Phoned Abell about an infestation of carpenter ants, or perhaps termites, in my home. Spoke to a phone rep who took my contact info and asked me to E-mail photos of the insects and frass. I did - - - and never heard back. I eventually called a smaller company, which took care of the problem promptly and completely. No way I'll ever call Abell again.

Took him less than 15 minutes and they guarantee the work for 100 days. Paid by visa. Would definitely use them again.

I’ve dealt with Abell on different levels. That’s why I rated them a 4 star. Management is the reason they received the 4. The technician would be rated less but this is individualized and wouldn’t be fair. I feel though when paying for a service, you should feel as though you are being taken care of not taken advantage of. So please be on top of the staff who are out there on a monthly basis with your regular customers. I was told it was like insurance, but it also is a service and people like to see something provided when paying for a service. I just want to make note that our original technician was exceptional!

Had Abell come in to spray inside and outside last September. The lady bugs are gone and we are very happy. I have a yearly bee problem at my house and I usually call Abell to come deal with it. This year I was having issues with larvas, ladybugs, moths and flies somehow getting into my house and decided to call them up. The person on the phone kindly explained that they had a package that delt with interior pests and we decided for them to come in every 6 months to spray the house. After waiting TWO weeks for them to actually show up, they send an utterly rude and moody employee who was not prepared to even look at my house after explaining my situation, or explain what he can do to help. Instead, he kept on saying "the people you called should have explained everything to you" and generally kept telling me that they cant deal with any of these pest issues and cant aid in permenantly getting rid of the bee problem. Afterwards, he proceeded to leave without actually giving any explanation towards what he can do for my house. I will not be dealing with this company again in the future as it is evident their recruiting and customer service has drastically dropped.

Please stay away from this company. I have had a problem with voles and called them for their service. The technician came out and committed to getting rid of the problem and guaranteed service for a year. He even indicated that they would escalate it to the second stage if the pellets did not work - well the pellets did not work. When I called them again, they coolly told me that the first year is only the first season and not a year. If I wanted their service again, with the escalated treatment, I would have to pay another $550. Please beware of this with their hidden underlying protocols. Please note that they never guaranteed anything for more than 30-90 days depending on how much you pay them. You only learn about that much later.BUYER BEWARE

Abell Pest Control was fairly good in removing a Wasp next from our backyard. The person who visited Shawn was courteous and professional and on time. I only wish he had come back to remove the nest after treating it because when we tried to remove it (after 3 days as instructed by him) I got stung by a wasp - a few were still lurking. Also I found the cost to be pretty high for what was 30 minutes of work but I could live with that had I not been stung by a wasp after the treatment.

Terrible. We have been annual customers, but when the mice seemed to have gone, they stopped coming and so the mice came in again. Initially, the rep didn't even find the spots that the land lord ended up identifying and fixing. Now mice are back because no one has even been here to check in on us. They relied on us to book appointments which are supposed to be regularly scheduled visits. Shannon only came last minute when she could squeeze us in because she was in the area and if that last minute text didn't work, she failed to follow up and reschedule. What kind of company takes your money and then doesn't do the thing? I called three times this week looking to make an appointment and was told I would receive a call back 3 times and nothing. The woman on the phone was not interested in my feedback. I was given an email to write to and no response. I see a lot of 5 star ratings on here which might be for one-time solutions, but I am thoroughly disappointed with their so-called "service."

I've been dealing with them for 3 years and now I'm getting ride of them. The first year the guy who came to my house to spray for spiders he was fine I didn't see any spiders or the odd one sometime. The year after the same good guy was gone he wasn't with them anymore, after multiple phone calls and screw up they send me another one. That year he had to come back 4 times in the summer for spiders because they kept coming back. In mid summer he came back within 1 month because the spiders were back full force. I had my addict fog for cluster flies also which kind of help with the flies in the house. This year again absolutely no control on the spiders (they are franchisee and I think he dilutes his product with water thus the fact the spiders are always coming back compare to the first guy on the first year of spray) I had this guy schedule mid to end of September to fog the addict but for personal reason I had to cancel and reschedule him in late October. That was fine, one day he calls me he hurt himself and he said "somebody from the office will call you I have no idea who and when somebody will show up to fog your addict" On October my husband got a call from someone we have absolutely no idea who he is and he asked the hubby "Is everything is OK" and my husband said yes not knowing who he was and for what reason he called. On the Monday nobody shows up to fog the addict. Now I called them asking for a refund because they didn't do their job they keep bsing me and lying. Do yourself a favor and don't deal with scamming liars otherwise you will be a sorry soul. Update: I had the route manager over to my house and we had a discussion about the fact that I wasn't happy with their service and he gave me a free year spray and the problem was fixed. This year the spider problem was way down.

I had a very bad experience with this company. When speaking with the manager he told me I could be lying about my claims of still having bed bugs because the technician said they were dead upon this arrival. Luckily I had taken video with time stamps. After 3 treatments I still had bed bugs and was only refunded half of my money back. Never use them again. I have never been treated with so little respect in my life. Ended up using a company that uses heat treatment. One heat treatment and I haven't had an issue since.

We had an issue with a huge infestation of yellowjackets inside our gymnasium. One company wouldn't even come because they said they wouldn't be able to find the hive. However, Michael came out the next day. He was professional, friendly and helpful. He did detective work around the building, even went up on the roof, and found the hive and promptly got rid of it. Because of the size of the colony we had some wasps come back two weeks later. Michael came out to do another application for free within a couple of hours of my calling. I would highly recommend this company.

I was lucky in that within 1 hour that I called for service, Lennie the technician was at my door, it took the wasps 3 days to build a relatively large hive on my fence. It was located in an area I use to get from the front yard to the back yard. They are now for the most part dead and I will clean up the hive later once the last of the wasps have left. I was reluctant to do it myself so the cost was well worthwhile.

I reached out to Abell and connected with Lucie who was the most wonderful customer service person. We were initially given some outdated instructions from the property owner on how to prep the property for treatment. It was overwhelming. The individual would not have been able to facilitate this on our own. Very quickly Lucie assured me that there were new instructions, much less daunting. She was right! Had a Bug Problem in my apartment building. the tech gave me a checklist of things to bag. i did this but forgot a area in my room and some papers on my table. it could have taken me 5 minutes to bag the items but the tech said that he had made a personal appointment in an hour and couldn't wait. obviously wasn't making enough time to do his job. he said he would be back the next week. he wasn't back for over a month. when he got back i had EVERYTHING bagged. he said he would be back in two weeks to do a second spray to make sure they are dead. over a month later they still havent been around. rent time come around and i finally see my landlord. he tells me "not this coming friday but the next Friday they bug guy will be back to spray again" by this time my place is infested with bugs again. even my landlord noticed. so the tech would have to come and spray AGAIN after this. I booked my day off to make sure i dont miss him. so i Re-bag anything i had to take out for living. and on the said friday the tech does not show up. after i am sure he is not showing up i call my landlord to no answer. i leave a messege and i get no answer or call till this day. at the same time i call Abell directly and they tell me they can not talk to me but they can forward me to the tech in sudbury and to leave a messege. i do so and still to this day. i never got a call back. the next day i call Abell and tell them this exact story and they tell me that there is nothing that they can do until they talk to my landlord. no sympathy and so far none have called me back. if it were up to me i would not recommend this company to clean my appartment let alone do pest control in the Sudbury area

We called Abell Wildlife control to help us with an issue of birds attempting to build a nest in one of our vents. Adam came the next day to respond to our issue. He was very helpful, professional and gave us a thorough overview of our other vents and entry points that bugs or other wildlife could crawl into. He was able to resolve the issue of birds in our dryer vent and installed a new vent to ensure the issue doesn’t reoccur. Adam also wore a mask the entire time, kept a 6ft+ distance and provided hand sanitizer when he returned my payment card to me. They had great COVID precautions! Overall a great experience and now we have peace of mind that there are no more birds in unwanted areas of our house! 10/10 would recommend Abell to anyone with a wildlife issue in their home!
