I have had weedman look after my lawn for 3 years now and this past year has got to be the most disappointing service yet. My lawn does not look near as good as the last 2 years. I have had to call 3 times to see when certain jobs I paid for were going to be done. The weed control is terrible compared to the last 2 years. I took a bucket of buttercups and other weeds that shouldn't be on the lawn. Not sure if I will continue with them or not.

Stay away unless you are not worried about being charged for what you didn't sign up for. I had the contract signed for $250 but Weedman charged $350 on my credit card. When asked the customer rep said they can't find the contract and asked me to send them an email. Funny that the rep can see all the payments that I have made and all other details of contract except the total amount on contract. After emailing they said I need to contact customer rep through phone and stopped responding. Also, when I asked the rep about cancelling automatic renewal, he kept pushing me to not cancel and finally agreed to cancel but wouldn't send an email confirmation on cancellation. He said it's their policy to not send email confirmations on cancellation although they send contracts by email... Check CBC marketplace video on this company... probably weeds are less harmful to you than Weedman.

The came and sprayed the lawn without telling us or leaving an invoice/statement saying what was put on the lawn. We have dogs and would have kept them off the lawn had we known! They apologized for the error and sent along the bill. Not to mention, the spray did little to eliminate any broad leaf weeds! You are better off to get some organic lawn weed and feed and do it yourself!

My lawn is very shaded and Weed Man is getting it much more lush and green, we cut at 3-4 inches biweekly and rely on rain to keep it watered. Year 2 and we are getting the results. Also Mosquito and Perimeter pest allows me to use my patio in the evening and we have no spiders and insects in the house. :)

This company uses pushy door to door sales tactics, I did give my phone number to the salesman (which is my fault for leading them on, i was not interested but wanted the conversation to end) however i did NOT book an appointment and was NOT contacted before someone showed up and was checking out the property. They told members of my family that I had personally booked an appointment at a set time which is not true. I was told I would receive a text message with additional information and i had no obligation to answer, and nothing would happen if i did not answer. I'm not sure how the lawn care actually is; but before rolling out your estimator i highly recommend calling to confirm with the client to avoid this type of confusion and rubbing people the wrong way.

I contacted this company to help my neighbor who is stranded in NZ due to covid19 restrictions. I was taking care of his lawn that was overtaken by weeds, so suggested to him that something should be done. I explained this in an email to weedman, who must do satellite image search to calculate area and sent me a bill looking for payment. Then a few days later I noticed that a rep from weedman doing a on site estimate that came in far less, and my neighbor decided to go with it. They must have come a few days later and did something, as now the weeds are looking pretty sickly. I wasn't impressed with how they did the first online estimate, should have skipped that and done an onsite estimate in the first place.

We are very pleased with the service from Weed Man Lawn Care, Courtney. We had them provide full service lawn care including thatching and aerating. One part of their service that stands out is monitoring the condition of our lawn. When their technician noticed weeds appearing in mid summer, they set up an appointment by email and dealt with the problem. I’ve asked for extra fertilizer applications and they have always set up an appointment. There are no extra charges for providing these services. It’s included in the annual fee. We will use them again for next season.

Fertilizer application was also done throughout the summer. Services were performed as scheduled but I do not know if that meant at the normal time. Their services definitely improved the condition of my lawn. I did, however, notice a few weeds right next to the driveway and sidewalks after one weed application. The office offered to come out to deal with that but I said that was not necessary. I was sure it would be corrected with the next application.

After the weed treatment, the weeds are growing faster and higher than my lawn, 2 weeks after the treatment. I do not recommend Weed Man. They burned my lawn leaving it black for half the summer. When I complained they told me that it was Chinch Bug and I needed to spend another $250.00. I do not have Chinch Bug. Also, paying these people is a very complicated process and finally Weed Man is expensive. I was spending almost $1000 annually for mediocre results.

Tried to cancel our summer fertilizer due to being unable to water our lawn and our request was never answered. They came anyway a week later and charged us. They also left us an information brochure advising us to water our lawn more. Hello?!?! Stage 4 watering restrictions here….When I contacted them they were not in any way apologetic. I paid the invoice but I will never use their service again. The same thing happened the last time we were in severe watering restrictions and I had to argue to cancel the service. I understand they have a business and it hurts when the weather doesn’t cooperate but I can’t afford to pay for services I don’t need just to keep their business going. So, instead of losing a customer for one service visit, they have lost a customer for good.

I signed up for annual package and have received the services promised to date. Weed Man has been responsive to all calls, comments and questions that I have had. One of their technicians, Steve, who has been here 3 times that I know of, takes the time to explain to me what services will be performed that day and answers all my questions and provides advice on what I can do to enhance or support the lawn treatment in the gaps between planned visits. If additional services are needed all I have to do is give them a call and they will schedule a visit within the following week. So far on this contract I feel that I have received value for the money I paid and I am much more knowledgeable about how the condition of my lawn (after 6 years of neglect) and what need to be done to make it a healthy lawn. Based on the improvement to date I believe that by the end of the growing season I will have healthy lawn.

I signed up for a package including fertilizers, weed killing, over seeding, etc. The company does as promised but my first issue was the guy who installed our lawn sod kept telling me I wasn't fertilizing the lawn enough, or with the right stuff, or whatever. This criticism came after two applications of fertilizer by Weed Man. The lawn wasn't in good shape. With over seeding, the seed was applied but if you know anything about over seeding, you have to prep the lawn and earth. You need to minimally de-thatch the lawn to expose the dirt. If the seed doesn't fall on earth it isn't going to take. Over seeding is a slow process, earth and lawn prep, then seeding then lots of watering. We were never left instructions about watering with the seeding. Needless to say, without de-thatching the great majority of seeds did not take. They do what they say they are going to do but our lawn ("your lawn will be the best on the block") was the worst on the block.

Over the past 3 years I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to get my lawn to look decent, but could never get rid of the weeds or get the grass to thicken up and look lush. A new neighbor had a lawn worse than mine, but shortly after he hired Weed Man, his quickly looked far better than mine. To my surprise, my neighbor told me the cost was low and results were high. I called Weed Man myself and signed up after an appraisal. After only a few weeks, a majority of the weeds were gone and they also did a second application on the remaining weeds. After they applied the spring fertilizer, the results were outstanding. Today, 1 month later, my lawn is lush, thick and green with NO weeds. My lawn is one of the nicest in the neighbourhood now.
