The line to checkout is unreal. I've been there at one point where the line goes all the way to the produce... I feel like I'm being herded into lines like a cow waiting to get out of the barn into the freedom that is the world. Only to find myself in my weekly routine waiting in another line to get gas. I'm pretty sure my gas guzzling cadillac uses up more gas than the money I'm saving to fill up. All in all there was a rude old lady who greeted us saying we needed to go to wait in a returns line to return sunglasses... after waiting in line they told us to go return them at the sunglass department where we were originally headed. So I told her to fly a kite.

(Translated) Last time I go to Costco for quite a while. I'll explain, I was at the cash desk with my parents ready to pay. So we put the items on the counter, the cashier tells us to wait until the customer in front is further away. So far it's okay. Then it's our turn to pass but the customer from the other cashier on the other side goes behind my father even if in the waiting order it was my father's turn, so my father wants put the items on the counter but the cashier told her curtly to wait again. When finally it is my father's turn, he asks the cashier if he can really pass because there is plexiglass that protects between my father and the cashier. That's when an employee asks my dad silly if he has a problem, and my dad throws the question back to him. Then the same employee begins to say that it is my father who is looking for trouble. Is it because it's the cashiers of the two cash registers who are not able to speak to each other to coordinate the customers to have a good time that it's my father's fault? Then I asked the cashier why the other cashier was not two meters from him. He replied in an arrogant tone that it is because the cashier is coming to replace him. This whole story to say that before making people sweat with your requests, therefore, start by setting an example between you, the employees, and therefore be more polite with the customers. It does not make sense I have not visited any but no store since the covid which imposes rules on customers without the employees themselves respecting these same rules. It's gonna take a while before I set foot in a Costco again I can tell you. (Original) Dernière fois que je vais chez Costco avant un bon moment. Quand finalement c'est au tour de mon père il demande à la caissière si réellement il peut passer car il y a des plexiglas qui protège entre mon père et la caissière. C'est à ce moment qu'un employé demande à mon père sur un ton bête s'il a un problème, mon père lui renvoie alors la question. Ensuite le même employé commence à dire que c'est mon père qui cherche le trouble. C'est parce que c'est les caissières des deux caisses en réalité qui ne sont pas capable de se parler pour coordonner les clients pour passer au bon moment que c'est de la faute à mon père? Ensuite j'ai demandé au caissier pourquoi l'autre caissière n'était pas à deux mètres de lui. Il m'a répondu sur un ton arrogant que c'est parce que la caissière s'en vient le remplacer. Toute cette histoire pour dire que avant de faire suer le peuple avec vos demandes commencer donc par donner l'exemple entre vous les employés, et soyez donc plus poli avec les clients. Ça n'a pas de sens je n'ai visité aucun mais aucun magasin depuis le covid qui impose des règles aux clients sans que les employés eux même ne respecte ces mêmes règles. Ça va prendre du temps avant que je ne mettre a nouveau les pieds dans un Costco je peux vous le dire.

I went there with one of my friends, as you must have membership for any purchase. I'm not into bulk purchasing, because when you consider opportunity cost it's not a good choice at all. Moreover, there are almost no staff to get help while it's a huge store. However, the variety of products is excellent and you can find good quality products.

Yougurt, sour cream, bologna are just a few things that you can get for much less than what your grocery store is charging you. Meat is often a very good deal at Costco. They offer one-of-a-kind items that are priced very competitively. The store is very clean. Their cash back program often pays for my membership every year.

On April 13th, I went to Southside Costco to get my tire changes done; however, they were not able to complete my request as one of my summer tires had the bead torn off. From my belief, the bead of the tire is not something the driver can tear and it is solely the fault of the person who changed my tires. The attendant at Southside Costco agreed with me. The previous time I got my tires changed, I got it at this location - Westside Costco - therefore, I believe one of the people who work at this location has torn my bead without letting me know. I am extremely disappointed and concerned about the transparency between the worker and the customer. I really hope this does not happen again for future customers and beg that the workers tell the customer if they had either made a mistake or if something went wrong; they are endangering the safety of the customers and it can lead to bigger problems. As much as the money I have paid for the services is important, I believe safety is way more important than that. Southside Costco will be reimbursing me with a new tire to resolve this issue therefore I am not asking for anything back. However, I will be driving with uneven tires now. I just want this location to be aware of this issue and make sure the workers are transparent with their customers.

Nice Costco store. Has majority of products. I had a very bad experience while was there. Cellular phone coverage was impossible. No network coverage. Also, some items are not well organized. For example, bubbly products were dislocated from other bavarages. I spent time to figure it out.

It's expensive for a membership but they have such great quality items. It is certainly not cheaper then at Walmart. The only staples they sell that are always a better price are toilet paper, bottled water, roast chicken, cat litter, naan bread, muffins and some of the frozen foods, like motza sticks, egg rolls. Meat is a very good quality, but its is expensive and you must buy very large packs. They also do great tasting slab cakes which they will custom decorate. I have seen people get them for weddings.

To me, Costco is the epitome of consumptive behaviour. Buying more than you need so you can get a great price and "stock up" so you make less trips. The psychological trick of this model is if you have it in the house, you tend to consume more, because more is available. For example, this is particularly true of a giant bag of tortilla chips. Leave that on the counter and it will be consumed almost just as fast as a small bag. You have now spend more, eaten more, and your wallet and waistline are no happier for the experience. All that said, I still shop here because the quality of the products are good and the prices are great. In some cases they carry inventory that you cannot get in other stores, and those products are really excellent. The only downsides to Costco shopping is the fact that you pay for membership, its challenging to find parking, and the lineups at the checkout are usually long.

Zero stars is what this specific Costco store deserves. Renewed membership on october 15th 2014. Paid via debit. $57.10 came out of my account. It was approved. Receipt, which i still have says this. Bought gas three times - all times Costco card worked not a problem. Last night, went shopping, stood in line. Waited. Got to till, items rang thru, Then i'm told, a supervisor has to be called. Supervisor comes, looks at whatever computer says, says to me there is a problem with your Costco card. Come to customer service. Off i go. Wait some more. The lady behind the till says the payment didn't go through when i paid on october 15th. Weird. My receipt clearly says it went thru. My bank history shows the withdrawal. Yet that is not good enough. They want the payment again. I already paid i said, here is the proof, you are not getting anymore money from me for something i've already paid for and have proof. Not good enough - the supervisor and the customer service person tries to tag team me. Tells me their computer says the payment didn't go thru on their end. I have to pay again. Again, i tell them, i am NOT paying for what i have already paid for. Supervisor says, i can speak to a manager. Call him over i said, i already paid. So i wait some more... The manager comes over, i slap down my bank card, my Costco card, my receipt, and clearly say, this is who i am, this is what i paid with and this says it was approved. Yet, i am told i didn't pay. I am not impressed. Weird, the manager says, so he and the supervisor and the customer service person pull out some more papers, stare blindly at their monitor. I continue to wait. The supervisor comes over sees i'm losing patience, getting angrier by the minute, tries to emphasize with me. Don't i say. Just don't. He looks at me then walks back to the monitor where the manager and customer service person were still staring blindly at the screen. I continue to wait when the manager, a young man, quite nice in demeanour, tried to diffuse the situation and said, our computer says you didn't pay. Even though you have your receipt. Even though, your bank balance shows the balance was withdrawn from your bank acct it doesn't matter. The best we can do is call you in a couple of..... Days..... I laughed.... Not a nice laugh... Really? Seriously? I am appalled at the treatment i received last night I have been a consumer most of my life and never have i had to endure such headache, unprofessionalism, and to be quite frank, such stupidity from any company i chose to spend my money with. Never, have i been told, even though i have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the transaction went thru, backed up by a hard copy receipt, my bank balance which shows the transaction was approved that wasn't good enough. Costco - you should be ashamed. I am a very loyal customer to companies that treat me well. I will never step foot inside your store again. You have lost a loyal, and dedicated customer. Thanks to your team representatives for wasting my very valuable time and your arrogant dis-service. If nothing else, I expect an immediate solution to the problem at hand! Please remove the flag from my card so it is usable at the gas bar (NOT at your location). In addition, since this took place in your very public customer service area (where multiple customers were walking by and noticing the drama as it unfolded like a car crash - you can't help but look)-- a public apology AND acknowledgement, that it was YOUR staff at fault would also suffice. I honestly would never go to Costco if it weren't for the good deals. Already, I get pretty flustered in there with all the people; with COVID it is even worse. Still too many people in the store at once (to allow for good distancing), not enough enforcement of wearing masks properly, and some staff even pulled down their masks when speaking to me. With even a small amount of comparison shopping the savings on your purchases more than pay for the price of membership. The one area to exercise caution is in perishable produce. For couples or smaller families the shelf life of such produce may expire before you can consume all of it. Purchasing these items at your favorite grocery store in more manageable quantities may be more economical and environmentally sound.

This Costco has become the go to Costco as they have all the additional Costco departments and services. Such as gas, liquor, garden Center and photo lab. Generally well organized and maintained for the amount of people that frequent the store. During busy times they usually have most the checkouts open which has been a negative at other Costco’s.

I love Costco. It is a good place to buy in bulk, but you have to know the price of things to get good deals. They have a good variety of jewelry at a good price. The most affordable place for an oil change in Kingston, and they only use synthetic. They are quite busy, so I recommend booking an appointment in person at the Tire Center, as they won’t answer the phone. It also has a propane tank refilling station, and the price is also the lowest in Kingston. Overall, It’s worth spending your money on a Costco membership. You will save quite a lot on your grocery bill, including the points noted above. The staff are accommodating and seem to be happy with their employer.

It’s always been my favourite store and it is still my favourite store. I had a bad experience today ,I booked an appointment for tire change (winter to summer), I had an appointment at 4:15, I was late 5mins, there was a line up as usual, and by the time I reached the counter it was 4:28, the guy at the counter said that I m 15mins late, and refused to take me in,he said half hour is not enough to mount the tires. I get that part but I even saw appointment avbl at 430 also. My suggestion is add more people at the desk so that everyone gets good service unlike me... Totally shocked & disappointed today - STAFF MEMBER USED RELIGIOUS HATE SPEECH while standing around chatting with coworkers. I let them know it was offensive and unprofessional. One of them was so rude that she actually jeered back with "Well... Ooooo Kaaaaay then!" So I advised her that the correct response would be an apology, but she became dismissive, claiming she had not been the one said it. The other two staff just turned their back, muttering to eachother (no responsibility whatsoever). Unbelievable - using such offensive language, then thumbing their nose at a customer, just daring me to do something about it.... and yes at that point, I went to get a supervisor. There is no place for that kind of talk, and this trio of bullies were being called out to learn how to show some basic human dignity. Why Supervisor Dan did not yank them off the sales floor right away is a total mystery, because they just went back to muttering and delivering the stink eye. Bad job Costco!

I contacted this costco for a fat bike for my husband. I requested them to hold it for me till evening as I reside in Brampton and have work in the morning. The manager said that they will do it as am a member. Before leaving from Brampton i called them to make sure that they still have it for me and the manager said she has put on hold for 1 item. But once we reached the store they said the bikes were all sold. I drove 300+ km and the supervisor's attitude was very disrespectful. Very poor customer service. Love Costco, mom and I have been a member for many years now. If you are a busy couple or family Costco is for you, you don't have to buy all your food there but I suggest getting big non parishables. Things such as tooth brush heads, razors, toilet paper, or paper towel, they also have some nice meats and good baked goods but if your a smaller family or individual I would edge on the side of caution fearing myself I will buy too much and throw it out.

I rate this store with five stars because I had never had a bad experience in this store to this point.The staff are always accommodating to me as a person with a disability and my service dog named Nefertiti. I'm given accommodations, especially, when the store is very crowded . Nefertiti and I have been going to thstore weekly, so the staff knows us by name and some of the staff knows that I have ataxia and is willing to assist me while in the store .This is important that we are treated as individuals and not just for a dollar sign. Pertinently, the staff have a vast knowledge- base about service dogs in their store and the guidelines that have to apply. I used to shop once per month but now I am shopping 4 times per week because I feel comfortable with the staff. Also Nefertiti loves seen them too even though , they can't pet her. Nevertheless , she is just has happy to see the staff at this Costco wholesale.

I have always purchased my tires through Costco. This is the first time I havent because I found a better price online. I booked an appointment to get my winters on (already on the rims - straight swap over) and I found out that unless you bought tires and rims through Costco you are unable to use any of the tire center services. Seems like an odd business model. I would totally understand that people who purchase tires from Costco would get priority, but as a long time customer of Costco and their services, this is really bad style!! Suggestion, if you have a membership you should be able to utilize the tire services (as all costco services are open to use) but maybe charge extra for those who choose not to buy tires specifically from you.

Costco started to sell organic products now. Their customer service is beyond expectations. Easy to return on anything such as frozen or cheese products. Nobody can beat their sale prices. Memberships price went up slightly. If you have Capital One Master Card, you can get 1% rebate on top of Costco's 2% rebate.

I visited at 1 PM on a Sunday just to purchase fuel and grab a hot dog. The soda machines had no ice in them and three of the dispensers were broken. On top of this, I was denied entry to the store since I only had a Cash Card. I spoke to the customer service desk and said I've used this before at other stores and they allowed me in "just this one time". When I purchased the Cash Card in Vancouver, I was told it can be used as prepaid credit towards merchandise and fuel at any Costco. This store refuted that, saying I needed a temporary pass and could only use the Cash Card twice in one year, which was opposite to what the store in Vancouver said. I made it clear I have not purchased anything in the store aside from the food bar and also gasoline, but was told I must have a membership to buy fuel and food items from their food bar. Both the gas pumps and card readers at the food bar do not ask for a membership when you use a Cash Card. This is the third time I've had issues using a Cash Card. Their website says a Card can be used for fuel and merchandise, although the stores seem to think otherwise.

The heavier set women and the thinner middle aged man from the tire center are extremely rude and pretentious. I've been there three times and each time both have been there. I've seen them be rude and dismissive to elderly customers. The woman even raised her voice to a very old man who did not understand the online booking process. If I were to sum up their attitudes it was be with the phrase "that's your problem, not mine." It was very difficult to get an appointment and honestly I just didn't want to give them my money after so much disrespect to customers. I ended up going to Mr lube and paying $120 for a tire swap despite the fact I bought my tires at Costco. I will be in contact with management.

Aside from all of the Wonderful things Costco has provided for many many years and are a must purchase, on every trip. I am unable to wear a mask and today on our visit, the woman at the door, offered me a shield. I wear glasses and the first thing I noticed was that I couldn't see my reflection in it. Which is Awesome because that gives me a headache. So, off I went to have fun shopping and left without being dizzy and ending up with a pounding headache. This happened after my 20 minutes power shopping, because I was forced to wear the scarf I used last time. Its this sort of kindness that makes Costco worth the 2 hour trip now.

This is the best place to shop. I fall into a dilemma whether it’s okay to spend 120 dollars per year for the membership. But sometimes I think it’s worth it. Most of the things here and healthy and cheap. They have a great selection of bakery products and delicious looking imported fruits. Only drawback here is that everything is in huge quantities and is not designed for a household of 2. But if you’re willing to use one thing for a month and you have good amount of storage capacity in your fridge, this is the place to go!

Very busy and finding a parking space was extremely difficult. The garden centre is very small and not set up for easy access. You can not get down the aisles when someone else is in it. The store was not set up correctly compared to other Costco's especially those in the US. There was only 1 brand of instant coffee. I found there were many missing price signs and the clothing section was not well laid out . The store needs to accommodate the big carts and the flow of the store needs to be structured for the carts. I have always liked Costco's products but the layout of this store is not great.

I went into Costco near closing time around 8:05 pm and I immediately realized that I forgot my wallet at home. I was thinking not a bad thing because luckily I had enough cash on me for what I needed to buy. I went to the customer service desk to ask for a temporary card and was I formed that my membership had just expired 5 days prior. I said that I was aware of this and had I brought my wallet I would have been able to renew it at that time. The woman helping me explained that the computer would not allow her to give me a temporary card because of this. I said "I don't have time to go home and get my wallet because the store will be closed by the time I return". then she asked me to just wait a moment and she would ask her manager to help me. The manager named Neopolean I think, came over and told me there was nothing he could do and that this was their policy. I find it hard to believe that there is nothing they could have done! I stormed out angrily without the item I came for (snow shovel). I have calmed down since otherwise this review would sound much much worse. Costco, if this is indeed your policy then I think you need to take a hard look at who your long time members are (approx 20 years) and perhaps fix this so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Oh, and if this is not your policy then you might want to take Neopolean's plaque off of the wall as a manager of customer service.

The place doesn’t have a huge selection, but they don’t need to, cheaper booze and all great quality.

My favorite Costco location in the city. The parking lot is always packed, but inside it's not actually that bad. Doesn't seem that busy most of the time, and there are always enough tools open that you don't end up in lines more than 6 or so carts deep. Liquor store and gas bar here as well. I actually live closer to the 149 location, but prefer to drive out to this one.

It’s centrally located in Kingston, compared to other Costco’s the long lineups move surprisingly fast and the staff are always willing to help grab that +1 item I keep forgetting while I’m standing in line. This Costco is kinda a hidden gem stores. Parking lot looks packed all the time, but you get in the store and there are a lot less people than in other Costco's. Much easier to get around in. Cashier lineups are shorter. However, I never enter a Costco on the weekend...so I don't know what this place is like on a weekend. But during the week its a lot less full and busy than the other Costco's in the Edmonton area.

I was convinced to change to Primus internet provided by Costco 1 year ago. The cost was the primary reason. It was a total disaster, constant delays, and inability to steam many programs. I emailed and complained many times. Eventually the modem died, was replaced with minor improvements. When my contract was up, I decided to end our contract. I was treated with major distain and rudeness. Our new internet provider is amazing. Next month I was sent another bill and complaint for proof of return of equipment. I would advise people if you decide to change to Primus internet service to think twice. Hope this helps I am so sorry to join in any Costco extended service I have always thought Costco provided good quality products . I hope Costco returns a comment to this complaint. Regards

A couple months back, my wife had a bad fall in their parking lot due to poor repair. The manager she talked to was a dismissive jerk, basically calling her out, and making innuendos that she was faking. Absolutely no care at all that my wife in her 60s had fallen, and hurt herself in the parking lot. Now I realize it is the mall owners responsibility, but this guy was ignorant. The dude doing shopping carts was a star, he gets a good rating, the manager however, I wish I could give a zero.

Great place to buy bigger quantities and variety of choices of meat and cheese. Some products exclusively only at Costco. You can try fresh samples, buy products for reasonable prices, sometimes significant discounts and with gasoline station lpwedt prices in Edmonton. It is worth yo have the Costco membership.

One lady in particular came right up beside me at the meat cooler to ask me questions of the hamburger sale. She was literally 3 inches away from me. Went there on boxing day after 6 pm and the parking lot only had 5 cars I thought it was closed but no it was open with hardly any costumers inside,one of the nice employees told us people think they are closed after 5 pm on boxing day,we had the store just for ,other wise try not to go on the weekends, parking it's a nightmare. Really rude and unhelpful. Did not answer my calls when i tried to find out if they can patch my tire (bought from them and still under warranty). I understand it was busy but their solution was to drive around the city on my spare tire and hope the other locations weren't as busy. I went to mr. It gets super busy during the afternoon and on weekends, so it can be hard to find parking. Gas station lines also gets long, but it’s understandable as they have the best prices. Really affordable prices for bulk purchases and the food is also the best! Also, I get my eye exams there and they have affordable pricing and great staff.

Great value if you need half a million rolls of paper towel. Great meats and fish at a reasonable price. If you eat a lot of salads this is the best place to buy leafy greens in large quantities. Line ups can be excessively long and dont expect any assistance from the staff.

I went to check out the glasses they had and the staff was super quick to come and make sure I was ok and that I didn't need help. The selection was pretty good. I'm super happy with the prices they are beyond amazing. Then the staff made sure that I didn't have to wait long once I made my choice got me all set up and were very friendly. Relatively well designed Costco, has everything and anything you would expect from a wholesale club. Easy to navigate the different food sections, there are just a few types of products they may not carry from some brands you may expect, however they still have all their amazing Kirkland brands which is one of the primary reasons most people go to Costco I would say. I got a Cosco membership for my birthday. I have never been all that intrerested in one, due to how insanely busy and out of the way it is. I don't have a big family. I went in to get it activated, and was met by three staff bullying me for not getting the premium membership, which I had to say I did not want or need several times. They did not stop until my mother in-law walked over and repeated what I said. They were incredibly mean to me throughout the entire interaction.

NB Feb 25, store open/close times have changed. They open earlier. Instead of 10am, it's now 9am It's Costco and one always spends too much. This Costco has a liquor store. NB for small business, they do not sell cigarettes. Access to this store is becoming more of a challenge as the surrounding area gets built up. Across the street is the River Cree and they are building additional commercial property. A Shell station will be opening in the near future. When the City of Edmonton clear up the bottle neck that sometimes occurs by putting in another lane (east and west bound) access should improve. Parking during busy times is horrendous. I don't know that I've had challenges finding space as I've had with this store. Overall it's a Costco and we like the merchandise, price and warranties that go with purchasing from them.

I used to really like this location because it was never overly busy. The parking lot is laid out nicely and they had the liquor store. But in the last couple years it has become so busy. It is probably worse than 91st Street now. Now that 91st has a liquor store (plus they have always had the propane station), it's just a toss up between going there or to Nisku.

I was extremely disappointed with the behavior of the staff today. I was shopping with my father and they did not let my father pay for me. I was there with my card I could’ve get the card from him before approaching the staff and she wouldn’t even know who’s paying for who! This is stupid we’re from the same household and we were both there to pay. The staff reaction was rude and unacceptable. I would not feel that bad if she was at least nice in the way she was talking to me.

Costco is a very good place to buy groceries, I like to spend some time at Costco. On special occasions is possible find even better prices. Usually they are bigger then competition stores and have a bigger offer of goods and they have food stores inside, so if you want to eat something you can eat inside the Cosco that way is easy to buy. It was 8pm when I arrived at the parking lot. The customer line was still there all the way to the back of the liquor store. So me and some other customers walked straight to the back of the liquor store near the garden section and looking for the end of line when we passed 2 staff. They were talking to each other. So we followed the rope barrier but it turned around at the other side of the garden and led us back to the 2 staff. And then, the one of them asked me if I was looking for the end of line and then told me line was closed. I said “u should tell me before I entered the rope lane.” Then he said “u didn’t ask.” Ok, very funny and helpful. This is frustrating for both me and other customers in the lane. I understand and will continue to support Costco’s decisions for covid prevention. But you know what? Maybe you were not so busy chatting with each other and wear a working vest or at least let me see your Costco tag, then I might come front and ask if you were be kind enough to show me where the end of lane is.

Canceled costco executive membership because they lied and said if I spent a certain amount of money they would send a rebate check which would pay for the membership. Never received any check and the csr said one was sent but couldn't tell me What the amount was for even though it supposedly was sent 2 months ago. She then proceded to help another customer with the same issue but had no issues advising her of he exact amount of each check sent to her. So my membership was canceled to poor customer service. Superstore has the same prices and I don't need to pay an annual membership.

I got my Costco premium membership 7 months ago and has been a regular visitor since then. Three weeks ago, I ordered tires for my car and got them installed at this warehouse last week. I was told to come back for torque check after a couple of days and I did the same today. Upon entering the store, I grabbed a shopping cart since I found a nice knife set for a fair price and I've been looking for one. I put the knife set in the cart and proceeded to the tire center which was inside the warehouse to show the invoice and handover the keys if they need them and thinking I could come back and finish the shopping while they start inspecting the tires. Upon reaching the tire center, a lady who looked like a cashier followed me and asked me very rudely if I have paid for the knife set yet or not. When I said I didn't and I wanted to get my tires done and I wasn't done with the shopping yet, she was very mean to me and said I am not allowed to take the carts past the tills. She took the cart from me. There were no signs saying customers are not allowed to take the carts past the tills unless they have paid for what is in their carts. Moreover, I was not taking the cart outside the warehouse, but to the tire center which is right inside the warehouse. And Costco always has at least two employees checking every customer's cart when they exit the store. I am not justifying what I did. But people can make mistakes and people working in the customer service industry should learn to treat their customers like humans at least instead of treating them like crap.

It's really unfortunate when you have to overhear staff discussing the Covid vaccine and discover that they have no problem catching the virus "it's just like getting the flu". Giving the only reason to get the vaccine is so they can travel. Obviously the possibility of transferring the virus to anyone else (customers) is not of any concern, sad and disappointing.

First, I will say that this is probably the most organized Costco in the city. Although for the most part I am very happy with this location, I will say that the other day we returned a faulty soundbar we bought a couple of months ago... we called them to see if it was ok and that we no longer had the box or the receipt. They said it was no problem. When we got there, they said the SKU # on the back of the product did not match what was in the system. Basically they accused us of returning a product that was not theirs. This was extremely frustrating for me because we are honest people. We would never do that because that is just greasy! I get that they are doing their due diligence and following the process in that situation, but whether it be this location or all of them in the city - they need to fix the back-end process. How do they know that the item we purchased was not a returned item from a dishonest customer? Do they only check the SKU on the box and not the SKU on the product on returned items? We got the dirty looks and the, "We'll give you a refund ANYWAY" spiel and this did not make me feel good at all. Please fix your process. This is coming from an honest customer.

Customers are treated with zero respect and the staff give off the impression that you, (the customers) are fortunate to have the honor of dealing with them!?!?!?. Horrible environment - even more so with the covid situation as now you've given them some power. The female cashiers we've had are downright rude. Tip: go to a cash with male employees, you'll have a much better experience.

The line ups are very long. I called before picking up medicine, to understand their protocol. If you go to the staff member managing the line flow, and advise you are only picking up medicine, then you are let in...no queue icons are issued for this purpose. One of the downsides... didn't appreciate the patronizing tone.. it came off as condescending. You either are effective in handling crowd-control, or you enjoy ordering people around. Probably not the best employee to place as your brand ambassador, or he was having a bad day. The store is big and will probably require a large crowd to met operational costs.. people may eventually get fed up with the long wait time.

I always go to the South store but I was always happy. Today I tried Costco West while I was waiting for my car to have tire rotation completed there. When I was ready to pay for my merchandises, the cashier took my Capital One Master Card! She checked all the items in my cart and asked me again to give her my card. She forgot she already got it from me and she was unable to find it! She lost it! It was very frustrating! I paid with another card and I went to customer service to make a formal complaint. I was sent to another side of the store while I was told that someone had my card but they never told me who and how it was found. They just said it was found somewhere on the leaving area. When I requested to see the store manager I was send to three different people, all of them pretending to be the manager. I had to go through what happened to me with all the three "managers" and I asked who was actually the manager? The second I saw told me they are "supervisors". Only the last person I saw was understanding and apologized for what happened and asked to see my receipt to find out the cashier's name in order to discuss the issue with her. I believe the cashier gave my credit card to another customer or just lost it, dropped it somewhere ... however, a credit card is not something to be misplaced by anyone especially by a cashier!!

Generally not too bad a store if you don't mind the long lines and long wait for saving a few bucks. Many items can be found elsewhere for cheaper if you can wait for good sales and want one specific thing without the usual Costco multiple sizing and extra bits. I have encountered at least three staff who seem to have been told that they are God, their words are gospel, they are both judge and jury, and the customer is not first. But most others are decent.

Costco is great. Basically everyone I have been to is exactly the same inside. This one is no different in those regards. This one does not have a gas bar unfortunately. We come here for food mostly. Price and quantity is hard to beat. The quality is good, I wouldn't say it is extraordinary like our local butcher, but it is good. If you haven't tried the coconut clusters or whisps you are missing out. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The parking area is cramped and a zoo at best of times. We like it here and will continue to go.

Review for Costco optical: First experience getting my lenses done at Costco and I'm very disappointed. First I tried transitions and didn't like them so I got them switched to regular lenses. All good. But then when I got the regular lenses back and I took them home, they messed up the coding so there was a large permanent smudge in the middle of one of the lenses so they had to send them back to be redone again. When I went to pick them up for a 3rd time after they were redone, there was a large scratch on the lens and they had to send them back once again. The amount of times I've had to go back there just for them to send them back again has left me wishing I went elsewhere.

*****Nov 22 update*** not a single cart inside store at 1230pm... a guy inside asking if we wanted the carts we found wiped down... 4 feet from a stand that held the same wipes... go out and get carts!! trying to leave and get a long line at exit check .. did the manager go on vacation ? ***** Just watched two checkout employees transfer items from bottom of the cart I was using in store to a different cart at check out. I turned around and watched them wipe my handle and then give that cart to the next people. I stayed and watch them repete this process again and again.. This process slowed everything down and didn't improve hygiene... if you're worried about my handle when you're wearing gloves and touching the items I've already touched you're missing the point..

Otherwise - it's a clean and tidy Costco location. What can I say? Typical Costco. All the bulk stuff you need (or don't). This is one of the biggest stores in Edmonton so therefore, more stuff. If you've never been to a Costco, get a membership. If you have, you know what I'm talking about. About the only negative about this location (and yes, some others), is access getting in. There's always a huge line-up to the entrance and having two non-synchronized lights into the parking lot doesn't help. Finding parking at peak times can be an adventure too. Getting out, for some reason, isn't as frustrating.

My favourite Costco location not only because it’s close to home but it rarely has long lines there is always lots of cashiers. They always have stock on the items we need. Parking is descent. They have a Liquor store and gas bar. Basically all Costco has to offer at this location has been a great experience so far.
