In an effort to save money there is not always a staff member at all of the locations. When you call from Belleville and Trenton area the call could be answered somewhere in Timbuktu..... previous to our most recent phone calls the staff were usually pleasant and helpful however we have not had the same caliber of customer service lately. One of my complaints is regarding the method of payment. It has changed without us being informed. Previously we were able to view our billing information as well as other pertinent information but now the only option other than paying in person is to use an e-transfer. We were charged 2 late payment fees due to the difficulty involved with the e-transfer. A call made to enquire only led to more confusion as the condescending staff member couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation for the double charge. Unfortunately this company falls short in the customer service department and I wish it were still owned by the previous company. They were much easier to speak with and had a genuine concern for the customer. Luckily there are other storage sites available as My Storage has become quite unpredictable in several aspects . Would not recommend using as it appears to be on the verge of further unpredictability. In case of a response from the company please don't bore me with the usual " with over 7400 customers" blah,blah,blah.......

This dresser was stolen from MyStorage in Belleville on Millennium Parkway between Friday October 2nd and today, October 8th. Apparently, during the Site Managers site inspection walk done twice a day, noticed the back door was open for the last six days and decided not to call me until today?? She called me this morning at 8:30 am and I asked her if the two items were still inside? She said she would have to look into it. FOUR hours later I called her back and she claims to have been so busy there was no opportunity to look. I explained my daughter was meeting someone there today as there was someone coming to pick it up and I would like to know. She again tells me I’ll check. She never did and my daughter and the purchaser who rented a trailer, show up to an empty unit. This is all very suspect as there were only six people who knew the code to enter the property. Only six people who knew there was a dresser and mirror in that unit AND only six who knew the front door of the unit was broken. The manager takes no responsibility to check on broken doors even though she was made aware of it the minute we knew it was broken. And of course the camera that faces and records that unit area cannot show clear footage due to a spider web. Too many of my questions have been refused answers. MyStorage.ca - no recommendations coming from us. Police Report is next.

One of the best recent experiences was renting a unit at My Storage. I started doing renovations to my house at back in February and it was quite stressful as you can imagine. One of the best things about My Storage is their customer focus and service, they make you feel like you're apart of the family. I, also in a rush one day, and forgot to lock my unit as i was leaving, and the manager called me letting me know my unit was left unlocked... Your stuff is safe with My Storage! 10/10 BEST DEALS & BEST SERVICE!

The absolute worst customer service experience. The staff seem to be focussed exclusively on squeezing fees out of each customer. I have been a customer at the Belleville location for over 3 years. Run the staging portion of my business from one of their largest units. Upon upgrading to this larger unit with two access door I was provided two fobs(one for each door) but there were no emergency keys to gain access if the fobs do not work(batteries etc) Low and behold one of the fobs stopped working. I turned in the non functional fob and later that afternoon, while finishing up a move the door was closed. Leaving car keys, and the functional fob inside. Instead of understanding the situation and recognizing that if the emergency keys had been provided, or the fob was repaired quickly this situation wouldn’t be an issue. The only solution the staff person had for me(while holding my non functional fob) was a $400 fee to have a maintenance person break the door. It has been two days and no retuned calls from upper management. In orde for my business to run I had to break down and was forced to pay this additional fee. Be wary of this location. The staff are quite pleasant. Until they are able to stick you with absurd charges. Merry Christmas. Yeah right.

Well have waiting since September for my deposit refund. Rented before the new owners took over. Rates did not change but number of days monthly for monthly fee did. I was assured that I would get my deposit. Told they have issued 2 different checks. The staff in Belleville are nice but told refund comes from head office.

Excellent service, especially as we have never rented a storage unit before. All of our questions were answered and we were able to reserve a unit for several days prior to signing a contract. We required a space for our tenant to temporarily store extra belongings so we could stage her apartment for viewings. It's a win, win solution for both parties. She said the unit was perfect BTW.

Paying for the locker itself ended up double than what I was originally quoted, locker was filthy with dirt and dead bugs inside. I was put on automatic payments despite specifying I would only be there for the month. And they kept the $20 security deposit despite me telling them I would be out early. Was out 2 days prior to the end of the storage lease, cleaned and mopped the locker, then called to let them know I was out......2 days later I was charged for another month, and have to wait up to a week to get my money back on top of them saying that since I didn't tell them what date I would be out (I did tell them) that they would be keeping my deposit. The main gate was also broken the entire time I had the locker. Staff seemed nice, but I'm literally paying for forgetfulness. Update. Their management got ahold of me. Offered to give me my security deposit back only if I take this review down. No wrongdoing was admitted. Therefore my review stands.

A very nice lady named Samantha answered the phone and explained everything to me with all of the features and was very patient with me as I kept asking lots of questions and I ended up with a very good rate! I would give no stars at all. Very BAD experience. - Front desk clerks were polight, BUT some of them have provided incomplete and incorrect information. - Supervisors did not step in when I tried to resolve the issue. - As a customer I had to provide my driver license info, name, address, phone number. On the other hand, when I needed to resolve the issue, I was not provided with manager's contact information. Not even a business e-mail. I was told by the front desk clerk that I will be contacted by the management in 3 days. I left my phone number. I was waiting for 3 business days, but mamagemem never contacted me back. Here is that unresolved citation : - l came to "My storage" on Milanium Park drive, and I was hoping to find a unit with independent entrance, to park my motorcycle. -I was offered a unit 10x10, the only available at that time. I prepared for 10x10. I was told by the front- desk clerk that they have 6x10 units and I will be on their waiting list. I prepaid the rental fee of $176.27+ admin fee of $ 16.95+ $25.00 of moving fee (refundable with condition: I had to let company know a MONTH ahead that I am moving out). Total of $ 218.22 July 4th, I came to take in possession10x10 unit, and was told that 6x10 is available. I confirmed my needs, and I was assured that it is the unit I need. I signed a contract. When I brought my motorcycle I discovered that this unit is a part of a complex. The path inside of this complex was too narrow, I could not get my motorcycle in that unit. After my complaine about it, I was told that 6x10 with independent entrance does not exist at this location. I was offered to continue paying for the unit 6x10 till another 10x10 is available (maybe in September). I was not interested to pay for something I can not use. No other options were offered. I asked them, for outdoor parking space, which they had. It costs less, and it still would keep me on the waiting list for 10x10. Bad service again. I parked outdoor for two weeks, balance was forwarded towards my rent. Aug 3rd, i came to the office to CLOSE my account. I was refused to get my balance back. They have no right to keep my money. It was disturbing and frustrating to deal with this company, thay caused me more problems. I have received no adequate service. Note for "upper management" I am expecting full refund, less 2 weeks for parking at P007 space
