Definitely recommended! We have used Responder's several times to treat various apartments. They have been very helpful, and always answered all the questions from our tenants. We did have a re-occurrence, and they came immediately to re-treat the suite. They really do stand behind their guarantee.

Had a long back and forth with the owners of Responders over work that was done. Neither of the people that did the work, work there today. The short version is that the house was damaged, scuffed up etc. However they did compensate me for the damages and the bugs were gone. At the end of the day I would use them again because their methods get the job done and Jordan took care of things after the fact.

I placed a call inquiring if they dealt with birds the man on the phone said no we don’t deal with birds and then hung up on me and then refused to answer my phone calls after very unprofessional very rude would not recommend based on this experience. Also after just reading their response I would down grade them to no stars if possible. I was not in the least upset about the birds. They simply hung up on me and didn’t answer when I called back to get some guidance on options. Like I said before very rude and is probably a reflection on how they do all their business.

Dishonest. Gave me a one year guarantee on their heat treatment service. When the bugs returned within a year, I called them for help and they asked me to provide evidence. Next day, left a vm stating that I had found evidence of bugs but they never returned the call. I had to go to with another company to get the problem finally looked after. Asked them to honor their guarantee by covering the bill. They refused. They basically lied and said they had never received the vm.

I run an Airbnb rental unit in Canmore and had a guest complain about bed bugs. Responders came on short notice to do an inspection and found that there was no evidence of bed bugs. They had great service and we appreciated the honest inspection.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!! This company is absolutely terrible. We used them last year, it took them almost 9 months to eradicate all bugs. Once they received their 1500 dollars they pretty much disappeared. It would take weeks for them to get back to me, when they did they would make up excuses. Michael being the owner and Jordan his right hand man. Jordan was great initially, said everything a customer would want to hear. They ended up doing two heat treatments and several sprays. After the first heat treatment we still had live bed bugs two days after, on our interceptors. The second heat treatment they destroyed our home. Heated it so high in temperature paint came off the walls, cracked baseboards throughout, door paint, leaks sprung from plumbing, laminated cabinets separated, carpet had melted with indentations from their equipment. Jordan would make up excuses such as Michael is out of the country, Michael is sick, Michael’s wife had a baby when we tried to escalate our concerns. I’ve read the reviews below and seems like they have had similar excuses with other customers and also “gone missing” after they received their money. We too followed all their instructions to the detail in the case they come back saying we didn’t.

They lie about all they did and find excuses for everything. They didn't do their job at all. They promised a 6 months guarantee for getting rid of pests but I never got it. They find all the excuses possible to delay things and eventually not do their job at all. They just made my life so much harder. This is the worst company I have ever seen. Don't trust them!

I moved into a place with a bad bedbug issue. It was a nightmare! I called Responders to come to my new home and fix the issue. I choose to have just the heat treatment no chemical. 3 months later they returned. I called them to come back in this time a chemical was used. I returned home they were still around (popped out of their hiding places due to the treatment) I asked them to come back in and do another heat treatment and this time I wanted it with the chemical as well. I paid for the chemical treatment (cause did not the first treatment) so they came in a combined heat with chemical and so far I feel really good about everything. So far no bugs, no signs. I really appreciate how hard they worked with us to fix this issue. There was an issue or two (mainly my anxiety about this whole situation) but it was resolved very quickly and I am satisfied with the work they did.

Jesse Nelson came to do the job and he was so nice and easy to talk to.. he would explain anything about the job he will do... he recommended at least 2 sprays to get rid of the bugs or 3 to make sure there's nothing to worry about.. if you call Responders Ask for JESSE he is the guy!

After having bed bugs in an old condo years ago I panicked when I woke up to find several welts on my torso that looked like bed big bites. I called another pest control company who wanted to treat the house for bed bugs without doing an inspection. Luckily I called Responders. Jordon came out quickly and did an inspection of our bed and other areas and showed us what he was looking for if bed bugs had been present (faeces, skins, blood marks, eggs) He said he was pretty confident we didn’t have bed bugs which was a huge relief and suggested a number of things that my skin reaction (new detergent, hot tubs) could be and suggested I visit a determatoligist if the condition persisted. Very professional service. I would recommend them to anyone who had issues (or thought they had issues).

After finding bed bugs in a brand new headboard and having no luck finding someone to come right away to treat our house, Michael answered all my questions and was able to have his crew come by the next morning. Simply amazing! We returned from holidays to find a huge, football sized wasp nest (at least that is what we thought) in a tree in our front yard. Our two young daughters noticed it as we were getting ready to leave camping for the weekend. We called Jordan at Responders and one other company. The other company wanted to charge us nearly double what Responders wanted to charge us and they wouldn't even promise to remove the nest after getting rid of the bugs. Jordan at Responders, on the other hand, was awesome. He came to our house within an hour and had the issue handled straight away (nest removed too) - and good thing because it turned out the "wasp nest" was in fact a hornets nest (much more aggressive). There were so many hornets buzzing around and with our daughters and other little kids in the neighbourhood we needed to get the issue handled as soon as possible and that is exactly what Jordan and Responders did - they were definitely the best call. So easy to deal with and Jordan was so understanding of our situation - we felt like his only clients in the moment. We had an amazing experience with responders pest control and will only call them, in the future, ifwe have a pest issue. Responders Calgary really is the only choice.

Terrible experience. We called them because we had discovered we had a mouse problem. Jordan showed up, laid 8 baits and charged us $400. We were promised the bait/poison was very safe considering we have two toddlers and a dog. Instead we were finding the mice were going in and disinigrating the poison and dragging it through the house. What a panic! My husband and I quickly got rid of the traps and had to clean everything up. We quickly called Jordan with photos asking him to come retrieve the baits as we wanted them out of our home since they weren't as safe as explained. Needless to say we were ghosted. Never heard from them again after many phone calls/emails and follow ups. Classic take your money and run.

We found a bug and feared it was a bedbug we sent a picture to Responders Pest control to confirm. They suggested they come inspect our home the next day. In the morning, Michael called and said they were able to clear up the pic we had sent and realized it was a corn beetle, not a bed bug as feared. A great relief for us. I discovered bedbugs in my rented unit. Although the property management took care of spraying, the exterminator they hired was ridiculously incompetent. I lost all of my furniture and was largely on my own to deal with the issue. It was a nightmare to even find answers to my questions, let alone find a company that was willing to help. Responders were absolutely terrific! They were so knowledgeable and helpful answering all of my questions (I had a LOT). I honestly don't know what I would have done without their help, which went WAY beyond their normal scope of services. BIG hugs! While I pray that I never find myself in this situation again, should I ever be so unlucky, or know anyone who is, I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

There was no noticeable abatement of the problem and four subsequent phone calls over the next several failed to provide a resolution. Resolved the problem myself with Ortho Home Defense. We had problem with bed Bugs at our rental property in Falconridge. We had chemical spray done from one compay that did not solve the problem to get rid of bed bugs. Then we contacted Reponders Pest Control, they suggested Heat Treatment with guaranty of getting rid of Bed Bugs. The job was done in March, since that time there is no more problem of Bed Bugs in our Falconrrdge properety. The service provided by Responders was excellent and I highly recommend them. I had responders come to my condo and other units they were here on time and very polite gave us a good quote and the service was done well with no problems and the bugs are gone also they have come to do checks. I would sudjust strongly if you have problems with bugs or mice call ASAP it will be worth it in the end.

We discovered bed bugs in our home in April 2018. We called Responders who promptly returned the call. Not only did we have bed bugs but a close relative did as well. They agreed to do both houses for $1000.00 each with their “guaranteed” heat treatment (as stated on their website). As per their website the Heat Treatment is guaranteed to get rid of bed bugs and eggs in 24 hours. My husband put me and our young child in a hotel (as well as my relatives that were dealing with the same issue) for a week. They say on their website that they can have someone out to service your home within 24 hours, but they booked my appointment a week out. I refused to subject my toddler or myself to more bed bug bites, so we were forced to leave our home. I should also mention that at this point I was 4 months pregnant. Twenty-four hours after they did the heat treatment, we returned home to see at least 10 adult bugs crawling around our room. We messaged them that evening with photo and video evidence. They agreed to do a second heat treatment for free. They booked us for another couple days out. We were fairly confident after the second treatment that all of the bugs would be gone since this treatment comes “highly recommended” and will “take care of your infestation within 24 hours.” How could they survive two heat treatments, right? Two months later our infestation was in full effect again. I was being bitten repeatedly, spotted numerous bugs, and had blood stains from being bitten on my bed. I messaged Responders. They refused to do any more heat treatments. They said that they HAD to use chemicals going forward. They told me that they are losing money and accused me of lying when I said that they had told me that I would get as many treatments as necessary for free for a year. Not to mention that their website even supports my claim. They came back in to do a Chemical Treatment. They said that they had found hundreds of eggs in our box spring. We were disgusted and threw our box spring out (because even though they treated the box spring and vaccumed it- we STILL found adult bed bugs inside of it when they left). When they tell you that they will take care of your problem without you having to trash your furniture, that’s a complete lie. You end up trashing it anyways because they don’t do their jobs properly. I’ve been in full on text battles with this company about information that’s on their website (even with screenshots and evidence). I’ve had them show up late on at least two occasions. They’ve also ignored phone calls and text messages. They have been to my house five times! FIVE TREATMENTS AND THE BED BUGS ARE NOT GONE! I’ve done two heat treatments and three chemical treatments. I am 9 months pregnant now! I’ve been dealing with this since April 2018 and we are in August! I’ve spent thousands in hotel fees, doggy daycare, gas (driving cats across the city to stay with relatives), etc. Each time they are in your home you have to be gone for 8 hours. That means removing pets, children, and yourself. I’ve missed work to let these guys into my home. I asked for a chemical report because they’ve provided me with NO documentation AT ALL. They didn’t bring one. I asked for a copy of my original contract- they wouldn’t bring it. I’ve resorted to getting another extermination company into my home. They will be coming in two weeks to take care of the work that these guys consistently fail to do. The other company felt so bad about what I’ve been through with Responders that they have significantly discounted their treatments for me. Not worth the money, or the headache.

We booked a service, $350 for mice, and no guarantee, I called 3 other places and they offer 60-90 days for the same price or cheaper, I don't understand.. The guy said he would return but would have to charge us again... Our bad for not shopping around and just going with the first company we called. Please be more transparent with your customers.

They charged me almost $300 for mice control bates, they only put 6 and we have a 30 days guaranteed service, I called them on the 3rd week that we saw a mice again and he said called him back when it’s 30 days already. After that I called him and he said they do not make any money and need to charge me for $75 to put a new bates and check the old ones. Also he drop my call several times and act like nothing happened. Don’t go to this one, it’s waste of money and time.
