Went to Bright Lights Windsor display, Saturday January 5,with my wife and two of our kids. The light display was impressive. Lots to see. Took us about 40 minutes to walk through the park. We missed out on the train ride because we went after 8:00 pm. We were also disappointed that none of the vendors were open and the only food trucks were kettle corn and poutine wagon.
I went during the time that all the Christmas lights were put up I'm the park. And overall I found it to be a magical experience. All the lights definitely have off a Christmas vibe, it is good for families and the lighting can also give out a romantic vibe for couples as well. Definitely a place to check out if you're passing by in the winter or any other season.
One of the best park in Windsor. Especially during the Christmas time when they arranged Windsor’s wonderland and lights and everything. People feel good when they see all kinds of decorations, lights and sculptures. Thanks to each and everyone who made this possible. Kudos to Windsor
Jackson Park is celebrating lighting of the park. 1 000 000 Christmas lights displayed. Its a must see family event. Get some hot chocolate and the kids, the dog and come walk with us through Jackson Park. I have a new Christmas tradition with my family.
????Jackson park - very nice park with lots of frowers.
What a beautiful place I can't wait to go back
Mind-blowing place! It's an amazing park in Windsor and it's decorated best for the Christmas month.
Beautiful sculptured gardens and walking trails. Fountains in the good-weather months. Nice washrooms.
Field for playing cricket, Sakura tree to symbolize friendship with Japan, connected to QE 2 Gardens, nice open field with benches, nice memorial spot.
Beautiful garden, very picturesque and very nice Memorial for the pilots of WWII.
A beautiful place for a quiet stroll, even in winter the old growth trees and open skies make for an enjoyable break from the city scape.
Tulips were in bloom today, May 15, 2018. Beautiful park.
Loved it! Was my first time and the lights were amazing. My only complaint would be the arrows didn't make sense and many weren't following them anyway.
Beautiful big walking park. Lots of space , lots of shade. Lots of different paths to take & memorials & sculptures to check out. Great for family and pets! Beautiful garden area! Bathrooms located at the parking lot.
Lights are very nice.. I think they should have spent the money fixing our horrible roads. And the open lot across from the park they were charging $3 to park... I think that's ridiculous. We parked for free right next door.
One of the best in Town. I usually go there for walk during weekdays and to play ???? Tennis on the weekend. Very decent price for renting a court for an hour for ???? also has a lots other options for sports as well as for photography. Lovely place to visit in city.
Windsor Bright lights. Very nice. Much larger displays then last year. Take some time with your family and go enjoy the festive ensemble of lights. On site vendors selling many handmade items that would make wonderful Christmas gifts.
Looks awesome, love the lighting during Christmas ???? and if you live around it would be a waste to not check it out for yourself
The Light show this year was fantastic, like every year. Love taking the kids on walks. Great for the pets too. Fountain is a nice sight as well as the airplane.
Christmas lights are beautiful! And they are also selling food and other things here so .. enjoy!!
This is probably my most favourite park in all of Ontario! It is extremely well taken care of by the city of Windsor. The beautiful flowers in the summer and then the beautiful light-show during Christmas are very much appreciated.
Really really good during the Windsor bright lights festival. Must visit during the holidays.
Great time, they did an amazing Job with the park lights and overall holiday/Christmas theme, nice place to go for a walk with the family and for photographers to get photo opportunities.
We walk our dogs here a lot and enjoy the flowers in the warmer months and the shoveled paths in the winter. Be sure to lock your car doors and don't leave valuables as there are thieves who have np breaking in to steal your stuff while you are enjoying the park.
Have been to this park in the summer for a wedding and the winter for the bright lights winter light show. Good experiences both times, the park is well maintained and was very pleasant to visit. I have not used the restrooms so I can't comment on those. Parking is limited
Restrooms available right by splash pad and playground. Lots of trees and picnic tables. Open grass areas to play sports. Trails around park close to playground for parents who want to walk or stroll a baby while older kids play. Plenty of close and free parking available. Really fun playground with lots of varied structures.
The bright lights were fabulous my family took pictures and memories were spread thru
Bright Lights Windsor was wonderful!
Was the most beautiful thing in lights that this old soul ever did see and in these times it's what any young old or any age should go see to light a little hope in there hearts????
I always enjoy walking through the park summer spring fall I don't think I've ever visit in the winter time..... However those new lights have change that experience this year... I've really enjoyed myself thank you
This is one of the city of Windsor's most beautiful parks. Chances are very good it will be one of the first things a new visitor sees as they come over the bridge and into the downtown core of Windsor. Queen Elizabeth II viewed this park from her motorcade when she visited in 1984. It is currently under some transformation and I am sure it will continue to be a place of solitude and beauty for years to come. I encourage you to come and see for yourself.
Amazing Christmas lights display.
Excited for Windsor Lights.. ????????????
Most iconic park in downtown Windsor. Many venues happen there and the park setup is just right for all kinds of family/friends activities. There are different spots with different views so you can’t get bored really. Grab a friend and walk the park, you’ll get what I mean :)
Hello, gotta love/hate Jackson park. One hand it’s great for seeing what Windsor cares about, people with out homes or food and downtown mission has no where for people to stay. Yet we put a ton of money every year into the lights. I come to meet people for Pokémon raids and see the flowers during the summer. Otherwise never visit.
Crazy good lights !
A beautiful oasis in the middle of town. A great place to stop and have lunch, walk a dog or just hang out. Beautiful formal gardens surrounded by a traditional "grass park" setting loads.of little nooks and crannies to explore.
I loved the way they had decorated the park with all the Christmas lights and, ofcourse, the fact that they also had free small Tim Hortons coffee and hot chocolate! ????
Terrific light show.
A staple for Windsor. Nice park where there are landmarks such as the WWII bomber airplanes. The well maintained and clean washrooms are much appreciated and modern. Well done :)
Fountains Privately Owned Parkside Tennis Club Copernicus Sundial South African War Memorial Land, Sea, Air Memorial Robert Burns Memorial Perfect spot for wedding photos and prom photos Great for a scenic walk too Parking on location Washrooms on location Decorated for the holidays Downtown windsor in walking distance
Going to Jackson park for their Christmas light show was beautifully amazing. No amount of pictures could do justice. Definitely a place one should go to visit and walk through to experience. You go at night to appreciate the lights.
Beautiful lights this year
Best water pard pad for kids in the City. My grandkids love it. Massive waterpad and park
Good hangout place (like a park) in Windsor to go for a walk, doing yoga and to spend some time with your loved ones.
Lovely Christmas experience. It's a beautiful stroll through a sea of lights. Some food and hot drinks are available, making it a mini Christmas market.
Very big area considering both sides of Oulette. Needs water fountains. There is a bicycle air pump spot. I like to run up the overpass hill and run around the cushy playground.
Went for the light festival. Was decorated very well. Was bit tricky to get parking though.
Very clean park, my kids love going to this park. I love that it's close to home and has lots of room for the kids to run around.
Lots of lights and beautifully made structures. Christmas tree is very huge and there is plenty of parking.
Huge and nice park to kill your time ????
This is a very enjoyable park with lots to see. The Christmas Lights are beautiful and so many different displays!!!!! ????????????????
Lovely all year round. Wish I had some summer photos on hand to show the beauty of the gardens!
No organization. Arrows directing traffic but they are hard to follow and nobody actually is. Lights are soo beautiful though.
Wonderful light display. Well done!
Very nice, well maintain park. A good place during summer to chill out with friends & family. Huge place for kids play area and well developed grass. Free entry, it has artificial turf for cricket practice. During winters (Xmas time) it’s well decorated with lights & Xmas trees etc.
The park shines beautifully with colourful lights in December. 'Bright lights' is definitely a creative winter activity for the city and Jackson Park hosts majority of the light exhibits. A large park within the city of Windsor. Symmetrical arrangement of flowering plants makes the park look good in summer too.
Just a Beautiful Park. Has a Wonderful Garden to see in our summer's. Just a nice touch with the Lights to Celebrate Christmas and our Lord.
Really a place to visit, especially during the Christmas Lights.
Lovely park to enjoy fall and the last blooms of flowering plants. You may also meet a few photographers in there.....the birds are amazing at the park. If you have not added this area for a fall photoshoot you should consider it as there are shaded areas as well under trees that are perfect. Pack a lunch or takeout and grab a bench.
Nice park, great Christmas light show
Wow! Jackson park in the Christmas time was absolutely stunning. Plus they had little shops in the back with amazing food and mittens to stay warm if you need them!
This is a amazing park which is in the Center city and so large with many flowers and greenery.
This by far. Is one of. If not. The most gorgeous, of all parks. In the Windsor region. It is in the center of the city. This is also. Windsor, Parks and Recreation, home base for they're landscape and maitinance warehouse location. Definitely a excellent choice for photography. Relaxation. Pleasure time with friends, family and out pets. A definite must see.
Nice playground for kids of all ages. Splash pad right next to playground with a pavilion filled with picnic tables. Lots of shaded grass area and the playground is under enough shade. Great place for kids of all ages. Just a little walk through the underpass to a nice flower garden for peaceful walks in Queen Elizabeth gardens.
My daughter had her engagement pictures taken here and they came out beautiful. The lights are always nice in the winter
It's really beautiful and well maintained
The 2019 Windsor Lights Christmas Display is absolutely spectacular. A must see if you are in Windsor this Holiday Season. A Family outing and photo ops at its best. Well done.
The aircraft memorial was my favourite and of course the tiny fireflies :)
Beautiful park for many different occasions!
It's nice for walking and has a nice view ????????
Spectacular lights. I totally enjoyed the atmosphere.
Jackson Park is on of my favorite places in Windsor to unwind have a picnic a dog walk a bike ride or all three at once. Love the Historic sculptures. With tribute memorials to War Veterans.
Beautiful day to look at flowers. The bathroom floors were a bit nasty but toilets were ok. the flowers were amazing.
Very beautiful place to sit ,calm nice walking area, flowers ,trees
Awesome park!!
Wonderful park. Fun for the kids and beautiful for the adults. There are zen gardens, and gardens that are shaped like planes with spitfires hovering above. . . . .
Great park for kids and adults
A peace of heaven in the middle of city noise.
Jackson Park is one of the most intricate parks in Windsor. Visitors to the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens can enjoy the flowers of the season: hundreds of tulips in May, followed by the abundance of summer perennials and lush annuals. The park features some of the most magnificent formal gardens and fountains in Windsor.
Lovely between January and November before it's overrun with unnecessary xmas lights. Would love to be able to enjoy the park all year!
Just love the Christmas lights
Just visit..
The lights were beautiful and it wasn't busy
Great Christmas lights each year!
It was really amazing with bright light program
Awesome park, lights at night are amazing
Very nice park in Windsor~ It is named by locations. This park include two parts that be separated by a highway. It's very easy to play at each of them because there is a road which under the highway bridge connecting them. Very friendly design for everyone. We all love this park very much.
Beautiful park during winter and summer. In summer they have beautiful flowers planted and the city takes exceptional care. In December they have the Bright Lights set up , that get bigger every year. Perfect to take your family young and old
We went to Bright Lights - it was beautiful. Will go next year for sure. It's also a great place to hang out all year round. Make sure to keep a dog on a leash though. The perimeter of the park isn't secured.
Totally mesmerized by the magical Bright Lights Windsor held at this lovely park. And it’s free!
Jackson park is a great place for a walk. It always has wonderful flowers during the season. It's very peaceful and calming place to go. It's also always a great place to take some family pictures! During winter the lights are a great treat that is definitely worth a look.
Great time, we needed a brake from home an our town, will post pic's after.
Good park. Parking is a challenge when going with family.
The bright lights Windsor display was incredible. Much more impressive than the festival of lights in Niagara Falls.
lots of great photo areas, a lot of animals, great space
It was a lot smaller area this year with covid but still very enjoyable. So many beautiful lights and displays to enjoy.
Scenic parks with amazing lights and decor.
Great park nice and clean minus the crack heads sleeping under trees, but my boys enjoyed it.
One of nice Christmas atmosphere ???? ???? I have ever seen. The Christmas lights was totally awesome ???? ???? ????
Beautiful but all this COVID stuff makes everything not so beautiful. To many rules for nothing.
The tennis club here is pretty nice, but the surface of the road sucks ,looks like a rally track, dirt all over, and will ruin ur car if it's raining.
It's so nice to be there.. so calm environment and good weather ????
This tree at Jackson Park is a great representation of Windsor. Knocked down, but never gave up! Still here and growing.
Pleasant flower gardens with walking paths. Multiple memorials and a park nearby. Lawn bowling available too. Spacious empty fields for playing.
Attended Bright Lights Windsor. The setup was awesome. The addition of the vendors was also nice to see. Nice job City of Windsor!
Very nice! I loved the Christmas Lights! They had many people and lights, there was food, drinks, and more! Many spots to take awesome photos and enjoy your time! Loved it!!!!
Very beautiful to walk and take in fresh air. In Christmas season it's absolutely amazing with all the lights. Amazing time and very good opportunities for taking great pics.
The whole Christmas experience with my granddaughter was great. The Christmas lights were excellent she got to talk to Santa Claus and have her picture taken. She was a very happy 3 year old little girl. Santa made her year.
So beautiful with all the Lights. So many people were out enjoying the magic of Christmas. Next year I would live if the whole Park was light up. A donation bin would be helpful and monies given to homeless & shelters.
I love the wood carvings the best. The different flowers ????were beautiful
Nice, first time, beautiful lights!
Windsor's Bright Lights was spectacular!! What a lot of great, hard work!
Really beautiful. Great for pictures. Definitely worth going in the park to see. If you can't go inside then at least drive by. Sidewalks make it convenient for strollers too. They have a few vendors to sell their wares and give you opportunity to pick up a tasty treat to enjoy while walking the lights. The train ride was enjoyable and something the kids would definitely want to do. Very nice setup. Street parking only.
I Love to enjoy Jackson Park during spring summer and fall but because I am Against the CityOf Windsor wasting over $3 million dollars on the stupid light display in the winter is why I have marked it 3 ⭐⭐⭐. Otherwise this is a great place to go for a walk play sports., Have a picnic play tennis ,cricket baseball soccer etcc have wedding pictures taken or birthday parties also taking a new Love to have a romantic picnic in the park
Greatand a peaceful park, had a great evening with friends during the Windsor lights festival ...
Nice park. Has open public washrooms. Quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful greenery and lots of activities. Paths are well kept and easy to bike on.
Christmas lights were very nice this year during the holidays. During spring and summer, it's a great place for a picnic, a small sport game or a simple stroll through the gorgeous gardens. The city puts alot of effort into this park.
Lights festival at jackson Park always a great time
Not many flowers yet. Still calming to walk through. Several private spots to picnic.
Beautiful lights and free admission. Really nice to walk through at night and there’s also nice shops that sell Mexican hot chocolate and churros.
Beautiful place during Christmas
This park has a fantastic play ground with a very large tower in tge center. There is a splash pad for children. Public toilets and change rooms. All in a well treed area with picnic tables.
Jackson Park is at the corner of Ouelette & Tecumseh in Windsor, Ontario and I love this place. The atmosphere is wonderful: Quiet & Peaceful. The people and children are friendly. I feel very safe there. I go to Jackson Park every chance I get.
Perfect for a night walk and even more appealing during the day!
Nice updated park. Ensure you are safe there with people around you and with dogs.
A beautiful place to celebrate Christmas and new year
This was the park I always remember as a kid going to with my parents and for wedding photos etc.. Glad to do the streetview tour on it. I somehow miss the lancaster bomber but they did a good job replacing it. Hope everyone enjoys it. I do apologize about the fountain but there was torrential rains a few hours earlier.
The Christmas decor and holiday market are very pretty!! ????
It's famous park located north side of Windsor in very popular Techumseh road, its a hugh park used for multi purposes, i love to visit this park during winter time just for Christmas lighting, and during summer lots of sports activities will be available, e.x. football, cricket, outdoor sports
Great park in the middle of Windsor. Large wooded area. Picnic benches, splash pad for the little ones. Playground equipment and close by are tennis courts etc.
A Beautiful park! Very relaxing with gorgeous displays of flowers. Also a war memorial at the end. Across the street the park is extended more for family BBQs and play. Many good memories here as a child.
The park is clean and well kept. The splash pad and equipment for the kids is awesome! The bathroom facilities are very handy but could use some additional service.
With its beautiful gardens and landscaping, Jackson Park really is a jewel in Windsor's crown. The City of Windsor caretakers of this park do an absolutely fantastic job! I came to see the displayed replicas of a Hurricane and Spitfire positioned over a silhouette of the Lancaster Bomber that used to occupy the same space (currently under restoration) It is a stunning display honouring local service men that died while serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. Per ardua ad astra.
Very beautiful at night, cool place to go during the Christmas holidays.
Nice and beautiful park to visit especially during festive season especially Christmas. Park is beautifully decorated with lights during Christmas.
The lights are beautiful as always. Also, they gave a churro and hot chocolate concession .. def recommend
Most peaceful place in the city
Calm place for walk, beautiful flowering plants are extremely well-maintained in the garden area at the center. Very peaceful place. The park is famous for its Christmas lights in which whole park is covered with designer neon and LED lights in various forms and shapes.
A great place to just take a walk and relax. The flowers are very nice to look at. It's a great place to take pictures!!
A beautiful park.
The park has a nice, calming ambience at night. Very peaceful, and fun for catching Pokemon. ;) The current excavation on the eastern side takes away some of the charm at the moment, and there is still standing water on a few pathways from the last storm, but overall it remains a highlight of the city.
This is my first year going to the bright lights at Jackson park, and I must say they did an amazing job. The lights were beautifully done. The parking is a hassle at certain times but we were able to find a spot in 15 mins or so. A shuttle service would be amazing.
Although the gardens are nice we had no place to park and ended up parking alo g the road at the back like everyone else. We were there fo prom photos for my daughter and ended up with a 30$ parking fine even though there was no parking in the lot and there were no "no parking" signs visible anywhere... so I was ticketed at a park our taxes pay for on a special day for our family and I will be sure that I review fo the city of windsor every chance I get...btw, the gardens are nice e and very picturesque.
It was really nice experience ????
Nice place to take a stroll with or without family.
Jackson Park is certainly worth a detour if you happen to be in Windsor. The park is filled with a multitude of flowers and trees. Up next, there are many monuments, honouring different countries, cultures and veterans. You can walk around the park for hours without getting bored.
Well planned park with lovely winding trails. The shallow pond is something nice to see. The landscaping is lovely with some hidden areas that are very cute. Eg. The rock garden near the water feature. This park has some Polish influence and is great for those who appreciate history. The two planes on display are also worth a visit.
Went to see the lights. Very nice display.
The lights were nice
Wonderful Christmas light show. Concrete paths to walk on so no muddy feet. A must see. Open 5:30 to 10 at night. Takes a good hour to see it all. Dress warm bring a camera.
Bright lights even better than last year. We really enjoyed the walk around the park enjoying the festivities
Came from Amherstburg with a few family members to enjoy the lights. Lots of families walking around, taking pictures at various spots with music playing to get you into the Christmas spirit! There are a few shops, food vendors and even a little train! Loved the atmosphere! Such a plus for the city of Windsor!! Well done!
My sister and I walked in a peaceful setting, with a view of beautiful flowers and plants. Plenty of benches to sit at and enjoy our talk and catch up.
Great place to visit specially on a sunny day. On the holiday season it is probably the best decorated place in whole of the windsor. The lights were colorful and absolutely amazing. It was worth going into the park on three different nights. Had a lot of fun and took plenty of photos. Don't forget to bring your tripod stand though.
It's a very nice place to go for a walk. Always very well maintained and recently updated. Bright lights every year here is very beautiful and definitely a must see for everyone.
One of the most beautiful and largest parks in the city. Lots of Baseball Diamonds, Windsor Stadium, Lawn Bowling and Queen Elizabeth Gardens. A favourite of local Pokemon Go Players
Gorgeous park - you can tell the plants are very well taken care of. I also suggest everyone walk around and read the details of the memorials considering world events as of lately.
Beautiful Christmas light display, nice walk through the park. Several spots along the way to take photos with the family.
One of the best parks in Windsor. It has memorials with flowers, trails and paths. If you continue South you will reach an overpass if you continue and take a right, you will get to the splash pad and park. There are public washrooms which are kept in good condition as well as a basket ball court. There are places to sit and eat, or just relax. During winter as it gets close to Christmas, the park turns into a glowing wonderland with lights everywhere, it is truly one of Windsor's few attractions. Overall this park is a great place to walk the dog, take your kids for a walk or just a place to relax and think. ✔️
Beautiful way to get people out for a walk in the park during winter. Keep it going Windsor!
Perfect place to go and chill, relax, picnic, etc. The landscaping is very pretty.
Nice park. Has a variety of flowers and plants. The memorial statues are nice too. And the plane models are very cool as well. Only downside is that there are a lot of mosquitoes and insects in the evening because of the plant life, so bring some repellent. Good place to relax and enjoy.
Very nice and cool (literally) place. A best place to take wedding / ceremonial pictures.
Great place to relax and walk . Beautiful gardens
I love this park. It is roughly located centrally in the city amidst the busy daily city life. It is a large quite park in the busy city life. I love walking near the fountains and watch the cute squirrels chase one another while listening to the sounds from all over the trees above. During Christmas, the city lavishly decorates it with beautiful Christmas lights.
Went for the lights. It isvery well done . There were a lot of people and parking was hard to find but we can see why . Good job Windsor . Now you need to sell sponsorships of the different sections to raise money for local charities and pay for it all... just a sugestion
Great park for a walk or to take pictures. Bright lights in December is fantastic!
I rated it low because I still remember what the park used to look like. It once had in the summer months beautiful fish in the pond, alot more flowers and the giant airplane was amazing compared to what we have now. Basically Jackson Park is a sad reminder of what once was.
Good park, little bit crowded during Christmas but normally pretty big park. Nice location, centrally accessible. Great maintenance people
A wonderful park with plenty of flowers and plants, walking trails, and room to play sports. There is a huge playground and splashpad as well. Our family loves this park.
Absolutely Beautiful
Came here with a friend while it was still all lit up for the holidays, definitely worth checking out! The park's well worth the visit.
Nice park and splash pad. A lot of mud around the splash pad due to poor water control
Had the festival of Christmas lights , it is FANTASTIC..
Christmas winter light display 2017/18 is impressive, music, trees decorated, wow impressive for the holidays. Open until 10pm daily, come check it out at Jackson Park. Parking at Kennedy High school next door!
It was nice took to finally go n get some pictures and the best part was finding a lil vender selling kettle corn and my wife loves kettle corn and never gets any
Loved the place. I happened to visit the park a few days before Christmas and the whole park was lighted up and it was so colorful. Perfect place to spend time with Family and Friends. Excellent place for photography as well, I clicked some amazing pictures in this park. I wish they had stalls for food and coffee, but would make the place more cheerful and exciting. They do have some stalls which are open only during the weekends. Overall it's an amazing place and you should definitely visit it when you are in Windsor. ????????
Beautiful. Went in the summer when the flowers were blooming. Now went to the xmas lights tonight. Beautifully done and well organized.
Bright lights in December are a must!
We attended Windsor Lights on a regular night and on Monday sensory night. Both nights were fantastic. Bundle for the cold it is longer than it looks. Update: Second time around, 2021, lights were beautiful but some more simple. Big light tree was not as nice as previous years. Part of lights closed off, probably due to winds knocking sections down. Less things than usual and more spread out for social distancing. Only one vendor was open. Went on a Thursday night.
Jackson Park is a beautiful place to visit anytime of the year. The lights are spectacular addition of the celebration of winter in Windsor.
Really enjoyed walking around the park and seeing all the Christmas lights, with that being said the only thing I didn't like was the fact that there was arrows showing which direction to walk because the paths were supposed to be one way only (which I completely understand they want to keep people ad safe as possible) but everyone was getting confused with the signs and just stopped following them because as you are walkin down a path there can be signs pointing 2 different directions so no one knew if they were walking the right way. The signs is the only thing that I think needs to be fixed other then that it was a great experience.
Awesome experience for the kids and adults. Put you in a Christmas spirit
Wonderful place for wedding photos
Worth visiting...
Great park to walk around. Nice scenery, great place to enjoy some fresh air!
Climbed a tree and bathed in sunshine, fantastic way to escape the concrete and steel of the city.
Went to bright lights Windsor. Very well done, lots of hard work put in. To anyone who complains of the cost of running this, get a life. This is basically Windsor's only event as a city. It's awesome. Thanks
What a beautiful Christmas display of lights!
One of Windsor's nicest public gardens. In the summer there are the most beautiful flowers. In the winter, the park gets lit up by a wonderful Christmas light display. Always a pleasure to walk through on a beautiful day.
Went to the Bright Lights with my kids and grandson. Very impressive. Definitely recommend.
Great park in summertime, stunning christmas lights display in wintertime!
Probably the most beautiful park I . The city with many gardens gian fountain old war plains and even a park for the kids an best of all a bathroom.
The playground is great for kids of all ages. Lots to do!
Amazing light display. Best I've seen this year.
It is very beautiful and mesmerizing with beautiful lighting on Christmas Eve
Parking tight at high school, easier to park under bridge and use that entrance for light show.
Bright Lights is a great addition for the Holiday Season.
Great play equipment and even challenging for the older kids, plus a well designed brand new splash pad. Just watch out for the parking police who ticket even though there are no signs to warn you about no parking on the side of the road.
Surprisin Park in the middle of the city
Such a wonderful event! Thank you City of Windsor for this now yearly tradition!
Love this park???? It's beautiful all year round. This little guy came right up to us, looking for some ???? lol
Jackson park is one of the most green parks in Windsor beautiful flowers and pathways . Looking forward to bringing my grandson in the summer when the new big splash pad will be done right next to the park.
Absolutely beautiful during the holidays. Went with my mum for the first time this year and was pleasantly surprised with the light display, absolutely whimsical! And there were a couple food trucks near the entrance as well, and the public washrooms are quite clean.
The Christmas ???? lights were amazing ????
Absolutely Beautiful light show here
This is a wonderful place to hang out for a picnic on a beautiful day or even just so the kids can play. They have the splash Pad as well as a nice slide area.
Cool park, great for walking dogs. The lights are beautiful in the winter.
One of Windsor’s nicest parks. The city has done a great job with the winter light show. Great idea to get the community outdoors during this frigid winter temperature. Very scenic environment in the summer time too. A must see for anyone visiting the area.
The park is beautiful during all season. The landscaping is done well. The best time is late spring. This year they had winter lights, music and activities until about early January 2018 which most of the city enjoyed it was a new event to experience.
Of course it's a good place to hang out ????
Gorgeous lights loved the tree set to music definitely worth seeing
North side of park is fenced off for something There are large machines driving through there.
Windsor lights were beautiful!
Great for the kids, great for the family. Big park and splash pad lots pf space tp set up your portable bbq lay down a blanket crank some tunes soak up some sun rays as yhe kids wear themselves out. Bathrooms are fully functional both mens womens and the 2 family ones, which is great to have because i have a daughter and i dont have to try ushering her through the mensroom.. i love places that facilitate that. Other than the fact that someone had thrown a diaper in the toilet and the other had no roilet paper the evening was wonderful! Get out there and have fun!!
1.5 Million dollars was spent on a lighting project. Paid in full by our Great City :Windsor, Ontario. Canada. Hey the best part of all of this well spent money is--we have homeless people but no budget for something like enough beds for people who really needed help...At least they had pretty lights to look at in the cold winter night!!!
I feel it's one of the most beautiful parks in Windsor. Both during the summer and winter.
Gorgeous.... especially at Christmas!!
Beautiful any season definitely a must see if you haven't been.
So well kept ....nice place for a picnic and a walk
Just the best kept park year round events just chech city lists
I love to go here and walk around and look at the pretty gardens and the fountain. it is always clean and tidy. I was dissaponted when they took the Lancaster down as it gave the park a unique experience. Kind of dangerous. Be sure to not leave any valuables in your car or they WILL be stolen!
Lights were lovely. Nice to see the families out enjoying the experience. It would be nice if there were more concessions open. Then again we went on Boxing Day. I believe that there are more concessions open on the weekend. The train is a nice addition this year.
Saw the lights there. Really well done. A little busy, but good. If you go around Christmas, go to the tree in the centre and wait for the music. The tree's lights are synchronized to the music
Beautiful park and good place to enjoy the beauty of nature flowers and roses..
Good, but no security check,it is very mandatory for safety of people who walk and jog there.specially at night.
You should go check out the light decorations. Amazing
Beautiful park! Love the lights at Christmas ???? Do not miss it!
Beautiful light show!
It was fun but closed to early
Beautiful park.
Great location to hang out irrespective of season/weather. Lighting arrangement make this place better at night time.
This park is wonderful! We love the experience of just walking around this jewel that is Windsor's. My grandkids are over the moon when we go there. The only thing I would say that is negative it needs attention on some of the cleanup around the park. We saw a lot of plastic water bottles everywhere so that bothered me. I know that people are too lazy to throw them out so I guess they figure a beautiful park could use some debris. Just heartbreaking! Other then that I love the park...
They close the park for half the year to set up their waste of money lights. For a regular person who uses it for exercise, it isn't available. I'll have to find a new place from end of October until at least Feb or March probably. Would rate it zero stars if I could
Way more lights than last year..great job Windsor. But a suggestion for next year... charge a can good for admission and donate to the mission
Beautiful park. Good playground and splash pad for kids.
Great park and Christmas lights
Gorgeous and well-maintained gardens provide a beautiful centerpiece to the surrounding walking paths.
The garden is set so beautifully and I love that it is always maintained. The city of Windsor hasn't always done the best job at maintenance but their performance has definitely increased over the years. Jackson park is a great get away and an awesome escape. The floral arrangements and unique trees add so much character to this park placed in the middle of two very busy streets.
What can I say that every other person who lives in Windsor hasn't said already! The lights were absolutely gorgeous for all the naysayers bah humbug to you! The carolers around the park the different displays and photo opportunities loved every minute! We did not ride the free train ride because unfortunately the line was just a little bit too long tonight but the outdoor Market was also super cute! The winds are firefighters were on hand teaching the kids all about the truck the one gentleman particular was great with the kids! My whole family had a great time!!!
Great to see the Christmas lights during the holiday season!
I love this place! It is a beautiful and serene walk. Everyone was practicing social distancing but still passed on smiles and hellos.
Fantastic summer and spring gardens that change every year. Interesting mix of tropical plants too that do well in Windsor climate. The winter bright lights display is a must for any holiday fan!
Very beautiful place to sit ,calm nice walking area and good place for Photography. If you are new in Windsor you have to visit their.
Jackson Park at Christmas, spectacular!!! City of Windsor is hosting the third annual #Bright Lights Windsor Festival. Stunning displays, Holiday Market. A giant illuminated Xmas tree and a brilliant display of thousands of lights illuminate the park.???????? Very impressive and a great outing for families over the Christmas break. Thank you Windsor for making memories that will last a lifetime ????
Beautiful christmas light display! ????
It was a beautiful winter wonderland with people of all nations walking around singing and enjoying the lights. Great job Windsor
Beautiful park in downtown Windsor. Whether you are in the queens gardens, around the battle of britain memorial, or just in the greater park you are guaranteed to be surrounded by beautiful scenery. The Battle of Britain memorial day ceremony is hosted here, as well as the Windsor Light Display. Depending on the time of day you come here you are going to have an entirely different experience.
Gorgeous. So well kept and thought out????
Such a beautiful park! Lots of walking space, lots of flowers, lots of things to look at, and lots of benches! Simply beautiful. Litter is kept to a minimum, I'm assuming because of the amount of garbage cans and the hard workers that keep up the park (thank you!). It's right next to a highschool so expect to run into highschool kids all the time! My only complaint is that I wish they had more picnic style benches throughout the park. We sought to sit at one but could only find normal benches, but found about 3 different picnic benches we could have used near the exit of the park (near the highschool). Otherwise this park is simply beautiful and perfect!
Great park to walk around in seeing pretty flowers in the spring and summer months and beautiful Christmas lights during the winter ????
Fun! Calming! The playground was good but the friends were NICE! please add a slide in splash pad, water slide small.
Such a treat for the family. So grateful for this experience
By far an oasis in the city. I bring my 92 year old mother to see the beautiful display of flowers. Quiet and beautiful. Every season boasts a new array of flowers.
Great spot for a family picnic and a dog walk.
They have a park for kids as well, so it's nice for all the members of the family
Wonderful little park for a walk. There is often events that are hosted here, such as the " bright lights" There is also little known fact about Jackson park, there are 5 hidden geocache locations here. If and when you have time and want to have a fun little game, look up the geocaching coordinates and have fun searching.
Nice park, clean spitfire air plane is a nice touch. Can't give a high rating when comparing other Canadian parks.
Bright lights were on point
Absolutely beautiful, worth going
Nice place lots of trees and flowers for a casual stroll
Very well kept gardens with parking and washroom facilities.
It's Great to go for a walk through the park.
Its just beautiful to walk in the park and have the Christmas spirit with all the lights!
Awesome light show! All the kids absolutely loved it and it was extravagant. They did a great job this year
Today my daughter had her prom pictures taken there with 3 other schools meaning a lot of family and friends were there. It was a shame for many people to get parking tickets on a day where there are hundreds of people and nowhere to park.
Amazing Christmas lights this year. Kids love it so much.
Jackson Park was decorated by Canada's government, they spent a million-and-a-half dollars on Christmas lights. Although I think that's an insane amount of money to spend on decorations that could clearly go to veterans homeless people Etc. The park was very beautiful the colors were absolutely gorgeous the decorations were beautiful. They were even places within the decorations to take family pictures. The grounds were in good condition, being that it is so new it is very very busy so if you are taking a stroller or somebody in a wheelchair it might be a little difficult to maneuver around. But if I was to recommend taking the time to see the Christmas decorations and lights and read it from one being minimal to 10 being the most I would definitely give it a 10. Is definitely worth even a quick walk-through. You might have to park a ways away and walk but it's worth it. Great job for whoever did all the work. It is truly beautiful.
Nice splash pad and play area. Kids had a good time.
beautful lights show for holiday!
Lot of money for the light show. Money could have been better spent.
Great positive energy. Cricket field is not well maintained ground is uneven which makes it very unsafe for person who play there and I am one of them, grass is not cut up to the cricket requirements.
We usually enjoy our visits to the splash pad but 2 days ago when we were walking up to it we stepped in what smelled like sewage water. It was up to our ankles , smelled awful and was everywhere. It was also attracting tons of mosquitoes. We ended up leaving after 15 minutes. I hope whoever maintains the park will fix this problem soon.
Awesome light show going on this holiday so beautiful! We used to walk the park nightly with friends back when Pokemon go was a huge craze! Beautiful place.
Christmas light display is a must to see. 4 out of 5 stars for no or limited parking to accommodate crowds. Disney display without Mickey. Windsor did good with this one.
Nice park with blossoming flowers. Some memorials and replicas of WWII British fighter planes
Just drove by, it sure looked pretty with the lights.
Beautiful park with long walking trails and fun for kids as well.
It was nice and clean other than some picnic tables were in terrible condition
One of the best parks in the city with a ton of local history right inside. Went out for the "Bright Lights" event and it was one of the best events the city has held in the colder months. Couldn't be happier with the experience, in the spring/summer the entire park is nearly taken care of for a perfect stroll.
Very well set up, clean and safe for walking, amazing set ups and props for pictures!
Very peaceful I go every summer and I take my dog with my dog buggy and we have a picnic together I think it is a great place to be when your mother is in a nursing home and you are with your best friend your dog and you can think clearly.
Visited the park recently for bright lights event. I the night park looked really good. Better wear warm clothes because you have to take a walk around the park to see the "light sculptures". It's best if you are equipped with tripods to get good pics of yours!
Amazing park and gardens inside the city center. Great for wedding, prom, or family photos. Updated amenities have been recently introduced and it seems more are on the way. Wonderful place to enjoy a nice day with someone special.
A calm and relaxing picturesque place to visit away from the busy city noise.
Very nice garden. Whole family enjoy going there.
The lights were fantastic!
Nice park. Brother had his wedding here. Lots of people doing formal pictures around the park
Beautiful landscape and lots of good food choices around so we would bring lunch for a nice picnic in the summer. Nice walking path lots to look at and nice for pictures. In the winter the light display was beautiful although the parking situation was kind of a mess or was still worth going. Very nice and clean.
Bright lights and D&D mascots with mickey and minnie mouse were amazing
I love walking in the Jackson park around the flowers and birds I always see cute bunnies,I enjoying it a lot.
Beautiful park to visit with family/ friends. The recent renovations has given the park a good facelift.
This park is great if you're looking for a place in Windsor to go out with kids. It has a big nice splah pad to keep your kids entertained and cool during hot summer. Slides and swings are next to the splash pad too. There 2 entrances to the park, the one that have accessvto the splah pad is on Dougall. My only issue with this park is parking. Very limited parking spots are available.
A must to go. now till Jan 7 2018. Windsor did a wonderfull job decorating the park. thanks to the spinners Enwin. and Caesars Casino. great job. big turn out for lighting the tree ceremonies.. ...maybe NEXT. year be nice to have the planes decorated. if possible. since they been a icon in the park for many many years
We visited during December. They park was decorated nice. Downtown take too long to walk through. The kids seemed to enjoy it
Nice park. The Christmas lights were great.
The lights were great. They should keep them here next year. Don't move them down town.
The park is beautiful during all season. The landscaping is done well. The best time is late spring. This year they had winter lights, music and activities until about early January 2018 which most of the city enjoyed it was a new event to experience.
We spent just over an hour playing on the clean, well maintained playground. When my kid got too hot he spent the second half of our visit on the engaging and refreshing splash pad.
It was a rainy day but the lighting was excellent and the singing tree made our night a memorable one
Brightlights windsor was a beautiful stroll tonight.
Always a nice place to go for a walk and take some pictures!
Beautiful....me and my girlfriend recently brought our kids for a walk there and loved it. Very clean
Really enjoyed the lights display for Christmas!
They have done such a great job with the park! It is so beautiful! Benches to sit on and enjoy! They are fixing 2 buildings near the entrance but it doesn't disturb the view! Great job Windsor!
Beautiful Christmas lit display. Can't believe Windsor pulled this off!
City of Windsor did a great job with the lights.
Always nice getting outdoors for a walk in the park. Been enjoying this park since I was a kid.
I love Jackson Park. It's one of my top spots to meet clients for photography. The gardens are always bright and well kept and the Christmas lights are really nice in the Winter.
It was my five year old little cousin's, my boyfriend's and myselfs first time at the Christmas lights at Jackson Park. They were wonderful to see I would go every year to see what is new to the lighting.
Beautiful park and experience, and nice place for a picnic. Lots of mosquitoes though in late July afternoons which is odd because it isn't close to water.
Jackson Park is well maintained and has a family friendly atmosphere! It's great for couples or even if you just need a place to sit and think.
Great place to visit for some exercise, a casual stroll or date night. During the summer, the park is well maintained and has plants everywhere. The park is safe and usually monitored after hours by the police auxiliary. In the winter, the park hosts the Winter lights. Great opportunity to get out and experience some holiday cheer. There's a few different war memorials within the park. Loads of opportunities for aspiring photographers and wedding photos. Note: even though there are auxiliary police, I don't recommend leaving any valuables in site in your vehicle.
A nice gem near downtown that will make you forget you are even downtown anymore
They did a good job with this display. The various sections are intentional and flow well. Given COVID they had arrows to direct traffi. Some of the sections were closed when I went due to high winds and safety precautions. I recommend checking out the lights- a grwat reason to be outside this winter.
Great place to visit on a summer vacation...rose gardens, ww2 airplanes, open space and picnic tables. If you can catch the winter lights display, I highly recommend to do so...(my fiancee said yes, so I'm sure she would agree too!)
Splash pad/park is great, very clean. Lots of shade and a pavilion.
Wonderful parkland. Huge variety of plant material, from huge trees, to carefully tended bushes and flowers. Many memorial/historical plaques.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Must go and enjoy the view.
Loved the Christmas lights ✨ with my family
The Christmas Lights Display was fantastic.
Had an awesome time there with granddaughter and wife
Always a nice place to get a walk in and appreciate a well put together park in the city. Better with animals to go with :)
Nice and well maintained. Flowers and plants are good.
Am I the only one who misses the big bomber? The city lights are great but wheres the parking Windsor? For the city park this place needs some work, make it more useable.
Beautiful park????, great for seniors ❤
A hidden gem, been living here for few years only to visit this place for the first time. Wonderful crash landing site for the kids and the adults ????
Amazing light show. Many new additions. Very well done!
