2 summers ago my 150’ x 200’ lawn looked terrible...bare spots everywhere, grubs, weeds, compacted soil, etc. You name it and we had it. I spent countless hours and many $$ trying to solve the problems myself. Resigned to hire a professional I contacted 4 different companies (who will remain nameless). Mark showed more concern for my issues than anyone else. He thoroughly explained what he wanted to do and why. By the end of last summer things were beginning to look much better. This spring I have a thick beautiful yard. Even between two neighbors who have lots of dandelions we have almost none. As I cut the grass this week I couldn’t help but think how nice it looks and how pleased we are that they are doing such a good job. I’d hire Lawn Doctor again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them.

Extremely professional & consistent! Our businesses are located in a tourist area and it's very important to have them looking great at all times. Lawn Doctor takes the worry right out of this as it's something we don't even have to think about. They run off of a weekly schedule & it gets done week after week. One less thing to worry about is always a good thing!

I'm done with these big corporations and franchise lawn care companies. If you think you are getting "local" service, you are a fool. They are a huge corporation franchise and I wouldn't be surprised if they get their products from China. I'm going with smaller family owned business to not only support small local Michigan business, but for a more personalized service. These big corporations all have the EXACT SAME lawn program...They are unable to provide services tailored to suit your needs. They are CORPORATE CASH COWS without a care in the world about your lawn, and just because Mr & Mrs Jones uses them, doesn't mean you have too. I would prefer that the person taking care of my lawn actually cares about my lawn and enjoys his job! Just look at these CASH COWS when they are treating your lawn. They look like zombie robots that have been pre-programmed by the some corporate suit to go back and forth x-amount of times on you lawn with their terminator fertilizing machines. I mean comon!!...that machine was designed specifically to blast out as many lawn as possible, and to rack in as much cash as it can..AND IT DOES. Just 10 minutes on a 10k sq foot lawn!!! The problem is they can't treat right up to the edges so I have weeds along my flower beds and driveway ($52 per month for weeds). Forget QUALITY, it's all about QUANTITY for these guys. I'm also tired of being an account number. I'M NOT AN ACCOUNT NUMBER, I'M A HUMAN BEING THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT HIS LAWN!!! ....BYE BYE LAWN DOCTOR!!!!!

A++ Lawn Doctor was the only service that seemed to be able to get rid of the earwigs that infested my yard and were coming in my house. They also got rid of the grubs that ate half my yard and caused us to have to replant half of the lawn. Their fertilization/weed program has given us a thick beautiful lawn again. The Lawn Doctor is a great company in keeping you grass green and mostly weed free. We are about 25 miles from where their office is located. We have been a customer for approx. 9 years now having another compnay caring for our lawn before then. The other company was working with a new lawn from the spring after it was planted (was planted in Oct). We had weeds and would keep asking them about them said it would take time to get rid of them. well after 3 plus years of waiting, we found the Lawn Doctor. with in the first year you could see the difference in the lawn, less weeds. the following year they were even fewer. T. Am very happy the way our lawn look again this year. looking forward to 2018

I have been using Lawn Doctor to fertilize my lawn, with seasonal weed/pest control, for many years and my lawn is one of the best looking lawns on my street. Prior to Lawn Doctor I used a competitor and the results were not good. This is especialy important since my lawn is now about 30 years old! Very happy and the costs are not that much more than what I would pay for product to do it myself.

I bought the yearly contract for feeding and weeding my lawn for the last 10 yrs , since my lawn looks good . They did a full lawn kill and reseed when the city county dug up the yard for sewer ,water and drainage about 12 years ago . Lawn turned out excellent, several neighbors have started to use lawn doctor also . Bang for the buck they are best in town !

I would prefer to give them a "0", but then would not be able to write a review. Avoid this company at all costs. After contracting to have Coarse Fescue treated in my new home, I also signed up for fertilizer treatment and aeration for $500+. After the second fescue treatment last fall, over half of my lawn turned completely brown. This Spring I asked for an evaluation and was told to "be patient". A month later, with no meaningful improvement, I asked for them to step up and address the problem. I was told by the field supervisor, and eventually the owner, that "there are several possible causes of the problem", none of which they would accept responsibility for. They eventually did offer to redo my entire lawn for an additional $650, plus an additional two years of lawn service (another $600+). After much stonewalling and denial by the company, I agreed to continue the fertilizer program and they would redo the worst section of my lawn. Yesterday they applied the first of the fertilizer and I had to literally hunt for any granules in my lawn. Somehow, they were also able to apply the fertilizer with a broadcast spreader without leaving a single granule on my driveway or sidewalk. That, in addition to my continuing fescue problem, was enough. I cancelled the remainder of the program this morning and will NEVER deal with this company again. If you will look at other reviews of The Lawn Doctor from around the country, you will see that my situation is not unique. Denial, stonewalling and blaming the homeowner seems to be the corporate approach to dealing with customer complaints. Please do your due diligence (I did not) and avoid these people. There are many reputable lawn service companies out there.
