It's a great place to shop Cashiers are always friendly If your looking for something specific you will always find a worker to help you out. It sure will be nice when this COVD19 is over so you can roam the isles freely. They also have Curb Side Pick Up ☎️
UPDATE: my call to the Customer Contact Centre didn’t resolve the problem but I called the Bancroft Store GM who honoured the sale price and apologized for the inconvenience. I’m a happy guy. And I didn’t have to build the Log Splitter which is a huge win. Original Post: I had been waiting for a log splitter to go on sale. I’d been saving up, and getting gift cards from family for birthdays and Father’s Day, but also decided to get a CT credit card to make the purchase happen. So I went into the store last week and I approached the customer service clerk and explained I wanted a log splitter that was on sale and needed a credit application and she said she wasn’t sure if they were doing apps in store because of COVID. I didn’t like the “not sure” response but she said I could do it online myself which I thought was fine and was approved for $3000. So then I called the store to make sure the inventory that was showing online was accurate and explained I now had approved credit and casually asked how they’d get my credit card number while I waited for the card so I wouldn’t miss out with on the sale. The lady told I had to wait for the card and then asked me why I didn’t fill it out in store because then they could access my credit card number. I was quite annoyed now since the other staff member staff sent me away and I think it’s just because she really didn’t want to do the credit app or find out. Had I known they couldn’t pull up my account afterwards, I would have asked the lady to make sure apps couldn’t be done in store. So then I asked if they could put the a splitter aside for me and I was willing to put a down payment on it and the lady said that everything was first come, first serve. I was trying to spend $1399 and they didn’t even try to solve the problem that they created. Seriously, they didn’t want my $1399. I am expecting the card any day now but now the splitter I wanted is back up to $1799. I’m a loyal Canadian tire customer but this is experience has left me questioning whether I should start shopping somewhere else. I’ve got other complaints about catalogue items not even being in inventory but I think my post is long enough. I get that COVID has made things more challenging but I lost out on a sales item, and CT Bancroft lost out on $1399 simply because the staff member didn’t want to find out if I could do a credit app in store. That lady didn’t even try. I also drove 45 minutes to the store and 45 minutes back. A complete waste of time and this has happened twice recently.
Oh the employees at the Bancroft location are crazy great! They are so excited weather you're paying you master card or buying batteries feels like I'm wanted there every time I walk in!
Pretty much always have what I go there for at a price I can afford. Also, I'm surprised at some of the reviews, since I've never had any real problems with any of the staff. The vast majority of the time the staff are a Hoot ! - My guess is that the staff's attitude is most likely a reflection of the customer's attitude ! . . .
Groceries, dollar store and a pizza place. All good.
Because
Crowded but ok.
Yep Id have to agree with J Char 100% on this very sad such a shame its gone this way .... Maybe change the name to "LIBERAL TIRE" now would suit you guys alot better !!!!!
Great always a plaseant place to brouse !
I recently ordered a plow for my truck online to be delivered to Bancroft store. 2 weeks later I received an email that the plow was no longer available. The plow still showed available online so I called the online service. They looked into this and found the plow I ordered and paid for was shipped to Bancroft and was given to some one else even though my order number was on it. Now over a week later still waiting for the replacement to show up. Plow finally showed up after missing 2 more promised dates. The Manager was very apologetic and gave me a discount for the trouble, and had his team load the item in my truck. Happy to have the plow now not happy about the circus it took to get it.
Now that Canadian Tire closes it stores now I can't get on the website to shop for my daughter for Easter i can't look at bikes or nothing. How is someone supposed too see what they get. Very disappointing.
Disorganized and not very well stocked
Nice store, clean friendly staff
The Canadian Tire in Bancroft has GREAT customer service.
They are trying hard to push self checkout
Big store with lots of selection.
It's got everything your looking for. Prices are reasonable.
Well stocked
Great sales for christmas staff is nice and friendly, cashier was amazingly helpful and friendly. Thank you kim for your help in the houaewares department and the lady she called to help is with Christmas tree
Great selection with very friendly knowledgeable staff.
Canada's Kmart. Yes, a full auto part shop, but so much more. This store has an excellent outdoor department with a really large fishing tackle section.
Bancroft mall should have everything you need great service too
Same as every other Canadian tire
Good mike and Ben are wicked help.in auto
Good selection of everything, especially outdoors equipment
Came in for a few small cleaning items when the lockdown ended. Lines were moving well, and the door greeter was very friendly. I don't her name, but one of the employees that works on the floor is FANTASTIC. Always extremely friendly, positive, and more than willing to help. I've described things to her in the weirdest way and she knew exactly what I needed and helped me find it, along with providing ideas for the job itself. If I find out her name I'll update the review, as she deserves a raise. I believe she works in / around the hardware section.
At the fishing area, the service was baaad!!! The young man was useless!! - 1 ????
Interesting selection of guns
Great staff. They just do not carry as much as most Canadian Tire stores.
Need a better washroom
I'm always looking for a deal when I'm there
Staff are nice and helpful at this store.
It's a Canadian Tire
Found what we wanted
Very organized and Clean. Customer service is unbelievable. You don't see this kind of service in the city. Boxing week sales were a plus.
Someone helped me pick out a window wiper, but grabbed me a driver's side instead od passenger side. Exchanged it quickly, after I noticed (when I tried to put it on). Simple mistake, and I had a nice time helping an older man learn how to use the touchscreen to find wipers for his own car. Other times I have been, there have been plenty of people around to help me look for something.
Its good but some of the employees are a little bit chessed 90% of the time
Friendly and helpful staff, except for one particular customer service manager. Returns must be fought for even when it's clearly within policy, and are given so begrudgingly it's as if the money is coming out of her own pocket. It's so silly, I shop at many Canadian tires, and I only experience that at this store.
Big store with good selection. Service is spotty. Checkout can be slow. Poor returns policy with very slow service.
It had a sale
(Translated) There ruxe (Original) There ruxe
Courteous and quick customer service at the curbside pickup. I love shopping here.
Better than most.
good
Good service and good quality
Its Canadian Tire. Great customer service at this small town store.
This place is a hit or miss on the customer service ! Yesterday I had a great one ???? I feel like management should work on the customer service ( staff being more friendly)!
Everybody, is ALWAYS SteALiNg...
So many tires!
Usually has what I need
Typical
Disappointed in the customer service department. Hard to find someone to help....
Great selection in the hunting and fishing section always walk out with something new
Friendly staff very helpful.
Nice Canadian Tire. Got some good advice from the guy at the parts counter for some boat problems. Prices were great and checkout was fast. Lots of great toys for he cottage for sale in here too!
Good
They have what you need.
love that store, new owners know how to stock it !!
They have tires
Helpful staff
For a small town they have a good selection!!!
Great service.
They tried putting item back that was returned missing pieces at full price... This store is always sneaky
Gave us the wrong parts
Clean and organized helpful staff
Great staff, great store, but the curb-side pick up self-check-in system is flawed. It doesn’t give any user feedback, 3 times out of 3 I see confused customers and chaos.
Nice store.
Before writing this I read the reviews and found some of the complaints about customer service disheartening. However, my experience with an employee, Jessica in Hardware was amazing. She was pleasant and was determined to make my experience a great one. The icing on the cake was when she noticed a cut on my hand and offered me a bandage. I thank you. I'm 70 years old and Jessica was a breath of fresh air in an era where customer service is getting more like the experiences of some of the lesser ratings this store is experiencing. I hope management recognizes people like Jessica and her great work ethic. Larry
I'm normally a very patient and understanding individual when it comes to retail purchases, returns etc, but the service at this location is just atrocious. If you are just looking to walk in, buy a product and then leave i suppose its fine. But if you aren't use to the layout, have a question or just want to be treated like more than a dollar sign, then head elsewhere. After my latest experience, that's what I plan on doing. I worked in retail for a number of years and I can understand what its like to be on the receiving end of customer's frustration (even when something isn't your fault). But every time I visit this location they are obscenely rude, don't converse with you unless its to tell you how much change/total is owed, and they are so unhelpful its almost unfathomable. I attribute all this to poor management, because I have never experienced such poor customer service in any other Canadian Tire location. Its frustrating because I have been a patron of this company for the last 15 years and I always speak so highly of its products and services. Unfortunately, I feel as though I should warn my friends, family and any other individuals visiting this location.
Mom say's....I'm not supposed to say anything if I don't have anything nice to say...bye.
alway what U may need good cost
Huge fishing and outdoor selection friendly knowledgeable staff
I used to hold out on buying items in the city and try to support the stores in Bancroft but after the holidays, I will no longer do that for Canadian Tire. They refused to honour the 5$ off energy coupon issued by the Government! Then they didn't believe that the light bulbs were included on the rebate so they called the Ottawa store where I had purchased the same bulbs with the coupon. After they had me wait at customer service for 15 minutes so they could call the store in Ottawa, the associate on the phone told them that they honoured the coupon. They still refused to honour the coupon!! I asked for the store manager and she had already spoken to the associate and refused to even listen to me! I wasn't looking to trick anyone or take advantage of anyone and it was confirmed by the Ottawa store. Terrible experience and terrible business move on their part. I wont drive out of my way to go there anymore and ill do my shopping at Home Hardware or back in the city. Truly disappointed.
Friendly and easy to deal with staff. Took good care of us during our visit. Our car broke down and they were able to fit it in to see what might be wrong with it. Thank you!
Our car broke down about 20 minutes outside Bancroft on Saturday and we were towed to Canadian Tire after the auto service had closed. The service manager, Fred Potts told us we could leave our information and they would work on our car first thing on Monday. True to his word, when Monday morning came around Fred ensured that or car was looked at as soon as they opened and kept us updated. But, what was really phenomenal was how Fred responded when we learned our car was beyond fixing. He helped us try to sell our car – since we didn’t know the area – called car rental places for us, called a taxi for us to take us to where we were renting our car from, and arranged for a local scrap yard to buy our car and take it off our hands. He also offered to drive us - during his break – to the car rental place, if the taxi was too expensive. My husband and I are fairly young and had never been in a situation like this before; having the support of Fred Potts and the Canadian Tire staff was a huge comfort to both of us.
Curb side pickup is a joke. They expect someone to wait 4 to 5 hrs to get a simple item off of the shelf. What are these employees doing inside the store if they can't simply walk over grab an item and bring it outside? I used to enjoy shopping at this store but now its a joke. Amazon is making billions while small businesses are dying off.
Huge outdoor section with a great selection.
Aisles are narrow and a bit crowded. But otherwise a typical Canadian tire.
This is where camo was born.
It would be nice if the staff would take their air pods out of their ears while WORKING. He actually had to REMOVE the ear bud to even hear me when I had to repeat my question.... …
Purchased a kayak at this location and found every member of the staff to be very courteous and friendly.
Closest Canadian Tire outside of Huntsville if you are on the South East Side (East Gate) of Algonquin Park. It is not a "mega" store, but it has everything you need. If you live in the area you can order items to the store for easy pickup. Staff are polite, usually helpful and expected knowledge base for a Canadian Tire Store.
Good shopping experience and friendly staff and covid protocols being very well followed.
Have a cottage up this way and they always have what I need unlike the inventory issues in the city.
Took the wife's car in to have tires installed & changed around, they stripped one of the wheel studs& never even mentioned it. But made a note on the service order that one of the wiper blades had a crack in the rubber. I discovered the stripped stud& returned to tell them, they blamed me for doing it.
Super helpful staff, I can always find what I need and if I can’t then they order things in, love this store!!
Hate those self serve tellers
Good little Canadian tire. Everything you need. Problem is on Saturday Tom Hunt and his dog are there.
It's got what you need
Your regular Canadian Tire.
Great people they didn't have what I needed, but they showed me were I could get what I needed with their competition. Very thankful.
Customer service was not very nice.
Well stocked and clean with vrerh helpful staff
This covid situation has made staff and customers forget to be civil to one another. Also blocking the ends of isles in order to create a ridiculous one way system presents a serious situation if there ever was an emergency. Not a pleasant visit at this Canadian Tire store
A bit chaotic in store, but the staff is handling it really well and are very helpful. And pick up of pre-ordered items is a breeze.
This is the worst Canadian Tire. Employees very public about hating working there. Never found a pleasant employee. And the worst, most unfriendly ones work at the Customer "Service" desk. Have to go there as it's the only one in miles.
Though I sincerely acknowledge these are unprecedented times and staff are exhausted and stressed, so too are customers who are doing their very best in this new world. Going into a store is now foreign and intimidating to say the least, completely outside our norm. Though the store layout and practices may be old hat to staff, this is not true for those of us who’ve been home for 2 months or more (for your safety and of course our own). 100% of the customers I encountered maintained complete distancing, where helpful in guiding each other through the store (especially areas that seemed to put us in a perpetual loop ... had some good chuckles) and kind. I wish I could say that for ALL the STAFF where so rude and made the experience all the more uncomfortable and exceedingly even more intimidating. Did I make mistakes in my nervousness? Most likely, but I was navigating while being fast to allow others constant flow in the store. Came home with 50% of what I needed. We’re in this together people ... each with our own stories and stresses ... rudeness and intimidation is not the answer, ever. I’m going to put this away and tell myself it was a coincidence that each staff member was simply having a bad day. The cashier was the icing on the cake, gave no verbal direction of how/where to proceed and succeeded making me feel supremely unwelcome. Come on people, we’re better than this.
Good service
They had the item I had been looking for and couldn't find in the city. I am happy I checked there.
Very friendly staff.
John in Auto service was great
Very nice store...great new and improved sporting section
Large store and lots of staff
This is a decent Canadian Tire with an excellent selection of outdoor and garden equipment and a wide selection of fishing and game equipment. Its a true Canadian Tire, not your run of the mill downtown store. Its a bit hard to navigate since its so packed with stuff. But you'll definitely find more than you would downtown here. The selection is much better and the prices are about the same.
GREAT SERVICE DEPARTMENT
The staff are just amazing. Couldnt of picked better people to show off a canadian store ♡
I was unable to find someone to help me. Just like every other Canadian Tire store I have been. Always disappointed with your lack of customer support. Not sure why I wasted my time again. I called, they took my info, and still no one called me back. Go figure!
Friendly service, clean store hand sanitizer readily available
All Canadian Tires are superb.
Lovely
Large and well stocked for summer
Store floors marked for social distancing but customers ignoring signs and staff, other then cashier's, are not redirecting customers. Store is cluttered and difficult to move around. Otherwise as far as a Canadian Tire goes, it's a Canadian Tire and mostly what is expected.
The employees there are amazing
Great Staff friendly and efficient service!
Good staff, very helpful.
Thank you for enforcing the mask mandate against these silly Karen’s. Absolutely wonderful employees too I will definitely shop here again
Great store. Just recently went in for some camping dishes that were in the flyer and the young lad went searching for it as it had just come off that days truck. Found it within minutes, where many would have said, it must be back there somewhere come back later. This store has always met our expectations!
Ordered on line. Pickup at the store.
It's a big store for a small town and has pretty much everything you would expect and more from Canadian Tire.
Wrong item given at curbside pickup. Was a cheaper item than what I paid for. Runner employee was really kind and helped me quickly.
Picked up an order purchased online
This particular Canadian tire is overcrowded with merchandise and just seems too tightly packed. Staff are super friendly. Depending on the reason for your visit you may be disappointed. I found their tool section small but their hunting section is large.
This was my first time into the Canadian Tire in Bancroft and definitely won't be my last. I got everything I needed and more. Bluetooth speaker to windshield wash fluid, oil and filter to cat food and litter. And who can forget sugar! And there wasn't a single shelf that wasn't fully stocked. Lots of friendly staff available and lots of computers to search if need be. I even got the wiring harness for my CD player in my van and antenna wiring. Plus a double charging cord. Amazed and I'll be back. :)
I recently broke down in a remote area north of Bancroft and was towed to the CT service centre after close on a Sunday night. I was stranded and had to stay the night. I spoke with Robert, a service rep, first thing in the morning and after explaining my situation he assured me that they'd try to get me back on the road ASAP. They did exactly that and I couldn't have been more appreciative. Many thanks to Robert and the mechanics working that Monday morning.
Not impressed with customer service. Definitely more concerned with corporate policy than being useful or personable. They find excuses not to assist you.
Very disappointed with the customer service at this CT..especially the manager! I’ll be using the home hardware going forward
The very best Canadian Tire Around, and good service and staff.
good place to get basic gardening and home repair items
Had what I went for easy to find, service was great
Nice store with friendly staff
If you don't like Canadian Tire, we'll never be friends. Go there, shop, enjoy.
The staff, even though they were running for the first major holiday in the country setting heat, were very helpful and accommodating. I appreciate things like this.
I love this Canadian Tire, the people that work here want to help in all your shopping needs. In Toronto or Etobicoke they dont want anything to do with you. Specially the one on Albion Mall..
Sarah gave excellent service the car was finished earlier than they said it would be and the price quoted was fair and reasonable
Helpful
The staff at this Canadian Tire care and are willing to help make your shopping experience better. Very friendly and happy to speak with. The girl at the customer service desk was exceptional! Thank you Canadian Tire.
Staff are always helpful, just little frustrated with directing arrows due to covid, otherwise everyone is super friendly.
Very good
I'm sorry for talking badly about the customer service at the auto centre of Canadian Tire Bancroft . It was Saturday August 5th 2017 around 9:30 . My husband wanted our car brakes to be fixed. We were in an art Show.. The guy in charge made both, a young guy and my husband to wait around fifteen minutes talking with another guy about the cars in a magazine. Then called the young guy in front of him. The "friend" came back again, talked for ten more minutes while my husband was waiting to ask a question. When finally his turn came He asked if the brakes could be fixed. He answered in bad mood that they won't do that because they would closed at 12:00 noon. Imagine My husband almost lost his temper. The guy saw him in the line from the beginning and made him waiting for around 25 five minutes talking nonsense with his friend. We are from Scarborough.
Guy at the service dest for parts and service was grumpy.
⭐⭐
Nice spacious clean store with everything you need for cottage Country. Lots of sale items. Helpful customer service and friendly cashier.
Easy layout found what I needed quickly and was back on the road.
It's your standard Canadian Tire store...Staff very helpful and friendly.
Thank you for squeezing my car in to get my tires done! My tires were in really bad shape, and they were fully booked, but they were able to get me in Soni could drive safely home (back to Ottawa) ! My car was done in the time the said and feels like a brand new vehicle. Price on the tires was good, and they tookt he old ones away (with a small fee) so I don't have to worry about them myself.
It's great in there. Sometimes the floor arrows are confusing, but only if you don't pay attention to where you are going. The app tells you what shelf and how many are left in whatever store your looking in, which makes navigating the store a lot easier. There is plenty of parking, and wheelchair accessible entrance. Friendly staff.
This place is great good people if u need help there is workers rite there to help messa
Great selection & perfect cottage country hours. Lots of parking & close to many other main staple stores. Always love to check out CT! Pricing is on point & sales are always ongoing.
Smaller store, friendly staff.
Regular Canadian Tire - same as every where in Ontario
Great store
Great store. We found everything we needed. Spent over$200. Love the big chair out front! Cashier was friendly.
Love this store!
A couple of weeks ago while driving through the area, my tire got a pin hole leak. Thankfully Canadian Tire was open and I spoke to Fred in the Auto Department who was able to arrange to take me right away. They fixed things up in no time and had me on my way. Thanks to Fred and the team for your friendly support!
Nice store. Staff are helpful but swamped with summer time business levels
Staff are excellent and will try to assist any way they can
Had to wait quite a while for my curbside pick up even though there was only one car ahead of me and I had received my email saying my order was ready.
Always friendly staff would like to see the store updated and renovated like Belleville in Peterborough
Went in for a truck battery. Good service in and out quickly
Great service today. Some businesses would just tell you what aisle to go down when looking for an item, but not Kim, she took me exactly to the item. She was very customer service friendly. It was like having my own personal shopper while visiting Canadian Tire today. We come every summer from Peterborough & always shop here. When I said Thank you to Kim for her help she said she treats all her customers the way she would like to receive service herself. They should make Kim, employee of the week. ???? Cheryl ????
Friendly staff but prices are high for the items that they have in stock.
I always have the best customer service at my Bancroft Canadian tire. My husband and I were looking for certain length of battery cable and were approached by a sales associate. He offered help and found us what we needed. Awesomeness! Updated April 16th 2020 : We called today to place an order over the phine due to COVID. Our sales agent Karen S. was the most patient and friendly lady and was such a pleasure to deal with. Thank you so much for all your help today, you are an amzing sales associate.
Great selection of outdoor and sports stuff.
Everyone at that store was so helpful and cheerful! Was great!
Very nice people service good
Shop here often when visiting friends. Anything you need they can order in. They are very helpful staff.
Love this store more than other CT's
Good place to shop
Very difficult to recommend this store. Staff are unwilling to help you with questions. Had a very unpleasant experience with a cashier. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Shop anywhere but here.
Impressed with the outdoors section here i never mind making the hour commute to check things out and i always find what i need !
5:25 pm shopping!
If you cant find it there us always a very helpful employee that will go the whole 9 yards to help
Typical Canadian tire but son the staff who work customer service are a bit hostile at times.
Friendly and helpful
One stop shop
Cashier was the nicest lady. Long cash out line that moved very quickly
No line ups, in and out with everything I needed in under 5 minutes! Clean store friendly staff.
Having the circumstances of driving an old and worn-out car has its challenges. The service, care, concern and adaptability of the Automotive group constantly gave me the most excellent service, customer care, understanding and flexibility in keeping cost down one could imagine. I trust them totally and need never find any other place to meet my automotive needs. I am treated like a friend and family. Sitting in the waiting room and listening to the abuse of anxious and fearful customers troubles my mind. Hats off to the service reps who calmly deliver daily excellence behind the desk and in the shop! .
Nice store, staff friendly and helpful
Good store
One stop shopping.
Just don't use their automotive dept and you'll be fine ;)
friendly but a concern returned a sleeping bag that cold spots when transaction was completed and cashier made a bunch of circles on my original receipt I asked for a receipt showing the return... you don't get one ... nothing even a photo copy? no never had this happen before you always get confirmation of the transaction
June 24, 2018 we had a flat in Killaloe and were told we could drive for five hours on the donut, I disagreed. When we got to Bancroft the service area was closed but my sister found someone to help us. Kevin was absolutely wonderful, my sister bought a new tire and he put it on for us so that we could continue to Peterborough and Stratford. Thank you Canadian Tire Bancroft and especially Kevin!
Handy store for everything from repairs to new items
I found everything I needed and the store wasn't busy or clutter the staff was very nice
Rudest Canadian Tire staff ever!! Will never walk into that place again! Disgusting and disappointing.
I was at the end of an isle with a cart. There was an employee with a cart blocking my way. I waited patiently until she asked if she could help. I told her nicely that id like to go down the next isle. If looks could kill ida been lying on the floor! My only alternative would have been to turn the cart around and wheel it back down that isle and around. She had to move her cart 4 feet! Im 61 years old and spent $415 in this store! In the future ill go to minden which is the same distance.
Friendly staff. Had what I was looking for. In and out in less then 10min
Went to Canadian Tire in Bancroft on the weekend to buy a generator. When I called about it, they told me that they didn't sell dual fuel generators and they were being discontinued and wouldn't be getting any in. To my surprise I seen that they had one in stock while online. I went to purchase it. They gave me the run around saying that because of covid I would have to go to the shipping department and load it there. Just pay for it first they told me. I did. I went to get it and they loaded it on my truck. I had other purchases but they were just rushing me to pay for the generator before I could get anything. I went back to the store today which is 2 days later. I explained to the manager Norma-Jean that I didn't realize it wasn't an electric start generator, she told me that I should have asked more questions, (which I am not sure I would have gotten an honest answer) and that it was an expensive lesson. She had no customer service etiquette what so ever. She was rude and this isn't the first time. It will be the last time I make an expensive purchase there. I will shop in the city from now on.
Typical ctc store in cottage country
Overwhelming with all the people, no one was following the arrows or giving me my 6 feet of space and there wasn't anyone enforcing it. I work in retail, I know how hard it is but the guidelines need to be followed.
by far the friendliest CT in the country
They almost always have everything I am looking for and most of the staff are very knowledgeable and small-town Friendly
Bancroft Canadian Tire has a huge assortment of everything you'll need while living in a cottage Country. They are stocking shelves regularly. I also like holiday teamed shelves. Even though Bancroft is small, happened to me few times that one person from staff was rude, what's funny that was the same person all those times and I am local. Other than that still 5 stars. I've been to few other Canadian Tire stores and this one is the best so far.
The lines and arrows for covid makes things complicated and confusing. Blocking off isles doesn't make any sense. It causes people to run into eachother, the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Super friendly staff that are knowledgeable make up for it but the floorplan needs to change. Take note to how no frills did things. It works.
Horrible they send out flyers and dont have the item in the store when you go.Dont send out flyers until ITEMS COME INTO THE STORE!!!
Very friendly staff, helped me load a patio dining set in my truck.
Very good and helpful.
A bit expensive for its selections but it is well stocked
My 2nd home
They are very helpfull
Pleasantly surprised. John in the service area very helpful and Mark the mechanic took time to show and explain the issue with my vehicle.
Nice store
Lots of products and very helpful staff. One of the biggest selections of guns and ammo out of all Canadian tire loacations.
Cashier was rude, staff didnt maintain physical distances and aisles poorly organized. Never go on the weekend!
Great help at lighting section
Very good service and super friendly people .
Not good
Customer service at the self-checkout Lanes has a lot to be desired
Well stocked
No comments
Always extremely helpful here in the sporting goods department
Well stocked, friendly staff!
Great store with helpful staff!
nice staff
Extremely poor customer service and disregard for the current pandemic precautions they should be taking...reported to their corporate office
It's Canadian tire. More than just tires. I used to love shopping there. Now the prices are no different than any place else. Poor quality. Mostly Chinese products.
Staff was helpful to us in a quick moments notice.
Friendly cashier. Good selection of stock. Aisles aren't well laid out for social distancing. Otherwise great.
Driving home from Algonquin I suddenly had problems with my brakes, so I stopped in at this location late on a busy Friday afternoon - within 5 minutes they had a mechanic looking for my problem and he found an almost invisible hairline crack in an air hose coupling. This he quickly replaced, and my brakes were as good as new. - they were helpful, and polite, and what is more - they did not charge me anything as the work had been done so quickly!
Department Head served us and was rude and miserable will try and go elsewhere in future
Standard CT. Staff were kind. Good selection of outdoor products.
Automotive slow service
Excellent auto service.
Well it is Crappy Tire, not much else to expect, good and bad products, good and bad sales. Employees so far seem to know what they are doing, no bad experience yet.
Fast and friendly service

Good selection and good service
Rudest customer service. We have a cottage in Bancroft and have been shopping this location for years. Every visit we’ve had the “ladies” working there have been extremely rude and unhelpful. I would recommend new staff that actually want to work & be helpful to customers.
Often short onspecials
Best Canadian tire I've been to, great selection for hunting and fishing, friendly staff , aside from groceries this Canadian tire is the only store you need when in bancroft
As always they were very helpful the store was very clean and I enjoyed my experience shopping there
Great helpful staff at part desk
Nice store. Clean and staff are quite nice.
Store is your typical Canadian Tire store. Some staff are rude and ignorant and shouldn't work there.
Customer service is poor
Big store lots of selection lots of parking
Everything you need
Very clean and neat store! Had everything right down to ice!
They do not honour mask exemptions. Extremely rude employees. Bancroft CT was my daughters and I favourite place to go for a day out together. We live in a rural area so a big retail store is a bit of a fun excursion for my 6 year old. I …
Yup, I 100% agree with J Charr. It seems as though a lot of Negative Reviews, Magically Disappear so that their Reviews look a lot higher than they actually are. Many Negative reviews seem to be Deleted????
Worst customer service experience in this store was buying skates and lady in sports refused to sharpin them told me to go to area I drop all purchases and left very rude another tome would not exchange a mastercraft flash light lady said how dose she know I bought it at Canadian Tire she didn't know mastercraft that how smart they are at this store
Dont buy the quantum fishing rods that are on sale. They all break at the tip.
Friendly and helpful service clean store Pleasant place to shop
We showed up in the middle of busy snow tire season with 2 sets of tires to swap over the day before the Rally of the Tall Pines and they kindly stayed late to get it done for us. If not for that, our race weekend would have been over before it started. Thanks!
Brought a tire to get a simple patch for a hole then they must have taken off the tire roughly since the rim cracked.
Great selection and almost always have the products that they advertize on sale. Staff are friendly they have a great outdoors section in the summer. I wish they would have a larger display area for the seasonal items...it a little cramped inside with everything they are trying to offer there customers.
Had the parts I needed
Can't go wrong with CT!!
Staff was friendly and I found what I was looking for and more. Like shopping here.
Iam a regular shopper at canadian tire. I wanted to return an item without a receipt. I bought it with a canadian tire mastercard and it was a canadian tire house brand. The card is supposed to make it easier to return merchandise. The woman at the return counter made it difficult to talk to because she seemed to be in a bad mood. I have never had a problem returning anything at canadian tire until this recent event.
Wahroom was a mess, with toilet backed up.
Great service
Ordered online to pick up in store. Waited 45 minutes in line to get to the only customer service person available. Unacceptable. When I finally got to the agent, I then , and still am, as we speak, waiting for my item to be brought up to the front. I I used to love shopping here, but I will NEver shop here again. The attitudes of your Bancroft Manager and customer service agent is horrible.!!!
One of the best Canadian tires that I have been to! Helpful staff that always makes you feel welcome.
Not very friendly staff in garden centre. I think they hate their jobs
Small store, but good collection of goods there.
Seemed organized well for Covid on a Sunday in a tourist town, your regular supercenter otherwise.
Great shopping and staff
Good visit. Helpful staff and ready assistance with a bulk puchase of totes.
I wanted to return a socket set after a ratchet broke the third time I used it. I did not trust the set to stand up to being “professional grade” as it claims. Was told I am unable to return it even though I bought it within 10 days. I would have to deal with the manufacturer directly. I guess Canadian tire does not stand by the products they sell. Terrible customer service.
i dropped in to this store to get some salt for our water softener, after being directed by several employees to where the salt was (couldn t find it and being directed again to another area of the store) i gave up and went to pay for what i had picked up, I mentioned to the cashier that I couldn t find the salt, and my back was bothering me so I was leaving the store. This cashier asked me to wait for a second, looked up where it was supposed to be , got hold of an employee, Wayne to bring me two bags which he carried out to my car for me.Thank you to operator #112 for helping me get what i came for. A very thoughtful and considerate employee. This tool place today on January 22/17 @14.48.
Well hot damn, if this place isn't the bees knee I don't know what is!

Only one cashier need more staff on a saturday morning
We went in just before closing (so sorry, folks!) looking for some gear to shore up our camping supplies on a rainy damp day. Staff was super helpful, made great recommendations and tried their best to help us, thinking outside the box, and even told us where to source something CT doesn't stock. Thanks, Canadian Tire Bancroft. I felt very served, I felt like I was in good hands and all in all, a perfectly Canadian experience.
Great service!
Enjoy this store. Staff are very knowledgeable realistic and helpful. Bought a canoe and they brought it to our car and helped us put it on top.
Wanted to say how exceptional the customer service was yesterday, by Jennifer McDougall. She made my covid, curb-side pick up easy and hassle free. Thank you Jennifer.
Over priced and lazy employees. We were at a cottage for a week and needed some after bite because it was an all you can eat buffet and we were the meal. Every place we checked was out and this was our last hope. We checked the spot where the after bite was located and the shelf was empty. We asked an employee if they had any more and he had said if the shelf is empty, then that's all they had. We went to customer service and spoke with a kind lady there and asked her the same question. She checked her computer and it said they had 61 in stock which was odd cause there shelf was empty. She radios to the wearhouse to inquire about the 61 and turns out there's lots back there. She then asks for someone to bring 2 out to the desk where my wife and I are waiting. About 5 mins go by and my wife and I are starting to wonder where the employee with the after bite is. The customer service desks phone rings and the lady helping us answers. She says " Oh... ok" and hangs up. The customer service lady then turns to us and says " I'm sorry but apparently we can't bring the after bite out because we just got it in and it hasn't been entered into our inventory yet " After waiting the 5 mins, astounded to what had just happened my wife and I both looked at one another and walked out. My final note to this poor encounter is this.... If they had just got their order in, and it hadn't been entered into their inventory..... then why when the kind lady that actually tried to help us checked her computer did the 61 even show up on her screen. In my experience when your inventory depleats it goes to 0, and once you receive more you update your records to reflect your current inventory.
Awesome place to shop
Been dealing with Canadian Tire for the last 15 years and have never had any problems. It's always been a pleasure to shop there. Staff is amazing.
Good
Always great prices and selection.
They had what I wanted and it was on sale. So good deal.
I have always found the items I need and a fantastic staff to help thanks
Had what I was looking for and did some shopping there as well?
Like going to stroll through the store at least in Bancroft...
You can get almost any thing you need here.
Excellent
We ran into a flat tire situation on a Saturday evening just an hr or so before the shop closed. The tire wasn't repairable. I called the service Dept and spoke to Shane. He looked up the tires we needed, physically made sure they had them on hand (they were on sale even) and said they would be happy to help if we could make our way in asap. We got to the shop. The tires were out and waiting. They replaced both front tires (install balanced etc) within a half hour and we were out the door! Amazing service start to finish. Would highly recommend their auto service dept for your vehicle needs.
Rat maze with a alot of selection. Staff seems overwhelmed at times but are nice . Marks work warehouse is a nice touch in the back. Still a Canadian classic. Ps try the sausage stand outside ( sry vegans)

Busy store! Helpful staff and very friendly.
