We have renovated 3 homes and used Rona every time. The staff and the management are awesome. They have helped us with every aspect of the renos. One can of paint didn't match the rest that was already painted on the walls and they replaced all the cans with no problem. The manager is absolutely brilliant. He will help with prices, offers and solutions. Always with a smile on his face. This makes our visits like going to see friends and not strangers in the big DIY stores. well done Rona.

Today I've had a very bad experience here . The Cashier name Trisa was so rude, when I said hi, she just answered me by a sharp eyes and said nothing, after scanned my stuffs she just said the number and asked "cash or debit", she threw the receipt on the table and turned her face to other direction without responding when i said thank to her. I was so suprised because of her attitude. It was so bad impression that have never experienced in other store. I was wondering how has RONA Chilliwack trained its saff? What is your tone at the top to be successful in your business if you treat your customers like a scrap? What is your core value here? If RONA staff is caring about their customers by the way Trisa does, it may destroys RONA's creditability.

Curbside pickup service was terrible. The telephone number didn't work (tried 3 times) and there was no answer at the service desk. Finally had to enter the store to pick up the item myself. Staff tried to shift the blame to the customer claiming no phone call was received. Not planning on returning anytime soon. By the way, the item purchased was over $1,000. The most irritating thing was rather than try to solve the problem, staff immediately blamed the customer.

Real go to place when I have to get something for my wood shop. I usually like Rona more than the other big boxes because the staff are typically more knowledgeable about the products they carry. Great place to go if you have questions before you commit and buy something.

On Sunday January 21st I visited the Rona on Old Yale Road in Chilliwack. I was looking for a simple replacement plumbing fitting for a shower faucet installation. I received great customer service from Kris who let me know that the part I was looking for didn’t exist anymore. He spent at least 15 minutes solving my issue and putting together a whole new plumbing solution for me to retrofit my faucet at home. Worked like a charm when I installed his solution. Thank you Kris. You saved me time and money from calling an expensive plumber to solve my issues Chris Rathborne New Westminster

Terrible customer service. I love home depot. If you need something they will walk with you and help you find what you are looking for and answer if you have any questions. In rona first there is no one around so you always have to go back to front and ask for help. Second they just tell you it is in that area so you have to again search by yourself. I wasnt in rona for year because of terrible customer service and went again today. Experience was same. It is absolutely wastage of my time.

Has a turn around so you can pull up your truck and load and drive thru with ease. Open late and everyday accept Christmas and holidays see hours as they will change without notice Friendly staff and professional and if the paint is wrong bring it back Read there return policy it is om the wall by the cashiers you can't miss it. Or just ask happy to help. Make lots of time this is not a place to rush in and out. Heavier traffic on weekends and Thursday and Friday nights. A week before long weekends can be busy so plan well in advance .. Have fun and remember your working on a cool awesome project no need to get stressed this is fun adventure! Bring your smiley happy self..????

Excellent service! First, I phoned to see if items were in stock. The person who answered (Jason?) was so nice & quickly able to check, then give instructions on how to enter the yard, etc. Bought stepping stones & was immediately helped to load. Had lumber cut for a planter. Again, top notch service. I enjoyed my experience at Rona. Even the check out person knew their products and charged the sale price without a tag or me mentioning it. All in all, interacted with four associates, Rona has great customer service.

Had a great experience helping my grandmother pick and purchase a new stove. Knowledgeable staff, that don't push you to buy the most expensive thing. Edit: So I feel like this five star review needed a change. I posted this review 3? 4? months before this edit and my grandma still hasn't received her stove.. Not only that but the communication has been horrible and delivery dates keep getting changed, and then changed again on the day of delivery. Absolutely no excuses for that, honestly. I get that things are backed up an delayed with what's going on in the world but at least have the decency to not continuously cancel on short notice.

Most times the product is in stock. Staff available to help and if they are not familiar with the product, they get someone who is. They are friendly curteous and willing to carry out when needed. This store has a consistent problem with incorrect pricing, specifically with yard items. One price advertised on signs, yet you often pay a higher price at checkout. Today is not my lucky day. Bought 2 sets of products. BOTH prices where wrong. Additionally, they were not capable to apply my contractor discount. Shop elsewhere if you can until they fix this, which may never happen.

In a word, "AWFUL!". I ordered a miter saw online. Received a call the next day from Rona wanting to know if I was interested in a saw that was previously opened. I said no thank you, I want a brand new, unopened saw. I'm happy to wait. About a week later, I got a call from the store saying my saw was in. I drove 30 minutes to the store, picked up what I thought was a brand new saw and drove home. When I unpacked it, I started to realize that this was a display model and the box did not include the dust bag, the wrench, or the clamp. Packed it up, drove another hour (there and back) to return it. I was assured that I would receive a new saw as soon as new stock arrived. Yesterday, I received a call from the store to tell me that my saw had arrived. I couldn't believe my eyes when they presented the same used saw that I had returned. To add insult to injury, when I reached into the box and picked up the manual to point out that it was a photocopy, I dropped it back into the box that was sitting on the floor. The so-called sales rep snotted me off by saying, "you don't have to throw it". I didn't throw it but what I really don't have to do is waste any more of my time dealing with snotty, disrespectful, and incompetent sales staff!

Terrible customer service from Steve!! The moment I brought in a return, he looked at the sealed box and told me that he will have to open it and go through it with a fine tooth comb. He wouldn't take back the return and told me that he would give me a price adjustment as I mentioned that it is on sale at Lowes. He went onto their website and told me that he needs to confirm that it is in stock. After he confirmed that it is in stock, he asked me to drive all the way to Langley for a price correction. I've never had so much hassle with trying to do a return at any other hardware store. Never coming back here.

Worse and terrible Customer Service. I went to the store this afternoon to buy closet doors. Approached a Lady in the section ( Wearing Jean shorts, blonde hair with black streaks tide up and wearing glasses) standing in front of the big garage door from the back side. Approached her, she had no smile , eye contact or initiated any conversation to what I am looking for. Told me next aisle and rolled her eyes and turned her back towards me. I just walked out of the store without buying anything or asking for additional help. I will shop at Home Depot , where they care about customer service and give there full 100% to customers and help selecting product and provide recommendations.

They are not taking returns at this time. Their excuse is “Covid 19”. Lol. What a joke. Canadian Tire and Home Depot are both taking returns. I would not shop at Rona unless you are 100% certain you will not want to exercise your option of returning all or part of your purchase. They do not have a date that this “no return” policy will end so you’re stuck with the product for an undefined amount of time. Better to go to Home Depot or Canadian Tire if you ask me.

The delivery system to the home for BBQS is robbery. I don't have a truck so I needed home delivery. They wanted 70 dollars to just drop it off on my doorstep. Luckily the lady brought the price down a bit. However, I only live about less than 10 minutes from Rona and they wanted 70 dollars. Then when it was delivered I found out they wouldn't place the BBQ where I wanted it as going up a flight of stairs costs extra. And of course assembly would also cost money. I didn't pay for anything but the delivery but it's ridiculous how much they try and take from you. It probably would have been over 100 dollars just to get the BBQ where I wanted it. That's almost half a price of a decent BBQ. The staff was friendly and polite, that is the only reason I didn't give a 1 star. Update, after completing a survey about my experience I was contacted and given an apology and offered a gift card. I appreciate the level of service upper management gave me. Good customer service, but some of their policies are still outrageous.
