This is an extraordinary forest with very limited access. The only way is through a trip with bear cave mountain. It is a beautiful forest with absolutely no human impact. The river flows throughout most of winter which is very unusual. This land is sacred to first nation people. You will see grizzly bears and the experience is like none other. The guide, Phil, will allow you to be as close( about 6 feet or so) and you will never feel threatened including mother with Cubs. That alone would be reason to go there. Having seen grizzlies in many parts of North America I can safely say there is no other bear guide who gets this close to mom and cubs. The camp is modest with comfortable cottages with meet your " bear necessities". Do not expect any luxury or fancy food. Tours later in October will allow you see what they call ice bears - grizzlies in extreme cold weather. This is one of the great bear adventures of the world. You must go!
