Been using Kelowna bugman for 25 yrs. But since founder Bruce left the service has been more than disappointing. This morning a tech was sent to do perimiter ant spray and evaluation of crawl space where some droppings had been seen. When i asked if he a flashlight he said his phone was pretty good but it was difficult to see well holding a phone and taking his sunglasses off and on. When questioning his knowledge seem little or nil.The lack of proffesionalism was full display by tech and company he represents.Bugman Kelowna. When spraying just blasted everywhere he did not want to make the effort because of getting a little dirty, the heat or take off sunglasses or light on his phone .It was quite a inconvenience for him to get a little dirty so spray wild. When asked if the work was gauranteed He said 1 shot deal. $193.00 for 30 min spray. Was unable to evaluate droppings in crawl space. Going into the garage which they use to walk outside and in and spray inner and outer perimiter at base of garage . Watching how he did not want to go alongside the garage because the bush might scratch his legs of course he was in shorts ..he sprayed from a distance. I Examined the garage behind the front door a large nest of ants with eggs and wings which i carried away with a shovel completely missed by him. The basement which is always done was also missed completly missed and me worried about the crappy job he was doing forgot to tell him. After he left..i crawled into attic space where he had been standing, found dead bat 24 inches from where he was standing . The tech with lack of knowledge and experience and proper equipment was unable to do the job. After calling the company and explaining what they missed to a machine .No return phone call or effort to make things right. The Bugmans uniform consisted of shorts,sunglasses,running shoes ,cell phone for a flashlight.The lack of knowledge . Brutal service and was way over priced for what they provide. The CHEMICALS when the tech was asked he could supply no information on site or PHAMPLETS explaining what they use very poorly trained. And how could you believe them anyways? That it's safe for pets and people. The customer has no way of knowing whats the truth with this quality of work and lack of proffesionalism. The only recourse is to write a review of my experience with the Kelowna Bugman After using this company for 25 yrs its very clear it has become a cash grab . Will not grab anymore of my cash.????

I am only rating this 1 star because I cannot rate 0 stars! I had booked a simple inspection for a house I was planning to buy. I had called 7 days ahead of time to book this appointment. When the day came around for the inspection to be done I got a call 10 mins before the inspector was to be there just to tell me he cannot make it out for another 2 hours he was stuck across town. I let the inspector know we booked this 7 days ago we needed this done and only had this day to do inspections before subjects on the home were to come off. He didn't seen to bothered by it at all. No apology or nothing meanwhile I had my husband waiting around all day at the house waiting for this guy! the inspector didn't seem to care at all that he had broken his contract why make appointments ahead of time take the appointment but unable to make it and let the customer know 10 mins before the end of his scheduled appointment. We waited from 3-5pm waiting for him! May be reasonable and cheap on price but terrible with customer service and booking!

Downhill Lunatics

This place is fantastic. Unfortunately I have had a pretty pesky ant problem in my house. Luckily they have been localized to the kitchen only, and haven't really traveled much from there. I don't mind killing ants, but the problem was that no matter how many I killed, they kept coming back, in force. And they smell terrible! Well we called the bug man and one of their techs came out the same day and applied a spray throughout the house that has been extremely effective in killing the ants. About 3 weeks later however I notice a ton of ants moving about throughout the house in spots that weren't sprayed.. smart little buggers. Anyway I made a call and within 10 minutes the same tech came out and sprayed again. Well guess what, these ants found ANOTHER spot to travel throughout the house, so I called again and the SAME tech came out again and sprayed every inch of the house. The tech is extremely friendly, and literally lives a block from my house. He has come over on his days off to help us and never charged us. Fantastic people. Keep up the good work and keep killing them bugs!!!

Hired BugMan due to finding a mouse in our house. Although the service was professional, they simply just placed some traps in the house and didn't inspect the house to determine how mice were getting in. Their traps were in place for several weeks but the technician said, each time he checked the bait traps, that there was never any signs of mice eating the bait in their traps. At the end of the contract period, they took the traps away and that was it. We have continued to hear and trap the odd mouse on our own. Wasn't a good use of our money as there is obviously still an entry point in the house that was never looked for and there are still mice in the house. Our house was built in 2006 so it's not like it's an older house with many possible entry points in cracking foundations, floors, etc.

Watched as the bugman Volkswagen beetle drove past an anti-abortion protest honking and cheering them on. Extremely unprofessional to do in a company car. I wouldn't recommend using this service simply because of this blatant disrespect for their own company.

Gavin Nixon is an awesome Bugman! He has cleared interior and exterior spiders and ants both in our basement and atop our deck. He pointed out and removed plus deterring the future presence of three dangerous spiders living right inside our basement. He also revealed to us a family of carpenter ants that we had not known about that could have had our deck headed for serious problems. We appreciated his service. He is a great worker and very friendly!

Quite aside from the regular treatments, there were several times when they went "over and beyond." This included dealing with termites in very short order with Richard even making a quick dash back from the lower mainland especially to help us. More recently Lorne has been the one who comes to our house and the excellent service has continued under his watch. We feel most fortunate.

Had a wasp nest that was becoming quite a nuisance. Being that it was on the 2nd story behind the eaves, I didn't want to bother trying to eradicate it myself. I called Bugman and found them to be great to deal with. Call answered prompty upon initial contact and they were able to have one of their techs come out the next day. Seemed very knowledgeable and solved our wasp problem, which was the most important thing. I would recommend their services to others facing a similar issue with wasps (or other bugs for that matter).

I don't enjoy writing this review but must as I was very disappointed with the customer service. I had an appointment set up at a home where I do their maintenance and it takes me a half hour to get there. I arrive there 10 minutes early and then see a message has been sent 10 minutes prior that they won't be able to make it. Okay set up another appointment at 8 in the morning which I thought would be impossible to miss. Nobody there at 8:30 so I message the tech, no reply. I phone the tech, no reply. I phone the fellow I had originally talked to, no reply, message box is full. Finally around 10 o'clock I got through to the original gentlemen whose mail box had been full. He apologized but didn't know what had happened to the tech. Shortly after got a message from the tech saying he was stuck out at a cabin some place the night before. Realized meeting me wasn't their biggest priority. I realize things come up but let me know and give me some notice. Found another company who promptly met me.
