I have used Modern for several years and have always experienced prompt and courteous service. In the couple of instances I have had an issue outside of my normal service times I call Frank and he comes out same day or the next day to take care of things! Reasonably priced and dependable!

I stopped at Modern Exterminating today to speak with them about mice in my house. In person face-to-face I told them I no longer had any active mice due to another exterminator coming out to take care of the problem, however I wanted a second opinion on the entry points the first exterminator identified. I was willing to pay them for their time but they said an inspection would be a courtesy service they would take care of for free. Blown away by their generosity I was ready to leave a 5-star review until the inspector came out. He was at my home for 2 minutes and once he found out that there were no mice it was just an inspection (Something I clearly stated face-to-face when I went into the office earlier that morning) he abruptly said I was wasting his time, he picked up his things and left. He was short, rude and unprofessional... especially when I took my time to go over to their office and set expectations. DO NOT use this company for anything - If you have a bug or rodent issue go to Prodigy Pest Solutions, they were the first exterminators to come out and they actually took care of the problem. They were nice, explained everything and even came out for additional visits free of charge when the first couple rounds did not completely kill all the mice.

Wasn't thrilled that I had to wait till Monday for the wasp man to come and I called before the weekend. He was great when he came on Monday but didn't even attempt to take nest away. Sprayed it and left. I get that can't take it immediately after spraying but for a couple hundred dollars he could have come back to make sure they were all dead and remove the nest. I always support local small businesses but I should definitely have asked questions when he asked if I had any other quotes before he gave me his price.

Really honest Company. Will not try to upsell or have you sign contracts for things you don't need, like the nation wide pest companies do. I had terminex and western representatives, both flat out lie to me about the severity of the situation. They tried to prey on my fear and lack of knowledge. Call modern first, someone you can trust!

Modern Exterminating responded immediately when we saw mice in our attic, with professionalism and kindness. Dave made a house call and explained the characteristics of mice, then placed covered poison traps in locations that we had not even thought of. He came back the next week and found that the poison had been nibbled in two of the three places--all but the attic! Conclusion: we have visits from mice but no infestation requiring ongoing exterminating services. Dave was a prince to tell us that we didn't need to put the company on retainer, even though he could have done that easily. This company is ethical, reliable, and effective. Plus Dave is a stand-up guy and a pleasure to have in your home. Never did I imagine that anything involving a mouse would turn out to be a positive experience! Now I see why he and his company have so many hearts on NextDoor.

We called modern because we were seeing a ton of different bees around our shed/garage. They sent a guy out same day which was cool but when he got to my house he hardly looked. In fact he told my husband there’s nothing he can do and told my husband to seal our garage better. I couldn’t be out there because I’m pregnant and allergic to bees. He spent more time handing my husband a card and was preaching his religion to my husband?! We called for help with our issue which he ignored and said we didn’t have a problem. Well now my husband just found 4 nests in our garage while I was in there! Thanks a lot for being terrible over the phone and in person. Never using this place again. ZERO STARS

These guys know what's up. Very thorough and honest. They always have sold me home use products over more expensive professional visits, when appropriate. Whenever I do need them to come out they are a fair price. They also always take into account my kiddo when recommending a course of action. If I could rate this place any less stars I would based off of their service. I recently had Modern come to my home for some termite work. They came with a crew of two men to my home on 5/13/15 to perform service that should not have taken a long time. The first member was an older man, Ray, who was very good. the other member was Scott who also happens to be the owner's grandson. The owner is Jim. They pulled their truck into my driveway and Ray began to work on drilling the holes. Scott meanwhile instead of following right behind him and filling in the holes with the termite solution proceeded to go back into the truck and light several cigarettes while Ray drilled all of the holes around my home. I didn't really understand why I was paying for two people to perform labor yet only one was doing work and the other was getting cigarette ashes all over my driveway and lawn. Once the drilling was completed Ray then began to fill in all of the holes and did the entire job himself. What should have been an hour job took two hours because only one guy was doing all of the work. I took time off of work to be at my home while they were completing the work and had an hour of my day wasted because Scott couldn't get out of the truck and do his job. So not only did I have time wasted but I paid a large amount of money including labor that I shouldn't have. I immediately notified Jim the owner that his grandson Scott was not doing any work and instead of being apologetic to me and adjusting the price he just made up an excuse for his grandson that he must have been sick when clearly he wasn't. Jim and my sale rep, Dominic Peda were not very helpful in trying to make me a satisfied customer and demanded payment in full even though what I paid for was not what I received. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well on 5/14/15 so this is on their record. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM and support another local business instead.

He setup a one way door then sealed up the hole after the squirrel was gone. Exceptional service that I would recommend to everyone!

Just used Modern on the recommendation of a neighbor and have been SUPER pleased with their service. I have never needed to hire an exterminator before but recently had some plumbing work done on the house and suddenly have noticed some unwelcome visitors. I called Modern (and two other places) Tuesday morning, got a call back in a few hours and Mike (sales)came out within the hour to give me an estimate. I had service scheduled by the next morning for two days later and John came out and did an excellent job- he was very friendly, professional and thorough. Beside doing great work, of the three places I called they had the quickest response time and the fairest cost. Overall, an icky problem to have but they made it as pleasant as possible, would recommend!

Their customer service is severely lacking. One of their employees actually yelled at me over the phone while I was questioning their services and the large fee charges. I don't plan to use them again. They charge large fees for minimal work.

A month now with a flea problem. Went to Modern 3 weeks ago to get three cans of a spray. Man told me any more than two would be overkill. Vacuumed every day till treatment day, treated, went out with pets for two hours. Home, open up house, back out for an hour. Was feeling fleas on legs within a few hours. Back to Modern for The cams. Went through same treatment plan only to feel them again within a few hours. Only suggestion ids to buyanother IGR and do it again. Over $100 later, still have problem. Not happy st all!
