Perigrine is very professional, with a deep knowledge of pest control. We have used them twice now, and have been very happy with the results. We had ants coming in to our house, and once the treatment was done, the ants were gone by the time they left. We installed solar panels on our roof and found that it did not take long for pigeons to be attracted to the roof. We had not had a problem previously so it was related to the solar panels. We had Peregrine look at the panels and make recommendations. We decided to have a barrier installed along the edge of the panels. This was done efficiently and per the quote. The barriers are like the spikes installed under bridges to prevent birds from roosting on beams and supports. The barriers have eliminated the problem with birds. Thanks for the great job!

They told us how to monitor traffic in and out of the hole and then set up their humane traps for skunks. Skunks moved in under front step at the end of June. Called Peregrine on Canada Day, and made an appointment for the following week. Technician showed up when he said he would, placed the traps and gave us the instructions, and by the next day the pests were in the traps. Called peregrine, and the skunks were history by the evening. He left the traps freshly baited and set, but the issue was resolved already. After a few days, I called them back and later on, the traps and the pests were gone. They assured me They would redeploy the traps free of charge if need be, but I had already filled the hole under the step with brick and concrete. Were they pricey? Maybe. Effective? Definitely. Would I call them again? You bet. I'm not into herding skunks.

He patiently listened to what we had to say about our rodent problem, analyzed the situation and offered practical suggestions. He conducted a thorough walkthrough, and initiated to pull out the gas range in our kitchen and found a mouse hole in the wall! He also went up a ladder to check our drop-down ceilings at various spots. After placing the bait stations in strategic places inside the house, he walked around the outside of our property to check the walls, dryer vent, etc. He identified all possible entryways and gave advice on how to effectively seal them off. He will be back in 30 days to check on the bait stations and reposition them to focus on the high activity areas. We really appreciate Steven's high standards of professionalism and his effective two-way communication skills.

The communications with the tech were professional and timely. Nothing could be improved on the on-site aspect of the service. If they could improve one thing, it would be regarding communication with the office itself. I sent some emails with some questions that went unanswered. Also, I didn't get any confirmation replies when I sent info regarding specifics about access and codes and such. We were never able to enjoy our yard because if the spiders. It got so bad that our black rock in the flower beds would look like it was always moving...it was the the spiders moving, not the rocks. We had webs so bad that the kids couldn't use the trampoline. It was bad. For the past 3 years we have used Peregrine to rid our home and yard of spiders. The first technician that came did not seem trained much at all. I told hime my main concern was entry points as it didn't appear we had a huge infestation of mice. He walked around my house in about 2 min and left. I called to request a better trained tech. and explained my concern and they sent Stephen H. This tech was very knowledgable about entry points, did a thorough inspection and filled every accessible hole outside. He even wanted to remove some deck boards to check for more, but we all decided to see if the previously filled holes took care of the mouse problem first. We had only one nibble at one bait station on the first tech's visit, but none since Stephen H. was here! Stephen also mentioned to check around an extension of the house the previous owners added that did not appear to be well sealed so we have a plan of action if any more mice come in. We are very happy with the service. Stephen is a very talented technician! Update Jan, 2021: still mouse free!!!

First off, I left a message for them to call on my mobile, but they called my work phone, then when I asked how they remove skunks the lady was quite rude when I said that it was not humane treatment to keep a defenceless animal in a cage for over 12 hrs in the heat!! her explanation was that they are very busy and they will get to it when they can. really! this is a living creature. I have my primary home rented out in Calgary and have been managed through Mountain Park Real Estate. These guys are milking my rental property unit. They said they set traps in for skunk living underneath my deck and removed them EACH MONTH! Each month since January 10, 2018 to present, they have not resolved the skunk issue and keeps on charging $ 193.20 per trap line and they set up 3 which I find ridiculous! That's $ 600 that I don't have. If they can't resolve this issue, why bother coming back? Isn't that the reason why you guys are professionals and hired to do a job? For the past 4 months, they have charged me close to $ 2400 in removing skunks and with no progress! Just eating away my rental income like it's free. I'm a single homeowner with a single income just trying to make ends meet. I will not recommend these guys if they can't get the job done. Response to comment below: Thank you for your response but I am not satisfied by it. You cannot convince to tell me that you provided some of your service for free when I am billed for it (See the picture below). None of the bills says free. And for your team to catch 14 skunks in my house when there are duplexes after duplexes in the area is saying that my house was the only one in the area with an infestation? And if you came back at least multiple times in the property, you should have resolved it the first time or even the second time. That's not good business practice when you know there's a problem and milking it thinking it's easy money because the money I earn is hard earned. It's good to read some of the comments here that they're skunk issues where resolved on the 2nd visit and makes me wonder why that level of service was not provided with my property. Either way, this doesn't change the fact that I have been billed $ 2400 for unresolved issues.

I had to wait a few days to have someone come out, but the technician (Jeremy) was very polite and prompt when he came. I actually wasn't home when he first arrived (there was a scheduling mix up) but he was able to come back to do the job. Jeremy sprayed the wasp nest and said if there was still activity after a few days he would come back to re-treat. Due to the size of the nest, and because it was inside an old tree stump, there was quite a bit of activity still. Jeremy came back and totally demolished the stump and nest to make sure the problem would be solved. He also came back again a couple days later to make sure the wasps were totally gone. He saved the day for a big outdoor kids party I had planned and I was very happy with the service. The only downside was the turn around time, it took over a week from when I called to the time the nest was demolished. Because of the size of the nest we were not able to use our back yard comfortably for that time, so it would have been awesome to have a faster response time.

Arranged an appointment with them to deal with a concealed hornet nest. I was also told they cannot give me a time slot, the exterminator will call me when they are close by. We waited all day, I called the office at 3:30pm, was told they will come and will get a call when they are close, I asked what their work hours are, she said til 6pm. I called their office again at 5:50pm and informed her no one showed up, she told me they can work til 7pm to finish their appointments. At 8pm, no one showed up. This whole business appears very shady, first when I made the appointment, the receptionist asked for my credit card and said she will bill me directly when the exterminator finished his job and was reassured I didn't need to be there, they will spray the area as I described. I told her I'll pick a day where I can be there to make sure it's the right place. It's shady because no one showed up and if I picked a day I wasn't waiting, would I have been billed for no service but I would have no way of knowing aside from seeing lots of hornets around.

Took the tech two visits to take care of a wasp nest under our hot tub. I was quoted for the 'removal of up to two nests,' and even though they couldn't remove the nest due to location; they sprayed poison around it, and we were still charged the same amount. I called Peregrine to address a bad squirrel problem. From the first conversation to booking the appointment everything was friendly and efficient. I appreciated the follow up email that included the name and picture of the employee that would be performing the service. Jason arrived on time and was professional and knowledgeable. He took pictures when he was on the roof to show us exactly where the entry point was that the squirrels were accessing...a point we would never have found on our own due to the nature of our roof line. When he was done he took another picture and showed us exactly how he had built the "one-way" trap door. We're still in the 30 day period before he returns to remove the trap and permanently close the access point but I'm confident we will experience the same service.

As an apartment building manager, we have used Peregrine a number of times for bedbug infestations from tenants who carried them in on furniture and including carpet beetles. We have found them highly professional, patient and empathetic with explanations, they deal well with tenants, and they are very knowledgeable about treatment and results. I have not had any negative dealings with any staff member nor have tenants. I have complete confidence in them. I have to say in a world lacking customer service, my first impression with Peregrine was a pleasant surprise. I called and someone (Marilyn) actually answered the phone. We scheduled an appointment, Will showed up exactly on time and explained everything. He set the traps and viola! he was successful in catching the Pocket Gopher (who had decided to destroy my beautiful flower bed) the next day. He reset the traps and a few days later came back to check them. Who knew one Pocket Gopher could do so much damage. I have been a client of Peregrine Pest Control for 3 years now. Recently they installed a one-way skunk door to the side of my verandah. This door ensures any skunks under the verandah can leave before Peregrine puts in a dig defense system to prevent skunks from entering in the future. I wasn't interested in a catch-and-release system of skunk removal so I was very pleased Peregrine had another, more passive, option to deal with skunks.
