I've literally waited ten minutes and had to wave cucumbers at them. Get it dealt with management. Four stars because of this

Ample parking. Good location. Getting into and out of the parking lot can be tricky. Sobeys has some of the best and weirdest sales in town. They'll decimate the cost of beef or pop or bacon as loss leaders to get you in the store. Take advantage of those sales, as you could save up to half from the next cheapest stores in town. Prices fluctuate like crazy here, both increasing and decreasing on certain items, so it's a good idea to check them out every once in a while and stock up on what's cheap. Also the selection of meats and deli foods is top notch. Best for grocery stores up town.

Sobeys tends to be a nicer shopping experience than Safeway in town since the layout is much more pleasing and organised. The lighting is good which makes it feel less like a department store and more friendly to walk through.

The staff at customer service are quite often abrupt or indifferent to the customer. On day in the past few weeks the staff was very abrupt. As I stepped forward with my order the first greeting I received was, " airmiles?". No hello or other greetings. This was followed by debit or credit? Yesterday when I was in the staff was indifferent. No greeting, busy talking on the phone trying to organize her upcoming break. This is the reason I rarely shop at Sobeys. This store is a 5 minute walk from my home. This is why I go to a different store. Your staff is in dire need of proper training.

Bad experience tonight, was told there no cash tills were open, went to self check out then, airmiles wouldnt work, came to find out a cash till was opened after being told there was none, airmiles didn’t work there, went to customer service and had us waiting for over an hour and still didnt get it to work. Apparently the airmiles to redeem points hasnt worked for a few other people as well, they say its an airmiles problem but if it happened to multiple other people, so it clearly has to be a store/system problem. Been shopping here many years but this is my last visit here today unless something is done about your staff training and the way they greet/talk to people. Barely any tills open whenever we go in, only one was open in the entire store today, normally we don’t see any open at all. I see from other reviews from two years ago that barely any cash tills are open and its still happening today. What is this? Becoming a walmart and not wanting to pay your employees or something? Were shoppers there, not CASHIERS.

Ordered chicken samosas, but they give us veg samosas. When we return them for the correct order, they reheat some old veg samosas and sold us as chicken again. ????.. what's going on.. lol.

Only sour note on my Fathers Day. After walking in to buy snacks and drinks before heading to the big car show down the street we were confronted rather rudely upon leaving as what appeared to be a manager and other employees were extremely bothered about the parking and chasing everyone out of their lot. We werent in your lot nor would we have been in your store if it werent for the car show. Amazing how all the businesses around you managed to embrace this awesome and rare community event and profit from it- paddys was PACKED despite their lot being FULL of car show goers. Get some ceativity and take advantage of the thousands of people walking past or being funnelled into your lot next time instead of just broadcasting to everyone how little you want to be a part of this community. Lesson learned: they have plenty of snacks and drinks at the show so I dont need to stop in next year or any other time for that matter.

Today for third time in two month I have a horrible and humiliating experience in your store, never before a Sobey's employee treat me in a rude manner as the white lady in the bakery, she didn't explain the procedure in place to order a cake (2nd time in two month) and today was the cupcakes, she snatched the cake book and berated me (this is not the first time that she berated me) but the physical abuse is a new low, if you have a Covid procedure in place to order from the bakery, it MUST be display CLEARLY. At this point, I don't know if the problem is my accent or the colour of my skin; never before in my 15 years living in Canada I feel so humiliated and mistreated. It is a shame, since the store is great, the employees are friendly and helpful. I hope this kind of behaviour stop, because my experience the last 3 times there were demeaning and hurtful

Love this store because it is close by, always come here almost 3 times a month but didn’t have the courage to tell this in any of the employee. My complain is they never put the meat in a clear plastic bag during check out, you needed to ask if they can put it in a bag (clear plastic bag). The first time I ask the cashier she point it to me where the bag is and did it myself..????. Other stores they will bag it for you (clear plastic bag) at check out. Lastly, please if you are going to help the customer bagging their groceries please do not mix the meat with the rest of the groceries for sanitation purposes..
