Pettenuzzo's has great selection and fresh produce. They offer services like a bakery, a pharmacy and they sell hot and ready dinners. The store also sells children's clothing. For a small-town supermarket, it ticks all the boxes.

It used to be better, now almost everything is over priced and of lower quality for what we pay. Sad ! We are stuck going out of town for better deals. Also always check the expiration date. I bought a cake at the bakery, and it was a week old and starting to mold. Very disappointed.

Was in town visiting family, made 2 separate visits to the location. Store was clean, with a great in stock position in fresh, frozen, general merchandise and baby. Northern Ontario prices - as expected - the local owner of the store had flyer items in stock the level of care and pride in the store was also evident. Meals to go and Deli were staffed well with a good assortment available at the hot table. Checkout was quick and efficient with enough cash registers open to support customer demand. Both visits were on a weekday and during the afternoon.

Worst experience I've ever had in a grocery store. It was line up time and I stood in a line. A woman came up to me, an employee, and told me the line started at the other end of the store. I asked if there wasn't an express open, I only had three things. She said, "it's over there with twelve people. I looked both directions and she says, "there's a store across the street.". It wasn't said nicely, not at all. This is management talking to customers like that. I reported her to Debbie, the other manager but not sure how far that will go. This has been my go to store for years. Not so much anymore. Sad that employees feel they can be rude to their customers. I will do more of my shopping at the store across the street.

Staff are nice. Meat prices fluctuate a lot, some days skinless chicken breast can be cheap next day really expensive. The cashiers don't bag your groceries like the other independent franchise stores do so the lines move a lot slower. Some days you can wait 20-25 minutes just to start putting your groceries on the belt, but that's partially due to covid.

The experience me and my husband at independence was very shocking my husband can't wear a mask he had respiratory problems the owner called the police while he was waiting outside for me and placed a trespassing notice against him after he verbal assault him while he was on the ground casping for air . Anyone who can not allow someone on the property for having a disability is no very empathetic and should not be in the public sector working

Great store. A great variety, some great clothing. Hot meal to take out. 5 stars because all the checkout lines were long. Not quite enough open for a smoother flow. But the cashier I had was super friendly and efficient, even with the customer before me that could not find her card in her wallet or purse, till some guy came to her rescue and the cashier re entered her purchase total, he paid and they were on their way.
