I love this store! Reading some reviews it’s laughable that people give a low review because “someone wasn’t following the arrows”, or “someone told them they weren’t following the arrows”, that has nothing to do with the store or their service, this is happening at every store. The staff here is great and I have seen the same employees working here for the years that I’ve been going there, which to me means they are being treated well as employees. I would shop there any day over the big stores with frills!

We've gone to this no frills for years. The cashiers are very friendly and the rest of the staff are very helpful to find you anything you need. Lines are pretty quick and food is fresh. The parking lot is pretty easy. Prices are often among the lowest in town. They also have an online ordering system which doesn't seem to work very well.

They do have a couple older women with nasty attitudes which forces us to use self check-out sometimes. Sad - if these old ladies don't like their jobs they should do something else for work.

They put things on sale and take advantage of older people as the sale only applies when you buy 3 and the price tag has the sale price in big bold numbers.... but in tiny letters that you can barley see without basically pressing your nose to the label... you finally see... "buy 3 or more" ..... why do that? Just a terrible tactic to take advantage of customers...

As an average size store, as far as No Frills is concerned, there is an average product line. In terms of its competitors, for example the Belleville store, some things are limited or non-existent. The Asian section is sparse. I was hoping, for a city this size with a diverse cultural population, there would be a greater selection. Their selection of coffee and other products was very disappointing. The staff, however, is very friendly and helpful. It is also disappointing to note that a greater than average number of shelves were empty. The checkout line seemed to move quickly. Something I had difficulty to conceptualize is the fact that big carts were not allowed in the self checkout line. This would have greatly lessened the burden on the other staffed checkouts. In conclusion, Chris and Beth's No Frills is an average store that is clean and well maintained. I would return, and have, for certain items. The prices and quality of goods are comparable to other chains.

They are in the middle of renovating the store at the moment and the selection of product is somewhat limited. I also just purchased some immatation crab meat and never noticed until I was home that 1 package expired in October and 1 in November (today is Dec 16, 2018). That was disappointing, for the cost its not worth me returning it to the store. My advice is check your expiry dates before putting it in your cart.

Happy they actually had the gluten free buns I went for in the natural food section for once! It has typically not been able to stay stocked with the items they want to carry so it has been increasingly frustrating trying to buy products from a store that can not seem to ever have the items in stock adding more stops to an already long list when trying to find gluten free items that are actually palatable! Try going gluten free and see how easy it is and then add the frustration of stores not having items in stock....expensive and frustrating as all heck!

Location, price, assortment and service are four important considerations when choosing a good store. Gord and Kim's No Frills does very well on the first factor being located along Bath Road, Bayridge Drive and Coverdale Avenue. Price is met with lots of sales, a wide range of the low priced No Name brands and bulk pricing on several items. On assortment, it doesn't offer a wide range of brands and on service, you pack your own bags. However, the first two most important factors bring lots of shoppers and it's a busy store. Just remember to bring a 25¢ coin if you expect to use a shopping cart although you get it back once you return the cart.

A number of years ago I left my keys inside my locked car, one of the owners came out to try to help me retrieve the keyes, I felt that was a very kind thing to do. The guy at the door wouldn't let me in because I refused to mask my daughter who wasn't yet 2. And the law by public health is children 2 and under so not need to wear a mask. Not only did I tell him she wasn't yet two so did two strangers who were also waiting to get in. It also says right in the sign in the door 2 and older need to wear a mask... Absolutely disgusted, and have never run into this issue shopping here in the past or at any store since the pandemic started. I won't ever come back here again

Recently renovated, much more spacious and clean feeling. Fresh produce selection was good, I wish they had a deli meat counter but they've got everything else. This grocery store is ok. Like the name states "No Frills". The place is clean and you can get a large variety of food products. They have a large selection of international food wich is fine and I like to try new products from different countries. The cash lady was not particularly friendly and couldn't muster up a thank you for shopping here and have a nice day. The prices are fair and competitive for this region.

So I purchased chicken thighs on Wednesday, checked them Friday night 2 days before the due date, took them back with one day to go as they were rotting. Note this was day 4 of their being "packages"/ wrapped. Policy is not to replace meat but just refund price so be warned. I will not be buying fresh chicken or fish as my actual experience indicates you will not get what you purchase at least at the quality or price you think. I spend an extra two hours driving back and forth to replace this rotting meat as we have guests coming. Won't be back for any fresh meat, staff person said 3 days was too long to keep in fridge (I grew up on a chicken farm, don't think so).

No frills at Coverdale drive charged me for an item that I never purchased. They have done it numerous times before. In most cases, I have noticed it at the store and had the cashier reverse the charges. This time, since I was in a hurry, missed the charge for an item that I never bought. I noticed it after I came back home. I went back the next day and asked them to refund the amount. The manager refused to do it and on top of that wanted me to explain how this error could have happened. She insisted that this situation never occurred ever and under no circumstances the cashier could have done such mistake. I shopped there for the last 16 years , but after this incidence, have vowed never to shop there again. The WORST customer service I have ever seen. Do not shop here. There are lots of other grocery stores.

I use the pharmacy regularly and I have to give a big koodos to Darlene and Sanjay in particular, don't get me wrong though because all of the pharmacy staff are AMAZING!!! However, Darlene and Sanjay take the brunt of my phone calls and unrelenting questions, sometimes I really don't know how they put up with me...I'm not rude, just constant calling and they also have to try and deal with my pain Dr's assistant (not much of an assistant). They always have a smile and happy greetings ????. I love this pharmacy, and I switched over from Costco (they have lower dispensing fees, but not the quality of service I get from these staff members) if they are due, or upcoming for a raise, please don't hesitate, their value is 10 fold...seriously!!!

Back to normal under lockdown. No one at the door enforcing social distancing/how many ppl entering/hand washing right off the hop. There was no one there so no one was sanitizing any carts or anything. Then no one was enforcing social distancing and stopping people from going the wrong way all the way through the store. It was a pretty terrible shopping experience for me. Then we get to the cash. No sanitization in between people and then the next person after us starts loading the moment we payed. 100% the worst place to shop in kingston during a lockdown. Im a high risk person and i was very uncomfortable with everyone ignoring the provincial lockdown orders.
