He is a true detective and will work on a problem until he finds a solution, often returning several times to check that his remedies are working. Neil and Daniel and Sarah provided such great speedy and stress free service to remove a squirrel from my crawlspace. Neil performed a thorough inspection of the perimeter, inside and outside the house, as well as under the deck and in the crawlspace and located an open chimney cap which was the likely entry point. 24h later the squirrel and surprise baby were safely caught in a live trap and relocated to a new home. A no show again today. I left a message to see what was going on. A family emergency I’m told. Completely understandable then. I do wish your family well. Last no show was last year. I thought they would call me to reschedule. I ended up calling them several days later to ask to reschedule. Other clients needed priority I was told. Fair enough. There are pest emergencies. Another time I waited about 4 hours for them to show up. Again, I called to ask hey what’s up Giving me a window of when to expect you rather than an exact time would have been helpful. My issue is I am calling you. Where is the accountability? Today I thought, before I sign up again for another year I should tell them I need a courtesy call if they are not going to show up because yep, getting a wee bit annoyed. Wow, wrong thing to ask Daniel because he fired me! My last comment: a clients feedback is valuable even when it is not praise. Sometimes there is a business opportunity to improve your services.

I had reported my wasp problem to another company who had come twice and sprayed the entrance to the nest in my soffit, which achieved nothing. On Monday the problem had escalated and I was desperate. Several friends recommended I call Marin Pest. He was extremely busy, but might be able to fit me at the end of the day. Otherwise probably not til next week. He got here by mid-afternoon and removed the nest. While he was here a neighbor stopped by and asked him to remove a nest near his hydro connection. Daniel fit him in 2 days later. A friend messaged me in response to a Facebook post I made, she also had wasps, she called Wed afternoon - Daniel fit her in today. All of us were so impressed with the speed and quality of the work. He explained everything to me and did a walkabout before and after to check for other issues. I was not charged until I reported back that there were no wasps returning to the nest site.

Daniel has been fantastic! We initially hired a different pest control company to resolve our mouse issue, however the problem persisted. We called Daniel, he came out right away and found many sources of entry that were missed by the initial company. The nice thing about Daniel is that he does ALL of the work himself. You don’t need to hire a contractor, he seals everything. He also laid traps with a different bait than the other company. Their traps did not catch a single mouse even though our cat and we did. Daniel’s traps regularly caught mice and he was able to determine which generation of mice they were in order to create a plan. He showed up to check the traps and remove the mice without ever needing to be called. If you want the job done properly and solved, we highly recommend Daniel. He is professional and courteous, and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy with the job done.

Marin Pest Management came to us highly recommended by neighbours. We live in an older area of town where most of the homes are >100 years old with lots of cracks and crannies for the critters to gain entry. I can say nothing bad about Daniel, Sarah and the rest of the team at Marin Pest. We purchased our home in the spring and had no idea that there was such bad damage done by pests the previous owners didn't take care of. The Marin Pest team came in, gave us a fair quote for the work that had to be done, and did it in a timely manner so that we wouldn't have any issues. They came and did this work in September/October, we are now into December and have had zero issues with pests. They have checked in to see if everything is okay and truly care about their work and customer satisfaction. We are VERY lucky to have found them and worked with them on this project. We plan to connect with Marin pest every year for check ups to make sure everything is good to and make any updates needed. I cannot recommend them enough.

Have a current company who is not giving me enough options in dealing with a pest issue, and Marin would not even say if they could do more, but instead referred me to Public Health? Public Health does not have anything to do with pest control. Unsure if Marin knows what their job is supposed to be.

I had an absolute urgent need for an exterminator and I simply cannot praise this company enough! They were the second company I called, as the first one didn’t do what I was looking for (rodent in car engine bay). They came out to my address just a few hours after initial contact, and while the rodent was never caught, the problem was still taken care of by continuous and very thorough investigation and multiple attempts, and various ways of figuring out what to do. I hope I’ll never have the need for an exterminator again, but if I ever do, I will call Marin Pest first thing. We weren't in Kingston for more than a couple of days before we entered our new home to discover the house was riddled with mice. It was disqusting!! Upon further inspection we discovered we had bees in our walls and the list goes on. The previous homeowners had left is with a huge mess. What a terrible way to start a new chapter in a new city. Some companies never responded, some had little or no knowledge of what we could expect but Sarah at Marin pest control was able to walk me through step by step exactly what to expect and how much it could cost. Not only that, she followed up with us and bent over backwards to fit us in their extremely busy schedule. When Neil arrived to check out the problem, he was extremely friendly, professional and thorough. He took the time to teach me what to look for and how to prevent things in the future. Daniel was so great. We had a flea issue from a previous tenant in our apartment and Daniel came on a short (within 24 hours), something that no other company was willing to do. He went step by step with us through the entire process and also frequently communicated every few days to see how we were doing and how the apartment was. Since fleas are very stubborn pest and hard to get rid of, they didn't completely leave on the first application (which Daniel had already warned us about), we asked to come back and he kindly did a second application, which took care of the problem. Exemplary in every way! There should be more stars! Daniel earned my highest recommendation while dealing with squirrels in my attic. It wasn't a simple removal; it was quite a challenging situation for Daniel to block the opening due to very limited access between my house and my neighbour's. He came up with a creative way to get to the problem area and it required great physical stamina to get the area sealed on a cold January day. The challenge continued with getting the trapped squirrels out but Daniel was determined and maintained daily contact over a few days, including evening check-ins and live-trap setting. Victory has been declared with the successful removal of 2 squirrels and no new visitors! Daniel is a very dedicated, knowledgeable and skilled pest management professional. His respectful, friendly manner and wonderful sense of humour were very much appreciated. Had a bit of wasp issue, looked to be starting to build a nest behind a window frame, Daniel did a really thorough outdoor spray, have barely seen any since and a huge reduction of wasps from last summer! Two weeks before our wedding, we had a rodent issue. After calling 5 different companies, Marin Pest Management Inc. was the only number that did not send me to an answering machine. Daniel answered the phone and began asking questions about the rodent problem: has this problem occurred before, when was I available, etc. Daniel arrived at the house the next day after I finished work. He assessed the inside and the outside of the house, Daniel found several nooks and crannies that only a knowledgeable professional would be able to identify (he wasn't lazy), and he created an action plan. He prepared me by informing me that the his plan would take one week to implement. Daniel under-promised and over-delivered. Daniel solved the rodent problem the same day. He returned for two hours the next day to apply the long term preventative measures around the house. He followed up several times, in the spring, summer and recently (in the fall) to assess his plan. He provided my wife and I with some education for natural preventative measures that are easy to implement. Daniel gave us the ideal dimensions to prevent being appealing for rodents while preparing next year's garden. Our home has had no issues since hiring Marin Pest Management Inc.

He is the owner of his company and also the guy who do the work. Top Quality. 3) Very friendly and reliable person to deal with. 4) He also does good masonry work, which is very handy when you need it. I had issues with cracking concrete pads and stairs, never thought I would have a pest control guy repairing it. 5) His work is above and beyond my expectation. Outstanding service all around! Daniel from Marin visited our newly purchased home and went above and beyond to ensure that it is bug and critter free. He was quick efficient, and helped put our mind at ease that our home will be bug/animal free. A few examples - The home is very old and there were a lot of exposed holes at the sides and on the roof. Daniel installed a two way door on the roof sealed any holes, installed metal plating along the rooftop that is barely noticeable. - He sprayed our house inside and out extensively, including thoroughly spraying a very inaccessible crawl space - always made himself available outside business hours to assist us over the phone if needed. Also went out of his way to come by later in the evening if needed - Made multiple return visits to ensure that everything was holding up and that no new bug/critter problems were to arise. - helped us to seal exposed holes in the concrete (for a very generous fee) I would recommend Daniel and will continue to use his services if needed.

I have never felt more motivated to give a business and its owner a higher review than this one for Daniel and Marin Pest. Our 1920'ish home has had for years sporadic problems with rodents, a problem which has stumped two other providers in the past. In the last year it became much worse, involving both mice and rats. Daniel spent hours first inspecting our house, ultimately locating ALL of the points of entry and exit, many of which were in and around the foundation, effectively rendering them impassable. He personally did all of the masonry work required along with barrier screens, and then strategically placed traps in our house, taking care not to place them where they would be accessible to our two dogs. Within a few days and three rodents later, there were no more sounds and no evidence of droppings or bait tampering in the remaining traps. It has now been three weeks, and we have been completely pest-free. Daniel has checked back to do follow-up inspections several times. His knowledge about all sorts of pests is extraordinary and the competence of his work unsurpassed. Moreover, he is both friendly and professional. And... his masonry work was as good as any full-time mason.
