Simon was so helpful, we have an ant issue in our upstairs bathroom, we also have 2 cats and don't want to move them out for 4 hrs while they spray all the baseboards, so Simon sugested that they come and do bate stations for now, and if we still see the ants, they can come back once the weather warms up and spray, that way we could all vacate to the sunroom for 4hrs cats too!! The Exterminators provided excellent service in every aspect from beginning to completion. Simon was professional and straight to the point setting realistic expectations with great follow-through. On the day of extermination, Logan showed up with a ‘let’s roll up our sleeves and gather these little pests’ attitude. I was extremely anxious at having experienced sightings and sadly, I was in trauma mode. Logan was calm and matter of fact with a reassuring tone that he would do all he could to remedy the situation. After the 1 month mark, I contacted The Exterminators again looking for reassurance that my problem had been dealt with and Simon was so kind to send Logan back out to re-inspect my property and give me the peace of mind I was looking for. Logan went over and above and also identified some potential ant issues and suggested some resolutions. I wish I had called Simon at Wildlife Shield first instead of using another company. I spent a fair sum to rid my house of squirrels, but they found their way back in. Turns out the previous company missed an opening which Wildlife Shield spotted right away. They sealed it up quickly in the same visit for a quarter of the cost and it's been peaceful ever since. We have been plagued by clothing moths for many years. After trying to manage and control the pests ourselves with no success, we decided to give The Exterminators a call. They were diligent, reassuring, professional. Inspection was prompt, treatment was thorough, and I greatly appreciated their warranty. I had them back for a second treatment due to a reoccurring of clothing moths which was of no cost to me because of the warranty. With pheromone traps set up to monitor results I do believe the moths are gone after that second treatment (with the first treatment knocking out 95% of the population). I'm very happy with the service and will likely go to them again for any other pest related issue I have in the future.

First of all, I called about a very disturbing rat infestation on a holiday expecting a call the following day, but to my surprise, they reached out within an hour. The next day, we were visited by a friendly Professional who made a very thorough inspection both interior and exterior. He was very informative, factual and helpful. No scare-mongering, but educational and factual. He set to work immediately setting up the first pass of traps. All the while, I knew exactly what to expect in terms of cost, so no surprises. We were able to plan for the second step, again, very clear on costs which were quite reasonable, and the Exterminator contact went out of his way to insure that I understood each part of the process. The second step went even more smoothly and the house is now sealed up in places I didn't even know were there! Clearly, the experts know exactly what to look for. I am confident that I will get a satisfactory answer when I call with a question, and they are polite, pleasant and patient with answers. We've all got enough to handle with Covid, so being invaded by rodents was one problem too many. We called a local company but they did very little and seemed disinterested. Then we called The Exterminators. Total difference. Within hours, Logan was here assessing, helping, explaining and reassuring. They fit us into their schedule to start almost immediately and we have a plan in place. We feel so much better. Expect another review when the work is completed, but so far--speed, customer service, diligence, professionalism--all at a 10.

The Exterminators got the mouse job done quickly with no hassles and were competitively priced. They were so great, we used them again to get the squirrel out of our attic! Working with Simon throughout the process was better than expected. He walked me through the process of what to expect during the inspection and for the actual work. Logan was the mouse guy. He took the time to explain the mouse life cycle, what to look for when tracking mice, how the bait works, and thoroughly answered all of our questions. Logan was very professional and had a clear passion for the job. Chris and Richard were the squirrel guys. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and worked safely during the winter (it was lightly snowing during the roof work). They took the time to explain our options with the applicable pros and cons. Their local knowledge of our area has been insightful and they have employed a variety of custom solutions like sealing cracks, protective vent covers, mesh to prevent entry to the foundation, baiting stations and other methods to address the issues, following an inspection. Their work comes with a two year warranty which is very reassuring.

My partner and I have been really disappointed with the service I’ve received from this company so far. My first treatment for crawling insects on the interior and exterior of my basement apartment was performed at the beginning of September. After that treatment, activity continued. They came back again to do another treatment. I contacted them again after the waiting the amount of time for the treatment to be effective, and activity continued. My second most recent call was met with “well we can’t just keep putting chemicals in your home”. I understand that, but with the amount of money I paid I expected the activity would at least decline but as of right now it hasn’t. I’m worried the warranty will simply run out by the 6 month mark and the infestation will remain. I’ll definitely update this review if the problem is solved, but as of right now I don’t have my expectations set very high.

While the manager is completely unkind and unresponsive. 300 dollars + spent and we still have bed bugs. Services agreed upon and paid for were NOT provided. Don't waste your time.

Our neighbour and i had issues with Rats in the neigbourhood. Since we share a common garden area in front of our townhouses we teamed up together to have the enclosed area rat proofed. One of their people came by to give an inspection of the situation locating the entry points of the rats.......They were prompt in giving us a quote the next day i believe. Signing off on it they came the following day to dig around the parimeter and install metal meshing around the garden, covers for the vents near the ground and also some weep vents too and a one way door for the rats to exit by existing entry point. They came on time and were done in a couple hours........work was neat.They were mineful of the a couple of hedges that were near the parimeter where they had to dig up. Crew was great. Very happy. We have this Squirrel issue in our attic and the company came and put on a cage. However the squirrel kept coming back and chipped on the wood panel of our house that the cage was attached to. The squirrel kept doing this every morning at 5.30am and we couldn't sleep. We called before Civic long weekend but they said that they were too busy and couldn't come. So the whole long weekend we couldn't get enough sleep because the squirrel was at work 5.30am each day. We called this company right after the long weekend and asked them to trap the squirrel and remove it. But they don't do the removal. No reasons given and they just simply won't do it. What is an Exterminator who doesn't remove animal? So now the squirrel is still there bothering us, and in the meantime our property is damaged. Our neighbor had their animal removed by using another company a while back. So we deeply regreted using this firm. This company/Simon, is the guy we spoke to works with WIldlife Shield. And on Wildlife Shield they have stated that they remove squirrels. So we are even more puzzeled why they won't do it. We learnt our experience from this, and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Useless, even though overpriced. Spent $400+ to get rid of mice. Mice are still there and laughing at me. The Exterminators won't return calls or honor warranty. Hired The Exterminators about a year ago when I saw mouse droppings. The sales person was good and adequate. They came and placed some poison. I found some dead mice. Told me the warranty is 6 months. One month after I found more droppings, called them again, they came again and placed more poison, couldn't find where the mice come from. In a month I called them again and again in a month. Every time they'd come and place poison without much thinking of solving the root cause of the problem. On the third visit I (!) showed them (!) where the access to the house could be and sealed it off, it didn't help though... 6 months have passed and now they say I'm out of warranty even though the problem never got solved. Why did I pay for professional "Exterminators" if all they do is place poison, which I could buy at home depot for a couple bucks? Very disappointed with this lack of integrity. In response to the Exterminator's response: this is NOT true. My problem never seased to exist, I just "ran out of warranty time" with mice dying on regular basis. Which means you haven't identified the root cause of the problem (which was your main selling point). Thus you have NOT delivered what you were paid for. Also I did NOT have the problem for some time - I just bought the house. And I did NOT try off-the-shelf poison. If you care about your image, doing a proper job will get you much farther than trying to distort the facts. I'm not bitter, I'm just very disappointed to a point of surprise. You know my number, if you'd like to actually do it. I'd then gladly update my review.

Richard came to our house and did an inspection of our property where he not only identified a rodent issue but also found a skunk den. He was very knowledgeable and provided some discrete steps to help get to the bottom of our issue. I live in a Victorian house in downtown Toronto. Mice are common in the area and that kind of building. When I first saw the animals inside, I called The Exterminators. They scheduled me quickly and arrived on time. They walked throughout the property inside and out and determined where to place bait stations. They did their work quickly and were polite and professional with myself and my tenants. They gave suggestions on other fixes they could do - covering outside vents, repairs to eves, adding outdoor bait stations - but never with a hard sell. A few weeks after the treatment, the mice disappeared. Given the location and age of the house, we sometimes see one or two mice in the fall. When that happens, I call The Exterminators for another treatment and the situation is cleared up. I'll keep using them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The pest control officer arrived on time, went about his work calmly and efficiently. He was cheerful, informative and gave us some helpful hints about how to avoid future problems with hornets and wasps. He was finished in less than an hour and removed all signs of the hornets and their nest from the yard. Without a doubt, we will use this service again if ever we have another insect pest problem. 10 days after the treatment, there are no signs of hornets anywhere in the yard.

Informed him a rat was trapped and said he will come in a few days to deal with it so ended up taking care of it myself. At the end $400 for 1 visit that I felt I could have done myself by ordering the same traps on Amazon for a fraction of the costs. Still dealing with the issue and tried to up sell on other services. Waste of time and money.

The Exterminators really know what they are doing. I had a rat in my house, and mice. Three other exterminators came. They couldn’t tell where the rodents were coming in. Basically, they installed traps (one installed poison which i later learned could have been a catastrophe) and conveyed that I should cross my fingers and hope that the rat would be caught. They said not to worry, there wasn’t sign of a lot of activity. Except two weeks later the rat was still in my house. Fortunately my neighbor recommended The Exterminators. They looked everywhere around the house and found several potentially problematic spots. They presented me with a strategy, and options. It all made sense and reflected a lot of experience and knowledge. I went with the most extreme option but the consultant from The Exterminators never pushed that. He was honest and told me what I was choosing to do was extreme in terms of protection but that was my choice. A few weeks later, there are no signs left of the rodents and I am very happy. The consultants from The Exterminators were always here at the time that they had promised. They were very competent and kind. I have dealt with rodents at my cottage so I am somewhat familiar with the issues. It is clear to me that The Exterminators are much more competent than most exterminators on the market.

No Real Service- Charged over $400 I have been battling for over a year with a pest in my attic. I went to two other companies before this one. First one because their specialty was wildlife, they couldn't help me. They returned my money. I went with another pest control company who inspected and set bait but they couldn't find what was making the noise in my walls. As a last resort I tried this company. I explained my situation in detail cause I was hesitate to throw more money at the problem without real solutions. I have never seen anything in my home, but noises in the wall and signs outdoors of rat/mice action. They assured me they were specialists and not only would they fix the problem, but keep coming until fixed. Well...NO...when they came they placed bait in the home(not needed)charged me extra for baiting the outside of the home(apparently the price did not include outside baiting???)and overall increased the cost on the spot from that given over the phone. The salt in the wound was being told the service was only for 6mos, not a year like to first two companies! I called again as after a month I was still hearing the creature in my walls. They sent someone else out but because he found nothing...I got no service. I explained the animal is active at nights and they come first thing in the morning?I was told they would discuss and come back with a plan and thermal cameras. Its been three weeks and NO CALL BACK. I do not recommend this company because nothing they said was honoured!

I had received a quote from a different company but when the work was to be done i was given a higher amount. The quote did not reflect the amount with applicable taxes. I did not have this company do the job; fortunately this led me to getting in contact with Simon from WILDLIFE SHIELD. I explained my situation with Simon; he was professional, very polite and honest. The process was explained; Simon sent someone that same day. When Thomas assessed the job and gave me the complete quote (taxes reflected in the quote) the relief was overwhelming. The work was completed and Thomas explained how’s and whys of the work he had done. Both Simon and Thomas were professional, patient, very informative and TRANSPARENT; there were no hidden costs or attempt to beef up the cost of the job. The quote given and the total cost were the same $519.80. The other company's quote was $1010.00 and their total cost $1141.00 (taxes added on after the quote was given). In my opinion Simon, Thomas and the company WILDLIFE SHIELD are honorable and care about the people they service and the wildlife involved. We recently moved into a very old house where we discovered a major rat problem in the crawl space. Richard went above and beyond and solved an issue I didn’t think was possible. He cleaned out the entire space and disinfected, then completely sealed off the entire floor and walls and the rats are completely gone. It was a big job but well worth the money. The initial phone call with Simon was very professional, he explained the process that would be involved, the charge, and what to expect on that day. On the day of the site visit to do the wasp process, the technician was friendly and he too explained what to expect on the day of the service. After he completed the work, he outlined the expectations over the next few days and what to observe over the coming weeks (that it should be resolved). He had a mobile machine in order to pay for the service which was convenient. It was a good experience and seamless process. Deck removal We used the company to remove an old ground level deck in our backyard. The job involved digging up and removing 14 deep concrete footings. The job was started about a week after we booked the work, which met the needs of our schedule. The team were quite professional and did the job efficiently. The technician that came out found holes on the outside of the house that mice used to come indoors. He closed all those areas off for us. We were unlucky enough to have a raccoon ripping up our brand new roof, days after installation. In a panic, I made call after call to pest control/wildlife removal companies. A few days of calling and after a couple of weeks of drunk and disoriented roaches who were either dead and dying no additional infestation. I will use them again Without hesitation and their onsite exterminator was a wealth of knowledge - clean and well organized and gave me suggestions to limit future exposure. Hey, I had a bad problem with rats around my house and in my house and called The Exterminators. They responded immediately and sent Richard out, who is very knowledgeable and professional. They sealed off my house, put traps up and put bait stations outside. This has been a few months ago now and there has not been anymore evidence of rats coming from the outside. Unfortunately there seems to be another problem of them coming in from the sewer system now, but I did not hesitate to call The Exterminators again, because I know I can trust them and they will get rid of the problem and come back until the problem is solved. I have used another exterminator company before, but their work does not compare to The Exterminators.
