seeing William in 3 or 4 months. I am a very satisfied customer. Thank Deborah
Overall the experience has been decent with Terminix. The pests are less and less evident around the house. They came quickly to replace an ant bait station, that had been damaged, quickly and at no cost. Recently, there was a mistake in scheduling and they did service twice in a months time. They voided the cost of one of the visits. The costumer service I have received is timely and respectful. Scheduling can be difficult, at times, to ensure there is someone home to let them in since inside is where they need to come to check bait stations and traps.

Called 800 Terminix for an ant problem. It's been 1 1/2 months and It's no better. We asked them not to send the tech that had been coming because he was rude. They scheduled him anyway and he didn't even show up. I spoke to the branch manager and he was sending someone out the next day. He said the former tech's sprayer wasn't working...so if it wasn't working, he wasn't spraying for ants in the first place. The other tech didn't show the next day either. I called in to see when they were going to fix this and found they'd set an appointment for Saturday morning and didn't tell us. Every call is a 20 minute hold and they've done nothing. But they made sure to charge our bank account.
Our technician has been so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He has definitely gone above and beyond expectations multiple times for our family and we appreciate him so much. We recommend him and Terminix's service to all of our neighbors. We always have reliable service and when new issues arise, they are quick to respond.
Andrew was very in tune to everything I needed done. He notified me when he was on his way, listened to everything I said and was extremely efficient in not only treating the exterior & interior of my home, but, removing the source of the carpenter ants(2 colonies in a logs outside my home)! I am very glad to review the services rendered by Terminix Canada, I have an ongoing rodents issue for so many years,. Local companies use to come and do the stop gap arrangements but could not figure out the root cause of the problem, Mueen and experienced highly professional Technician came at my premises and did the thorough inspection and found a hole just under the electric inlet wire which was entry point for rodents. He fixed the hard to reach hole and no more problem afterward as he inspected the attic for activity, issues resolved for ever. Very happy and satisfied with the service.
nothing they offered worked for our mouse situation .. actually seemed attract more mice. we stayed patient for awhile hoping something good would come of it, but it never did so we switched companies and we haven’t seen a mouse since.

Overall our experience with them was great. Our technician Bill whom came out was very friendly. He had the answers to all of our concerns we had. He went through the process of what he will be doing and what shall come into the future with their services. Definitely reccomend them!
Crooks. Did not provide spray service in timely fashion to address ants and claim that placing a couple of ant traps outside constitutes 'service'. And then have the gaul to process payment AND a cancellation fee - without EVER providing the spray service, which was the whole intent of purchase! What a joke and terrible customer service! Scoring of 1 is just so wrong, should be -100!
I filled out Get A Free Estimate on the Terminix Canada website. About 30 minutes later I get a phone call(had preferred communication via Email). The sale rep said his name was Mike and that it would cost anywhere from starting at $300 up. I was like, but how are you charging me when you are adversting FREE ESTIMATE. He tells me he is not aware of this promotion. Ask me to hold so he can check the website. Comes back on the phone goes "oh yes I see it", but is still insisting that I will be charged for someone to come out and inspect. I asked for a supervisor/manager "oh they are not available" I mean is this a scam Terminix???? Y'ALL need to be reported to BBB.

Hi! We had few time pest control guy but man named Kushal carry out such a professional way that I had to appreciate. Terminix is a nightmare to deal with. First, they do not "terminate" by themselves. I have had to call them several times to cancel their services because if you don't cancel, they auto-renew. Despite my efforts, their retention department keeps harassing us with phone calls, emails, and invoices.
Last summer we had a bee hive on a tree right in front of our home. We called Magical Pest Control to remove the hive. They came and removed it quickly and safely. We were so happy with their service, we referred them to our relatives who had a hive in their garage. They were very happy with the service and results. I would never try dealing with bees on my own. I highly recommend hiring the professionals at Magical, and getting the job done safely as quickly as possible.

Requested an estimate. Was offered an inspection, along with a termite inspection. No one showed up for the appointment. Rescheduled the appointment due to them not showing up, and guess what - still no show!
Kushal came by to do service today. Extremely professional and took his time explaining the plan of attack, and addressed several new issues I noticed since my last service. I love how my contract has full coverage against pests!

John the specialist(inspector) was a no show no call non caring person. The two personal that try to help me locate and find out John's ETA on him scheduled meeting with me were very professional. I find the service technician very unprofessional, will not want to help unless it’s specified on the work order. When I call head office I am being apologized to for the wrongdoing of the technicians but nothing seems to change.

Very poor customer service. Appointment time frames are not kept. They have no idea what to do with the "exclusion package". I called and complained to the National customer service number and this location many times. The managers from the location were always supposed to call me back and never did. Finally they said they were going to sublease my account out and get back to me with the details.... they never called back. Just avoid this service.
They did a fantastic job of explaining everything they were doing and why. Took the time and showed my wife the new type of traps they use that are safe for our 2 small dogs are to be around. What really impressed my wife was he was the fact that he made sure that he was fully complied with PPE as he was informed before coming to our home that I was 73 and had a lot of severe medical problems that she was worried about. We were totally impressed and glad we called Terminix!!

CLV Group hired Magical Pest Control to treat our bed bugs in our townhome. We got them from a neighbour putting out an infested mattrice on our back conjoining wall, they aparently didn't even know they had them and we didn't notice until …
Eddie has been coming to our home every quarter. He is very polite and attentive to the issues. He is very thorough. Very pleased with his professionalism and care.
Our tech, Jackie Wilson, is a gem. We look forward to his visits as he is so friendly, professional, efficient, and timely. Jackie is one of the happiest people I have ever met. He is always in a good mood and being around him makes you happy. His laugh is infectious and he is a joy to be around. It is a pleasure to have him in our home and we love seeing him for our quarterly visits.
Went through my whole house, charged full amount possible & treated 1 area twice. Contacted them 3 times in over 2 weeks w/no success on getting any call backs. Please read all the comments. They Do Not contact you, you have to work around their schedule, & they really are a scam. I was told by the techs that they use a different solution each time they come out b/c they never know which one will actually work. Each person that came out gave me conflicting information. Really sad! Very disappointed. No wonder the BBB has so many complaints on them.

Eddie did a complete job at the house for our main problem - ants. Terminix has been very busy lately and it took awhile before they could finally make it out to the site. But once they did show up, they did a nice scan around the property and applied all the necessary product to fight back our pests.
I would not recommend doing business with this particular company. I made an appointment timeframe 8a to 12p on a Saturday they then called me back to reschedule from 1p to 3p. The day of the appointment I was home in the morning and on my way out saw a note left at 1050a "sorry we missed you". I called back confirming my appointment which was set for 1p to 3p. This was at 1130a. They called the technician his name Adam. Adam said he was going to be here in half an hour to 45 mins. 2 hrs later still no show. I call back at 2p now they can't get a hold of the technician and left him a vm. 3p arrived and Adam never showed up. Very unprofessional and inconvenient. It was a weekend and I had to waste half my day waiting.
We have Terminix Pest Control for many years now. We started when the basement was taken over by spider webs and saw many insects like ants and earwigs in the kitchen and bathrooms. Now we see very few pests. The technician is very courteous and professional. Calls ahead of appointments and explains details to us after service. During the visit he examines outside for pest activity, wasp nests, etc. Most of the control is applied outside the house and some in the bathrooms. Cost of the service has been kept at a competitive level by Terminix.
Very easy to set up an appointment. Pricing is competitive and I like how it is set up for quarterly service with extra service by request. Were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Giving them one star is too much! Made an appointment for them to come out, the customer service rep. who set the appointment said they would be here between 8-10am. At 10:15 I called the customer service line and they put me on hold for a while, then came back and said they would call me when they are on their way and to give it another hour to hour and a half. Well after 12:30 I called and cancelled the appointment completely. The rep. I spoke to did not offer any reason why they still didn't show up and really didn't seem to care very much either. Bad first impression, will not be calling them again.
Their man wasn't very helpful in answering my questions. Came about 1 pm. Practically kicked us out and said we couldn't come back for 4 hrs. I wanted to know what he was using, and what the course of action would be. I may have to redo this place myself.
A+ FOR TERMINIX AND MY TECHNICIAN, A. FRANK MESA. I love the customer service I received from my technician (A. Frank Mesa). I guess it came across that I'm "afraid" of spiders (or really any bug), so he took extra steps to make sure that I didn't have to deal with those little buggers like I had been .... and he was right - I've only seen 1 or 2 spiders in the last month vs 20 spiders - yeah!!! He was very detailed and thoroughly sprayed inside my house, as well as outside. I love the fact that he called me the day before the service to confirm when he would be arriving; and yes, he was on time!!! Thanks Terminix. I appreciate Frank going way above and beyond the call of service by sweeping away / removing my many spider webs on the front and back of my house. I was soooooo happy with Frank's fabulous service - He ROCKS!!! Getting Terminix was definitely cheaper than just picking up and letting the spiders win :-)
My experience was very good the Terminix person, Anandy sp?, seemed very interested in helping me get rid of any pests that left some evidence of their existence. What I also liked was his comment that after 3 weeks if there was still evidence don’t wait another day, contact Terminix and they will send someone out... Hans
Fraud business, they use a liar salesperson that asks you to provide your card info to make sure it is you, in reality you sign a "CONTRACT" and they charging you money without any notice every month and when I called I talked to a guy name Rob Davis the 'MANAGER' that was rude and said that I signed the contract and its all my fault. in the end he agreed to cancel my idiotic "CONTRACT" which btw no one ever even showed up to perform any service lol and its been more than a month today, and what I found out? They charged me AGAIN! ZERO STARS !

I'm started using terminix's services in January this year to tackle a big ant infestation in my home and I had someone come treat my home twice thus far and although it does seem like less ants are coming into my home than before, I don't know if that's due to the weather, the treatment, or both. I'm still seeing some ants appearing in my home on a daily basis, along with a few wing ants every now and then. But I'm willing to see how the treatment affects the ants on a longer term. So far just 3 stars as I'm still evaluating the impact, but the Terminix people were very helpful and a pleasure to work with.

Started a contract and they did the first service, then didn't come back again for more then a month. After calling and complaining we finally got someone to come back and treat again. But then a whole month goes by and they don't return. We called and cancelled looking for a refund because they wouldn't do thier job and they said we don't do refunds after thier first treating. Which their website says money back as long as there is still bugs so that's a lie. I called the main manager for my area and he said he would get back to me within 5-10 minutes. Its now been like 6 days since then. Awful service. Major scam. If someone doesn't contact me about a refund and fulfillment of service we will have to press charges against the company.

As with other reviewers, I would give 0 stars if possible. I should know better - "Terminix Canada" (which actually seems to be a net work of smaller companies) came by door to door... First treatment was fine - though what I actually received for the payment was underwhelming. Then - I received an e-mail on August 24th saying they would be here on September 19th. Nobody came, nobody phoned to say hey, we need to reschedule (though they keep telling me they're a HUGE Billion $$ Company!!) Like the others, I took the day off to be here. I then received an e-mail on September 30th at 12:41 p.m. (a Saturday) stating they would be at my place on October 2 (MONDAY MORNING) from 9 am - 1 pm. I immediately phoned them to ask them not to come as I had to work. That call went to voice mail They came anyway. As I wasn't at the house, they couldn't do any interior work but did do some exterior work. I again phoned them and got somebody for a change and said it was completely unacceptable that a) they didn't show up when they were supposed to in September b) I had taken the day off to be there on September 19th c) they gave me no notice (I consider Saturday at 12:41 pm for a Monday morning appointment as NO notice) that they were coming Monday morning allowing me no time to reschedule my calendar d) e-mailed me on October 4th to say that the Manager was away and would contact me on October 10th; e) never contacted me and e) billed me the full amount on November 3rd. Were they hoping if they waited long enough to bill me I might not notice? I immediately called MAGICAL PEST CONTROL of Concord - who does the actual billing - re-iterating all of the above. Again. The woman in accounts receivable said she would have somebody contact me. I'm still waiting. And Imagine I will be. DO NOT USE TERMINIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ZERO STARS, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Avoid these guys like the plague, they never show up, always mislead you and feed you false information. They pushed me off causing my issue to get worse, damage has now been caused and would never recommend this company to anyone
The service technicians are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Since using their service I almost never see bugs inside my home, and I'm assuming the ones I see have more to do with it kids leaving the door open. We also no longer have a problem with mice and we used to see two or three a season.

We LOVE Terminix! First, the staff - Michael Donnelly is our inspector and he is professional, honest and great to work with. Your online chat folk we chatted with included Ambria (I think I spelled it correctly), Tracey, and Brittany - were wonderful in the same way... very efficient and polite and got the job done. Terminix staffing is obviously top drawer. We have a very unusual situation in our property being shaded in more than property surrounding us and in the area because of mountains. We are ffrozen in the November through March months. Also our top soil shifts around because of the steep sides on our land - PLUS in the middle of the woods... termite control is a MUST. All your staff took great care to note this and put it in our account for Michael to see when our schedule comes up. Our primary reason? We trust Terminix. That is a huge plus in being willing to recommend your company to folk we care about.
This is twice in a row that the technician showed up untimely. The first time he was to come in the afternoon but showed up at 8 am and the family had to scramble to get out of the house as he had to treat internally. Today he showed up without a scheduled appointment. I would appreciate if we can book appointments and then stick to it...
I have quarterly services since 2020. The first year service was on schedule but they charged me before the service was delivered. Bugs problem is not fixed but I was to give it some time see the result. This year they came for the first service on July 2 , but had to rescheduled due to rain. I again got a bill for the service not delivered. Finally on July 31 I called the office and they said will send someone to do the job. Did not show up.

The 5 star reviews have to be bought. Go to Yelp and see all of the 1 star reviews there. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They completely scammed my 80+ year old parents in Libertyville. Came out one time to spray for ants. The service did not work. Terminix was supposed to come back two weeks later to check on the service. A date/time was set up and they did not show up. My mother called 6-7 times after that to get someone out. She kept reaching the answering service but no one ever called her back. My parents paid extra for an annual service but can't use it because no one answers the phone. Not that they would want to use it after the ineffective treatment and unresponsive service they've received to date.

Not specifically the location but Terminix in general is a joke. They rescheduled a bug spraying appointment on us 3 times without any sort of notification. I have had Terminex service my home for over 3 years now and I am very pleased with their service. I live near the water and pests really love the water area and Terminex has kept everything under control. I can't thank them enough!!

I can echo the rest of the reviews here in suggesting that you don't waste your time with this business. The customer service number is disconnected from the scheduler so there is no cohesive messaging between the two. What this means is when you do try to schedule something, they submit a request to someone who schedules the service. This could end up being scheduled in a week (my first service) or in three to four weeks (the service I tried to schedule after the first application didn't help) - they won't tell you when it's scheduled, you just need to make sure your calendar is cleared for when they have time to come to your home. Customer service on the phone can't handle your complaints and the email they forward you to doesn't bother responding. It's a broken business and they don't deserve your money. Unfortunately, I now have to get a refund processed through my credit card as customer service is unwilling to help me in this process.
I am always amazed at the thoughtful customer service I receive from Terminix - notices before, if I am home a knock on the door and polite service personnel and then follow up once the service is complete.

Don’t waste your time on this company. All they do is lie and not show up for appointments you’ve made and than show up on some random day. You than have to wait two more months for them to come service your home so if you’re having any type of pest issue than you’re screwed for the next two months. I’ve even spoken with the management at this company and it’s clear that no one has any experience in dealing with customers with this company. It amazes me this company is still in business. You’re better off going to Canadian tire to buy some raid and treating your house yourself. If I could rate it 0 stars that would be my rating. They don’t even deserve one star

One of the worst companies I have dealt with. The company was scheduled to come on Friday for a spray, but the guy showed up on Tuesday unprofessionally asking us to leave the apartment for 4 hours, we were totally unprepared for it. I made the "ill-tempered" person to apply gel instead of spraying. It took him less than 10 minutes to apply the gel into the kitchen and 2 washrooms. He did not look for crevices or cracks, he just opened the cupboards and applied the gel. That was the second visit of the company, the first spray session did not get rid of the roaches (understandable only if they do their job thoroughly). It is a PURE mentality for reoccurred business. Save your money, watch videos on youtube and do the job yourself.

We have been dealing with Ahnand from Terminix for the last couple of years when we first discovered pest problems. We signed up for the quarterly service plus free follow ups whenever there are any issues in between visits. Ahnand is very knowledgable, experienced, polite and friendly. We wouldn't deal with anyone else!!
Supervisor James was very throughout on the explanation of the process and costs associated removal of the mice in my rental unit. Kudos to this man and Jake at customer service for the amazing work they did for the handling of this matter. would definitely use again if needed.
The sales man came to my place and spoke of what they would do outside my home to get ride of the spiders that make a tone of webs all over the outside my home and the ant prevention. I mentioned that I recently had all my windows cleaned and he assured me that there wouldn’t be any mess to them in any way or form. The following week the terminix guy came to do the work and they guy cleaned with his pole followed by spraying there product everywhere making a complete mess of all my windows leaving a white film on every window. The guy also sprayed my shed and stained it with the product. When I called the company I can only get threw to sales/customer service that says they will forward the message. It’s been 3 days and no return call. Avoid this company!

This company is not professional and has really bad customer service. Someone knocked my door in May to provide pet control services. The sales girl was nice and told us they do bug control all around the house and backyard area, even around pool area. I was happy to give 4 postdated cheque. After first time service in the beginning of the June, ants became more and more , even we found a lot inside the house. After second time service, ants situation was still not improved. I decided to cancel the contract and stop payment. My nightmare came, their manager did not want to provide the name and refused to talk when I requested to talk to the manager. The collection lady is calling me everyday in the early morning and night, even though I had already had solution with their "manager". The service is not worth 199+ tax for each visiting, they just come to spray some chemical.

We had our first service in June I think, there are still lots of ants and spider in the backyard, so I called back for another service and booked July 30th for the treatment, no one showed up without any notice, their customer called back for another appointment on August 6th, again no one showed up without any notice, I tried to contact the sales person who had me sign the contract, he told me to contact their customer service directly, and every time I call the customer serve they told me they would leave a message for the billing team. Very disappointed
Johnathan is the tech. I request all the time. He knows what I need done and does it very professionally. He has been on time and presents himself very well. Customer service has been very helpful when I called a few times.

Paid half down for services that were never rendered they never showed up to do the work that was typed up on the contract this happened two to three times in two weeks. And they were no shows every time and then had to fight to get our money back. Services were never rendered at any time. And it was just to install a sump pump and the check existing French drains to see if they were still up to date. I learned valuable lesson, never pay for anything until the job is done. The building that I live in hired this company to come in and get rid of pharaoh ants. The first day they did not bother to show up saying they went to wrong address(how did they give a quote if they did not know where the would be working) when they did come and baited told us not to use strong cleaners or pesticides where they baited. They were to come back 2-3 weeks later and bait again were there were still ants. They set a date and than never came. Then they sent notice that they were coming back on Nov 6-7, but not for the pharaoh ants but cockroaches. They used pesticides that were harmful to animals and people. They sprayed most of the apartments. Problem is the ants are still here and what ever they use will not go deep enough to kill the ants, look up pharaoh ants and see what happens when they are threatened. Each nest has more than one queen, they separate to make new nests than produce more queens and I love this part, they breed faster. Needless to say I did not let them spray in my apartment, I have enough of these ants already, and chances are more will be coming soon. Since they started with this cockroach spraying some are already seeing ants who didn't have them because of what they are doing. This company really needs to do there homework and finish one job before starting another. I would not even pay them for this crappy work.

The bug buster from Terminex was on time and treated the house with various treatments to resolve the issue. They wear booties on their shoes when entering your house, so no mess there. They are very knowledgeable in their explanation of the problem, causes and treatments.
If you have bed bugs, please do not let this company treat them with heat! They only multiply and spread like wild fire. It took them 3 weeks to treat my unit and still haven't heard back when they will fumigate next time. I'm still infested. I would NOT recommend this company if you have bed bugs.

I'm sure they probably get the job done, but from a mortgage lenders perspective that rely's on termite reports Terminix is my absolute last resort. Customer service is horrible from my encounter, you cant contact the office directly that did the work, all calls are routed to a central call center. Heaven forbid you need a report right away. very unprofessional this company do not keep their words. # times they showed up after hours at my place the 3rd time i advised them that there was no one home all day and its now time for the kids to get home, they will need to eat and i just started cooking. the agent advised me that he will be coming the next day at 9 am or send someone else. i'm still waiting for the person its now 1pm. i have things to do now i'm afraid that if i leave the kids will walk in and poison themselves

I killed myself to to get this place as ready as I could. I know I have too much stuff and there were a couple inaccessible places that I knew I could touch up if they couldn't do it. When I got home they had powdered the beds and two dressers. All the exposed and accessible baseboards haven't been touched. I flipped up the couch as instructed. Not touched. Seems I did a lot of work for them to get paid for doing jack. I coulds have bought the powder for $20-$25 and done ten times the job they did. Not impressed at all. Sign me up for a bed bug license. Going down this list I can get tons of customers.
I called over a week ago to schedule an appointment in regards to some ants. My appointment window was supposed to be between 8-10am this morning, and when I called at 9:55 asking them where they were, the woman on the phone casually informed me that my appointment had been changed. After reading Google reviews while I was on hold, I discovered that apparently changing peoples’ appointments without their permission is a common occurrence for this company. I had purchased a 3 month contract, and when I asked for them to cancel that contract, I had to wait on hold for almost an hour and be transferred to 4 different people to do so. NEVER call Terminix!

Unfortunately I do not have the gentleman‘s name that came the last two times. He along with anyone else that has been sent has been professional and polite. They have taken the time to walk the property at home with me and go over any issues as well as explain what they are doing. I live in the country and used to get mice in the house regularly in the fall through the winter. Since I’ve been using their services pest activity has been down to zero. They will also come and take care of any wasp nests any time of the year. There are four visits a year but will come back as many times as necessary if you have any issues and call them. Thanks

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I scheduled service at the beginning of the year and had 3 visits. At which I was told that they would come back for any issues. Then I moved about 3 months later and was charged for a visit that I did not authorize. I called and was connected to main office. I was told that they were canceling the service and that I would be refunded the charged amount. This was on the 25th of June. He told me to call back at the beginning of july which I did just to get a full inbox so I couldn't leave a message. The second time I called I was able to leave a message. The third and final time I called him (Craig) it say they are only accepting certain calls. Basically I was blocked. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! Then I called customer service to find out the refund is still being investigated. FOR IVER A MONTH!!! All this company does is give people the run around. I plan on taking to every social media platform I can think of and put all these crooks on blast. They are a scam do not give them your busines!!!!!
So far, terrible service. I have been billed twice for one day on my credit card. Called Customer Service to fix the problem and I've been on hold for nearly 30 minutes. I am only aware of them coming once in early July and there has been ZERO difference to the amount of pests in my yard. I will definitely go with a local company next time and in the meantime I will be contacting my bank to block any continued payments.

The technician always calls just before he/she arrives, then asks if there is any particular problem that needs to be addressed before application. They do a very thorough job and always thank me before leaving. We have not had any problems with pests since starting the service several years ago.

A general pest control service was scheduled for 1-5 PM. When nobody came by 5 pm, I called them repeatedly for hours. Every time I called, they assured me someone would be on their way soon. By 9 pm, nobody had shown up. The service reps then changed their story and said I had nothing scheduled for that day and asked me to reschedule for 2 weeks later. Completely unacceptable, terrible service.

Extremely unprofessional and have no consideration for client requirements. We were never informed before first service that we will have to vacate the house for 4 hours. Since the service could not be completed, they were supposed to schedule another visit which they didn't for over a month. When we called then to schedule a visit, everytime they would give us a morning time while we had categorically told them that we need the services in afternoon. Fed up with following up I asked them to cancel the contract. All the while no calls from their side. On top of everything they charged me $99 for cancellation when it's clearly a deficiency in service and they are not able to provide services as promised. I am approaching consumer forum for this cancellation charge of $99. Would advise everyone to stay away from them. They promise a lot but deliver nothing. We are still facing all the problems that we did earlier and we have paid them for one quarter.
UPDATING MY REVIEW: Terminix North Chicago I have a contract for annual prevention and quarterly treatment. I have been trying to get an appointment since July. It started out good and all of a sudden crickets. Poor customer service. Hard to get someone on the phone. Missed appointments with no follow-up on their end. The upfront cost was a bit expensive; If I had I been comfortable waiting, I would've shopped around. I was happy with my technician, he was patient, answered my questions, told me what he was doing as he was doing it and gave me direction and feedback on how to prevent the problem on my own in addition to the services that they'll be doing each quarter.

I'm still fighting to reach someone to get my money back after a month of complaining … no one has reached out. All they care about is money.

I began using Terminix Canada last June hoping they would be able to control a horrible exterior spider problem we experience every summer, common with living by the lake. I was amazed at how well it worked! Never, in 35 years, have our windows and property been so clear of webs and spider droppings throughout the summer. I use them regularly now. Their products work for a whole range of pests, and their technicians are knowledgeable, thorough and personable. I can't recommend them highly enough!
You scheduled your technician to be in our place between 9am to 1pm July 16, 2020. However, he came by around 8:16am supposedly to do the inspection and exterior re-treatment as he claimed on the note left on my entrance door. How come he came much earlier and FAILED TO COORDINATE with me? How would I know that the treatment done was properly & thoroughly made to address the issues I brought up on the 1st treatment last June 29 especially ants & spiders crawling outside the window sills & glasses? I’m so disappointed!!!!

If you thinking about using this company pls read the reviews, I wish I had done that. This company is the biggest scam and worst customer service, so save your money and stay as far away as possible. I signed up for the service after my neighbours told me they had seen mice around the house and they signed up for the service quarterly. The sale manager promised exceptional service and money back guarantee if we are not satisfied but I had to sign a one year contact. The very first visit they came did the outside spray and put some ant and mice baits around the house. I wanted the house sprayed for spiders and they Said they will do that next service. I waited until the next service and the person came to say it is wet outside and they will reschedule the spray. Checked the bait station was out of driveway in less than 4 mins and charged me full fees. I was told they will call me back but didn’t hear anything. After a month I called back to reschedule but I was told now I have wait until the next quarterly appointment. Next appointment I asked them to put the bait in the attic and they said they don’t do heights, I asked them to spray under the deck for wasps and they said they don’t go in closed spaces. But again I got charged for my quarterly inspection. This last time, I got automated message for an appointment and I picked the option to decline that date because I wanted to be home when they showed up. While I am work they show up walk up to the bait station in the back yard and leave within 5 mins from parking and leaving and charge me full fees. It is all recorded in my camera. I called customer service to ask why they showed up when I was not there they had no answer. Requested to speak with a supervisor but got told they will call me. Waited two weeks no answer. Called again and demanded to speak with manager was told they will call back. Waited 3 days and called back again got transferred to a voice mail no call back received. Called and demanded a refund was told they will send a message to the supervisor to call back again no answer. Made 7 attempts to speak with a supervisor over two months with negative results. This is worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company. I paid $600 and received 3 bait stations and two outdoor sprays with less than 40 mins labour total. This company is the biggest scam, so pls save your money and stay away from them. I have the read the replies from the company on other reviews saying call us and we can resolve this but as I said I have called and wasted enough of my time and nothing got resolved. I am still waiting for a phone call back. I live in Hamilton area, so if you were thinking about using this company, reconsider your options.

I was concerned they wouldn't understand each other because the language barrier but was happy to get home to my mom and him talking! So happy they have bilingual people. I am very satisfied of Terminix visit this morning, March 6, 2021. The inspection was thorough, inside and outside. Recommendations were made for next month,. Our Technician, Eddie, was very professionnal, helelpful and competent.
My absolutely favorite person is Kim Worley, who is personable, thorough, and very informative about her services. My experience with Terminix is excellent after the change in management these last few years.
When requested for exterior treatment technician claimed he done that, but I can still see ants near bushes, walkway and on driveway. How would I know that the treatment done was properly & thoroughly made to address the issues I brought up after the 1st treatment and no response. I can still see spiders in the basement after the treatment done. And they just show up at the door without notice. I asked to cancel my contract after 2 quarters, they transferred the call and was hung up. Technician showed up at door for the 3rd quarter, I rejected the service and still RECEIVED ANOTHER INVOICE. I’m so disappointed!!!!

The sprayers are nice and competent. The management is rude, authoritarian, unreasonable and lacking in knowledge and common sense. I really felt like I was being invaded by soldiers. The people who actually do the work are great. The managers need to learn some sympathy for victims. For bedbugs inherited in the apartment, I was blamed, worked like a dog and forced to pay fifty dollars for laundry. Do these people not realize the stress that creates in a persons life. I worked for fifty hours, so that Magic could be in and out in fifteen minutes. Bed bugs are a plague and not my fault.
My spouse set an appt for 5/20 for Terminix with a Mitchell to have a tech come out and do a VA bug inspection, the tech never showed. Called last night to find out why and was constantly placed on hold. Called today and spoke with an April and was told that they were coming tonight 5/21 between 5-7 pm. Tech no show, spoke with a LaTisha? and Adam who told us the manager who is named Wesley was trying to find the tech who is Daniel and why he has no showed, and that the manager Wesley would call. Its now 7:50 pm, no tech, no call from the manager. I guess this is what they call good customer service. It's odd that the mortgage lender recommended them, I won't..ever.
As always, great service from the technicians. The product works great too. I changed to Terminix when another pest control firm’s product just wasn’t being effective. Mice under control now and haven’t been an issue.

If I could put no stars I would. The technician was nice. The people in their offices are horrible, Sophia particular! I had done a course (2 treatments) and was told that 15 days after the second treatment someone would come to inspect and see if the extermination was successful. That didn't happen. I found a bug after the second treatment (around 18-20 days after) and called them to inquire about why they hadn't checked it. Their recommendation was to give me an alternative treatment and to have them inspect my neighbours homes. When I asked about why they hadn't come Sophia said because there was poor communication between management and her technician and STILL thought it was fair to charge me for a second treatment and inspection. I have much more negative things to mention but since I don't get paid I will leave it at that. Suffice it to say that this is probably the last company you would want to have responsible for eliminating your pest issues. They have 0 accountability and are happy to hang up on your face after giving you some outrageous excuse for why they didn't do their job properly. At best they are incompetent at worst they knew what they were doing and were trying to charge me for more services.
WOW, 1.4 among 44 reviews! If only I saw it before! Someone from “Magic Pestcontrol” the “ residential service” division of Terminix knocked my door just a few days after moving to my new house. They told me the area had quite a lot pests and need to have control otherwise my house would be “bothered”. I trusted them and signed the “contract”. It was a short talk and I couldn’t read carefully all the Ts & Cs. After the first service, I found the effect was very limited and actually I learned from neighbors that we don’t have much pests issues. I didn’t allow them to come anymore, however they kept withdrawing “payment” from my account without my authorization and didn’t notify me until I received the bank statement. I contacted them and was shown that so called “Contract” that I have to pay one more time service even if I cancel the contract. This kind of terms are not legal. Their behaviour makes no difference as a robbery. Stay away from this company and never ever give them your bank information.
We have been real happy with Terminix - if we have a problem they come out right away and resolve the problem

Very poor costumer service and they use a lot of sales tactic on the most vulnerables. Don't sign any paperwork with them unless you carefully read the contract. Such a corrupt company and huge waste. STAY AWAY
Our technician, Johnathan Edwards, does an excellent job. He is the main reason that we stay with Terminix. He know our house, he knows our pests. He is always pleasant and explains what he is doing. Our house is, for all intensive purposes, pest free. It is important that you get a technician that you can trust and that you have confidence in because the technician knows your house, knows your attendance patterns, etc.
After three service visits from Terminix we are happy to recommend this company. The first and third experiences were superlative. Anand took great care to explain and reassure us while providing efficient and thorough service. The second service was not carried out by Anand and was very poor. The office was respectful and took our complaint seriously.

Exterminator said they'd be out every 2 weeks for 6 months. Showed up once and stopped coming. We called and they said they'd send another out. That exterminator showed up once and stopped coming as well. They refuse to give us a refund despite multiple calls. The most they will do is try to reschedule but that obviously does not work. Total scam. Terribly unprofessional. Do not waste your money on this. We're out $2000 on an exterminator that has shown up 2 times in the span of 2 months despite multiple calls about it.
I had Eddie came to service our home very professional and thoroughly. He explained , removed spider webs , replaced all bait boxes and sprayed both inside and outside our home. Great service and the best candidate so far. Thank you Eddie (not sure the spelling is right). I always got great phone call through customer service.
Update: One of the manager's (Derek) called to apologize that we were overcharged and provided a partial refund. He said first vent is $165, the subsequent ones are not. I'm happy that the company tried to make things right but I would recommended that if you go with this company ensure they do not send you the technician named Adam. I increased the rating to 3 stars but you can see my original review below which is more a reflection of Adam's poor service than the company overall. Do not go with this company for pest or wildlife control. Gouged on removal of birds from vents. First they say $125 to send technician, cost for removal will be $165+ and the cost to send the tech would be waived if we go ahead with the work to be done. Tech arrived and quoted $165 per vent including vent guard and we have three vents. So he was told install only for 2 vents and we could do ground floor vent on our own. Then he said said ok and brought the bill back for 2 vents plus $175 ladder fee. When asked why he charged that fee without discussing it, he said because you didn't do all three vents. He ended up taking out the ladder fee and instead charging for 3 vents, but he did not actually do the 3rd vent! He just left the vent guard here in the house. He had terrible customer service. Recommend Abell or Orkin instead.
I had quite the build up of ants and spiders in the basement and Terminix came and took care of everything. They also explained to me what they were doing as they were doing it. They also had an eco friendly option which we loved!

my building (NON TCHC or subsidized) contracts these guys. They supposedly bombed my new unit for roaches, but didnt work in the least. 2-3 weeks later and still an issue. with all the poor reviews im shocked they remain in business. god forbid I end up with a worse infestation (bed bug), I would be screwed. Stay far away from these guys. Hoping they end up out of business

This is very long but very worth it please do yourself a favor and read this. I called Terminix January 10th. My next billing cycle would be April 10th. On the phone I was asked to pay the $190 fee for the 3 months. I thought it was a bit pricey but after asking very specific questions they assured me I could get a technician to come out to my house any time I needed within those 3 months for no extra cost and no service fee. Then I thought okay, that’s not too bad for everything it accounts for. I got my first service a couple days later, the man came out sprayed outside and inside the house and was gone. I was very pleased with how nice he was and informative he was. Flash forward to March 26-28th I call again FOR MY FREE SERVICE, someone comes out and sprays the outside of my house. DOESN'T EVEN COME INSIDE and spray like the first guy did. I thought no big deal, I’ll let it slide. Until I saw a charge on my account for $130. I called them to see what the deal was. The lady I spoke with was very nice and assured me that I was told wrong and that she was going to look into this for me. She passed our phone call on to the supervisor or director of services and communications. He changed his story and said that I was told right and that I could get as many services done to my house that I needed without charge for those 3 months ONLY if I would have called sooner. His exact words were “You could have got those free services if you would have called a few weeks later after your first service but since You’re within 7 days of your next bill due that the payment was moved up.” So they just went ahead and charged me and renewed my account?? How is this okay? How are they going to make my decisions for me? And here’s the kicker. It was March 26-28th when I called. March 29th the technician came to my house. As I stated in the beginning my next Bill due date was April 10th. NO WHERE CLOSE TO 7 days within the Next billing date in April. It was more like 10or 11 days. When I told the man this information, that my next due date was April 10th his direct response was “Oh well actually it is within 7 days of the billing month, not the billing due date.” I’m not usually one to do this but I feel a big scheme going on here and I do not appreciate being directly lied too. I wish I would have recorded the call because I would take them to court. Not about my $130 in the end it’s not that much money for 1 person BUT for how many people they do this too and get away with it I’m sure they make a pretty good profit from it. because they change their story to match how everything happens. And in case your wondering, no I did not receive a refund and when asked about receiving emails and confirmations they had my email wrong on file. They had it as Tamara, instead of Samara. WHICH I TOLD THEM TO CHANGE THE FIRST TIME I CALLED AND THE SECOND TIME I CALLED, they did not send me anything because they knew exactly that I could refer to my contract and see that they were lying. Horrible. Update: I called, they now have my email address correct on file. I asked for copies of my contract I agree too. They said they could not complete that on their end and that I had to do it on my end by logging onto my account on their webpage. So I did. And it says “unfortunately service history documents are not currently available, we apologize for the inconvenience.” And will not allow me to access any of my information on which I agreed too, so that I may see where it states they can re-new my account on their own or move up the billing date or whatever they did to charge me. They told me a branch executive will reach out to me within 24-48 hours, but based by the reviews it doesn’t look like that will be happening as many people don’t get a returned phone call. I am absolutely disgusted at the owners, the management and the money scheme in this business. I WILL be going to an attorney.

I have pest control and exclusion maintenance contracts with Terminix. I am very satisfied with the service that is afforded. Ramil, in particular, has been very helpful regarding making appointments that accommodate my crazy schedule! Any time I have a problem, Terminix is out to inspect and remedy the problem. I am very happy with this service.
The salesman was worse than a used car dealer, he tried to sell me loads of options I told him I was not interested in. The pricing was by far 50% over market value, even after going back and forth and almost kicking him out. I should have just gone with another company. Very disappointed with them and will never use them again, please share this with anyone interested in their service.

I would give 0 stars if it allowed it. Total scam. Aggressive and pushy sales guy (had to tell him to get off my property) knocked on my door to say that my neighbours in area are all having Terminix spray for a neighbourhood wide insect problem and that I could be missing out...Really? This is the first I’m hearing about it. Believe me if my house had an insect problem I WOULD KNOW ABOUT. This is the most lamest sales tactic to use and completely ruins a companies reputation. Should I ever have an insect problem I will be sure NOT to call Terminix.
Regular service from Terminix has helped minimize to a great extent bugs and pests around our house. We know we can call Terminix for any unwanted activity by pests. Freddie M. George who regularly services our house is very courteous and responds to our calls and takes care of problems.

I’ll admit I was skeptical when a young sales rep came to our door saying they could get rid of our terrible wasp problem. However, to my surprise they were able to drastically reduce them within a week of coming out for our initial treatment. I had them come out again for one of the free call backs they offer as part of their warranty, and now they’re basically completely gone. I’m impressed!
I have been using Terminix service for the past year. They respond and help quickly. Two of their best technicians are Kushal and David that I personally was very happy with out of the five that I had seen so far.

The absolute worse service I have ever experienced. I would give them less stars if I could. No response from customer service after 3 e-mails. Cancelled my subscription and was still charged. Can't get a hold of them. Was promised a free follow up service. Was told a follow up inspection would be in a few days. Never got back to me, and had to message them again. They waited months to do a "follow up" only to charge me for a whole new season. This place is a scam and I will be calling my credit company to fight this over charge.
Not the first time...the technician didn't show up during the scheduled window. We got through 2 days later and they want to reschedule for next week. We specifically scheduled for this week. Not even a bit of remorse on their end or an effort to make things good. They acknowledge that their tech didn't show up as scheduled low service standard.
We paid our money right away. Over 2000 dollars. To treat bed bugs. Was promised they would be out to treat our house every 2 weeks for 6 months. When they came the 1st time, was very late in the day. We were previously told we would have to stay out of the house for 2 hours after the spray. He informed us it was 4 hours when he got there. He left his mask in my room dirty on my stuff. After that it was over a month till they came back. After we had to call them. He came. Then left to do another job. Then came back. Did our spray. It's been well over a month they havent been back. We have tried to talk to them. Get a refund. Was told we could get one. Had to transfer us. Then the other person who was supposed to get us one said they dont refund for bed bugs. Curiously it seems just bed bugs they dont refund. We threatened to sue. He wanted to work things out. But he said he couldnt talk at the moment. Promised to get in touch with us. Has not. We tried to call back. Still nothing. Posting this hoping for someone to see this. Horrible, horrible, horrible service. Not even one star

Poor Service. Claim to solve your bug issues but have no technology or tools to actually come through. Silverfish issue unresolved after 2 years of treatment. Then try to up sell you on additional services when they have no idea how to even address the problem. Shame on you Terminex!

The technician was very flexible in waiting for me to get home for my appointment since I was detained. Once inside, he investigated thoroughly and was able to actually see signs of activity, which helped him diagnose the problem and come up with a plan. No signs of activity since he was here.
Technician arrived on time and promptly removed the yellow jacket hive. Instructed me to observe for any activity around the nest and call back if any, on the 2nd or 3rd day. Cleaned up and took away most of the dead insects. But I had to do a more thorough clean up and I have to use a pressure washer to clean up the remanents from under the eaves trough. I would have appreciated them doing the complete job.
COMPLETE SCAM of a business. DO NOT USE THEM OR SIGN ANYTHING AT ALL!!! After getting the initial pest control treatment, we find out that we are under a recurring contract with a penalty to stop it. We were never informed and would have never signed any such contract. Complete misrepresentation - JUST A COMPLETE FRAUD from beginning to end. Save your money and use a reputable companies and there are plenty of them out there that are honest and do a great job. Just not this one!!! From the reviews its obvious that they involve collection companies to back up their fraudulent contracts. Extremely upset that a company like this is allowed to operate - they simply take advantage of people. If you company wants to make it right and cancel the contract without the penalty which you know is totally wrong, please contact us and we will adjust our review accordingly.
One day the sales person of Terminix came to my door and explained about their services and promotions. I've signed a papers for a annual service( each quarter) The tech came for service and finished the job within a few minutes; just sprayed! I've shocked, this was not my expectation. I called the company and requested to cancel but they didn't accept. They said they will make better service next time. During the second service I was not at home, so I didn't see what they did. The tech came for the third service and exactly did same as first one, so I shocked again! I called to Terminix several time for the cancellation; finally they accepted and sent me a confirmation for the last service. However, still I'm receiving every month a statement showing that I'm owing $157.19. I've sent an email several time but no result; they don't understand! So, in order to get rid of Terminix from my life, today I'm paying this amount which I didn't get a service! DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY. DON'T SIGN ANY PAPER. THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE!

This company lacks integrity and at this point I wonder if they actually have employees. In 2019 and 2020, there were significant problems with ants and lack of service. we thought the problems were solved until this year when they have failed to show up altogether. we have called, emailed, and called again since April about ants and wasps. June 30th we were scheduled to have service between 1-5 and the DID NOT SHOW UP OR CONTACT US AGAIN.
Spoke to Vibha to schedule my properties clear out. She was very responsive and helpful in every way when I didn't know what the best treatment would be. My two properties were attended to immediately and we haven't had any pest issues since. Highly recommend Terminix
They came to our unit for bedbugs termination as a contractor of our landlord. After two treatments we were still having the problem despite doing all the preparations. Third treatment was due but they never came for that and we are managing it ourselves. I don't recommend them.

He also reminded me that should I find evidence of pests between regular servicing, that I could call and someone from Terminix would come at no cost to fix the problem.

Not only did he perform the regular service, he identified a large wasp nest above our front door and took care of it quickly and quietly. I had been pretty disappointed with the Terminix service to the point where I was about to cancel. There have been missed appointments and the technician they had previously sent to my home weren't really motivated. Thankfully Eddie was assigned to my home for this service. I talked to jake and he was very knowledgeable and he had sent us a technician to help with our problem very quickly. We havent seen anything since. I'll call them again if anything comes up in my basement or something but I'm glad I dont have a bug problem in the kitchen anymore!

Unfortunately we trusted them when they said we had a pest. It turns out that pest doesn’t live in the northern states, so they mislead us and overcharged us thousands of dollars with no real help. The techs recanted and said the initial information we were given was false. We were also disappointed in their techs, because they’d show up without any prior knowledge of our situation. They were without a manager and we were ignored for about 2 1/2 months. They promised to bring in a specialist, but that never happened either. After the new manager contacted us he said he’d call back the next day to schedule a tech. He didn’t call for two weeks. They dropped the ball multiple times and we’ve lost confidence in their company. Now they refuse to refund any money even though they mislead us from the start. I wouldn’t recommend using them for any service. The problems run deep at this company.

Be careful of this company. A sales rep came to my door to sell me a one time service with a re-check in 90 days. They did this and it did not completely eradicate the ants . Now it is winter and they claim they come back through the winter to service. No ants right now!!! Each service call is 145.00 and they come every three months. I didn't sign on on to this, they tell me I did. I specifically was told this was a one time deal. So when I phone the company, they tell me if I want to cancel, I have to pay 130.00 cancellation fee. When you give them your card number, you are signing a 1 year contract and not made aware of this. This company has answered with generic responses to every negative experience posted here. When your sales person came to the door...he did not explain that I had to pay for visits every three months. I thought I was getting a one time service, then a re-check in 3 months and if problem was not eradicated, then you resprayed without cost. This company is not straight up and their responses reflect that. Company tells people to call to fix but when you do, you are told you signed a contract to pay every 3 months. I am sorry, but why would anybody have their outside sprayed when there is snow all around. Also they bill you saying they were here but the homeowner has no proof they ever come. I am home most all of the time and have never seen them when they say they came. My guess is that they bill for 150.00 for nothing. There is no reason to be spraying the outside for ants in the middle of winter. I have no problems inside my house and therefore did not request or receive that part of their service. I only asked for the outside of the house to be done. Company is scamming people here , charging for something they are not providing. What kind of a company operates this way? If this company is truly serious about helping people, they would not be charging a cancellation fee of 150.00 for a year long service that you were not made aware about. I was sold a one time service with a re-check. The fact that they need to operate in this manner speaks volumes about the kind of company they have become.
My place was overrun by cockroaches. I called Terminix they came out and done their Job and now I haven't seen one for a minute well maybe 1 here or there. I literally feels good to go to the kitchen and a roach rob ya for you and friends. Thank you Terminix

Terrible company. Called several times just trying to make an appointment. The person answering the call kept saying someone will call me back. But no one called back. The tools they placed to prevent rats didn't work. Rats still came. Terrible attitude, poor work. Avoid this thing.

Please do not hire this company! They scammed my parents out of their hard earned money and the corruption goes all the way to the top. Just look up their Better Business Bureau rating! I only hope this review helps someone else from being taken advantage of as well!
Adam from the Greater Toronto office arrived and did a great job making and installing 2 one-way doors over our bathroom stack vents to alleviate our red squirrel problem. We are very happy with the service and the cost also and it has given us peace of mind. We left a message on their answering machine on the weekend and they called us first thing Monday morning and before the day was over our problem was solved. Ridiculous Customer Service!! I have been a customer for more than 5 years & if they can treat me this way, wonder what they do to the new customers??? FYI, I pay $109.00 quarterly. I called in for an additional service (which is supposed to be free between your scheduled quarterly service). No one showed up the first time. Without any call or message. I scheduled a second time, someone called to say the tech was sick & can't come & will come on a Monday, that Monday never happened. I called again, the rep said a branch manager will call me. The branch manager left me a msg., I called back & he never called again!! Finally I called the 800 number & asked to make a complaint. The rep on the other side showed a lot of concern & said was sorry. Scheduled another additional service for Friday 10/09/15 & offered a $20.00 discount (Oh wow!). This is the best part...Thursday evening a rep named Rocky calls met say a service has been scheduled for my house & since it is already time for my regular service he will charge me the quarterly fee! I told him, I don't want a regular service until I have talked to the branch manager. We talked for about 5 minutes, Rocky insisted on charging me even though I kept saying that is between me & the branch manager to decide. Ultimately, when I told him, I don't want him to come if he is insisting on a regular service & he hung up saying, yes, that is fine for him. This is the worst customer service I have experienced from Terminix & if this is just the branch that is acting as such then too bad for the company as it is harming their reputation. EVEN ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH FOR THEM! THEY DON'T CARE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Both technicians we have had have provided excellent service. Each has taken the time to discuss any issues we have or concerns we have with pests we may have encountered between visits. Both were very personable and polite. We are always informed when they will arrive and when they have completed their work.
Fantastic company! The employee that came to my home was super nice and really knowledgable about wild life. The price was cheaper than anywhere else I called. We had a very large racoon living in our attic, they set up a door that would allow the racoon to get out but not back in. She also set up a squirrel door just in case we had squirrels as well. Once we knew the racoon was out, she came back, took down the racoon door and fixed the hole into the attic! Well worth the money!! 100% recommend Terminix Canada :)
Book them they won’t show up .. 3/5 times ( yes booked them 5 times they only showed up 2 times) I asked to speak to a supervisor and got told “there aren’t any”. Asked to have them call me got THE MOST attitude. Then asked for her name out me on HOLD THEN TRANSFERRED ME to a Lisa who again wouldn’t tell me who I was speaking to and said “ I don’t know it’s a big office”. Great customer service guys.
Contractors beware!!! My company performed electrical services for Mike Donaldson at the Streamwood, IL Terminix location. Mike Donaldson signed a contract knowing the payment terms ahead of time. He assured me and promised that payment would be made within a few days after the job was completed. It's been over 2 months and he still hasn't paid the invoice. If that weren't enough, he ignores my calls, texts and emails. He doesn't answer the phone and won't respond to voicemail messages. The only reason for this review is to warn any other contractors and service providers to stay away from Terminix and Mike Donaldson. You will end up being lied to and ripped off as I was.

Ramil Kalia was just terrific. He was thorough and explained everything. As a result of him showing me pictures and explaining them of our two attic spaces, the lack of insulation and evidence of mice, we agreed to have Terminix give us an estimate. Jim Simpson came out and did a very good job of explaining what would be done and the cost. As a result we have agreed to have the work done.
Terminix gets the job done. We had a real infestation of centipedes and within a few months they are gone. We had another company for a couple of years previous to Terminix and were left unsatisfied.
Solid company.. took a while for them to come back out for a free call back, that would be my only complaint.. However to be fair; it is their peak time of the season and they were slammed. Once they were able to come back out, my issue was promptly resolved.
Had William come last Thursday. Very knowledgeable and nice to answer all our questions. Good job done!
We had a raccoon chew a hole in our roof recently so we called Terminix and the next day they sent a technician over to take a look. The technician we dealt with was Eden and she was very professional and knew exactly what to do. In the end she got rid of the raccoons & patched up the hole in the roof and all is good! I would definitely recommend Terminix for any kind of critter or pest problem. Thanks Terminix & Eden!

Cockroaches
Awful! Our building has roaches ... and they are disgusting I finally had it with killing them and had the management call the exterminator which ofcourse is 'magical'. Terrible. Spent two days preparing for this so called treatment. It's a ton of work. Not to mention I had to find a place to send my cat. Came home and looked like nothing had been touched except a table which I specifically asked to be sprayed with a note. After putting everything back and feeling good for a few hours that we were bug free... we saw roaches that night! And still continue to see them. This place is useless whether they actually spray or not. But I guess it makes sense.. why would a pest control company want to get rid of the pests making them all this money. If anyone knows what works to kill roaches PLEASE let me know :(

In one year of my contract with them they were not able to exterminate ants around the house; after 4 quarterly outside treatments, the infestation level was exactly the same as before and ants were regularly entering the house. On the other hand, they managed to charge me twice for the last quarterly treatment.
Technicians are always so polite, and so patient because I’m not always hanging on to my phone even tho I know they’re coming. And once our “puppy”, who at 55 pounds and a fearsome bark got out to make “friends” with a tech who was not interested in being friends with her, lol, but was super polite and knew just what to do to get her to lose interest (pay no attention). It took me a while to corral her but he still waited and did our service even tho I would have fully understood if he said he had to leave. We have had zero, zero(!) ant invasions since they started and the mice population seems pretty low in our garage too. I have had nothing but polite, positive interactions with their techs, even today when I missed the call and it took me a while to notice his truck! I would recommend to anyone.

The customer service at Terminix exceeded my expectations. I expected someone to come to my house, spray all over, lay down mice traps and that would be that. Wrong! The gentleman explained what he was doing every step of the way, being mindful of my two toy poodles, and spent as much time outside of the house and in my crawl space under the house as he did inside the house. Excellent job! I have a contract with Terminix to help me keep these little uninvited guests out of my house for good by treating quarterly.....and if I see any droppings anywhere, all I have to do is call them to report the problem and they will come back out to my house free of charge. Now that's a company well deserved of its excellent reputation!
Shocking service. Avoid at all costs. Got sold by a fast talking door-to-door salesman who offered a discount "because was in the area", which turned out to be a blatant lie. Full of broken promises and let-downs from beginning to end. They were never in the area to actually perform the promised services, over the course of 2 months they missed 3 appointments, turned up unannounced, and sprayed for ants once which had zero affect. We eventually gave up, they refunded us 80% of our payment and we used a local company who cost half the price and solved the problem within 2 days. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Very dependable. If I ever have a problem they come right out. There is never an additional charge. I don't have the bug problems that I hear my neighbors talking about. They always let me know when they are coming. They try very hard to accommodate my schedule. The associates are always super nice and friendly and a pleasure to work with.

I have been working with Terminix for a while now and they are always great. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The work is always completed on time and correctly.
Service performed at my home didnt work. When i emailed to have someone look into perhaps sending some back out to inspect and was told that I didnt purchase a warranty. Spoke to a gentleman and he told me he remembered telling me this a mth and a half ago because he remembers all his conversations and all calls were recorded. Asked to pull the call and was told he would have his manager review and get back to me. I would NOT recommend this place. They will take your money and not provide the service they advertise. Would give a zero if it was an option. Poor customer service!!!!!

They rescued me from a huge problem with wasps on my deck. I was not with them for regular service, yet they fit me in and the technician explained to me the issue with immediate treatment. I chose to wait until the next week, and the tech came out and treated the area and not a wasp in sight. I cancelled my other pest control service and will be with Terminix from now on!!
He comes when he says, I like that. Beyond no bugs, I expect that, he brings a big dustmop and wipes off dust and spider webs that have collected since his last visit.

We had them service our house for two years and they did an OK job. We called to cancel them since we were moving. We then get a bill for $85, we call to talk to them about it and they said they left us a message they were coming. The funny thing is we got a new telephone number so the old number was canceled two months before the service. We called them again and they said there was nothing they can do, we now get a call everyday from a collection company. I can't understand their reasoning but I give up and will never pay them.

I have been dealing with Linda for the past 4 years at Terminix and she has been nothing short of professional with all my concerns and requests. I work for a very busy corporation and we have very demanding tenants, and everytime i needed a special request accomodated, she has always been there. If a request could not be completed, she has always offered alternative solutions. Great customer service and very pleasant and funny to deal with. Keep up the great work.
I am a Residential customer living in Mississauga. I have centipedes and silverfish problem for years. On guy from Terminix came last week and he has solved my problems on consistent basis by means of not only providing on spot treatment but he also recommended long term measures to control centipedes problem. My wife is really scared of too many legs bugs. Mueen has done dusting treatment into cracks and he has recommended me to install 2 dehumidifier units as my basement is very huge. Since that day i have not seen any LIVE one, only few dead ones and thats it. Mueen is very professional and highly knowledgeable educated pest management Professional. I highly recommend Terminix Canada and Mueen for my any future pest issues.

Had a little ant issue inside and outside. Got rid of it on first treatment. In addition, took care of my wasps making there nest near my roof. Was shocked that it was so cheap and they come as many times as u want throughout the year. Very pleased

So timely and responsive, knowledgeable and positive. We first signed up with a ‘door knocking’ small outfit type of exterminator. When they said they had no availability for the foreseeable future to get wasps out of our daughters room, we fired them (had to pay $150 to get out of their dumb contact)- and hired Terminex. They were out next day. Kim is amazing. Terminated the wasps and ants. Customer for life.
Never use this service! You CANNOT get out of the contract even if they do not resolve the problem. Do not sign anything, ever! I am a dissatisfied customer. Very disappointed that they cannot get rid of ants without spraying toxic chemicals inside my home.

Mr. Mason called beforehand to setup an appointment. He asked if I was seeing any pest in the house or in general. He was professional and courteous as he always is. Mr. Mason is an excellent representative for the face-to-face communication for the company as he is knowledgeable, makes the customer feel at ease and he listens to the customer. He is polite and he didn’t mind the foot of snow around the house. As the customer, I was concerned for him being out in that much snow but he didn’t have an issue with it. He explained to me they have to spray every quarter or they would have to restart the process as the pest may return if the service is not maintained quarterly which makes sense. Excellent service as always!

We had an outbreak in our building which started with our neighbour directly beside us. These guys have apparently sprayed our apartment over 4 times and there are still live bugs. I had to remove myself and my family from our home because I get an allergic reaction to the bites. I was covered from head to foot in swollen red bites 2 weeks before my wedding. I ended up having all of these marks on my wedding day as they take over a month to completely heal. Now my building management company has started an investigation which has prolonged this whole process because they can't do two things at once. I would never suggest this company to anyone and would strongly recommended that if you are in a similar situation that when you hear this business name you immediately demand a new company.
(Treatment was ordered for us by management) The first time a technician came over, he said that all shelves must be cleared and we were not aware of this as we did not receive any details prior to the appointment. We ended up having another appointment booked for a week later - today. A technician was supposed to come in between the hours of 11 AM - 3 PM. It was already past 3 so I called the number listed above. I did not provide an address whatsoever and the lady I spoke to around 3:23PM said that our technician is probably running late. I hung up and waited a bit longer in hopes that she was right. It was past 4 and I called again at 4:25. I think it was the same lady and this time, I told her my address. Again, she said the technician is probably running late. It seemed after "looking" up my address, she saw that treatment was already done. I told her no one came in today and in the end, she said that she can't do anything about it and to call our management (which I already did beforehand and they said to call Terminix). My husband and I have been waiting to receive treatment longer than we have to and our situation with cockroaches is only getting worse. My 1 star review is to reflect the experience I received from customer service. It's subject to change after I get the actual treatment.

Jason is very courteous and takes the time to explain what he is doing. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. This is my second application but after the first application, I only found dead flying ants which was my main concern. I am very sensitive to airborne chemicals but the chemicals used inside my home do not affect my asthma or allergies.

This is the first time during our contract that I feel that I received proper service. The technician asked about current concerns and pointed out some potential problem areas. He also eliminated a hornet nest that we were unaware of. I would have said in the past that this company's service overpriced for what was received. However, based on today I would change my mind. I guess it depends on who they send out.
I called with questions about bed bugs and the rep named Linda helped me and eased my concerns. She explained everything from the nature of the pest to the services offered. She eased my concerns and was very patient knowledgeable and friendly. Will be calling back for service!!
I strongly advise people not to use this company. After booking an appointment to have my home sprayed for roaches two weeks prior, I was told they would arrive between 11am-2pm. By 2:30pm they had still not arrived. I called and they told me their system was down and they could not contact the technician. 10 minutes later, the technician called and said he would be there between 3:30pm-4:00pm. He finally arrived at 4:30. Just as we were about to leave he told me that we would have to be out of the home for 24 hours because I am pregnant. This is something I had told the company when I booked two weeks prior, and asked how long my husband I would need to be out of the home, they said 6 hours. So here we are, having waited all day for their worker to arrive, spend hours clearing out all of our cubboards and moving furniture, to then find out we need to vacate for 24 hours instead of the 6 hours we were originally told. We had no choice but to cancel as we were in no position to leave our home for 24 hours, with no overnight arrangements made as well as prior obligations that required us to be home the following morning. This whole ordeal caused a lot of time and effort as well as stress over waiting all day and having to do all that prep work for nothing. This company is unprofessional and unreliable, I strongly recommend not using them.

They didnt do in depth spray like I was promised initially. They returned a few days ago with only notice a text saying they were on the way. I texted back dont come, I'm working, we did not agree on this day. They didnt cone inside at all but I was charged full price and no one was available to make sure they sprayed this time
WARNING: Be very careful before using this provider for exclusion services. They took a $2,600 deposit for a three year exclusion contract. They mis-diagnosed the problem as mice. Their exclusion Team was not competent. I had to fire them after one week of service for failing to address my problem. They retained my entire deposit and would not return it, despite promising 100% satisfaction. I hired a small business provider of exclusion services. That provider diagnosed the problem as squirrels OVER THE PHONE. This provider found where the squirrels entered my home after being on my property for less than 5 minutes. They trapped 4 squirrels in less than one week. Terminix has now cancelled my service and refuses to return any of my money. Trust me on this one - DO NOT HIRE THEM. You will save yourself a lot of aggravation by hiring someone else.

Terminix makes it easy to use their business above others. They are efficient, easy, and professional. We have enjoyed all their technicians, but we were happy to learn our newest tech is local and friendly. We chatted a bit and it felt like he really cares about his profession and he makes us a priority. We have been using Terminix for over a year and it has been easy and enjoyable.
Paul was a very good representative. Knowledgable and professional. I believe he was very honest with me. He told me why I had mice and what needed to be done to get rid of them. It worked. After we removed the insulation they apparently love to live and breed in, my mouse issues were gone. Thank you Paul and thank you Terminix. And Terminix is priced very reasonably and worth every single cent! I would recommend to anyone.
Horrible horrible horrible service... i was scheduled for an appointment today for a serious case of roaches and first off it was very hard to even talk to the sales associate, i have never been put on hold more times in my life. They would constantly disconnect the call and didn't help with any information at all that i asked.... I asked several times about my pets and reptiles and if i need to remove them for my house and they said they would get back to me but never did. After calling them about 20 times today... they scheduled me for an appointment between 3-5. it is now 7 pm and i haven't been able to get a hold of them at all, the continually kept saying the tech is running late, or they're at another job, or nearby so each response was pretty much just an excuse. Finally i gave up after waiting for a steady 6 hours for a no show. HORRIBLE SERVICE, worst i have ever had.
I do not recommend this company. It is sad to say it but my experience with this company has been only headaches. There is so much miscommunication. But one thing that they do not forget is to bill you for something that was not done. The work was very poor. I am very disappointed. I will encourage the company to begin training. I do not recommend it unless you one a headache.
Ahmand, a Service Technician with Terminix Canada, came on a scheduled visit today. He did an excellent job and was very detailed. Since we started using Terminix they have done an excellent job of controlling pests in our home.

Terrible, terrible service. It does nothing. Never had an ant problem until used it. Requested they come at a different time and they don't. Tried to cancel and couldn't. I think it is a total scam. Do not use!

Their services are fine, the technicians are in fact very knowledgable and often a pleasure to deal with. However their administrative and business practises are a hard 1. My mother initially signed up with Terminix for a season, but they told her it would be for 1 year and 1 year ONLY. English is not her first language, but she can understand and speak perfectly fine to get by, even with transactions such as this. Well on the fine print, it says that the terms will be 1 year + 1 more billing cycle aka 3 month term. We wouldn't have had a problem if they disclosed it. They explicitly said 1 year only. Okay, so disclose that to the customer next time. Unfortunately I wasn't there to read the relatively short contract over at first. As a business owner this is incredible scummy practice. Won't ever be using them and will warn others for this fact alone.
It has been pleasure to work with Terminix and especially with Azeem. Always when I call for help, I know that will receive the best of the best. Very professional guy with lots of knowledge. I don't even know where to begin.?Terminix has come several times to my home, sprayed inside and out and nothing has improved. I still find ants, flies, mosquitoes and spiders. I have spider webs forming everywhere on the exterior of my home. When I've made appointments and have had to re schedule(in advance) I have had workmen still show up at my home, even though I was told and guaranteed the appointments were re booked. They lack MAJOR communication between head offices and their workers on the road. Just an example of a daddy long leg whose been at my front door all day long. Oh and it seems every person they do have show up at your home on the wrong appointment day doesn't speak English even though they are aware it's an English speaking residence.

Overall a very professional organization. I had contacted two other exterminators who never responded to my request. Terminix responded within 24 hours the technician was very helpful and even provided his phone number so that I could text him if the problem persisted. The good news is I no longer have a wasp issue

The exclusion service is a scam. Months of phone calls and no shows. Countless hours of missed work waiting for them to complete work they barely started. Reporting them to the BBB, Fair Trade Commission and WV Attorney General.
Signed a six hundred dollar contract. We were told that they would do an an ant treatment and a spider treatment. They did a 5 minute ant treatment set up two traps and left. We have now spoke with their sales person 10 times who keeps on promising they would come back for the souder and wasp treatments but they have not. Big company no customer focus at all.
Eden was very professional and helpful. She was empathetic and reassuring, and gave great advice on how to prevent the den in my front yard being lived in again. She went the extra mile!

I was very pleased with Eddie's work. He was very informative about what he was doing and how he was selecting the locations for the bait traps. He had great suggestions about what I could do to augment the Terminix treatments. He was very professional and the first time he was here was so patient with my pesky dog! Initially I also had some minor issues with the administrative aspect of the company but it has improved.

Pest control wise - company was great and solved our problem! Customer service wise - Lisa our customer service scheduler was fantastic and a pleasure to deal with. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and gave us the piece of mind to book the service and go with this company. On to the day of service - we had a horrible technician who was rude and belligerent on the phone. A manager Neil Patel had to step in and corrected the situation. Apparently the technician was relieved from their job. Aside from the initial hiccup with a rogue employee, Terminix was great and we highly recommend.
The service technician was great , sales guy was a joke screwed up everything, terminix national is treating me like a deadbeat after making 925 dollar payment of a 1300 dollar bill that was supposed to be paid over time highly dissatisfied with the whole thing
I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They are professional, never miss their check ups and are thorough. Soodhi services our location and is very friendly, helpful and answers all of our questions.
We signed up with this company having made specific note with the sales team of the concerns we had (bee activity on the second floor roof) and were sold on a suite of services that they did not provide. When we approached the service tech to let him know that he had not completed the services as promised he stated that he was not able to perform the services. We called immediately to let the company know. Since then it has been a procession of calls and back and forth trying to get the service scheduled to complete what was promised. They are citing significant waits for an appointment although they took our money and never provided the service. We are very disappointed, currently waiting for a manager to call back tomorrow. Had we not been home we never would have known that they did not even come close to executing as promised). Terrible way to conduct business. EDIT Since this post the manager Rob contacted me. Rob was polite and empathetic and we cancelled our services without penalty (I increased my rating from 1 to 2 stars based on this interaction). Someone also followed up on this review. I hope they are able to correct the issues with communication and discrepancies in service provision. I can't speak to the efficacy of the product as we didn't get all of the services.
Great service. Very professional. Immensely appreciate all of their help in removing an odorous bird's nest from a very difficult to reach area. Cannot say enough in how much their difficult work is appreciated. I wish them the very very best always.
Had Terminix in to treat bedbugs. Tried to sell me more than I needed, which is understandable... who doesn't do that. Then the day of the service the guy was in and out in less than an hour and didn't seem to do a very good job. I may still have bed bugs and they were supposed to come out for a follow up visit, but when I called (after they didn't show) they had no record of a follow up appointment ever being made. It was clearly written on the receipt of my original bill however. Overall I would not recommend.
Great company! Friendly stafff and efficient workers!!!
They are happy to sell you a package and get your money. After that when you need to make an urgent appointment, they don't get back to you or just don't not show up. My dad had to do a lot of work himself; I should have paid him instead.

Technician Kusha arrived within the appointed time. He was very courteous and professional. He explained in detail what remedy he was going to use to treat my ant problem and how each component worked. He is obviously very knowledgeable about pest control. I highly recommend this company.

This is our first year with Terminix and truthfully,I have worked at commercial organizations that have used other companies. But now wish they had used Terminix. These people know what their business and Pests, and how to manage both. We have been very impressed with whoever has serviced the home.
Scheduling nightmare. Tech Whorley is an outstanding professional once she has your job. Having Tech Whorley on the regular does not happen.

We were so impressed with the service we received! Eden did a great job, and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently (even without the help of a partner..during Covid-19). She was clearly-super experienced. Best of all, she had an amazing attitude, and was all smiles throughout the entire visit. I would absolutely recommend Terminix to anyone, and ask for Eden if you can!!
Terminix has always been timely and thorough.
I called there customer service for information and pricing. After talking to them they said they cannot provide details and a technician will call take details and provide more information and quote for the service. It was promised that they shall call next day. Nobody called, so called again customer service went through all again and was said technician shall call the same day ASAP. No call for that day and morning day after. So have decided if they have such pathetic commitment then if I go for there service what shall happen.
I appreciate the thoroughness of my service technician Kim and feel confident that she is looking at all areas of potential need of treatment.
