Zero stars for customer service, but I’ll give one star for my previous treatment’s effectiveness, I guess. Either this pest control company has really low customer service standards, or I’ve just had the misfortune of dealing with the same unfriendly and inflexible exterminator both times I’ve dealt with this company. When they came early in the morning to do a treatment for roaches, I simply requested 5-10 minutes to gather my things to leave my place for 6+ hours, and the exterminator flat out refused, said he didn’t have time for this, and demanded to reschedule. I was baffled that despite having a series of appointments that day, 10 min couldn’t be spared. Recently, I requested an inspection and possibly a treatment if needed for a small bed bug problem, and the exterminator walked in, saw the place didn’t have all rooms prepped yet, immediately demanded to reschedule and was completely condescending about it. He didn’t even do a thorough inspection on the ONLY room that actually had a couple bed bugs reported, despite me asking for one. I had less than 24 hours notice from them, which gave me time to BEGIN prep for treatment while an inspection happens, and then I thought a treatment would be scheduled at a reasonable time after inspection, giving me time to finish a thorough prep based on the inspection - they showed up ready to treat without even evaluating what they were dealing with. Other pest control companies I’ve asked claim that it’s completely excessive to have to put 95% of my belongings in bags over a low-risk bed bug issue. Understand that your clients aren’t stupid - this is likely their first time dealing with this, and it’s beyond stressful. We’ve called an expert to handle it because we don’t know the first thing about something you do every single day and don’t think twice about - it’s not YOUR entire house/life you have to spend days packing up and then unpacking again for a treatment that takes 15 minutes to apply.
