If they have what you want and you know where to go find it in the store you're going to be golden and have a great experience. On the other hand if you need to talk to someone at customer service be prepared to wait; and in some cases feel like you are being an inconvenience. Additionally 2 months later I am still waiting for the phone call that my rain check is in for a free Milwaukee battery valued at $250. Starting to feel I'll never get that phone call.

We placed an order for a tub of Rotatella T4 oil on a Friday. They were quick to process the payment yet, two weeks to the day, I still hadn’t heard from them. Fearing they lost the order, I called...”no sir, we have the order but it’s not been processed yet!” I called Canadian Tire on the Saturday... canceled the order and Peavy and picked up my Rotatella T4 in less than 48 hours! Cheaper, I might add!

I am not convinced that TSC should be doing e-commerce. The staff in-store are doing their best and try to help but there is always an issue with finding someone at the customer service desk. Today the gentleman at customer service was also the only cashier on duty, and he had a long line. He was excellent, polite and calm despite being overwhelmed. There is always an issue with finding someone to go retrieve my item from the back storage room, in the past I've witnessed arguments between overworked employees not wanting to go back to find something "in that mess." On a few occasions, the item could not be found easily and I had to wait a significant time. A bit of organization might help the employees. Also the store could use a tidy.

Very poorly managed store. They'll have sale items MAYBE 10% of the time and that's if you show up first thing on the day the sales start. The place is literally filthy. Nobody there knows what a broom is.... The only reason I go into this place is because sometimes they have great pellet gun sales (if it's in stock) and I buy my BB and pellets there for a good price.

If I could give a lower score, I would. Absolutely horrendous customer service at this location. I phoned before leaving to drive all the way there, to arrive and ask for help that was prepared I was coming, to be sent employees who not only smelt like a gym locker room COATED in Axe body spray, but to be told no body that worked there knew anything about the specific product I was trying to pick through.. which was a complete disaster by the way! On top of that- one of the employees was clearly rushing out for their break because I did not get the time of day from them.. I was abandoned in the aisle when they could not give me an answer, nobody even offered to call in for reinforcements to someone who may know the answer or give me ideas as to where to find the information I needed. Wouldve been helpful If their own tools werent broken either. Poor attitudes. Poor work ethics. Poor organization. Every time i have been here I have been let down. Will take my business elsewhere going forward hands down I'd suggest going elsewhere if you need something or know EXACTLY what you're going in the store for because nobody will help you!!

Always good quality items and a great price. For weekly flyer specials you either get there on the first day of sale or item will likely be sold out. Fair enough, the early bird... I find the floor staff and cashiers to be very knowledgeable on the products they carry, friendly, and helpful. If I call ahead to see if they have an item in stock they will hold it for me until later the same day so I can pick it up after work. In 15 years I don't think that I've ever had to return a single item, so that in itself is a real time saver.

Signage in this store is poor or non-existent. Went in to find items on sale in the flyer & zero signage. Also found that on the very 1st day of the flyer only 3 left of 1 of the items. On the plus side they actually have a designated changeroom unlike Kingston. Even if the door doesnt lock.

Dont park there if your not doing business there. They call the city and you get a 13 dollar ticket. Sad especially when the person got the fine went to his doctor and was give a prescription. When he returned he found the ticket. I told him i wont be buying anything fro pharma plus nor TSC after this fine. Wow

I was a little disappointed as it's a 25 minute drive to get here and the item I wanted (straw) , that showed 25 in stock, was nowhere to be found. Staff said it must be an inventory error. They didn't have isopropyl or diatomaceous earth either. I walked out with nothing I came looking for.

I'm a big fan of hardware stores, having spent many an hour browsing through Home Depot, Canadian Tire, etc....this was my first visit to a TSC and yet staff treated me like a regular. Prices were reasonable, I would say slightly lower than the big box hardware stores, and sale prices were of the "how can I NOT buy this?" variety...BUT - then I called the Belleville store later to ask if they could have an item I saw in store, a water fountain, shipped to the Cornwall store (closer to my home). They went and got the SKU, told me it would ship in about a week or two, and that was it....no one ever called back. I followed up with the Belleville and Cornwall stores and they both kept giving me the runaround. I should have stuck with Home Depot.

Great store. If you’re a homeowner and looking for those odds items, this is the place. Stock tanks to make swimming pools. Yep. Good rubber boots for mucking about? Check. Garden stuff? Got that too. It’s not a fancy or big box store but the deals are fantastic.

Today took the cake. The Belleville store has a poor reputation and this is a good example. We were in desperate need of Ice Melter.To my surprise when checking the TSC site it indicated there was an inventory of 47 bags. Unlike the CTC inventory that said 9 which could be understood there was a discrepancy. Arrived at the store to find no Ice Melter except small pails. Asked where was the Windor ice melter as inventory on line was 47 bags. Teller called Manager who indicated it was all gone. Returning to my vehicle, I noticed skids of some type of bags in the lock up outside. Wandered over and there was easily 35 to 40 bags of Ice melter. People driving all over the country looking for this. Weather forecast indicating ice and freezing rain. Returned to store and said that the product I wanted was in the lock up, would I not be able to get some. A $100.00 purchase by the way! A staff person arrived to examine the situation. Apologized and said that they would get me the five bags I wanted. In the end three male staff and the manager arrived. Product was paid for and loaded into my car. Managers' excuse was that it was covered in snow. NOT. If this is where retail is headed what a world.

This place is laughable. Good merchandising principles are nonexistent. The store is always an absolute mess. If you’re looking for something there’s a good chance the shelf will be empty, there will be no price, or the item will be somewhere it doesn’t belong. And good luck getting someone to help you find it. Employees will rush by you so fast you’ll never even get the chance to ask for help. Even if you’re lucky enough to have the displeasure of talking to someone they will make you want to go somewhere else, which is what I suggest doing in the first place.

This store itself is nice, but over half the time I go in to buy something it's never in stock and you can't find anyone in the store to help you. Also, I've placed orders on raincheck twice now in the past and never received a call back. This store needs more employees and new management.

Great place got lots of feed supply, would really wish I could purchase rolling achers layer krumble from the kingston store, as they never have any in stock forcing me twice a month to travelle here to belleville location, as we run a decent size egg farm, every time we need to change feeds leads to 2 weeks of poor egg production. Leaving us with unhappy customers that we can only sell to if they arrive at our farm. Unhappy customers that can't get a regular supply of eggs find other sellers. These employees here are ok because I'm there for 1 reason. TSC OWNERS TAKE NOTE IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT WISHES YOU WOULD STOCK MORE IN KINGSTON, THEY TELL US ITS HEAD OFFICE SO GET YOUR STORE STOCK ISSUES SORTED, before we find new suppliers.

Staff was friendly and helpful.. but the place looked like a mob had gone through it ! Stuff was everywhere, on the floors, shelves were totally disorganized and prices were impossible to figure out. I was pushing my cart over boxes collapsed on the floors and leaving it out side isles because it was to messy to push down.. for a small town store competing to survive, they need to up there game.

This store does a terrible job of inventory control. If the TSC website shows that something is in stock, always call and have the staff go verify it is on the shelf before driving here. I’ve been burned three times coming here only to find out that the website stock on hand does not match what the store actually has. Inaccurate inventory reporting is the manager’s fault, but they made excuses when I asked why it’s a recurring problem at this TSC. Also of note: this particular store is a chronic mess. Many shelves are out of stock or disorganized. They’re not short staffed, so again, it’s just a poorly run store.

I could not be more disappointed with this store. The shelves are poorly labeled. Their inventory does not match what is on the shelves. The staff are almost never helpful, it can be impossible to get anyone on the phone and we ordered a mini greenhouse online a month and a half ago with still no word as to when it will be shipped. It doesn't matter how many times we call, chat or go into the store no one knows what is going on with our order. I would avoid this place if I were you. I know I will in the future. Update We did receive a greenhouse in the end. It took two months, was a different cheaper model than the one we had ordered and it was bent and broken. When we asked the staff to open it up for us to assess the damage on it one of the guys was polite about it while the other one started sighing and grumbling under his breath angrily that we asked this of him. There were no issues with getting a refund and we left never to return to that store again.

It took an hour for my wife to get 8 pickets and 2 rolls of chicken wire. Why? Because the store is extremely disorganized, nothing is put away and the staff are useless. The cashier pages for help multiple times, but nobody would respond. When my wife finally found someone, they had no idea where to look. Finally my wife found it by herself. If your staff have no idea where stuff is, how are customers supposed to find it?

With the covid 19 precautions in place the store has become a bit of a board game that no one wants to play, in some instances there are arrows on the floor pointing in the opposite direction with no way to follow them. Still a good store, but hopefully this will get straightened out.

Called ahead to see if they had black hardware for chain link fence post gate, after being put on hold for about 5 mins the young man we were speaking to came back on and said "what was it again, I got side tracked?" We once again explained what we needed and again were put on hold while he checked. He came back on line and stated they had 4-5 gate hardware kits at which time we asked how late they were open and that we would be there in 30 mins (travelling from Stockdale area) Upon arrival we could not find any and asked for assistance, at that time we were told they didn't carry those. Infuriated we asked to speak with store manager and he checked to see who took our original call, no one owned up to the error and we left the store with just an apology. Extremely dissatisfied and would NOT recommend this store nor management to anyone looking to make a purchase

Made an online order on May 2nd and still waiting, over 2 weeks now! and all the items I ordered except one showed in stock in the Cornwall store.. I called the Cornwall store on May 21st to find out where my order was since I have been receiving emails to come get my items and was put on hold for over an hour then finally told they were too busy to help me. This place is very poorly managed. The manager and employees are mean, and they picked at a young man with a backpack under my watchful eye. He was right, too! The hours on here are wrong. Showed up at 8pm and they closed the doors on us and wouldn't let us in. We explained that online the hours are until 9pm but they didn't care, even though we told them we had driven 45 minutes. They just blamed Google. As a business owner myself, I know that if you are registered with Google you can change the hours yourself. Very unprofessional attitude we received. Will not be going again.

Last I rated a 3star but last visit a 2. No help on floor. Store is a mess. Product in isles. Product un priced. Asked a staff member for price on generator. She didn't know asked another staff member. He disappeared to get price and never returned. Asked first girl again and she was more interested in making sure people entering were washing and didnt have time to ask or inquire. No sizing in cover-alls that we went for 2 pair and left only with 1 pair work pants. Will not cross town again for this store

Nothing is every priced, or priced properly. A lot of items aren't put out, today when asking about a product 33 were in store not one on the shelf. We were told a manager would come see us to get them, we waited half an hour before approaching the clerk again, turns out they brought one up while she was on break and without telling us, and we needed three so we had to wait again. Not the first time going there and having things missing and under stocked. 2 stars only for the clerk being patient and helpful on trying to help us.

I went there to buy folding camp chairs that were in there flyer. I went the first day of the sale around 9:00 a.m.. I walked to lawn/garden area where I thought they would be, they weren't there. I aimlessly walked up and down every aisle searching as another customer commented that he also couldn't find what he was looking for. The back aisle of the store was a mess. A staff member walked by and didn't offer any assistance. I went to the cashier and asked about the chairs. She pointed to the door and said that they were there. I went and by the door there was one chair, it was dusty and the bag that it should have been in was stuffed in the cup holder. I bought the chair because, I needed it for that day. I went back to the cashier and was ignored by the two staff that were talking about how they had to greet every customer that was to come in because, loss prevention was coming that day. I took the chair to the event I needed it for and when I opened it up, it had a dirty tissue on the seat and was dirty. I was really unimpressed with my purchase and the lack of customer service that I received.

Ordered a welding kit and drove 45 minutes to pick it up. Box was broken and the girl that bought it to me said she checked it and everything was ok. Got home after my 45 minute drive and found that it was used, full of grease, gas guages knocking around loose. Bad guages could be dangerous, and the store employe that bought it ro me doesn't seem ro care. I will never shop there again, i will stay in Québec.

And the guy that said his wife got caught in traffic and was 2 minutes late after closing.....LIAR. i was there. His wife pulled up a half hour after the store was closed. Cashes are closed down. I must start by saying I like TSC, however the Cornwall Store is horrible. Stock is usually questionable, the store is seldom clean, and most of the staff are useless. There are a few with a brain but only a few. I shop mainly online and have it shipped to the Cornwall location but even at that the pick up process can be very tedious.

This is probably the worst store and company I have ever dealt with. Not only can they not send an order in a timely manner but they cannot communicate any issues. It has been me calling and following up with the company as to where my order is for a month in a half (full payment was taken upon order). Even after getting an email to "pick up" the order at the store ..... it still wasn't there and the store is actually even worse to speak too. I was offered no discount, no rush just that it would be reshipped after no one can find the order. And that it will now take another two weeks at the least. Best advise I can give future buyers.......DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY........LOOK ELSEWHERE.

My son sent me a picture from the Peevy flyer containing all information to order an item for him.. Phoned Belleville Store. They didn't have any, and no stock in warehouse. but nice enough to give me thephone number for Brookville who said you have to order off the website and get it transfered to Belleville Store. Website wouldn't accept size. I phoned Brockville back. Sat on hold for 10 minutes while the nice girl said she would have to trans me to their office Their office said a transfer with in stores would have to initiate in Belleville. Today at 10am I phoned the Belleville store, to see if they had any roof rakes in stock, I was told "yes". At 11am my wife drove to the store to pick one up, only to be told that "they didn't have any". I phoned the store an hour later and explained what had happened to a supervisor, and he informed me that "they had sold out the evening before and the employee that said they had them was mistaken". He then asked me if my wife had a purple coat, and I said "yes" , he then told me that two roof rakes had been returned and that they put one good one together out of the two returned ones, that my wife had "just left the store with it". Long story short, my wife came home without one because they told her they were sold out, it seems that an hour after she left the store they sold one to another lady with a purple coat !!! I phoned the Belleville store shortly after noon and spoke with a manager (Carol) , All she could do is say she was "sorry" . The treatment that this customer received today from T.S.C. was very sub-standard !

Went to get two pairs of Flex pants that were on sale for $29.99. You would think that if there was a sale on they would put the sale prices on but they don't have any sale prices listed on shelves in store. Seems you just need to guess. While I was there 5 customers left, because the cashiers were taking way to long. The staff try to find things for you but the store is so disorganized with no sale signage. Products is all over the place multiple items of the same thing in different aisles with no updated prices on it. They should close this store and get someone into restructure the entire thing. It is a mess.

Kind of frustrating when the staff tell you to come up with the sku number for an item that the website says they have 4 in stock of without them even tryimg to look the item up on their system. Can't get receptiin in the store so i had to leave the store, look up the item on their website and come back in to give them their own sku number. Then they said the Didn't have even thiugh their website said they had 4 in stock. She admitted that their inventory is usually wrong after make a half attemp of looking for the item. Store was clean, well organized, shelves tidy. I gave them a three because it was hard to find clerks on the floor at 3 pm on a Saturday. We went there for a tractor seat cover, apparently they no longer sell tractor seat covers. Are they no longer a farm supply company selling farm supplies/tractor supplies now that they are no longer TSC? The closest to a tractor seat in the store was a bar stool with a tractor pan seat on it.

Not a fan of any of these stores I have been to many of them. My experiences are the following. 1 always messy 2 hard to find pricing 3 hard to find help when needed 4 hard to find items from the flyer. And dont get me started on the internet site. I ordered a tractor 2 years ago and it took 3 months for me to get my money back as they never delivered the tractor. I think the new name is good as I am usually peeved off when I go in there.

I have been to this store many many times... the customer service is beyond horrible .. it is non existent. I went in looking for the camping wood stove, which I know for a fact the store carries. I asked their customer service associate for one and was told they don't carry camping wood stoves. The very next flyer .. bam there is a camping wood stove on sale. So this associate instead of looking up the product flat out lied right to my face. On another visit I went into this store looking for a propane salamander ... once again I asked this same employee where I could find them... once again I was told they no longer sell them... once again I receive a flyer with low and behold a salamander on sale. I find this store lacking in all departments. Asking for anything is useless, asking for help is like your talking a foreign language. The store manager... is a joke, she has no clue on how to train the employee's or make sure they are doing their jobs. I have asked to speak to her on a few occasions and have been told every time she is busy... at one point I said I would wait... an hour later another employee came over and told me she had left for the day. Good luck shopping at this hell hole!

Recently on a Sunday TSC had a sale on snow fence.I went to the store to buy some. There was nothing on display of the snow fence anywhere outside the store or inside. I found two different styles of it in the warehouse. I had to back to customer service to find out which style was on sale. Myself and an employee walked back to the warehouse and with his scanner showed which style was on sale. Since I only saw two rolls there I asked them if they could order me some more. The employee checked with the stores in Brockville and in Kemptville. He said he might be able to have them to his store. He said he would need to get approval from his manager to do that. He said he will call me the next day - Monday. He did not phone me. The next Saturday I phoned this store and asked if my order had arrived. A lady told me that the manager was unloading a truck at the time and will call me later. The manager never called. This store is the worst for service that I have ever had.

I buy majority of my items online (amazon) and this store is one of the main reasons. Terrible customer service. Appears to be very high staff turnover. As others have mentioned, flyer "deals" appear to be bait and switch tactics, as they are out of stock within 24 hours. A mess of a store, not including the "yard sale" type of set up they appear to be going for indoors. One store I shop at frequently over online is Home Depot - they could learn some Hong from them on every level. Even if you compare TSC in Massena (realize different ownership, though they cater to same clientel) they are miles apart.

I have had my last visit to their store. I have driven to the store on different ocasions after receiving their flyer only to be told sold out,and I find out that some stores dont have any stock thats advertised and some only have one of the items listed in flyer and I have seen to many pepole ask for sale items only to be told sold out they pull this every flyer not just once in a while so the next time you go to get an advertised item and told their out complain we as Canadians ar to placid they wouldn't get away with this in the US

I wonder if any one from TSC ever reads these reviews. Just came back from TSC in Cornwall and I can only repeat what others have said. A lot of items have no price shown at all. Among other things I bought a kid's Gardening set shown on sale at $10.95 on a paper with the item's name on it next to to the item on the table. I was charged $14.47; when I went back to customer service to inquire about it, I was told the $10.95 was their cost. Yeah, right. But even if that is true, which store shows their cost as a "Sale Price" - the biggest issue was the extremely rude TSC employee at the customer service desk. This was at pretty much exactly 3:00pm on July 5, 2019. That employee should be fired - but as others have noted - rude employees seem to be the norm there. I was heading home to measure my deck to make sure the gazebo from TSC at $400.- would fit, but with staff like that - forget it. I'm spending my dollars elsewhere.

Great store, clean, bright, wide aisles. Bought some horse feed. The young man even came out and loaded the bags in the SUV. Great service gives competition to UFA and CO-OP

I was looking for your opening hours on your site ? I called at 6:30 a.m. expecting an answering machine with the information, but it kept on ringing. I live 30 mins.from your store,and it would be convenient for me,and others to know your hours before leaving,especially before work.

Unfortunately the staff don't seem to know the product they sell. I asked for two items which they said they didn't have then I come upon them as I was looking for other stuff. Not small items either one was a livestock water trough and the other was a wheelbarrow if I didn't Point them out they would have lost $600 in sales Sad!

Belleville location, disorganized and Never has anything in stock, crack corn, egg layer, etc. Peterborough and Bowmanville clean and organized, always has stock.

Store is a complete mess with products in the wrong spots so prices posted can be misleading. Clearly understaffed. Had the store manager tell me I should really "get in the habit of bringing my OFA card" with me to save them from the paper work? Clearly, no concept of customer service.

Absolute horrible experiences at this location on more then one occasion. Staff have little interest in helping you find items that are later found to be out of stock with no idea when replacements will be in stock. Tried to return some ratchet straps that were unused and was told that they didn't sell them which is BS because I had purchased them there. Manager seemed completely uninterested in listening to my side and actually turned her back on me which ended the conversation. Can honestly say I have never been treated this bad by retail EVER. I complained to corporate HQ and they have the same attitude. Do a search online for employees comments about working for TSC and they will confirm all of what I state in this review. Don't set foot in these stores...go to Home Depot or Lowes---a MUCH better choice!!!!
