In the past when service was handled locally there was none better. Since Erlich has taken over, it has become a certified train wreck. Customer service (or so what they perceive as customer service) is handled through Reading, PA. They no longer ask when they can schedule your appointment, the dictate when. Service locally has to follow their instruction and have taken customer service from excellent to poor. The local techs are outstanding and dont know how they put up with the ivory tower ineptness. This is becoming a sad story

Sales reps say one thing. Techs say another. They inflated my estimate by $50 so that the $50 coupon took the estimate back to the original cost. Weird. Then they didn’t show up without letting me know - just let me wait!! No courtesy call. When I called Them,, they told me they couldn’t treat for wasps and had no intention of coming. Weird!! However - they had no problem taking my credit card number when they told me they could treat wasps when they set the appointment. Weird. Because when I called back again - they said they COULD treat wasps. Strange. See a pattern here?? Oh - The manager that was supposed to call. Never called back to address the issues. Weird. All things from this office are total complete lies. So I parted ways with this company and will never return. Bad first impression for sure I’LL NEVER GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE

I had Ehrlich about 12 years ago and the experience/service was terrible from the technician to the call center. We were on the 12 month plan and my wife and I both worked and we asked if there could be appointments made so we could arrange for one of us to be there and get the service completed. Well that never happened, the technician would just show up do the outside and leave a slip (not what I was paying for). I would call and they may have made 1 appointment with us in that year. I ended up canceling the service. Jump ahead to 2017 and I decided to give it another chance. This was the worst choice I have made I guess some things never change. The initial technician was GREAT he came out to deal with the minor issue I had and said they would be back in 30 days to check the traps (mice issue in attic). I'm still waiting on that visit. I did however get another outside visit from a technician and a slip left behind sorry I missed you ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME. I informed them when YES I spent the money to get on another 12 month plan and YES I spent the money for the mice issue (another cost), that they must make arrangements with me to schedule a visit so we could be home. Obviously they did not listen. I did however call 1800 #and filed a complaint with Ray (customer service) that was a week ago and someone was to reach out to me in 1-2 days. STILL WAITING RAY. If I could rate this company with a MINUS 1 STAR I would. I wanted to update this review from "2017". After contacting the call center and providing them my concerns I was assigned another TECH to come out and work with us and our schedule. My wife and I met with Jared and it has been nothing but "GREAT" since. He is always communicating with us to ensure that we are available and provides the customer service you would expect from this company. I would like to say thank you to Ehrlich and you Jared for being professional and understanding to our needs. Thank you keep up the great work Jared we appreciate it!!!

We are having a very specfic pest issue. Their salesman came out and tried to sell us a $300 treatment plus a $60 a month continuing contract ($10 a month above what we were quoted in person) that, when pushed, he admitted wouldn't actually help our specific problem. FUN TIMES! EDIT: For your knowledge, we have drainflies coming out from under our slab floor. The $300 treatment was a pipe treatment. Having poured bleach into the pipes this morning with no resulting activity, it's safe to say that they are not the problem. When I spoke to your sales person on the phone, he said "I told your wife when you fill in the hole, that should take care of the problem under the slab." That's great. Then why the $300 drain fly treatment? Hope you guys figure this out. No ill will, just a really bad experience.

I called when I found an epic bees nest in my attic. The bees had made themselves at home so much that they were playing cards, making pasta and buzzing about the days activities. Two of the queens were arguing over whether horizontal stripes or vertical stripes make them look fat. Anyway, a fantastic technician from Ehrlich came out and inspected the situation and quickly applied a powder to the area and removed some of the bees. Within a very short amount of time the Bears had moved on to a better place, which was not my house. I then hired Ehrlich to provide regular inspection and application to my house my barn my treehouse my greenhouse and various vehicles on my property. The results have been fantastic. In the very rare occurrence that I have seen some pests I have placed a call and a technician has come out within a day to take care of the situation. The technicians are very professional, very communicative, and extremely friendly.

You really do get free retreatments within the warranty time period, with chemicals that are odorless and safe for everything but the target pests. I had shopped around and on the whole 1st went with another service, and was going to pay an upcharge for carpenter bee treatment. When that tech arrived he informed me he could not treat the higher area where the bees were consistently the worst, but was still willing to upcharge me of course. Once I removed the bee service they attempted to charge more than thr quoted basic service - they were sent packing. Called Ehrlich back and set up service with them, for which there was no upcharge for carpenter bees. Before the scheduled service, yellow jackets began appearing in the house - I called back and they moved me up to the next day. The tech Paul was knowledgeable, personable and extraordinarily helpful. Also informed me treating the higher area was no issue at all. He went above and beyond during service, eliminated any yellow jackets he found, and heavily treated possible entry areas. Informed me about their on-call service as well for established customers which is outstanding. Very happy to have ended up with them and look forward to being pest free!

Used Erlich for 7+ years for mice control. I've found the quality of service is poor the last 12 months, both over the phone and with the tech coming out to my rental apartment befriending the tenant and speaking poorly about me as the property owner to the tenant. Very unsatisfied at this point and canceled my account after another bad experience with customer phone support today. I refuse to pay $67 a month for poor customer service and the rude woman I spoke to on the phone today was the last straw.

Absolutely the worst experience. We will be dropping our service contract with them. Needed an emergency visit to take care of a yellow jacket infestation in our wall which was occurring while we were out of the country (we were informed of it by our son, who was house sitting). Trying to call from South America and get someone out to the house was impossible. We made at least four calls, and through whatever gross incompetence was happening at Erlich, NO ONE ever came out to our house to take care of the problem, giving the yellow jackets a full week longer to build more and infest farther into our wall. It wasn't until the day after we returned home that someone finally showed up, and that was after I had to speak with an operations manager about it. No confidence whatsoever in Erlich. When we finally got one of their exterminators to the house, he was nice as could be. Can't fault that person. Did a great job. But the company as a whole is terrible.

I have had multiple requests to dispute a terrible service. I keep getting the run around now. The tech was at my house for 5 minutes and we have never had more bugs than we have this year. We decided to try this company for mosquitos. We never knew when they were coming or when they were here. The only way we found out was when they charged our credit card. This past application, we had our fence locked. Not sure how the tech was able to do the application, but sure enough we got the charge on our card. When we called the guy didn't seem too concerned. He just said that they probably should have left a work order. Okay. When you're making a chemical application, especially residential, I would expect some kind of written notice so that the homeowner can keep pets and children away from the treated area for a few hours. Very strange. Very unprofessional. I would recommend looking elsewhere for pest control service.

We had German cockroaches invade the home we just bought in August. They were everywhere. One of their reps came in and sprayed our kitchen area where they were concentrated. Over several days we would find dead roaches and now we see none at all. It takes approximately a week to see results and he was right. We have not been bothered at all. We've used Ehrlich for the last couple years and their backroom/customer service/accounts payable has been nothing short of a disaster. I signed up for monthly service for ants/ticks/mosquitos/bee control mid-season 2020. They showed up a couple times like they should have end of season 2020. They were supposed to show up on Spring of 2021 --no show till July 30th. A service tech just shows up out of the blue. I let him spray ---he says we'll be here once a month till snow flies. No one has showed up again and it's almost October. They never billed me for the July 30th application, then today ---BOOM ---your invoiceS are past due and you owe us $449.43. Huh?!?!? I called them mid-August because I had an ant problem inside and out ---they said someone would call me to schedule a service call. They never called. Called again ---they said someone would call me to set a service call ---never did. It's clear their backroom has no idea how to run a business. Paying this bill and they'll never set foot on my property again. If you utilize them you're walking into chaos. You've been politely warned. God Speed. :)

Have been a Hoban client for several years. They were purchased by Ehrlich. Hoban always called to schedule spraying appointment. They left a message if no answer. I have the inside of my home and the inside of my garage done so I need to know when they are coming out to spray. Ehrlich just shows up. They spray the outside (I assume) and are gone. I have contacted Ehrlich about this and while promised I would get a phone message for future appointments, it never happened. I just received another quarterly bill for out side spraying. I think Ehrlich does this to save spray and time. They say they charge the same for an inside and outside spray. They just make it nearly impossible to get an inside spray.

He very carefully went around the house spraying around windows and sills and I assume the base area of the house. I have now decided that I will remain with Ehrlich. The employee did not do the service that I contracted for. He was here for approximately 20 minutes but when he sent the service report, he listed that he was here for 90 minutes. He completely skipped some areas. Ehrlich is very hard to contact as they just use a call center somewhere. I am still waiting for a call from a manager to complain. They did reschedule a service for me for tomorrow. I do not recommend Ehrlich and I will be reviewing my options going forward.
