nice walking park with a pond at the centre with some great wildlife

Mariano Elisa Tolentino

Right in the heart of White Rock/ South Surrey uptown so it gets a lot of foot traffic no matter what the season is. There's a pair of 'man-made hill', nearest entry point would be Southmere Crescent, when it snowed really hard, is a good spot for snow slides among the kids and adults, alike. Rain or shine, it's great for strolling even for the not-so-fit seniors because of the easy trails and almost flat pathways. There are also benches to sit on to simply enjoy the scene and pass the time.

A tranquil dog-friendly park encircled by Southmere Crescent which includes an adjacent space by 148th St and 16th Ave. Tall shady trees, wide paths, large ponds inhabited by flock of ducks, and scattered benches make this a quiet and restful place to relax.

Summer evenings is the best time to walk there.

Nice little bit of peace and quiet just off 16th Avenue. Two ponds to walk around with benches dotted here and there as a lot of seniors seem to walk here. Beware of walking or sitting on the grass as a large Canada Geese population leave their mark.

WATER WISE GARDENS Located on 16 avenue (North Bluff) near 148 Street (Oxford ) South Surrey. This particular Garden - Park is a very nice place to spend sometime just walking around the ponds. Here you will find plenty of green areas to just relax. There is a walkway, which meanders all around the ponds and green areas and will continue to Southmere Village Park. Upon arrival; first thing: DO NOT FEET THE BIRDS. PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCE. The entire area has plenty of crows, ducks and geese, and all other birds. The park or Garden is very well kept by the city of Surrey. Although, the Garden is located near a busy road. Is indeed very quiet. It has a few benches to sit down and contemplate life while watching the duckies on the pond. You can bring your children, sandwiches, blankets (also, you might want to bring a small tarp to set under your blanket. There are many birds’ droppings here on the grass). And spend part of your day. The children will enjoy the geese and duckies on the pond. They look very cute. The crows are friendly. Should you happened to be in need of a serious thinking to be done…this is your park to come by. Also, you will be “walking which is very beneficial for ones constitution” (Jane Austin). The flora around the ponds is very grown. There are some very toll trees. Overall, I know you will find it nice. Not too many people come to this gardens… seems very safe during the day. Wheelchair accessible. Street parking only. Read the street signs. Don’t’ get a ticket. Have fun!

This park is a nice walk on a summer day and trails are not too far. One trail leads into the neighboring Water Wise Garden, where geese, ducks and turtles live. All parks in the City of Surrey are "open dawn until dusk" and all dogs must be leashed, for many reasons. Thanks for this ...

Beautiful well kept park. Benches to sit. Shade trees, 2 small lakes and lots of wildlife i.e. Geese, ducks, rabbits and small birds. Good fresh air and relatively quiet.

Lovely little oasis in the middle of bustling crowds. Two ponds full of geese and ducks, squirrels and rabbits and if you're lucky on a warm, sunny day, you might see the resident turtle

Very peaceful and quiet. just reminder if you are jogging through their watch out for senior citizens

This is one of the top 3 pokemon go locations in all of white rock, lots of different pokestops, including 2 gyms all in a very short distance from each other. It's also just a nice park in general, very clean, and with a fun local touch with all the stuffed animals placed around the duckponds. There are a lot, like a LOT, of Canadian geese, but they're generally quite docile. Also if you cross the road from the duckponds and just go into the shady area on the other side where the park continues there's always a ton of pokemon that you can pick up, always including at least one gen 1 starter. There's always a good amount of activity on community days too when the weather's nice, which is also fun
