Technician (Rick) came and was very professional. Had a look and located raccoon entry point and squirrel entry point. he provided a one way raccoon flap and and one way squirrel gate and installation was professionally done. The bad taste in my mouth (ad sole reason for 3 stars) was the cost.... $750 + Tax for labour and the 2 items (checked retail cost of items and it was approx $130). I was quoted $375 to deal with squirrels and $375 to deal with raccoons in advance but was told this included trapping and removal..... Hope the installed equipment does the job....Or a 3 star rating may be excessive.

We had carpet beetles in my house due to some dried fish we got from a market. It was in our kitchen cabinets and also in the panels around the kitchen we first noticed them on the kitchen floor and realised we needed to call a pest control company. Essen was very professional and offered to conduct the treatment 3 more times if we experienced the problem again. All the beetles died in the first 2 days and we have not had to call them again. but if we see any, we are happy to here that we can call them again at no cost. THE STUFF ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY.

I brought Essen a mice problem. The first contact person sounded kind and friendly. Since she tried to help me reducing my worries, I decided to order a job. I had a good impression of the technician aw well. (experienced, knowledgeable, speedy etc.) I was advised to clean the areas where their droppings were found and see how it goes. Which we followed. After 9 weeks, I found droppings behind the cabinet in the dining again . I immediately emailed the company, when another lady K replied: "Can you please clean those droppings and check for another week and let me know, I suspect they are old droppings. Thanks" before making sure of my story. I thought K was rude. Sounds like we ignored the technician's advice and neglected to clean those droppings, then have lived with them for 9 weeks... The same technician came over again checked thoroughly. He explained that they are actually new droppings (because they are not dry but rather moisture...) but it's a good sign. Which means they ate 'bait' and are disappearing. They won't come back. Other mice would sense (this phenomenon) I think the administrator (receptionist) should also be trained with some basic knowledge of pest-control and have manners.

We are blown away with their professionalism and great value. We hired them back in May 2019 when we bought our new place. They came on time and informed us of a few spots a mouse could come in. They put a few traps and followed up weeks after. A few months later, we redid our basement and found a few drops that turned out to be dry ones. Called them back as they had the 6 months guaranteed. They came as promised and confirmed that those were old droppings. Put a couple more traps for just in-case and it has been almost a year now, we haven't had any mouse. Pretty impressed with their quality of work and punctuality. The guy who came to our place was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will be hiring them again for any pets issues in our future properties.

I do not recommend this company. We used them for bed bugs (and I still have them months later). This company does not provide any guidance, inspection, or information on how to properly prepare your home for bed bugs and the spray. There is no "aftercare" and no one to ask ongoing questions of. They did not spray individuals drawers or even look at the kitchen/bathroom. Find a company that will help you through this horrendous process so you do not have to do it twice. This company is trying to make a quick buck and does not care about trying to remove the pests from your home.

I just want share my disappointed experience with this business. I hired them to clean wasp nest. they gave me discount price $150(usually $200). The technician came and he said he cleaned it. Actually he didn't, he just spray some chemical to repel wasp temporarily. After 2 week my tenant told me the wasp still there. I called the office. The lady said 2 weeks is longer enough for another wasp family move in. I asked her send technician to check. I was waiting them from 3PM to 5PM. No one showed up. I called them again. They said it was too high to clean it totally.... conclusion: 1. They are not an honest business. They will lie. 2. They are not professional. They say they can clean wasp. But they can't 3. They use lower price to attract customer. I suggest to hire professional company to get help. I use $150 to buy a lesson.

My home was overrun by bees. I called Essen pest control and they came quickly. They sprayed something, I never did find out what, told me to stay out of the house for a few hours and said that would take care of the bees. Later that day I asked if I could plug the hole where the bees were coming in and he told me I should and putting my trust in the experts I did as they advised. Two days later not only were the bees were still in my house they were angry and attacking. They stung a 7 year old child half a dozen times and left him terrified of his own house. Now this is not my area of expertise in any way but while I suspect that the spray might have worked on ants cockroaches and any number of creepy crawlers it now seems that bees must be handled differently. Now perhaps I can give them the benefit of the doubt perhaps they truly did not know but if that's the case they should have admitted they didn't know and referred me to someone else rather than taking my money and leaving. After that experience I was hesitant to call anyone else but I didn't have a choice. I called Paramount pest control. Best decision I ever made. David came and unplugged the hole I had been told to plug. That any pest controller would know not to plug the hole. He explained you should use powder not spray on bees. He said to be safe I should be out for 24 hours not 3 hours. He stayed until midnight going through every hole of my house looking for bees and then airing it out. Safety for my home and my family was his number one concern. He even said if there were still bees in the house the after 24 hours that he would pay for another night at the hotel. I honestly don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found Paramount Pest Control. Thank you David for putting my family's safety above all else. There are no words to express our gratitude.

Six months ago today, I phoned Essen after hearing an animal in a crawlspace. Friendly people. Their guy looked around our house and concluded we had mice. I told him we had ‘had’ mice, but that the noise I had just heard must have been an animal much bigger than a mouse or a rat. I even showed him the hole I thought the creature had used to enter. He told me he hadn’t seen any evidence and, with my permission, proceeded with mouse poison. It did nothing to solve the problem. After hearing the animal again a few days later, I phoned Essen again. They wanted to charge me money to come and install some cages. I then phoned Abell Pest Control. They quickly rid us of our intruder: a squirrel. Abell also followed up. Essen didn’t.

I was initially pleased with the service; we had a hornet nest at the peak of our roof. I called them and within a couple days they sent someone to remove it. After removing it he sprayed something in that spot and assured me they shouldn’t return. Now, two weeks later there is another hornet nest being built in the exact same spot. I called and they said they would have to charge us again. What’s the point if you have to pay $200 every two weeks to have hornet nests removed? Go with a company that provides a guarantee with their service.

I called Essen services for a wasp problem along my roof edge. While they could not guarantee the service they assured me an "expert H technician " would evaluate the situation and provide appropriate treatment. When he arrived he simply sprayed poison from a gun without even bothering to get on a ladder to inspect the roof. I questioned the whole procedure but was assured the "poison would last for 2 weeks".. 6 days later the problem is as bad as ever. What a waste of money!!! Don't bother with these guys ( at least for flying insects)...!

I have Essen pest control come into my house for bed bugs. They came twice, charged a large amount of money and told me they had a 30 day guarantee. 26 days later I have bed bugs again and they are refusing to return my emails or calls to have them come spray again. Don't use them.

Hired them for a squirrel removal last year, I had to continue to follow up for them to remove the oneway door. was completed in Dec. That following spring the squirrel again removed the mesh which they installed. They would not honor there work. Had someone else come out which indicated the mesh that was used was to thin, and redid all the holes and found other areas which he fixed as well. If you charge over $500 to install a oneway door then take 4 months to finish the work, at least honor the work you did..

The gentleman who came to my house was precisely on time and finished his work quickly. Moments after he sprayed we started to see wasps coming out of hiding and falling dead to the ground. Great job!
