Hired and paid them for a 6 month guarantee to get rid of mice. They came and set out about 4, $5 poison bait traps. After a few weeks there was still activity in the attic. Had to practically BEG Jim to come back because he refused to believe that it could possibly be mice and literally said to me "you actually want me to go inside the attic??". He finally sent his very professional and compassionate employee who found a major infestation of mice in the attic. He placed a bunch of bait there which hasn't solved the problem, and they told me there wasn't anything else they could do except spray which would be harmful to our health, and would leave dead mice corpses everywhere which they don't help find or clean! Wouldn't attempt any sort of traps, cages, electronic devices, nothing! Also never came back or called for a follow up ever!! The guarantee is an absolute joke, they should be ashamed of themselves! At the same time I had also used them to spray for centipedes. The centipedes came back after a month, and the spray stained my tiles! Which of course they said they've never experienced before. Beyond disappointed with every aspect of their service.

They are definitely great when you first have to use them. I have a 90 day warranty where I can have the pods refilled and I have been trying to schedule a refill however their availability is not that flexible. I work 9-5 mon -fri and they can only service mon-fri till 3:30. The first time they set me up and put in the pods was on a Saturday morning and I would appreciate if that was available during a refill process which is under warranty.

We contacted Action Pest Control to come do an exterior exam and to check for sightings of bees. We had bees last September in the front of our house, and requested expertise regarding this summer season. The gentleman who came was very accommodating with regards to our social distancing protocols. He was very thorough when explaining the outcomes. I really liked how honest and upfront when discussing some options, he was advised waiting before spending an added cost that may or may not be necessary. My only thoughts on what I didn’t like: 1. When booking the appointment initially, I was told our time slot for someone to come would be between 1:30/2PM. As this was better for my daughters nap - and the gentleman showed up before 12:30 in the middle of our lunch routine. 2. When asking for an additional quote for someone to call me or email me the details, I received a call about someone being at my house unexpectedly, and not arranged. I appreciate the promptness, but somethings our family needs notice of arrivals due to the current pandemic. Nonetheless, we would highly recommend their services.

During our kitchen reno our walls were taken back to studs where we discovered obvious evidence of mice. They had tunneled through our insulation and appeared to be coming in by the fan vent. We had evidence of mice previously but had never found an entry point. So while the walls were open, we called Action Pest Control's rodent line. The woman who answered told me what they offered and the costs, and booked an inspection for the next morning! A very friendly gentleman toured inside and outside with me, and baited our attic and basement, and gave me a one year warranty so that if we encountered more activity during the winter months, we would qualify for further action. very frustrated customer. i live in a quadplex with forced air heating ( vents). i have had them come in 3 times now to spray for bedbugs and cockroaches. the 1st time they brought in a team of people and sprayed 3/4 of the apartments, but left the basement and common areas untouched. the 2nd scheduled spray nobody showed up. which means i totally wasted my time and money on preparing for them to show up. they were recalled and rescheduled. and they showed up. BUT they only sprayed 1/4 of the apartments, again left the common areas, and basement untouched. at this time they were suppose to spray for bedbugs and cockroaches. but only sprayed for cockroaches. the 3rd scheduled appointment again nobody showed up, again a total waste of my time and money preparing for them to show up. again the appointment was rescheduled and they showed up. BUT again they only sprayed 1 apartment. and left the basement and common areas untouched. at this time they were suppose to spray for bedbugs and cockroaches but only sprayed for bedbugs. at no time after any of the spraying that this company has done have i found even 1 dead bug, the amount of bugs has NOT decreased at all, we are killing at least 30 bedbugs per night, we are killing hundreds of cockroaches per day, this is just with our bare hands. i have wasted hundreds of dollars preparing for scheduled appointments with this company to have nobody show up. i have wasted hundreds more on having this company show up and the problem not be taken care of. i am going absolutely insane with these pests, and i will never let this company come back into my apartment again. they seem more interested in making money then actually dealing with the problem. all their technicians have done is spray the baseboards, there is no plan for dealing with the nests, there is no plan for dealing with the hatchlings, and there is no plan for dealing with the bugs that flee to the other apartments while the spraying is being done. i do NOT know what chemical they use in their sprays, but i do know that it is not effectively dealing with the bugs they have been hired to exterminate. guess it is time to try some Gentrol Point Source Insect Growth Regulator to stop the breeding and some Advion Gel Bait to kill the bugs. at least it is a plan to prevent breeding and eliminate the ones we have. cause this company just is not doing it.

Very frustrated with this company I live in an apartment building and have being sprayed twice so far for bed bugs I completely got in my apartment flipped over every piece of furniture bag up every piece of laundry did everything I was supposed to do same night woke up with bites also last time woke up with bites right away this why is my second spray they should be gone by now especially since I barely have an infestation I haven't even seen a bedbug the whole time but I know they're here because I get bit every night the technicians were very nice when I met them I'm not sure who was here yesterday but it's exactly the same as it was

We're currently dealing with a carpenter ant issue in our basement after we may have disturbed their home in our backyard when our deck got built. I called Action Pest and was able to have an expert (Steve) out the next day to take a look. The original plan was to treat the entire house but after an assessment, Steve suggested to only do a perimeter spray as the bait stations I put out seemed to be working. We also found a possible entry point in an exterior wall where that showed a bit of water damage on the inside. Hopefully by sealing this up solved it! +1 for these guys. Steve could have easily done the full scope of work at double the cost but was honest and saved me money. I would not hesitate to work with these guys again.

We made contact with this company via email first and corresponded with "Jim" who was quick with responses and directed me to the office for additional assistance. The office lady was VERY nice, polite, respectable and a pleasure to deal with. She gave us some quick "pre" treatment things to do and set us up for an appointment within a few days. The service man was on time, pleasant and THANKFULLY wasnt even in a marked vehicle (how embarrassing). We had the dastardly centipedes in the house and since the treatment we have seen only 1 very small one and the office girl had already informed us of this possibility. I was right in the middle of a house rennovation when the window installers found a nest of carpenter ants who had taken up residence under an old leaky window. Need less to say I freaked out! Thanks to Jim and his team for coming to our rescue immediately to remove a mouse caught in our bathroom vent. We did not know what to expect as its tail and feet seemed to be moving and hanging between the crevice of the vent. Helped in a blizzard. I have used Action for my student rentals near Mohawk and always do good and keep my tenants happy, but yesterday during the snow storm somehow a rat got into my property on West 4th and girls were totally freaked out. I would like to say that ACTION PEST CONTROL is the best service. The people working there are very dedicated to their work, very personable and polite Non judgemental kind people. I've had the opportunity to speak with two lovely people that work there. Firstly John one of the gentleman that sprays your home is very polite, personable and a complete gentleman, his parents sure raised a gentleman. Knows what he is talking about and above all not afraid to work hard. The sweet lady answering the phones is very polite and a real lady. I highly recommend this agency to come into your home there is certainly no reason to feel ashamed. These people love their jobs! They will help you happily. Out of ten this agency is an 11.

I have a problem with mice in my attic. Jim from Action Pest Control came out on a weekend and treated my problem promptly. Within the 6 month guarantee, I started hearing mice in the attic again. One phone call, and they came out the next day to treat my attic again. Jim was professional and courteous. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful and looked up my file and scheduled appointments quickly. This is great service, considering last year I used Beacon Pest Control and had terrible results. Paid almost $2000 and was told my house was sealed and I wouldn't hear a mouse again for 10 years. Sadly, the very next fall, my problem returned. I wish I didn't have mice in my attic but am certainly grateful for a company that stands behind their guarantee. Thanks Action Pest Control!

3 days ago my dad called me saying there were noises coming from our attic space. After a little investigating he found one mother racoon (large in size), and three small babies living with her. The noise had been going on for a while and it had become unbearable for my parents. After calling around to a few places i was quoted within a minimum price of starting at $800. I had Action in for a variety of issues I have had at my property. My initial experience with them was with cockroaches. Their technicians were friendly and professional and I have had no issues with cockroaches since having them treat my property. On a separate occasion I had bed bugs. Again, the technicians were friendly and professional and were always reliable with showing up on time. Why 3 stars you ask? They were not effective in getting rid of the problem. I had them in on 4 separate occasions over the span of 3 weeks and I continued to have an issues. I had to switch to a company that specialized in bed bugs (Mr. Bed Bugs) which was able to clear my problem after 1 visit. In summary, they are a professional company with great technicians, that were effective in getting rid of cockroaches however if you have bed bugs, I would not recommend them.
