I'll be honest. I don't live in this area but I do visit this store every other month or so. I use the parking lot while I'm at my appointment and then purchase my groceries there to pay my way. I'm a regular at the Save On in Langford though and am a fan of both stores. I used the washroom last week and found it to be reasonably clean. The food is fresh and there are plenty staff members if you require assistance with your shopping. The parking lot is huge and access and egress are simple. Prices are fair and savings are plentiful if you have a rewards card.

Ok so we have been on the road for 10 days. Whitehorse was our designated place to re-stock. This Save On Foods did not disappoint!! It had everything we needed, well stocked, open and inviting, clean, and friendly staff!!

It has better cheaper options that Safeway, they will special order for you, Safeway says no without even checking, save on foods doesn't see why not, also the meat is fresher, with better deals.. I can barely even talk about Safeway meat without getting grumpy, better bulk and ethnic food... Safeway has more square footage with less variety

It's a good store, not Save-On's best, but not their worst, either. It's clean, well stocked and the staff are pretty friendly.They have a sandwich bar where one can grab a quick snack and a Tim Horton's (sadly) where one can pick up some warm brown liquid. Lunch time can be a little busy with the high-schoolers coming in to grab a quick lunch and coffee-like beverage.

This is the best Save-On-Foods in Victoria. I am impressed by the store's obvious commitment to offer their customers, a vast selection of products that aren't necessarily available in other local grocery stores. The prepared food section of the store offers salads, soups, sandwiches, fried foods, such as chicken and potato wedges, Chinese food, sushi, and whole roasted or bbq'd chickens. The store is very clean and well organized. They offer competitive prices on many items. Weekly sales are noted in their flyers which can be found online as well as in some newspapers. The store is accessible by wheelchair, and the parking is free.

Its big. There are lots of produce. Yes, I prefer this to other large grocery chains but also like the opportunity to shop local at my smaller independent grocers like Tomley's Market or Old Farm Market. Price are very reasonable and the sales are often better than other locations. Fresh produce is decent. I never understood the price descrepencies between the organics section and other aisles - same item in both but the tag is for more in the organics? Mentioned it to staff but it wasn't changed. Could use a cheesemonger as the selection is poor.

This is very well stocked store with a good variety of items. I am new to town and it has been nice to be able to just rely on this one store for all our needs. The staff has been really helpful and friendly when needed. Special shout-outs to the chatty cashier from Newfoundland that let me know about the pineapple and lime Crush from the east coast and Jocelyn in pharmacy who was super patient, nice and helpful when I was switching my prescriptions from another pharmacy on a Sunday morning. Since I work from home I don’t get to interact with people in person very often and trips to this store are a highlight of the week.

Pretty standard as far as Save On Foods stores go. The produce is usually pretty fresh and the meat quality is great. One concern is I find expired or very near (same day) expiring items on the shelves far more often than other stores in town, which should not happen. Nothing worse than getting home and realizing you need to make a trip back for a return on an expired item.

Save-On is the only place I shop for groceries now (and for the past few months), because they, and their customers, do whatever they can to keep us all safe. The seniors' shopping hour in the morning is also hugely appreciated, and is when I usually do my shopping.

3 stars because they still maintain most standards of other Save On Foods, but a lot of the staff at this location are a bit older & every time I go in to shop I get profiled by some of the older employees. Couple months ago I went through self checkout, but the item didn't scan for the shelf price. I looked to the attendant (older lady) and she ignored me completely while I stood there waiting. I was going to be late for work, so I left the item at self check and went to grab something else. When I came back she confronted me and accused me of being a thief. I purchased my 2 items and left angry. If I can help it, I'm not shopping at this location anymore because of constant profiling of my appearance. I am offended and disgusted by this behaviour and poor customer service.

Great sortiment of European sausage in rhe Deli section, if you ask they will pack it for you in brown paper instead of plastic. The only place in Quesnel to buy Avalon milk! Nice and freah sortiment of flowers. Free pieces of fruit for the kids (I love it!). The only place in town to buy German bread from the Lac LaHache Bakery.

We flew into Yukon for a small getaway and this place was a lifesaver! We were staying in a cabin and had to organize our own food - so knowing that we could get everything from Save On's was just perfect for us. They have a lot more Indian-favorite snacks like Kurkure and Maggi noodles, which came as a surprise to us! The place is HUGE and has pretty much everything you need, at the competitive prices you'd expect. Happy to have found this away from home.

I am giving the store a one star rating for their Covid19 procedures. I was in there today and there was a lady not wearing a mask. I asked the lady where her mask was, she stated “for medical reasons she didn’t have to wear one” I responded then you have a doctors note for that. She said “No” Nobody from the store asked her for her doctors note as it is painfully obvious that nobody wanted a confrontation with her. The other obvious thing is why wasn’t she wearing a shield if she can’t wear a mask? I am immune compromised and idiots like her and lack of leadership from management make it far more difficult for me to shop here. Also I used to see the carts regularly sanitized but I don’t see that happening either.

Pretty standard grocery, prices were middle of the line. The store is small but has the layout and feel of a larger store, very organized and easy to find what you need. Narrow aisles that are better suited to quick or shopping alone. Avoid bringing large herds of children, youre going to annoy people. Staff is friendly and the produce section is a good size, the deals are also excellent. If youre local the rewards system is certainly worth checking out.

This location has the friendliest staff and is pretty much always stocked with what I am looking for, even late in the day. I had a great online ordering experience here as well even though an item was missing they happily handled it quickly and professionaly.

I just came to this store for first time and unaware of save on card system, guess what! The front guy did not ask me whether I have the card or not. So, they charged me on the items that I thought were on sales. When I asked them what’s going on they then offered me to get card and get the real price????. If you don’t know ,they might not tell you and sell their expensive products. It makes no sense why they should have done this way of marketing. Even after discount products are overpriced.

This was our first visit. Clean, bright, well laid out store. Helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of products. Competitave pricing. We have a person in our household who has celiac disease. The selection of gluten-free products was encouraging, and we can only hope it will expand.

Disappointing. I live across the street and was trying to obtain a 3 week temporary parking spot (they had done this in the past). The new manager said no, they rely on all their parking spots. I explained I would only need it for 3 weeks. He still said no. I live across the street, in my 12 years here I'v maybe seen the parking lot fully full - maybe 3 times? So it's pretty disappointing a long time customer of this establishment couldn't get a 3 week temporary parking permit when they have the room. Bad customer service

Absolute gong show of a grocery store. Between the high school traffic and the elderly who live nearby it's always a nightmare to navigate. Starbucks and liquor in the same parking lot doesn't help the traffic. Save on in general isn't my top pick and this location is particularly bad.

The store is well kept and attention is paid to detail. Aisles are directional and clearly marked. Entrance doors are open and hand sanitizer is at the entrance. While people wearing masks are not in the majority, most people seem to be respectful about observing the distancing protocols. Food selection is good, although prices are often not the best.

Store is well maintained/clean and friendly. Their 2 tiered pricing (Save on card) is questionable and not necessary. Seems to be a cash grab for those unaware. Access to their website/weekly flyer is painfully slow and confusing. Not consistent. Usually go to a competitor's Flyer site (like Oxford's) which is fast and easy to understand.
