I have been using the service for a couple of years now. The team is very friendly and always professional. They take the time to listen to my summary of what activity I have seen and action anything that they feel could help with the issue -from applying extra product in troubled areas to caulking holes that rodents have been found to use! I had Ben doing a service for us this week and he deserves 5 or even more stars. He was very professional - checked all the mouse bait stations, sprayed the patio and driveway against ants and left some ant bait stations to address ants activity in grass and flower beds (which wasn't done at the beginning of summer even though I've complained that after the first treatment most of the ants just moved to the grass area). I am very thankful to Ben for trying to address this issue as well as for kindly answering all my questions. However being happy with one technician doesn't mean the company deserves 5 stars. I think this is not fair to ask customers write reviews for technicians on Google in order to pay out bonuses. This is the place where the company gets their rating. For technicians they should have provided reviews platform on their own web site. Overall I am not sure I can tell the 1 year of treatments did resolve all the issues. Initially when signed the agreement, I was told that after this 1 year of services I will not have any issues (mice, ants and wasps) for the next 4-5 years. I had to call them almost every 2 weeks during this summer (this is how long it takes to see the results). The company usually booked free follow-up visits without issues, but I had to call again and again... I am not sure, maybe ants/wasps activity this summer was higher than usual or their treatment just doesn't work. Right now there is some reduction, but maybe because it is getting colder. I am putting 4 stars for now, but will reduce it next year if ants/wasps/mice are coming back.

They even pointed out a spot that the Vent Cover had somehow come off and rodents could have gotten into, this was quickly resolved and solved a potential huge issue. The salesman at the door was pleasant and helpful. We signed up for the their service at some promotional rate. I had asked at time of signing if cancelling after the first season was ok if we were not happy with the results and he stated that you can cancel and you only pay for what services were already rendered. Initial service was done promptly within a few days by a gentlemen named Isaac, so far so good. A couple of weeks pass and the pest situation not only did not improve but got worse. I called for a followup and was given a timeslot 3 weeks out. After another two weeks things continued to decline so we called to cancel. We were informed that to cancel there was a $100 cancellation fee PLUS the difference in the promotional rate, so a whopping $350 to cancel after a single session was done and nothing was improved. I told the receptionist that I was willing to pay the $100 cancellation (which is still crazy but I'm trying to compromise here) and they suggested $200 which is unacceptable. They were unsympathetic and almost robot like to deal with. Avoid at all costs. UPDATE: Based on the owner's response: The owner is entitled to run their business as they see fit. However, I feel relying on contract early cancellation fees and repayment of 'promotional discounts' instead of providing better customer service and product value is a recipe for more upset customers. I also didn't 'cancel without good reason' - your service was subpar and I wasn't going to keep paying for something that isn't working. The concept of getting a promotional discount of $X off but if you cancel you have to pay the company that discount back is just bad business practice. In any event, they choose how to run their business and I'll can do is bring awareness for others to avoid it based on my experiences.

He advised us when he arrived, explained what he was going to be doing and did a walk around before proceeding with the service. I WILL BE CANCELING THE SERVICE. Brandon Bradley knocked on my front door back in May 2020 stating they were 'in the neighbourhood working on a house down the road' and we agreed to the service to stop the ant problem we were having. I understood there were treatments / inspections every 3 months and if we signed up today we were saving hundreds and they would spray for ants, spiders, wasps, bait for mice... for the low price of $199. It was my own fault for not fully reading everything before signing (and no doubt what they are going for) . Day one they put ant traps out (that you can get @ Home Depot ) to see where the majority of ants were causing problems. Now I feel that I need to say they did take care of the ant problem AFTER I called to follow up that there was to be a treatment done inside the house. The spaying made an absolute mess of the basement windows, just an FYI. ALL subsequent treatments are NOT WORTH the price. The most recent was in Jan 2021 and the technician that came out stated that he 'wasn't wearing the proper footwear to be doing the inspection'. He left a mouse bait station out by the garage door. Bottom line, if they said they could take care of the ant problem for $500 I would have been happier than the joke of the $1000 I was charged for treatments over the year.

Really happy with our service overall, I wasn’t convinced at first, but we haven’t had issues with ants or rodents since our first or second treatment. Service is quick but thorough, and they are very willing to come back if ever needed and take care of anything you need or target problem areas. Our technician Ben was really good at the last visit, he remembered our concerns from past visits, checked to see if there was anything else we wanted them to focus on, and took care of everything.

We had an initial treatment with technician Jeremy who explained all services very thoroughly, showed us options and helped with decisions. He completed an excellent service. We called the company for a 'top-up' service [covered under their warranty and needed due to our country location] and technician Max revisited for this. He was just as thorough, checked existing bate traps, explained the debris that we were seeing, and once again completed a 'top-up' service that was appropriate at that time. We are happy that they respect the wildlife we want and help to control the unwanted pests. We recommend the service highly and have been very happy with the work of the 2 technicians sent to date.

I hired Insight to rid us of a serious ant infestation all around the foundation and through the interlocks. Their first service was completed while I was away and I don't think it took care of the infestation. I was really impressed however with how well they followed up about the issue when I called a week ago. Max Thomson, the technician who came for the follow up visit, was immensely helpful in identifying the root cause of the pesky ants. He took his time surveying all around the foundation, sprayed the entire surface diligently, and identified and treated three ant hills right near the front entrance lawn. Thank you Max for the amazing service you provided during the visit, and thank you Insight for helping us with the issue!

We have a quarterly service through Insight pest control to inspect for any issues, spray for insects and bait for rodents and pest insects. It has definitely helped to control the pest situation and keep the ants and mice out of my house. Now that the fall is upon us we are really hoping to see a large difference.

They use dishonest marketing methods. The guy came (his name is Rylan) and told us that all neighborhood got this service and gave my neighbors name. I believed him and signed the documents. After I talked to my neighbors we found out that he told same story to everyone. All neighbors were cancelled the deal after finding out their lies. Don't believe them ask your neighbor s first.

For a company I met via house visit, my skepticism was pretty high up there in terms of service; but we had issues with ants and we were going to look into companies. Doing a bit of research, the group seemed to be legitimate: B+ ranking on BBB which I usually watch carefully after being burnt by other companies that do these kinds of home soliciting. But Insight has gone well and beyond what I was expecting. Courteous, very good staff, they've always come on the date they said and gave me the rundown of what they planned on doing. They always asked if there was other issues and to always note that they can come back outside of our quarterly payments to further review issues if they persist. So far, the work they did was great; ants were few and far between after their work. Special note to Joey from Insight Ottawa: Poor guy came in -20 weather to do the work on the 23rd of December. And he did the work efficiently and hopefully nail down the spider issue that recently crept up. Either way, if you are looking for someone to do business regarding pest control and don't mind doing a yearly contract, definitely take a look with this company. Ottawa based and I have had no issues with them with billing. Unfortunately will not continue my services after the yearly contract is up as money is getting tighter but they were very much courteous with me about this and gave me minimal fuss about cancelling when I contacted them via their help service. Some companies will give you a runaround to drive you crazy and incur a penalty. While I would have had to pay for the penalty if I cancelled in a year, I decided a year is fine to try to bite everything we had issue wise in our new home. Either way; good service, did the job well, added some wasp nests when they noted nests around...Recommended for your pest issues!

We have a crawl space and in the winter we use to catch in our live trap in the house 1-2 mice per week - this winter we caught just one. This company traps you into a year long commitment which once you sign for, they charge you more to cancel than for them to actually come and do "work" at your property. Which in my case included setting up bait stations at the front and rear of the property which did absolutely zero for the number of ants in my garden beds and path. They also claim to have sprayed weeping holes and the perimeter of the house, but I didn't have problems with ants inside my house, so cannot speak to it's effectiveness. Terrible customer service, terrible professionalism and when I told them I would leave them a poor review they said "we will not let ourselves be threatened" not a threat, just wanted to spread the word that this company is not to be trusted.

One of their techs, Pierre-Luc came by last week to do a follow-up treatment and my wife mentioned problems with japanese beetles, and he jumped on it right away. Provided a trap for them and even as he was installing it, you could see them already crawling into the bag. The guy knows his stuff. Amazing customer service and post control solutions by the company (and specially the technician Ian Hansen who went above and beyond to be amazingly thorough). Insight pest always scheduled us promptly for follow up visits, and the last technician they sent (Ian) applied a multitude of pest control solutions, left us some wasp traps, and thoroughly even sweeped our backyard to ensure all the chemicals are spread evenly (which cleaned out backyard too so that's a bonus). My husband signed a contract with this company, the guy showed up out of no where honestly and he wouldn't take no for an answer. He told him there was no commitment and that we could cancel anytime at no additional fee. We already had a good pest control company so why my husband accepted this offer is beyond me. We saw ZERO results compared to the other company we used. The guy showed up for a second appointment yesterday ( November..) which is weird timing for bug control if you ask me. At the door I told him I had seen no result whatsoever and was not looking for further services from them. I asked if I had been charged for the service and he said, not yet, you can cancel, just write up a note saying you wish to cancel. So I did and this morning I was charged almost 400$ on my credit card. My husband called the company and they basically are saying the salesman should not have said there was no cancellation fee and they will not refund us. Honestly, do not use this company. If they stood by their service and product, they wouldn't have to trap people into signing a contract and paying.

A technician named Isaac arrived a little ahead of time. He was professional, engaging, knowledgeable and efficient. He also advised me of a couple of aspects of the treatment I had not understood during the initial sales meeting. He was done in about an hour, perhaps a little more. Before he left, he came to the door again and told me what he'd found. Later, I received an email with a summary of the inspection and treatments. Isaac himself was excellent, and the service overall was good. The only aspect which might be improved, was an observation from my partner that some nests were removed but where they had adhered to the house, a patch of debris remained and she wished that had been removed. Isaac and I had discussed those patches, and he had tried to remove them as best he could, with the tools provided by the company.

It very seldom happens we EVER open our door to salesmen but... on this day Brady TOLLESTRUP caught the attention of both my wife & I. He immediately struck us as a person to listen to. Only briefly met his wife, Abbey, but anyone can see they are a couple of young bright people not afraid to work & study hard to know the product and go door to door (not many harder jobs out there). What he really did was sell himself. That is what we bought more than the product. Though we did need a re-visit for a small issue. I called, they responded with a date in just a few days where they come back to re-visit a trouble spot of ants. It may be too early to tell but so far I'm even happy with the product.

I had similar experience of being ripped of. They keep your credit card info and will charge you automatically per service visit. After I was charged for the second visit for $224.87, I requested a termination one day the next day. Of course, I was charged for the penalty fee. The representative even scheduled for retrieving back the bait station they put one day earlier which I was charged for $224.87. I told them that I could not care less about the thing they put but they need to retrieve it in 3 months otherwise they need to refund me. The reprehensive then replied to they re-scheduled the retrieval "with out charge". How ironical that they say "with out charge" for this!! Shame!

Young guy on some sort of single wheel skate board is rolling over everyone's lawn in Stittsville to go door to door as quickly as possible...total lack of disrespect for property. Use the road and walk or driveway like everyone else. And felt like taking a shower after the hard sales approach. Rhymes off names of people, supposedly neighbour, that have taken advantage of some fantastic offer and how I am missing out, after telling him not interested in any services and not to waste his time. And during a pandemic, roles up behind me and surprises me with no mask in sight and too close for comfort. MISLEADING SALES Some guy knocked on our door last summer saying that they were working in the area and they were offering a big discount to homes in the same neighborhood that saves hundreds of dollars at a price of less than $150 a year for four services a year . I agreed to sign up to the service. The guy didn't leave me a copy of the contract, which should have raised an alarm to me at the time, but I thought maybe they will send it to me by email, which they never did. A few days ago, I was going through my credit card bills, and I noticed that they were actually charging me for every visit, i.e. $600 for the year instead of $150. So I called them and was told that they do charge per visit and they did send me a text about the contract. However, the link in the text does not have any price information, and it only says that the contract is for 4 service visits a year and it is "automatic renewed". I think their sales is intentionally misleading to get you signed up, and hoping that you won't notice until they have made enough money from you. I have to say that they did send someone over 4 times during the year. However, in my opinion the work they did definitely is not worth $600 a year. Of course, I told them on the phone to cancel my contract.

The Salesman told me that they would be here for 1 to 1.5 hours spraying in all the cracks and the soffit as well as removing any Cobb webs. Well the Tech was at my place less than 15 of which he walked around the house with a long pole touching the soffit here and there. Then had a Canister with Sprayer going around spraying the side of the house never in the cracks. At one point he sprayed my Water Bottles that where just delivered. All this was observed by Surveillance Cameras.... Not happy and cancelled the service. I

Paid for tick, mice, wasp, and ants prevention. Service was performed in the pouring rain which made me question the effectiveness but figured they know best. When I received the itemized invoice, there was no mention of ticks on it. I called for clarification and was put on hold for 20 minutes because they too saw no mention of tick treatments on invoice. When I asked about the pouring rain affecting the other treatments I was told that somebody would call me back. Nobody called back. This is just my experience so far.

I am signed up for Insight's seasonal plan.... I won't lie; I originally signed up so they would come once (a lower price then other's in the area), and then I planned on cancelling. WELL I was so impressed after their first visit about 2 years ago, that I did not cancel! My home backs onto a farm, so we have plenty of rodents and other pests around. Any time I fire off an email requesting more traps they bring them out within a few days. I called "urgently" last summer because we had a big wasp issue and were having an outdoor birthday party (with an attendee with a life threatening wasp allergy) a few days later, and they made sure to take care of it before the date of my event! Always excellent service, they were back today with more mouse traps and their technician Tyler S was very polite, knowledgeable, and did an upstanding job!

Made really sure we kept our dog inside for the time if the treatment. Max was patient and very nice to deal with. Our experience with Pierre-Luc's was very similar to the one we had with Max. He was super polite, patient, knowledgeable. He took time to explain a few things which I really appreciated. He also called about 15 minutes before coming. Great job guys we are very satisfied. ****Update**** Max Thompson came today for our winter treatment. Sounds weird to treat in winter but Max took the time to explain was is being done as a preventive measure. Young man came to the door and proceeded with the usual pitch: 'Doing work in the neighbourhood. Can give you a 'special' price.' I declined, as I always do with any unknown entity offering services at the door. But he persisted, describing the horrors of ants and spiders. He wore no uniform, offered no name of the business, no business card, no website. No identification whatsoever. When I did locate this operation online, I began to see why. Almost all reviews are cited as being submitted '2 weeks ago' while the balance are by employees. Would valid reviews all be submitted on the very same week? I think not. And only two weeks ago? Who knows whether the treatment was effective in that short lapse of time? Is that how long they've been operating, given no reviews older than two weeks? Finally, what employee would review his work and his employer negatively? Not one wishing to retain his position. Some of these reviews were from Americans in far-flung places, if one is to believe the stated locations of their authors. What they have to say, can't relate to this particular business. These findings: anonymity at the door and questionable entries online, confirmed to me once again why I don't do deals on my doorstep with unknowns. Good luck to those who do!

This company cheats and provide no useful services. I have to use mice trap myself as a resolution. I was working on my lawn when a service person named Brandon Bradley approached me with their service in July 2020 . This person misled me into signing the agreement. He did not explain to me that this is a contract and I will be changed almost $1000. He emphasized only that $199 will cover 3 services in one year and is a discount from $500+. It turned out to be all lies. First, it says "this agreement includes a total of ( 3 ) regular services following the initial", which I only have 1 service in July. The initial discount was only $200. I agreed to sign simply because I thought $224.75 for 3 services to give it a try. It is my mistake that I did not read the agreement carefully on the tablet Brandon Bradley provides when I signed the agreement. Once I found out that I was ripped off after I was charged $224.87 for a service in Nov 2020 , I requested them to terminate my service contract, and was charged $300 plus tax for all the liabilities they put in the contract! Stay away from this company!!

Update 2021-07-29: Since the last scheduled pest control maintenance, I have noticed a wasp nest in my eaves and an increase in ant infestation. After many emails, we were finally allowed to terminate the contract with no penalty after receiving 3 of the 4 services.

We paid for a full year service, ending this past summer and now that fall is here, I am catching one mouse a day in our basement, so there was no long term solution for our rodent issue,. We were told the company could easily stop the mice from entering our home by the owner's sister, Gaby, who signed us up. I told her we had no issues with bugs, but that service was provided as pat of the package. I. will say that while Nadine, who answers the phone, was very nice and was helpful, we got different instructions from the technicians who came regarding our basement mice residents, even scolded by one for keeping our traps functioning, after the first tech said we could use them (?) There was lots of staff turnover, as well and while some of the techs were professional., we wasted almost $800 , as we still have the problem. . When we initially signed up, Gaby, had given us inaccurate info ( office staff said, "Oh, she shouldn't have told you that..."), and then we discovered, she had written a positive review on their new website touting the company's virtues. .....really? Would not recommend this company . Does anyone out there know how to get rid of mice?

We signed up for a quarterly service that included wasps, ants and rodents. Our biggest issues was wasps. Was disappointed that for one of our scheduled visits it was raining so they never completed their spray for wasps. However, when called they did come back free of charge twice to spray for wasps covered under our year long contract and warranty. Shout out to Kareem and Braydon as our last technicians who removed our final wasp nest, and provided us with good customer service and satisfaction.

The visit was a regularly scheduled treatment, but we were "enjoying the company" of many ants. The gentleman was friendly and knowledgeable. He left ant traps that enable ants to take poison back to their community. Then he sprayed outside on the deck, then in the garden, particularly around the peony plants, to help stop ants from getting in. We are very satisfied with tne service provided. Thank you.

I hired them to perform inspections and prevent ants, spiders and rodents. I told them I have a dog. The person took maybe half an hour to put out some traps that my dog moved within a day, including ant traps and rodent traps that contain poison. The rodent traps were just laid out on the grass beside my deck. My lawnmower would have run over it if the dog hadn’t gotten a hold of it. And the guy left without providing me with an opportunity to review what he had done. I would have certainly told him to move some things. I do not recommend this company.

Started using Insight a year ago and I can honestly say what a difference. We live along the river and spiders and ants have been terrible, we noticed a huge difference after the first treatment . We also lost a hot tub from squirrels getting in and chewing the wiring and since we started using Insight not a problem the squirrels don’t come near it. On 23 Dec 21 Joey McNitt performed a quarterly inspection and service call at 166 Hillcrest Drive, Appleton. He was courteous, professional and thorough. He completed an inspection of exterior of the main building and both interior and exterior of the outbuilding. He opened and serviced all bait stations, explaining their condition and his actions, including removal of a mouse nest from one of the large bait stations. He then thoroughly dusted all potential spider hideouts. I was most impressed with his thoroughness and courtesy throughout.

We have been using their services for a about a year and they have helped us reduce our wasps problem significantly and responded very quickly when we had a new nest to remove it. Last summer we had over 6 wasp nests, this year we haven't had a single one yet. We started with Insight over a year ago because the number of ant hills taking over our walkway, and the mice that could hear at night running around between the first and second floors. We were not certain whether they could solve the issues, but were willing to gamble. Well, after a year, we are continuing to use them because we have not had any more of the problems that have plagued us for years. Their technicians, including Ben who visited today, are friendly, always ask us about any specific issues we are experiencing or worried about, and they know what they are doing. We don't have to "babysit" or oversee them to ensure they are doing a good job, and if we do have specific concerns (mice, spiders, wasps, etc. over the year) they are able to talk about them intelligently and have taken effective steps to address them.
