I had an experience with a Racoon who gave birth to 6 babies in my attic earlier this year. Chris and his team did a great job coming by and taking care of everything. They got the babies out and took care of sealing up the possible entry points. When we came back from a week-long vacation, we noticed that the raccoon came back and pried open a soffit trying to get back in. After verifying that the raccoon did not get back in, they did some further re-enforcement of that area. Raccoons in your attic is no joke. They gave us back our sanity and eliminated the noisy, sleepless nights.

When we discovered a mother raccoon and her babies under our old hot tub in the back yard, we knew we wanted to have them removed without endangering the animals. Discovered that we had an opossum in our garage. Called alternative place and the man came with a bag and thought it was trapped already?!?. He did not have a cage. Returned the following day with a cage. Left trap in for three days, no opossum, said it must have gotten out. Man did not look to see if it could get out or in. Fast forward 6 days. Notice a strange smell in the laundry room attached to garage. Smell gets pungent. I bravely determine aforementioned rodent in now dead in my ceiling. Call buddy again he turns up with a garbage bag?!? Does nothing. NOTHING. Enter Skedaddle's Mahamat - What a difference - He was armed and geared up ready to do battle. Darryl showed up on time and was professional and very friendly. He did an assessment of my house and found the entry point where the mice were coming in and out of my house. We sat in my dining room where he answered all of my questions and took care of my concerns. We called Capital wildlife control to remove a bird from our kitchen exhaust vent. The company showed up at some point. left their card without knocking or ringing the door bell (my pregnant wife was in the livingroom all afternoon). we texted them regarding an eta and he said he already stopped by and thought nobody was home and that they would call us in 15 minutes to talk about when he can come back . We waited half an hour and nothing so we told him we no longer need his services and they then told us "Thanks for waisting our time". We then called up Skedaddle and the nice woman on the phone booked us in for the following afternoon as it was already almost 5PM and too late to have someone come. It was worth the wait. We have been dealing with mice problems in the house for years now. Any previous 'professionals' we hired look like children in the sandbox compared to the plan of attack that we were presented by Rene and Curtis from Skedaddle. Rene came right on time to the minute, gave us heads up of what costs to expect for the job even before he started the assessment, did very thorough walk around the house to check for entry points as well as an assessment of the attic. He was the first person to confirm that there are signs of mice in the attic (and we had three profs look at it before!). He outlined the plan of attack, seemed knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions clearly and effectively. Although the cost associated with the plan is higher than from other professionals, we have all the trust in the effectiveness of it as it was very detailed, and comes with lifetime warranty (as opposed to few months). That being said, we will provide a review for the service itself once we go though the process.

We got a nursing female raccoon with 3 little babies in our attic and that issue forced us to call Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control(Cambridge location). A professional team arrived very soon. Dave & Tanner.D cleaned and disinfected the attic, separated the raccoon mother from her babies and placed babies in a special weather protected box right beside the installed one way door on our roof. Guys were returning a few times to check if racoon mother left the attic and relocated her babies to a new place. After two days only one of the three babies was spotted in the box . It was taken by the raccoon mother on the third night. So, no animals were harmed. We are very thankful to Dave and Tanner D. for their patience and a great job they have done.

Ok so it turns out this service is really a ripoff! They came in the house to extract the squirrels and didn't really bother to look for where they are! I wonder how they call themselves professionals when we managed to do their job ourselves after they left! We found the squirrels and extracted them ourselves after... All they did was look a bit around the house and close chimney entrance using a metal mesh. And to add insult to injury they charged us 450$ for a job NOT done! They would have ripped us off with an invoice of 920$ had I not called them out on it! I would definitely NOT recommend their service to anyone who values what they pay for!

We called for bat removal that our roof company allowed in during a Reno and initially they came and “bat proofed and Mouse proofed” our home cost was approx $6000.00 for this. They sprayed the attic and cleaned the droppings and sealed the house however we had to call again because we heard bats still in the walls and It wasn’t totally sealed like they guarantee their work to be “ bat proofed “ They installed more gates in the areas they realized they missed then took them down and sealed again. A whole year went by living with bats now this season they have been to our home 5 times as we have called as we noticed droppings everywhere and heard them in our walls- the sales guy Dylan left a rude message stating that we need to live with the droppings around the house and that it’s nothing and that they have already checked this season and there’s nothing however we heard noises again in our walls and today again the company came out and the exterminator was so rude stating he has been here already like 10 times and cleaned up attic droppings already this year ... and checked everything last month and basically made me feel crazy for calling again I explained that I was not just calling for bat droppings that we are hearing nightly sounds in the walls and insisted that he check the attic and around the brand new ease trough and fascia we had installed last summer that they “ sealed”. He checked today and indeed installed more gates and advised he cleaned up more attic droppings and that the bats must have got in through and area that they don’t “usually get into” so advised that he sealed it all up YET AGAIN! After being rude had now changed his tune once realIzing we aren’t crazy and the problem is still HERE! Shop around!!!! There has to be better Companies out there!

Last April a couple of squirrels chewed through a roof vent and picked up residence in our attic. The next day we called Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control and Corey was at our home within a day or so and provided us with a detailed quote along with photo's of what he saw in our attic and the damage to the roof vent. He started by saying that he would place a roof anchor on the top ridge of the roof so that he could be properly tied off. This gave me reassurance that we picked the right company. Cambridge Skedaddle came, and for a very reasonable amount of money, considering the life time guarantee, they did the 50 point inspection. They found quite a few entrance points. Many of the points I had had no idea mice could use to get in. The system lures the mice out and does not allow them back in, then when I stopped seeing/hearing evidence the points of entrance were sealed up. The team wasn’t sure my fireplace was adequately dealt with and when I saw evidence of a problem they came, as per warranty, and redid the technique. Squirrel stuck in the chimney for 3 days , no water , no food and crying like a baby. I put a hose down the chimney to give him a path out but he didn't take it... Phoned this company up on one winter freezing rain day and they showed up a few hours later :) Nice guys and they knew what they were doing. It took a little while though because the squirrel was well hidden. Finally located him and the squirrel run up his arm and onto his back. Freaky stuff ! They then caught him in a net and we put him outside. Surprisingly the squirrel was still in very good shape and still fat. I was so happy to see him run away ! 5 stars because they deserve it ! We’ve had problems with raccoons in the shared attic of our 6 unit townhouse block two years in a row now. We had work done by one of Skedaddle’s competitors last year. This year when the raccoons returned, all of our neighbours decided that they wanted to have work done on their soffits and downspouts. Skedaddle provided a better quote than the contractor we used last year, with a better warranty (lifetime), with MUCH better customer service. The Technician that did the initial assessment was helpful, listened and only quoted me on the services that we wanted done, without trying to oversell. Once I called Skedaddle to let them know that we wanted to proceed with their quote, they immediately contacted my neighbours to confirm their cost and credit card information and then called me right back to book the appointment two days later. We heard mice in our ceiling so my wife did the research and found that Skedaddle was very well reviewed so we gave them a call. Someone came by a couple days later and walked me through everything in the house, showed me all of the potential points of entry and how to seal them off without affecting the proper function of the house (i.e. weeping holes, etc.). He explained that he could remove them humanly and seal up the house with properly, but that it would be much cheaper for me to just spend a weekend doing the work to seal off the entry points and catch the mice myself. In the end I saved a bunch of money and had all of my questions answered, and some things explained that I never even thought of. Well worth the call.

Few weeks ago a friend who lives on lake Erie was (without notice) left in charge of dealing with a neighbour's raccoon problem. They did a good job removing a fairly large birds nest from our soffit, clean up, and patched it up nice. No complaints there. Also very friendly. 3 stars because we made it really clear that they needed two people to do the job, they showed up with one guy and had to reschedule. Also the day they did the job, it took them 40 min and charged us $850. I feel like that's a bit steep. But looking back on it, I think I might quit engineering and come work for you guys!

I just wanted to share my experience with Skedaddle Wildlife Control Company. We had a rodent problem in our home, rats to be exact. With my wife and I having an 18 month old at home, and another baby on the way, we had to act fast to get this pest problem looked after. We called Skedaddle and they promptly came to the residence within 24 hours of us calling the office. We had a large family of rats living in our crawl space that where entering the home from a hole under our siding. Corey and Chris quickly identified the problem and started the process to get them out of the home. Mitch, (I appreciated your running late call, thanks) identified the entry point with the use of a state of the art drone to pinpoint where the animal was getting in, then confirmed there was a Racoon present by entering the attic. The next day, Dylan and Ben repaired the entry point damage, fabricated custom-made vent covers, secured and sealed common points of wildlife entry, inspected and disinfected the attic area, and finally installed a one way exit door which allowed the Racoon to escape and not re-enter. They originally said there was an $85 fee for a quote -- which is unheard of. I said no way, and that fee was quickly waived. They booked me an appointment same day. The inspector (Glen) who came out was extremely nice and thorough. However, their price is astronomical compared to other companies. I was quoted nearly $1800 for a squirrel problem, and optionally over $2000 for what is a non-existent raccoon. They claim their price is justified by their warranty, but (most, not all) other companies offer warranties too. Every company I've spoken to since this quote, knew exactly who it was when I said I had a VERY high quote already. I've since had 2 additional quotes at less than 1/3 of their price (with warranties). I've been informed twice now that they had to change their company name because of the bad reviews under the old one. Brutal, just brutal.

Our home had mice problem for months. We tried using many different types of mouse traps but nothing worked. We called skedaddle humane wildlife and they came the very next day sharp at 8am. They did a inspection all around the house and found multiple holes for mice to enter. We decided to go with them because they solve the root problem of sealing the entire house from any rodents coming in. We were starting to hear noises for a couple of weeks on what sounded like little footsteps running around in the attic. The sounds were loudest in our son's room and our bedroom. One day when I was cutting the grass in the backyard I spotted a black squirrel come out of the soffit and scale the wall, when it was on the wall I could still hear noises coming from the soffit which indicated that their was more inside, we automatically thought it must be a family inside which got us really worried and we knew we had a bigger problem than we originally thought. We searched online and found Skedaddle. In a few days we met with Ben who came by to check out our house and all the potential problem areas. Ben was very professional and understanding and he didn't come across as a guy just trying to make a buck or sell us stuff we didn't need which we really appreciated. On the day of removal, Damien and Lucas showed up. Damien was in one of those hazmat suits and searched the entire attic and to our joy the attic was not breached by the squirrels and there were no babies. Damien and Lucas then focused the rest of their efforts outside, as soon as they put the ladder up near the soffit the two squirrels ran out. It appeared the squirrels were just using the soffit as a bedding area. They installed a one way cage in the area of the soffit the squirrels were coming and going, just in case a third squirrel was left inside. For the remainder of there time they took care of all our perimeter problem areas, covering wall vents, fixing panels, etc. Damien and Lucas were very professional, polite and kind. They worked about 3 hours in the rain and humidity and didn't complain once. We had been struggling with mice in our kitchen for several years. We tried everything to get rid of them from traps and poison, to steel wool and high frequency sound rodent repellers. Eventually we decided we needed to call someone for help. After reviewing several companies on line, we decided to have Skedaddle come and take a look. They sent someone to do a full inspection of the exterior of our home to identify where the mice may have been getting in from. They found several locations that needed screens and special sealants to keep the mice out. They even took video to show us where the mice entry points were. That was so cool! I had a bad experience with this company, different than what expected from their advertisement. I had a problem with a skunk( skunks ) under my deck.The first day Rene came on time for assessment. He confirmed the situation with skunks under the deck and he gave me a quote of $2600 for wildlife exclusion, installing and removing a one way door(10 min work) and trenching and screening two sides of my deck(40 feets). The day after two peoples showed up and trenched and screened two sides of the deck without inspecting underneath and leaving all the roots and dirt behind. After a week, I did not see any activity and I still could smell the skunk. I called them and they said I had to wait and they would inspect under the deck. They did not have the proper camera and equipment to see under the deck and they suggested to remove my deck to inspect underneath which possibly would brake. After several back and forth conversations they returned a part of my money. At the end of the day, I payed more than $2100 just for trenching and screening two sides of my deck, I never knew what is going on underneath and I still can smell the skunk sometimes!

We wanted a company that would deal with the issue thoroughly; both my husband and I worked in restaurants and we've seen how ineffective the poison and trap methods are. It has been 5 weeks since Skedaddle came and ealt with my racoon issue in my attic. 5 weeks and not a peep, so I can safely assume the problem is solved. The use of the one-way doors to the roof access points was a great solution. I must also write that both my inspection day and work day had brutal weather. I would not have been surprised, nor upset, if they had to cancel, but they came anyway and did great work. They communicated the end to end process very well and all in all it was a totally professional encounter. I would not hesitate to recommend Skedaddle.

Had a suspected skunk dig a den under our front porch. Called Skedaddle upon recommendation of the Oakville Humane Society. The inspection by James was timely and professional, as was the work done by Stuart to install a one-way door and screening. What I am not pleased was, this all happened a month ago, and there has been zero follow-up since. The one-way door still remains. It seems that once the credit card charge goes through, the customer service drops off. I was charged a not insubstantial amount of money for basically a 20 minute quote and 2 hours of work. I'm not quite sure what I paid for and wish I had called around for additional quotes, but that's on me. Update June 16: Spoke with Ryan shortly after this review was posted and they immediately booked a follow-up visit to remove the door and hole, and provided a slight discount for my troubles. No complaints about the quality of work and was happy they followed up to make it right.

To start, I'll go with the pros - the company overall was very responsive to our request for help and arranged a representative to come to our home for an assessment the same day we inquired. The man who visited our home to inspect the issue was pleasant and showed a great willingness to help, however overall the $96.05 we paid for the assessment wasn't worth the information or solution we were provided. What we were led to beleive would happen on this assessment, was not what occurred. The Rep came in, and declined looking at the open crawl space area inside our home, where a skunk has made itself a home, but instead only looked outside to point out where it got in from - this information we already knew as its quite obvious and apparent. We were given no info on anything else in the matter - like tips in dealing with skunk scents, behaviours or any info on what we're e really dealing with. We were quoted a starting price of 655.00 to have a one way door installed, and after 30 days they'd check back to seal the hole and deodorize (which hasn't been needed yet) There was no solid plan to ensure the animal would exit as they planned, and after online research, found this is something we could do ourselves at about 1/5th of the cost. I understand other costs are at associated with a business, however the long story short is - at best we pay 800 total to have a screen installed to cover the entry point once the animal has left, and at worst we pay 800 to have no solution provided. After discussing my situation with co workers, an exact situation happened to my coworker, the animal extraction was unsuccessful and the company took the materials and offered no further assistance - she ended up buying her own one way door and successfully encouraged the animals exit by using lighting and noises. Overall, I really love the humane approach this company takes, however the pricing model is atrocious and there is no customer education aspect, which is expected when professionals visit your home.

Came to check on a critter concern in the middle of winter, discovered there was no serious issue, and advised that I call again in the Spring so that they could have a better look at a possibly damaged area of the roof. So i had been hearing strange sounds daily and nightly in my walls and ceiling for a while, it all started after i redid my siding. I previously had a few other companies come by and all they did was put a few poison traps in a few areas of the house, even though i said i had never seen any evidence or a rodent inside the house. They also through a bunch of poison into the attic space on top of the insulation. Rene, the rep in Ottawa, showed up exactly on time, he was incredibly professional the entire time, and seemed genuinely to like his job and took it seriously. He immediately gave me a sense of trust knowing i was in good hands. He did a thorough inspection, listening to the sounds i was hearing, walking around the perimeter of the home, looking for tracks in the snow, searching for any evidence. In the end, he confirmed there was no mice, or rats or any rodents, and that it was the house siding, and roof that was making all the sounds. He explained exactly what i should've been hearing if it was mice, or rats or squirrels, and that it wasn't that. The other companies threw the poison and charged me $350 for it and nothing changed. He used his expertise to identify the situation and determined nothing else to be done, and didn't just throw down poison. He also didn't charge me anything. I highly recommend these guys, and i would call them again in a heartbeat if i ever had any issues in the future.

They had to dig a trench and install metal caging around the shed and deck with two one-way doors and due to the orientation of both the shed and the deck, there were huge rocks, a neighbours fence and massive tree roots that they had to work around and they did it without one complaint. He had the doors propped open on either side of him but that didn't stop him from flashing his junk in front of my grandchildren. It has taken me almost a week to write this review because I'm absolutely appalled by the barbaric behavior. It's 2019, have some respect for others and go to a gas station.

this is, quite simply, the best pest control company there is in the Ottawa region, where i live. Emily, the representative who answered a few of my calls before and as the process got underway was so reassuring and kind, not to mention knowledgeable. it was a pleasure speaking with her whenever i needed to get some answers. Curtis, who did a survey of the house and provided me with an estimate to have the mouse problem dealt with, was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and patient as he fielded my many questions (as was Adam, who accompanied him). Curtis explained what it is Skedaddle would do (ensure that the mice leave and don't return; and seal the house, actions for which they offer lifetime guarantee), and I did not feel at all pressured to make a decision to have the problem dealt with. this is something i particularly appreciated. Furthermore, Curtis explained the process, of pest-proofing the house, very well and made himself available afterwards to answer questions i had after the initial meeting. The technicians who subsequently did the sealing of the house and setting up of one-way doors were equally wonderful. Rayce and Ollie explained what they were doing, talked to me of what they found, by way of small spaces in the siding which showed signs of mouse entry and exit, and were at all times respectful of me and my property. they left the house spic and span! i am most grateful to all of them especially for the manner in which they conducted themselves and for their reassurance! i would recommend them to anyone facing a pest issue in their homes without reservation.

A few weeks ago, we discovered that a mother red squirrel and two pups had taken residence in our attic. We called Skedaddle who returned our call the very same day. We arranged for an on site estimate and within two days, Adam and Andrew were back to set up one way doors and squirrel proof our house. By the next day, the little family had vacated our house. Not having experienced this situation before, we emailed Adam with follow-up questions to which he responded promptly. Not long after, Andrew returned to remove the one way doors and cap the entries so new tenants would not be able to move in. A few years ago we had an issue with squirrels in our attic, then we had mice. Skedaddle did both of the jobs to animal proof our home. This past fall we had the cedar shakes replaced around our dormer window. The cedar shake installer assured us the metal framing that Skedaddle had installed had been put back in place and we trusted him. A few weeks ago we heard scratching in the roof, called Skedaddle (excellent receptionist who always answers the phone with such good humour and understanding) and a site visit was scheduled quickly. Skedaddle technician, Joe Russell, came to the house and spent about 3 hours in the freezing cold weather doing a thorough check of our garage, around the entire perimeter of our house, and our roof. Joe had to end up replacing the metal framing around the dormer because the cedar shaker installer had ruined the work Skedaddle had done to prevent squirrels from getting into the attic. This might sound like it was a quick fix but Joe had to spend at *least* an hour on the roof, up and down the ladder, and he did all the work with a smile and to top it off - Joe said no charge for the work. Now THAT is customer service. We have recommended to all our neighbours who have had the same issues and continue to highly recommend Skedaddle to anyone needing such a service.

The work is neat and time efficient. He also fix all the shingles that were loose (which is not in the quote) and posed a danger for racoon to get in without charging more money than I agreed. We recently needed professional advice on mice control/extermination, so immediately we thought of Skedaddle. We have used their services over the years to help us remove squirrels at various properties, and have always been impressed by their professionalism and honesty. No squirrel has returned in over 10 years! It is without hesitation, or even considering contacting a competitor, that we chose to call them with our new problem. Once again, we were not disappointed. After explaining our situation, the lady who took the call gave us an appointment for a few days later with a technician to inspect and review our options. The gentleman showed up on time, and as promised when we contacted them, gave us a call 30 minutes before arriving to the property. He was even a little ahead of schedule, which worked out very well! It is so comforting in this day and age to be able to deal with a company that realizes that their customer's time is as valuable as theirs. Being an older property, we knew that it presented many "opportunities" for the little creatures to easily access the premises, but we still wanted the opinion of a professional in terms of what kind of options we had to control the problem (beyond the use of traps). The technician was very quick to assess the situation, and provided an honest answer: the cost to seal the house from our little friends would be in the order of $5k, but he advised against it (not worth it in our case due to the innumerable entrances for them) and instead suggested we use poison and traps, and gave us a strategy on how to use them effectively. On top of that he did not even want to charge us for the visit... Wow. Without hesitation we will contact Skedaddle again the next time we need help with any rodent or wildlife problems.

After hearing noises in our walls and ceilings, and actually finding evidence of red squirrels in our attic, we called Skedaddle for help. Charlie came out and initially did not find an entry point, so they did not charge us any fee. We called them back a few weeks later and they sent out another wildlife specialist who was trained to climb onto our very steep and complicated roof and found the likely entry points. Rene quickly gave us a quote and scheduled technicians on the spot to do the remediation. Within a week, Myo and Aura arrived on time, and worked for almost 6 hours in snowy conditions, and did an incredible job of installing screening, very neatly and thoroughly. So far so good, I can see the little monkeys running around outside but they have not gotten back in! I phoned Skedaddle for an assessment of a bat problem in my home. My main reason for calling them was that I had been suspicious of a Wildlife Removal "company" I had initially used, the owner of which claimed that he had installed a bat door on my home and performed the external sealing of any entry points. The owner of the previous company claimed that the work he performed was not visible, but he assured me it was completed and requested the agreed upon fee of $2400. I found out after Skedaddle's assessment of my home that the work was not completed and that the owner of the other company was a fraud. Not only did Skedaddle perform the requisite work at less than half the costs; they also provided me with pictures and other forms of evidence to assist me with building my case against the first company. Brandon was extremely helpful and really went the extra mile to help me out, especially after my negative experiences. My one advice to anyone with a wildlife problem is to just call Skedaddle. They are trustworthy and reliable and you will never have to wonder if they are a legitimate company.

We found out we had a litter of raccoons in our attic. We called skedaddle because we do not believe in killing wild life. We had our first consultation which showed us all the entries into our house that we should be aware of. The next day the crew were here bright and early ready for the job. The guys were professional and sympathic about the animals not being hurt and ensured me that they feel the same. They found 5 baby raccoons under a week old on the corner of the attic and placed them in a bag with the insulation around them so they would feel safe. The mother hid so they had to place a one way door for her to exit but could not return. The babies were placed in a heated box on top of our roof so the mother could find them and relocate them. Once the y completed that they put cages on our vents to raccoons could not enter our home that way again. They told us they will be back within 48 to check on the babies. After they left I heard the mother exit the house and actually caught her relocating the babies. I would highly recommend this company as they removed the raccoons without stressing the mother losing her babies. They believe in the same philosophy as I that all life matters!! They were fast efficient and very caring.

I am so glad that I called on Skedaddle when I realized that there was a skunk under my deck and to make matters worse mice in my walls. The Business Manager "Brandon" came to my house the same day to inspect the issue. He was very professional and explained their process with great detail. He assured me that no animals would be harmed via their unique process. This is very important to our family that loves any creature. The team came a few days later to install the one way doors. Again, the workers were very professional and ensured that trench that had to dig around the deck was put back in amazing shape. I am happy to say that our critters are now gone and I am one very happy person that I can use my deck this summer. I would highly recommend the Skedaddle team.

He came over this morning to inspect and do an estimate, not long after Alex joined him and they are hard at work sealing off the entry points. And there are many, some places you would never expect. Late August, 2020, rural Ottawa, Ontario: we found and successfully coaxed out 2 bats in the house over a 1 week period and called Skedaddle for a site inspection. The visit was arranged very promptly. I had already inspected the attic, finding evidence of bats and taken steps to let the bats escape but not re-enter in a couple of suspect areas. Skedaddle toured the outside of the building with me and provided expert, useful and highly relevant information about what was going on, what to do about it and what to expect. Overall our situation appeared pretty routine and not very serious and something which I could tackle myself. Expensive, incomplete 5 minute "inspection" and overpriced solution. I was very disappointed after reading such great reviews. We heard noises in our roof so we called Skedaddle for an inspection. The guy showed up and decided we had squirrels based only on the tracks in our yard, and assumed they were getting in from the side of the house. He said his ladder wasn't long enough to inspect any possible entry points and declined to use ours (?) Charged $100 for this 5 minute "inspection" (glancing at the snow in the yard), and gave us an estimate of CDN$1200+ to seal off the assumed entry points and install a one-way exit for the squirrel! All based on the tracks on the snow. We found another humane animal control service that identified and covered the entry point (the real one, which they found by using a ladder to look closely at our house instead of only guessing) and installed a one-way door for $300 total.

Despite repeated visits and a substantial fee, a different pest management company who provided a 5 yr guarantee, failed solve the problem of mice and flying squirrels in our attic. They were unable to find the entry point. After only 1 year, the company would no longer respond to me. (Eventually, I recovered their fee through small claims court.) The problem with squirrels and mice has recurred each fall. Recently, I contacted Skedaddle. Curtis offered to perform an inspection, simply to help me out. He clearly stated they would not accept the job because I am outside their service area. He arrived soon after we spoke, and just minutes after entering the attic found gaps along the entire length of the ridge cap of our metal roof. A different style of ridge cap should solve our problem. Curtis was helpful, prompt and very pleasant. He waived the inspection fee, despite his time and effort. Unfortunately, when I called today to ask about purchasing a one-way door from them or their supplier, the person I spoke to was not helpful or forthcoming with information. She could learn a lot about customer relations from Curtis. He was professional in every way possible. I really appreciated his willingness to help someone who was not a potential client.

We live in the country and have had mice problems for years - what made us call Skedaddle is we now had a bat problem. We needed to seal our house from any more pests and get rid of the bats that chose our roof attic to spend the summer. We had a mother racoon living in our attic with her babies. I emailed Skedaddle and within a few hours something responded to me and had team members booked to come and give us a quote. (We used the Ancaster location). The gentlemen that came out to inspect and quote were BEYOND helpful, professional and polite. I did not realize how much work they actually offer and provide. We were notified there was a chance that due to the location of the racoons and our house that it was a possibility a hole would have to be cut into our ceiling to extract them. Thankfully this was not the case! One of the guys that came on the day of the removal amazingly squeezed himself through our tiny attic (where no human should really be able to fit - so we are VERY impressed!) and removed the racoon family - there was no cutting into our ceiling needed. The removal team was SO amazing. They encouraged us to be a part of the process (watch, ask questions, etc). It was an entertaining experience to learn about the entire process. Even though I hope to never need them back here again, if we do then Skedaddle will be our first call. It was very easy (and fast) to book them to come and do the removal. Quote and removal happened within 3-4 days.

Animal Control, SPCA and Bear Creek all gave advice to call a humane wildlife remover and have them live trap and bring to Bear Creek to be treated but even with offering to pay anything, they said no. Five years ago a racoon family broke into the attic of our house in Ottawa and the firm we hired took two years to complete the job as the racoons kept returning and breaking in at the same spot. When squirrels broke in recently, we decided to try Skedaddle and within two hours of our call, their specialists arrived to assess the problem and other potential vulnerabilities. We particularly liked that he videotaped and photographed all the inaccessible areas so that we could be confident the wildlife intrusion prevention work had been completed. He also showed us that racoons had completely destroyed the soffit baffles in our attic five years ago, something the other firm had not even told us. We had a squirrel family in a basement wall in mid-town Toronto. Skedaddle went to great efforts to find and seal access points, and remove squirrels humanely. They used state-of-the-art drone and infra-red detection equipment and found a mother squirrel and her babies nesting inside the wall. They removed them carefully so as not to cause injury. Unfortunately a second adult squirrel in hiding quietly avoided their scans. Sadly, being trapped, this squirrel succumbed inside the wall. When advised, Skedaddle returned promptly to locate and remove the unfortunate animal, as well as disinfect the nesting area, all covered under warranty. Corey was very professional to deal with, and was able to make accommodations around our schedules, knowing that we aren't always home. The tech, Kai, that came to our house was really great. He was able to recover the young racoons from the attic and we came up with a plan (his plan, my agreement) re ensuring the babies would be taken care of as they were weak and it appeared maybe abandoned. Never went with skedaddle, but to have them come to your house is a 70 dollars fee. I feel probably most of the money is made off this fees, as I was happy to go with them until I found out that i would be paying 1500 dollars for their work. My other issue is the work wasn't directly related to my specific mouse issue I had, it was more about sealing every external spot of my house all the way around. Unfortunately I have a town house so if the mice was coming from my neighbor, they would not help with that so I could pay 1500 and be no better off. In reality i want someone to trace back where they are coming from and seal where they are entering.

The first visit two years ago was excellent. Curtis and his team are the best combination of personable and professional. I had had an issue with mice and after they sealed the house, I did not have an issue. About a year later I had the roof replaced including new air vents. What I did not realize was that the seal from Skedaddle around the vents were no longer there. The roofing company sealed them as per its specs but not to the quality of Skedaddle. Four days ago, I heard mice in the rafters/crawlspace. I called Skedaddle on a Sunday (and yes, there is someone on duty) and I was booked for a return visit on Wednesday by Curtis (the Manager). Again, checked everything and the only issue was the air vent that could possibly be an access. Even though there is a lifetime guarantee on Skedaddle's work, the change in the roof had absolutely nothing to do with Skedaddle. But, Skedaddle is returning next week to install its special formula and an exit door at absolutely no cost to me. I find that the original workmanship was excellent, but this follow up, even though it was my decision to make the change after the original work, was extraordinary. If you have need to rid yourself of wildlife (unless it happens to be your son throwing a wild party), I highly recommend Skedaddle and do ask for Curtis to be the one to do the assessment. It will be thorough and he will explain everything and do so in an easily understandable manner. I wish all tradespeople had the same work ethic.

I talked with their reception on the phone who told me that they did not offer free estimates. I asked if someone could check my attic to see if I had a bat infestation, and the person on the phone told me that, absolutely, and they will take pictures if they see anything / signs. The next day they came and talked with my partner who took time off of work just for this. They came and a guy looked around the outside and never came inside the house, except to introduce himself at the door, and never, not once, searched anything inside, let alone in the attic. He did charge us $100.00, though, and also left an estimate for thousands to come plug holes outside -- thousands to plug holes outside even though there's no confirmation that there's even a problem? Give me a break! Not what they promised and not what I expected and needed. Worse is that they will not respond to my calls. I have called numerous times to speak with a manager and no one calls back. Horrible service!

I cannot rate this company on it's service however I strongly disagree with their approach not to relocate the raccoon to another location. Releasing it back into the neighborhood simply perpetuates the problem (and perhaps business for your company) for other neighbors as the raccoon looks for it's new home in someone else's roof. They were very prompt in their response, detailed in their inspection and thorough in their recommendations. We immediately decided to hire them and have not regretted it. Not only did they remove the racoon and kits they sealed up all access points so racoons or any other animal cannot get back in. I had roofer come to do repairs. We had an issue with what appeared to be a raccoon in our walls. We called this company to see if they could come out and take a look. They came and did an assessment of the property and told us what they thought in their professional opinion. Ben and Neil arrived to our house about a week later and were both extremely professional and courteous. Unfortunately, they could not locate the raccoon at that time but put quite a few coverings over access points. They let us know what they were doing at all times and made sure to look over the entire property. I can't say enough good things about them. About 4 days later we saw that the racoon had found its way in through an area that wasn't originally screened off. We called again, unfortunately this was the only negative thing i can say about the company as we had just paid thousands of dollars but were told we would have to wait 6 days for someone to come back out and look at the issue. We could hear it in the walls and thought after getting all of this done we would be a bit more of a priority. When they did arrive 6 days later we were met by Chris Stevens. This guy realistically saved the day and my thoughts towards the whole process. We discussed everything that had happened and that was currently happening. He went the extra mile by making sure every spot of our house was carefully looked at again. He was able to locate a baby racoon that was stuck in our wall and talked over two options for us in removing it. He was able to cut a small hole in the wall and remove the baby safely and took it to a shelter. If anyone is ever looking to have something like this done Chris is by far the best person for this type of job. We cannot express how thankful we are to him.

Oliver and his team were working for another family across the street from our house when we returned from vacation to find a bat in our house. We had squirrels in our attic last fall. I tried all the remedies from the internet only to make the situation worse. Called Skedaddle and scheduled the next available appointment. Charlie promptly arrived and was very knowledgeable. He located the entry point and provided an assessment on the entire house, finding other potential problem areas. Friend helps to remove panels and seal on the front of the house. Bat was trapped inside the attic. Call Skedaddle, I TELL THE WHOLE TRUE STORY AND I WANT TO PAY TO GET THE BAT OUT OF THE ATTIC. Skedaddle inspector spent about 1 hour to inspect and identify the spot, I paid $700 to install the one way door for just about 10 min. The bat is NEVER GET OUT because that WRONG SPOT was identified. Call them back to check, they was sending manager (but not call me 1/2 hour in advance), quite to come, and walk away with no responsibility. I call the company again, they send the other inspector, his name Curtis Daniels. He is really a disaster guy, never climb up to check, just looking up and assume that he knows everything, then give me one more SCAM quote for about $1900 again. I told him no, need to install the one way door at the different spot to get the bat out because you guy installed it before with wrong place, he just was keeping argument. I can't believe the service that they provided , and not listening to the issue that customer has. They always blame that because we do our own work, and no guarantee for their work.

They were placed in a heated box on the roof near the chimney and the mother was seen relocating them in the evening before dark.
