A huge thanks to ZAP Pest Control for having amazing customer service. Not only were they quick to respond to my pigeon problem, but both Eric and James are incredibly knowledgeable as well. When James arrived, he quickly realized that my problem was far smaller than what I had described to Eric over the phone. Since my problem was not as expected, he didn’t have the tools on hand to complete the job, instead of forcing me to call and make another appointment, as my appointment was the last one of the day, he happily went and got the right materials and promptly came back and installed it. Additionally, when he came back to install I went outside to see if there were any issues and caught him cleaning up the poop that the pigeons had left on the ground. When I told him he didn’t need to do that, he said it wasn’t a problem at all and had noticed I had a dog and wanted her to be safe, as pigeon poop can carry a lot of parasites. James really went above and beyond what I would have expected. I will definitely be using them for all of my pest control needs and would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. They contacted me through texting and was so helpful. I got bites during sleep and got scared if it was bed bugs. I’ve been getting the bites for awhile now and Lisa, nice lady who was helping me, said I would definitely see any signs by now. She was willing to share information and look at the pictures i sent. All my mattresses and sofa are spot clean from any droppings or blood marks and she helped me feel better and reassured me. ZAP Control has very professional staffs, also their price is better than some of the others. We have voles in our front and back lawn, so we decided to phone ZAP and they came over the next day. He walked around the lawn and tried to find out where the voles lived; he placed some poison to get rid of them. He made an appointment for two weeks later, so he could revisit again to see the result. He also suggested that we purchased the two boxes with discount which filled with voles poison so the voles would not coming back again until next year. I highly recommend ZAP Control.

Was renovating a property before putting it on the market and part of the renovations included new facia and gutters. The next day it turned out we had trapped a squirrel in the attic. The hole he was getting in and out of had been closed and he was actively searching for a new one... pretty hard to show a property with a critter running around in the ceilings. Called ZAP and the next morning (Monday) the nicest gentleman showed up with a live trap. He told me to call the office once I heard the trap close and he or one of his coworkers would be back to get him. I had left to run some errands and a couple of hours later I returned to find the squirrel in the cage eating peanuts. Didn't seem to be bothered at all. I called the office and was told that the tech would be back to the house within the hour. 45 minutes later Dave showed up again and took him away guaranteeing that it would be released unharmed in an area greater than 10kms away to prevent the squirrel from returning... something I hadn't considered knowing we had trapped it inside but reassuring all the same. These people are professionals. They did exactly what they were asked to do in a timely manner and everyone that I encountered was polite and helpful with an unfortunate situation we were dealing with. I honestly hope I never run into this problem again but if I I do I now know exactly who to call. I'd recommend these people to anyone reading this... you have a problem you need looked after, or if you're just reading this for kicks, then you have a problem that they probably can't help you with... go play with your pet squirrel.

The exterminator was very knowledgeable and thorough. We had previously used a different company but they hadn't completely dealt with our mice problem. The Zap exterminator found and fixed some possible mice entrances on the outside of the house that the other guy had missed, and was more careful about the placement of bait stations within the house. We would certainly use Zap again for pest problems.

I called Zap when I first thought I may have an infestation. They were super helpful and gave me some great tips until I was able to get an inspection and treatment. After inspection I was able to get a quote I could send directly to my landlord. Once treatment came around they were super easy to schedule appointments with. Dave did the treatments and was amazing -- super professional and friendly. Two treatments were included in the cost and it looks like the problem is taken care of. Was able to make a same day appointment because I had a mouse in the house and was SUPER not happy about that. The technician arrived on time and was completely professional. He did a thorough search search of the exterior of my house for entry points and placed feeding stations throughout the house/garage in strategic locations. I am more than happy with the service. My father had a mice problem and I called zap pest control. They were very fast to response and have a technician come in right away. They called me after letting me know where the mice was entering from and how to prevent it. I loved their 90days warranty at no cost. I contacted them every 3 weeks and a tech will come for a check up and refill the mice medicine. They also repaired our door rubber that the mice was chewing to enter our house from the garage door at a reasonable price. We haven't seen any mice so far for a month now. And as a thank you they offered me a extended warranty for another month. I will highly recommend them! Very happy

When Zapp planned my appointment for 9:00 they were at the house at 8:50 and waiting until 9:00 to knock and speak with me - cant say enough good things about the quality and professionalism! We had a little SKUNK fall into our window well overnight. I called Zap and they gave me great advice on how to get the little guy out myself. Unfortunately he was a little too tired to climb out and I was a little too chicken to grab him, so after a few hours I called Zap back and they came right over to rescue the skunk. I asked specifically if this helped for flying insects as well as spiders, and was given some run around answer that didn't say "no" just that it would help if they came into contact with, which after the tech explained all the areas he'd spray I hoped it would. I'd absolutely recommend doing more research and going with a company that will tell you 100% what you're paying for directly before you hire them.

Earlier this year we had an indoor problem with small black ants that came in on some new plants. They quickly got out of control on the walkout level of our home. We called Zap and they quickly came to help us. The little black ants have not returned. Just this week, however, we had a different ant problem, red ants by the hundreds in and around our big spruce tree at the front of our yard and also countless ants coming in and out of the patio stones in the back yard. Dave with Zap came out and treated both areas promptly, courteously and professionally. The service is of very high quality. They know what they are doing and use state of the art equipment and chemicals. We are very happy with the fine work they have done and highly recommend them.

For the first time since we bought our house we had ants in our basement (likely due to the unprecedented heat wave we had), so I called Zap, and they scheduled us in the next day, even though it was a stat holiday!. The technician arrived exactly on time, and she was very professional to courteous. She was kind enough to explain why the ants had migrated to the basement, what solution she was using for the inner portion of the house, and what spray she was using for the front and back yard. She worked very efficiently, and was careful to inform me of the safe timing protocol to have our dog back in the yard. I was also informed of the 100 day warranty for the services rendered: if there is a pest resurgence within 100 days, they come back, revisit the situation, and hit them again. Thankfully, though, after only 2 days there was not an ant in sight inside or out. All in all, I was very happy with the service from start to finish, and I was pleasantly surprised with the total cost of the service, considering they did the basement, front yard, back yard, and all the landscaping as well. I don't know how they fare with other services (thankfully lol), but if you have had an ant problem, I would highly recommend Zap ????

Really loved dealing with these guys! They were right on time and showed up in an unmarked vehicle. Which is nice. We thought we had a carpet beetle problem but when they came he immediately identified the issue as Sow bugs not carpet beetles. Which was nice because we were feeling like it was our fault. But they explained it’s just the time of the year. This also adjusted the costs involved but it worked out to be cheaper. He was very professional and explained they would be spraying baseboards on all three levels of the house. They also said that if it happens that we also carpet beetles the treatment would kill them too. When I initially called customer service on the long weekend the person that answered was extremely professional and knowledgeable. We have fish in the house so I wanted to make sure they would be safe. They explained exactly what had to be done with my fish to keep them safe and that as long as the tanks were covered with blankets they would be fine. I will update this review as needed :)

Just bought a place so obviously I didn't have anything in the home yet. Clearly Eric was the guy I should have dealt with instead I had Dave. Dave was late for the appointment by 1/2hr; proceeded to book another appointment on his cell before he even started; didn't have any tools; didn't clean any mouse droppings (apparently that's my job); insisted I pay the full amount before he even got through 1/2 the job (placing 4 traps); expected to leave some mesh for ME to complete the job; then wanted to complete the next day but when I insisted he return the same day WITH tools, he returned even later than agreed time stating that he needed to do his next appointment & if I could wait 15mins while he did theirs (I told him that I was already scheduled so he could ask his other customer to wait as he initially did with me). After checking with the next customer,(my neighbor); he entered my home complaining that Eric was away and he's trying to do all the work & he's just helping me out as they don't normally have to cut wood (under sink to get to the hole). Not even sure if he put traps under the home as I had another appointment (which I was late). I feel that if I was a white male, I would not have been treated so disrespectful. Pro: Dave showed up today Con: experience made me feel like I could have gone out, bought some traps myself with steel wool & saved myself some running around and rude customer service. (by the way Dave, not sure if you're new but in your field, you should know that it's unhealthy to vacuum or sweep dry droppings as you suggested). We had a really large wasp nest located quite far underneath a deck that sits almost on top of the concrete in our back yard. It was quite big and there were several dozen aggressive wasps in the area at any given time. We tried to spray it ourselves and just angered them and even after unloading two cans of spray and enduring being bitten it did nothing. I had Zapp back to my home for a disturbing problem with larder beetles. They had previously treated my home in April of this year and there was clearly a new outbreak. I want to be clear the outbreak is not from an inferior treatment by Zapp. I live in a duplex in a nice SW neighbourhood but my next door neighbour is terrible about taking out their garbage. The majority of the bugs seem to be coming in from the dividing wall. Despite the 100 day warranty being recently expired, Zapp offered to come in as a warranty and re-treated my home at no charge! Came to my house 20 minutes after I called. They had a staff member close to my area and sent them over right away. Dave went all through my basement, main floor, garage and the outside perimeter mending points of entry. He then set bait stations and suggested a door sweep for the door to the garage and told us how to prevent this in the future. Zap pest control have very professional technicians. My technician was running a little late but called me to let me know exactly when he was going to be here. When he came he walked the perimeter of my house and noticed a few problem places that could be causing my mice problem. He was very professional in checking the insides of the house and informing me where they might be coming in from. He was very polite and knowledgable! He made sure I knew what to do after the appointment and to make sure to call him after 21 days if there was mouse droppings so that he can come and refill the boxes. Highly recommend to anyone with nasty pest problems! He even comes in the same day if you need! I now have another problem. Bees built a nest inside my house between the wall. ZAP came almost immediately and made sure to kill them. He told me that one spray won't get rid of them all so he made sure I'd call him back to do more spraying. He also educated me on the difference between bumblebees and honey bees which was super interesting. Again one of the best services you can call for! One of the most reasonable prices out there too! Excellent service, price and warranty. Eric answered my call at 6:30pm on a weekday and was helpful and knowledgeable. He got us scheduled in the next day (soonest possible) to have a technician come out to set a skunk trap by our front steps. I also spoke with him the next morning once I knew there was a mom skunk and two kits to deal with. He told me about their barrier and one-way door that blocks re-entry, then the barrier is a permanent solution after the door is replaced with additional barrier. James came out the next day and assessed the feasibility of a barrier and one-way exit solution. He found it was feasible to install this permanent solution and scheduled the install for the next day since it would take more than he had today. He explained everything thoroughly. He also assessed two areas I had noticed ants in, and a wasp nest under our back deck. He was very knowledgeable about all these pests. With three services to be done he offered me a very fair discount if I did have them all done. I accepted and he completed the wasp nest and ant treatments.

We had birds building a nest inside a gap underneath the soffit of our 2 storey house. It was dangerously high for us to access ourselves. We called 6 different pest control companies and ZAP not only had the lowest quote, but also knew exactly what to do about it. One of the other companies didn't even want to do it. On the day of the appointment, ZAP was 30 minutes late, but once here, James was very efficient and careful in dealing witht the problem. He filled the gap and an adjacent gap with an appropriate metallic material that would prevent any wildlife and insects from entering. We were very happy the job and the further discount he gave us. This company is amazing! We bought a house after living in an apartment complex that had roach problems, so we wanted precautionary spraying to avoid any bugs in our new home. Not only did the company give us some great suggestions to help prior to spraying, we were surprised by the amazingly low price for a huge house and garage spray. I looked around and noticed in our tree, a nest the size of a melon. Not your average wasp, these were Black Head Hornets. One of the most aggressive types of hornets.
