Covid right? Impossible to get appliances, right? We met some challenges with other big box stores, mainly comparing with Lowe's and ultimately returned to Lowe's to purchase a stove and fridge. We were VERY pleasantly surprised when they were able to fulfill our request within a couple of business days. I'm not saying there won't be a shortage of appliances out there, but Sean and Geoff did an EXCELLENT job of managing expectations. Only downside? Make sure the delivery people are employed by Lowe's and not a third-party contractor (and pay the difference if need be because it'll be worth it!).

Awful customer service. Waited in line forever. When I got to the front, the lady helped 3 customers on the phone instead of giving me a very straightforward return. Then she said my item was from Home Depot even though I had the Lowes receipt! Never going back.

Was there last week to buy a Google Home mini because their website said it was $35. Called ahead and was told it was still on sale. When I got there they we're $79. I showed them the price on their website still shows $35 but they refused to honor it. The staff were ignorant and rude. No wonder why their stores are closing all around Canada. I predict bankruptcy in the next 2-3 years! Good riddance.

Ask a lady walking by if she knew where they were , oh yes she said follow me and she proceeded to zig zag through the store and took me right too them. I came here looking for outdoor lights to replace my aging ones and a remote controlled ceiling fan. There was an excellent selection to choose from for both products. The store is just huge, navigating it is easy due to the easily seen signage in store. There is lots of parking available, with plenty of accessible spots too. The doors to the store are the fancy automatic kind that whoosh open for you. The staff were friendly helpful and very knowledgeable.

I visited the garden centre around 3pm. I was unable to find the plants I was interested in buying. The young girl at the cash register at the enterance was flicking through a magazine. I asked her for assistance and she told me she didnt know where the plants were and suggested I look again. There was no one else waiting for assistance I was still unable to find the plants. I again asked her for help she said she didnt know where the plant would be and said I should look again. She returned to her magazine. I told her that I had assumed that she was there to help I am extremely disappointed in her service. My daughter was going to visit your store later on the week but is reconsidering it .

The guy who helped us get it into the truck even told us he has a snowblower with a Briggs n Stratton motor n it still works great after 6 yrs. Cashiers very friendly and professional. I know how to look myself but the part was not in the shelf and needed from top stock. Such a shame as I know the training of customer service doesn't teach that. Rubbish. Well I do love the store in itself but I have to only give them 2 stars because almost every time I go there I have a run-in with a rude employee. Whether it’s the younger lady at the cash or the grumpy cashier supervisor, you always meet at least one rude employee. But what made me give them only 2 starts is the extremely rude older lady in the paint department, she is truly a grump. She was not only rude and condescending to my wife and I but rude to my 2 year old. Now I know what you’re thinking “his son was probably being a terror” but I can assure you that the only thing he did was not get out of her way with in two seconds, like come on lady you don’t tell a 2 year old to “move it” when he just standing there with his parents being quite. Plus you were “helping” us… Well, my wife, son and I took our business to Home-depot where we spend over a $1000 on wood stain for our fence and deck, so good work losing that business.

Purchases were great, prices were great, customer service was great. Two stars lost for lack of management of staff. There were lines at customer service/returns and lines at pickups, yet two staff were working these areas. There were 7 other staff, all within the area who were chatting (one In a group of 4). I suspect most aren't even trained to work there busy areas and that is the problem. Management should cross train employees, in different areas, so when demands for one area increase, the employee can temporarily be re-assigned. If other agree, Like My Post!

Bought a washer and dryer that was in stock. Took them almost 2 hours to get it from the stock room. Found out the reason why was because the guy getting it decided to go on break after getting just the washer for me. So he left me standing there. It made me so mad. I had a 3 month old with me so my baby got very upset and we live out of town. Only reason they got 2 stars was because they did a discount on the dryer which had a scratch.

Not impressed with Red Deer Lowe's. No sales associates to be found for help, had to go to customer service desk to have them do a PA for sales associate to major appliances. Sales associate who came to help made rude female dishwasher comment. All staff were unaware of the sales promotions going on and we had to keep pointing out the signs and the associate would have to read it to know. As we were at the till buying our Major Appliance and go through a god awful long process the staff members would interrupt our clerk with Halloween prop jokes. Overall the work culture needs to change and staff need to be trained. The entire process took over an hour to complete and store was not busy.

Their curb side service is TERRIBLE, curb side should be a same-day pick up, not half a week. I made sure and it was confirmed I did a curb side order. When I asked about my order, I was told most orders are taking 24-48hrs. I’m going on day 4 as of tomorrow, waiting for a curb side pickup for a garbage can I could have probably ordered and received in 2 days by Amazon.. Real shame. I hope they hire more staff to help with what seems like an overload of orders or better organization skills. I can’t imagine the stress and potential backlash the staff are getting if people are actually waiting 3-4 days for “curb side”.

On many occasions I've entered the store and found no sales staff to help. Today's visit was the same! I actually had a sales member make eye contact with me as I was walking toward them turn around and almost run away. In multiple areas of the store I found groups of staff chatting and laughing. As I passed many staff members today not one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. Generally I'm pretty handy and can figure problems out on my own, good luck asking anyone for advice.

But when I tried to call in for a deal they were having at Lowes online and at the store I ran into some road bumps. I wanted to order some edging online because I could get an extra 10 off by doing so but wasn't allowed to because the Red Deer store showed they had 0 in store whem in fact I knew they had a whole crate full having been there the day before. She refused to let me order it online and told me to go in to the store without adhering to the 10 off deal even though it was their issue in not updating their systems. Also when I went into the store looking for an item featured in their flyer as being on sale I wasn't able to buy it because they don't have any and can only be ordered online but for extra shipping costs. Plus it said I couldn't even get it shipped to me either and there being none at that store it wouldn't even let me get it to that store either. Even though they have great prices their system is totally ridiculous. That shopping trip and time spent online totally wasted my time and having to bring along my two you children made it that much more irritating. I won't be going back until they fix their policies.

Customer service from Will was great when we went to purchase our dishwasher. We paid for Lowe's installation and could not believe the service we got from the installer, Kevin. He was supposed to be at our house between 11 and noon. He called at 12:15 to say he was going to be late. He shows up at 12:50. He was rude and unapologetic for being late. He was on his phone twice during his time at our home. Upon finishing, he left all of the garbage on my counter and all over my front porch. I purchased a garden shed and told them i had to rent a bigger vehicle and would be back, i came back they loaded A shed and i left. A week later i hired a handy man to come and build my new shed and he informed me the shed i have is MUCH larger and expensive than the one i purchased. I didn’t want to be dishonest so i told him ill get the right one then call him back. He charged me a Cancellation fee for his time. After 2 failed attempts to call the Kingston location i went and rented another vehicle and drove it to the store. I asked if Lowes would be willing to install the Shed for free so i would have to pay a second time for their mistakes. The girl said Lets get that bigger more expensive shed off your vehicles and back on the property then ill be able to answer that question. Lol Of course to stop me from driving home and keeping it. And as you could guess the answer was a immediate NO. I called their Corporate number, they said that the local store will have to call me back in 24 hours, if not call back, and the issue would be dealt with. Today, 6 days later i still haven’t heard from the local store, and i called Corp again and again they said wait 24 hours for someone else at the local store to call. I said Never mind its obvious they don’t care cause they don’t have to, And have hired someone to come back and install it. Ill just write it off as the lowes experience, and never use lowes again either personally or through my business. If i had Just Kept the Larger more expensive shed i would have it up and being used, and be not be out around $200 for extra rental fees and handyman fees before the damn this even comes out of the box. Just remember at Lowes it does pay to be honest, nice guys finish last, and They don’t care cause they don’t have to.

I have had 2 returns with receipt within 90 day their policy and for both returns I had a very difficult time returning the item. Who would have thought returning a $5 bottle of glue remover would be such an issue. The customer service rep opening it inspecting it and taking a very long time while I'm standing there with my valid receipt. What nonsense. Then she couldn't even match the item to the receipt even though it was the same item. Perhaps you need to train your employees and hire better staff? I don't need to feel interrogated for returning an item with a receipt within your 90 day return policy. At the very least I'm owed an apology. Won't be shopping here ever again.

Bad service at both Kingston and Belleville Lowe stores. The item which shows online on website does not match with real items they carry in store so PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING just by looking online pictures otherwise you will end up with completely wrong item, which in my case was tiles. If you have to return because of Lowe's error, you will never get satisfaction as they only have 1 delivery per week even though they advertise "FREE DELIVERY on your purchase" everywhere in store.

This review is in regards to Lowes online shopping. Lowes, please look at how you process your online/pick up in store shopping. It truly is awful. Your sub company Rona does it right...with Rona you order on line, click pick up in store, and you pay. You get a text, and its ready, paperwork ready to sign at the front in a pick up area, completely ready. With Lowes, you waste a half hour waiting for them to find someone to go find you order hiding somewhere else. Then you waste another 15 minutes or more waiting for all the return customers etc so you can sign your paperwork once your stuff actually makes it up to the front. Horrible system...three times now, Ill stick to other stores that have it actually ready in a pick up zone.

Careful when buying a special order Samsung appliance. We bought a Samsung fridge on September 1st and were told it would be in store and ready for delivery Oct 4th. It is now November 5th and still no fridge!!! Lowes keeps blaming Samsung and Samsung keeps blaming Lowe's and we're the poor smucks caught in the middle with no dang fridge. The level of indifference being shown by both businesses is extremely disappointing. This definitely isn't our fault so it would be really nice if someone took ownership and delivered us our fridge. So not cool!

I've given Lowes a chance and usually check them and Home Depot before buying but today solidified why I'll never shop there again. I was asking them to price match a thermostat and she was 2 or 3 questions deep trying to find any reason to not match. She pointed out she wasnt sure if the date on the peice I showed her was the start or end date and It said Aug 20th...it was the start date but she was acting like I was trying to get one up on her, like I was being questioned. Finally when she heard there werent any in stock at HD she almost said in a relieved/ victorious tone "Oh, well then, that's why we can't match it.". I get the policy but it made me feel like I was trying to scam her and in my mind at that moment Lowes had a chance to earn a customer or lose one...she made it the latter. Disappointing as just before that a nice woman pointed me in the right direction to find the thermostats. I went back to HD and bought the floor model.

Hi. I am one of your recent customers who bought a washer and dryer and got it delivered and installed on 04/10/21. Firstly shout out to Chris from the appliances department who gave us good customer service. He was attentive to our needs, wears a smile all the time and was pleasant in the words he used. However the same cant be said for the delivery and installation guys. First and foremost they were complaining non-stop from the moment of unloading the items from their truck. E.g There was not enough space to carry the items through the parking space, they do not have the items required for installation and etc. In addition, they did not turn on the knobs for the hot and cold water pipes connected to the wall, resulting in the washing machine not being able to generate water during the wash. So the poor wife and I have to drag out the heavy stacked machines, squeeze between the small space we created, and turn it on. Thank god it worked out in the end. However, the inefficiency of your staffs just caused us unnecessary inconvenience, trouble, wasted time and energy. Please do review this case and improve your post-purchase customer service standards. I am utterly disappointed by this incident and hope to have a more pleasant experience in the future. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Went there to collect an online order and buy ceiling paint. I looked at shower heads out of interest in a particular model, the salesman was very helpful and informative. Went to get the Paint where I waited for the lady there to acknowledge my presence; without failure she continued cleaning what appears to be a drawer, after 90 seconds I decided to forget about the paint and get my online order from customer service desk; where there was a que of 3 people waiting while 4 assistants trying to help them, but they all seem to be waiting for a supervisor for one thing or another. I have spent THOUSANDS at Lowe’s since they first opened. It was my go to place for renovation materials for years. That ends today. Bought a new Washer Dryer with delivery option. The delivery team was rude, looked for reasons to get out of the install (harder to do, older home). Even suggested taking the laundry pair back to Lowe’s. “This is not part of our job…” Miraculously, I removed the old laundry pair and installed the washer dryer myself with the assistance of our tenant. Beyond disappointed. Will never use their delivery service again. Reached out to store management to complain. Could tell on the phone I will probably never get a call back / not a priority. I literally went to every "hardware" store in Red Deer. I needed info on a specific small double sink, bathroom vanity, and surround base and doors for a shower... The gentlemen(Glen Campbell, I think?) that helped me was amazing! He didn't brush off my questions, he looked up information, sizes, prices, and availability! I was told by a 'very experienced assistant', "Come back tomorrow, or another day and someone can look up that info... Oh, and here is a website if you have questions" (Rona North) The other sales person(at Home Depot) waved me toward the wall and said, "We only have the stuff on the wall." (not true, I used to work there years ago, and there are literally catalogs of different sinks etc on the wall beside the sinks) While i was there, Glen had 3 differen't phone calls, handled them very professionally, and courteously, and still helped me during it all... Another lady came over near the end of my visit, and she was very knowledgeable and helpfull as well, but I didn't get her name. I did not feel like I was an inconvience, or that I was a nuisance for having odd sized things, and I was totally impressed! For a non-commission, hourly wage staff, I was totally WoWed! Job Well Done!!!

The only gripe I have had so far is prepaying for a saw that came with a mitre saw stand and ending up seeing both products on the floor with no inventory updates to reflect stock and no phone call to let me know to come and get my prepurchased items. So my advice is to check back regularly.

Awesome experience with Janice ( Service desk manager) and Jason the store manager. I was having difficulty with the service desk clerks over a price reduction on products I purchased. Janice and Jason stepped in and swiftly made things better than right and showed why its worth being a loyal Lowes client. The customer service here is second to none! It so refreshing to have employees that know what they are talking about and want to help you. Unlike Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Home Hardware or Co-op where the employees run from you or claim that this isn't their department. Lowe's workers seek to help you find the right product and don't try and try to sell you something you don't need. I want to say a super big thank you to Jared who helped my wife and I with selecting a lawnmower. He was super knolagable and very charismatic. The customer service we recieved from Jared will keep us coming back to Lowe's! This store is one of three big home improvement stores in Kingston with the others being Home Depot and Rona Home and Garden. As compared to these other stores, I would say Lowe's has the largest parking lot and the largest selection of sheds. Inside the store there is a wide range of appliances and home improvement products. It also gives Airmiles and has a Subway in the store if you're hungry. I find the staff to be very friendly but not always as technically proficient or knowledgeable as those at Home Depot.

We were shopping around for a quote on central air, and wanted to give them a shot. Set up an appointment for a guy to come to our home and assess it to see what we needed. He spent all of 5 minutes at our house and left saying he'd email a quote later. Our last in home assessment by another company took an hour. We were emailed but did not get a quote, and then when we finally did get the quote, we were also emailed 150 emails from them. Not kidding, 150 lowes emails over a day. Their tech did not seem very knowledgable and we will not use their service.

Please go support a local store or smaller local chain...pay a fraction more and get better everything. Typical lack of effort from the staff I encountered...blank stares of indifference towards whatever said solution you are looking for. I needed plumbing assistance...didn't get any. Patched up my home repair...the next day I was at Bruins and got actual assistance above and beyond. I see some support for the staff in these posts...I'm sure there are good people there at times but I just don't like the odds of actually bumping into one when I am there.

Allow me to preface this by saying I've been in thousands of big box hardware stores all around the world, from Addis Ababa to Zagreb. Nowhere else have I encountered such helpful staff as Sean and Will in the Lowe's Kingston appliance department. The service they provide goes beyond what is expected or even necessary for a salesperson to provide to their customer. A comparison would be the care and affection provided to a cub by it's momma bear, nuzzling and soothing it through the long winter. If I had twenty four hours left to live I would spend eighteen of them in this store because they are conveniently open from 6am to 10pm on weekdays. Ambient music can be a little loud in certain parts of the store.

The only store I've ever called multiple times and can NOT get through. Seriously, where's your customer service? I bought a Canadiana Snowblower from Lowes that I've used probably a dozen times and need to get serviced and can NOT find out who or where the authorized repair shop is in Kingston. Tried to call again and got through! However, the person on the floor didn't know who was the authorized repair shop for Canadiana Snow Blowers. I was then put on hold for4 minutes while he sought out an answer, then my call rang through again to be picked up by the same person who told me the person with the info I needed was probably on break, and then I got cut off. All in all a frustrating experience that has wasted more of my time.

Recently went to get part for a regular normal toilet. The broken part was not able to compare because too bad shape. Took 4 trips to the store to get a part that sort of worked. The plumbing specialist was the flooring guy yesterday, had no Idea how to answer and was totally useless. Quote, "this should work" or "here's the right one". I used pictures, manufacture, etc. Terrible customer help. If you need a plumbing part, do yourself a favor and go directly to a plumbing wholesaler. One minute at a real plumbing store and found the correct part.

I was looking for a new kitchen sink in Red Deer store. Very impressed with in-store selection. Roads bad today so I didnt want to go out but last day of 15% sale so I called store and was helped by Megan (sp?) in customer service. Very very helpful. I got the discount and will pick up tomorrow. She even called me back to check if I had air miles. Very happy! The gentleman, working in the sink dept when I went in yesterday evening (Feb 16) also was very helpful making sure I had all the information I needed to make my decision ..... wish I could recall his name. Maybe the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. They called to say that my order was ready to pick up, then had me stand at the counter for AN HOUR AND A HALF while they looked for the order that they had just told me to come pickup. Standing there that long on a busy Saturday I realized that they were VERY understaffed, and the staff that was there was VERY undertrained. I got to see MANY unhappy customers leave frustrated, and staff that was completely unapologetic for their incompetence.
