(Translated) It takes about half an hour to an hour for a single trip. Whyte Lake at the end is not big and there is a small pier where you can rest (Original) 單趟大概半小時到一小時的健行路線,終點的Whyte Lake不大,有個小碼頭可以休息

Honestly...it's just okay haha. The lake is small and has advisories not to swim or fish due to "hazards"...I'd rather go somewhere with a real Lake that's clean and you swim safety in.

Istvan Fekete

Fun and short hike up to one of the loveliest outhouses around. Lake is alright too. The orange bellied newt stole the show, swimming lazily about.

Great little hike to enjoy natural surroundings. Swimming not encouraged, but new dock does have swim ladder (in case you "fall in"?)

Always a lovely spot for a woodland wander.

Karen Gerbrecht

Beautiful hike in, but can get crowded on the little dock, so swimming on a hot day isn't always an option.

Greg Taylor

Easy trail that's dog and kid friendly. It's not particularly long or steep, and you can go round trip in 2-3 hours. The parking lot is close to the highway and passes underneath the bridge at the start of the hike. Parking is free but somewhat limited. The payoff is Whyte Lake. There's a small dock that you can swim off of, but not much waterfront access otherwise. You can walk around to the opposite side of the lake and there's some beach access there.

My favourite hike. Not too long up or down, great forest feelings, amazing small lake with nice dock at the top.

Lots of roots and rocks on the trail, and after a hot spell lots of mud around the lake. I'd skip this and go to Cypress Falls instead.

Absolutely beautiful.

Quiet little lake that can be walked to within 30 minutes from trails. Clean, no facility, and local loves to bring their dogs unleashed here. Lake itself is clean and small.

Great hiking

It's a good hike, very pretty.

A good hike with reasonable terrain not to challenging but it gets the heart pumping. Best get there early as the car park is not that big and fills up quickly.

A very pretty, steep hike. You need crampers and proper winter boots in the winter as the steep path can become icy and you just can't climb. It is a short hike to the lake and you can take the Baden Powell trail to go to the other side of the lake too. It's lightly trafficked and very calming. It might not worth it if you're travelling from Vancouver as it can be too short for the 40 minute drive.

The parking is limited on weekends and it's a fairly popular hike. The first 10-15 is all uphill and it gradually eases. Plenty of roots and rocks. Lots of people with dogs on or off leash. Some parts of the trail are narrow. About halfway to Whyte Lake there are a couple river crossings for the dogs to drink from. The lake itself is underwhelming, a small lake surrounding by marsh with a dock that goes out into the water. If you go a slow-moderate pace, the hike may take just over two hours round trip.

Don't really understand the hype of this trail. Lake is really sub standard, it's okay. Nothing special.
