Great modern outdoor park for kids of all ages.
Great park by the water, the playground is amazing, lots of greenspace for picnics.
Beautiful outdoor area. Tons of logs to relax and sit by the beach. Beautiful location to see the sunset. My only complaint is that there’s a park right by where you would sit to see the sunset, so the screaming children can kill the vibe a bit. Although I have never used them I also believe there are BBQing areas. There is also a covered eating area and plenty of benches throughout the park.
Good place for kids to play and have fun. This is the first park whose toy Xylophones were tuned perfectly and you could actually play something on them.
Peaceful and gorgeous spot makes you feel like touching the spirit of the Great Vancouver.
The park is a great place for families to let the kids play, or to picnic.
Great water park for the kids, newly developed, next to the ocean and the beaches with the sea wall. Great outdoor space for bbq's and playing with family.
Love this place
Attended an amazon team BBQ lunch there with my girlfriend. The park is along the beach, we can go all the away to the park royal shopping centre along the coast line. It’s a good place to hang out for a weekend afternoon. Geese and sea birds there are fat. I even saw a golden eagle on the top of a spruce. Enjoyed it. A quiet spot in the city to chill.
Wonderful playground for all ages. Washroom facilities and picnic area as well.
Great park for kids and strolling along the beach
Vancouver is surrounded by water and this place is beautiful to walk around and explore . Away from the water you can find great coffee and food.
Good place for kids and hiking
Amazing views, clean beach, cruise ships coming in and out, washrooms, food trucks and a skatepark. Very close to ambleside.
Attended the Harmony Arts Festival. So much fun. We enjoyed the live music, food and beverage vendors and the artist exhibits displayed true creativity! I was impressed. We grabbed an ice cream from a local trolly cart vendor and grabbed a seat on a log at the beach. It was a well organized event with so much to see and do for people of all ages.
Long beach side to walk with green area around, it is full of gorgeous views
Such a good spot ! A sand pit, spray park, playground for the kids and a view of the beach for their parents ????
Fabulous family fun. Great place for picnics or a walk by the ocean. Great children's play ground.
Great place to visit to either hike, picnic, bbq or just relax and unwind at sunset. Needs more parking spots tho now that earls is openby close by.
very beautiful park! nice views across the stanley park. I love this park♡
Great place to watch the sunset, or stop on a casual evening walk/run. Family friendly. Very clean.
Such an awesome place for a picnic. Lovely view of the inlet. Great for the kids and also has a convenient washroom. What more would you want?
Nice views. Good place for a walk
This place holds special memories for my family as my husband and I did our baby’s gender reveal here! I just went here the other day as well and absolutely love the waterpark for the kids! It’s also connected with the West Van seawall, which is what o came to do this time!!
Nice picnic area
John Lawson playground is my favourite playground to bring my kid. It has water park, sand play area and lots of play structures, not to mention it is just right besides the sea wall. The sunset is amazing.
Beautiful beach playground ????
Great place to take the little ones. Playground, ocean, and bald eagles to boot
Beautiful, clean park right next to Ambleside Beach. Includes BBQ area, water park, and lots of walking paths. Great place to watch cruise ships sail by.
Was out walking in the park and beaches on my lunch break. What beautiful views this place has! Breathtaking and windy kind of day! I will say it was totally worth the time to get to know this area. Perfect spots to enjoy with everyone!
Great park bring the whole family. Beautiful views.
Love this park, the kids park is amazing specially during summer time.
Picnic areas, beach access, two large playgrounds with a train theme, sand box, water sprays in the summer.
Best place in the world for a family picnic sit back relax enjoy the sun enjoy the beach and watch the ships go by
Located between Ambleside Park and Dundarave Park, John Lawson is a great, little park for kids. It has a variety of log climbing and wooden play structures, mini water park, and a little wooden train. Lots of benches and picnic areas. Gets busy during the summer. Parking is somewhat limited. This is also a terrific location to view cruise ships as they come under Lions Gate bridge.
We went to this park for a sushi picnic and to enjoy the view! We sat on a log to see the view of the sea which was calming with the waves. The highlight was the sunset which was beautiful because of the clouds became pink!
One of my favorite places in Vancouver. Stunning views and pet friendly. Highly recommended.
Nice but even leashed dogs are not permitted.
Beautiful place to walk and see birds, seals, otters and weasels, plus lovely ocean view.
Good varierty of playground games for children of all ages and lots of space for family activities.
Wonderful seawall with fantastic views. Great for jogging , a Sunday stroll or just sitting
Great park but you need to keep your eye on your kids. There was the worst accident I have ever witnessed at a park. Child ran head on into a climbing bar and it was mouth level for this child and took out all his front teeth. These things happen in an instant, so keep a close eye!!
Beautiful perfect for kids
2 separate areas, one for older kids, one more appropriate for tots. Plenty of sand for the littles to be creative and explore with their imagination. Gorgeous views all around!
Too bad there's only certain parts of the park to walk your dog...
Amazing little park that has enough to keep you and the little one's occupied with play, or discovering. Parking is adequate with 3 hours to walk, explore or just be. A fantastic view with the sun in its fullness as you watch it setting on a most divine sunny day in Vancouver. Trails are a bit tight, as the volume of locals or from others parts we're out in droves yesterday, but was delightful. Will be on our must go to parks list.
Great place to meet friends. Covered tables with ocean view!
Best place for relaxing and meditation
Beautiful park and playground with splash pad. Great for families and lots to do.
Enjoying sun in happy hours
It's a wonderful place to sit on a beautiful day beautiful view
Such a beautiful park. Has a very nice water park for the kids, a pier to watch the boaters and look out to see Stanley Park and Lions Gate Bridge. This park also has some nice picnic benches and a near by public washroom. Really nice place to walk along the sea side
Great place for the kids. The recently upgraded play ground is the Taj Mahal of playgrounds. Plenty of washroom space, and lots of BBQ stations for the pic-nic crowds in the summer. Good parking. And its right next to the one and only Fresh Co in Vancouver that sells great seafood and takeout groceries.
The park offers an interesting variety for kids on its playground, especially in the summer when water works are also available. My daughter enjoys going up the woodsteps and then sliding down the bar. Her second favorite activity is going to Ambleside Pier nearby to watch people catching crabs and at times, if lucky, the otter family that occasionally hunts there.
Great place for families???? lots of different areas that are fun and kid friendly.
Fantastic park, amazing playgrounds for the kids and lots of grass too. Decent facilities, and a surprisingly good amount of parking in the area. The only thing that could make it better is composting/recycling bins and electric barbeques.
The park and beach are all in one. Great for young families. Best park and beach combo anywhere in BC I've been to.
Wonderful place for both children and adults. Nice kid swings and a wonderful view to seek peace from for hours and hours and hours....
Fabulous mini park. Stop and grab a bench and relax
great us of space and great play area for children with plenty of seats to relax and a nice walk along the water
Great views of the ocean, especially on a beautiful day. It's also an excellent running route. Dogs not allowed on paved walk.
Totally unique and artistic playground with a superb water splash area
Good place to chill
Lovely park but could use a lot more picnic tables.
Great park for the kids. It also has a water park a few picnic tables. Nice grassy area and it's right by the beach.
What a nice place to bring children to play and have spectacular views. There are two play structure areas. One which is more spread out for the little kids and a larger structure for bigger kids. There's the shoreline where you can sit on logs and hunt for sea shells. There's a public washroom and ample parking in the area. There's also a nice long path to walk along the seawall.
Great place for families to enjoy the rugged beach and views
Great family-friendly park complete with beach, playground, bathrooms, and paved seawall. Active rail line so keep your kids near when you hear the train thundering towards you.
Beautiful sunny seawall walk from John Lawson to Dunderave on Jan 1st, 2020
Beautiful, relaxing, phenomenal. We Usually visit every few weeks .
Nice view. Great park for walks. A bit busy but it's ok
Beautiful views. Great area to go for a stroll along the water.
Great views, playround, walking paths, covered shelter and washrooms.
Great facilities but unfriendly parents who don't do much to socialize there children well.
Lovely park right by English Bay. Tranquil and very scenic
Lovely park that keeps getting nicer with the waterfront features and development. Good playground to bring kids or a park to have a BBQ at if you can get a spot in the gazebo. No BBQs though because of the fire warning! There's a phenomenal and large playground for kids which is Pirate themed!
Always a pleasure to drop by when I'm in town. It's fun to see the area developing. I wish it were a bit more dog friendly.
Great places to picnic
Look for eagles on top of this tree. They're around most of the times.
Perfect place for get away. Plenty of area for kids, lots of options for food and beautiful nature.
Great water park for kids in summer. There's the beach, the natural play structures for different ages, good picnic area, great for family!
Great place for young kids. Fun park
Sunset view is spectacular... There is children's playground and perfect place to have a long walk until Dundarave area
Kids playground great for picnics walking trails covered bbq areas washrooms
Love this park, great for kids and relaxing for adults...
Good place for kids.
Beach, ocean, sand and water park. What.else could you ask for? Right, awesome espresso a few blocks away
Awesome park such a cool playground for the kids
Super playground by the beach. Great for younger kids especially. Gorgeous settings. And, usefully, the restrooms are right near by.
This where i go to launch my kayak.great place to have a picnick.
Well maintained park. Great for kids, good area for them to play. Excellent view of the sunset.
Great place to spend time with kids. Well maintained kids water park/fountains area and park.
Great park and playground for young kids and families. Covered picnic tables and level grass to play on.
Based on my personal experience that is my opinion: Range 0 - 10 Service or Product: N/A Customer service: N/A Environment: 7 Cleaning: 6 Washroom: 4 Cost: 8 Accept Bitcoins: N/A #RCrecommendsthis It is a very nice place to go with friends. Washrooms are terrible though..
Perfect park for kid and wasy for parent to spot them.
Wonderful view
It was my first time being at this park and boy did we enjoy ourselves. The people are great and the view is gorgeous. This park is well kept and clean. Very green!
Amazing park right on the water with activities for every age group
A great little playground for little children. Parents can sit nearby on comfy benches and watch the ships go by as they float in and out of Vancouver.
Stunning location with a great park for the kids.
Its a busy but lovely park on the seawall. Great place for a stroll anytime. Views are spectacular.
Absolutely love coming here as a family. There's so much to do, whether you want to go for a walk, have a picnic in the grassy area, or just relax on the beach. It's also probably one of the best park for kids in Metro Vancouver. The playground is fantastic, with a nice water area as well as several "themed" sections for different ages. The views are absolutely spectacular. Bonus, tons of free parking in the area and there's also some great local shopping around Marine drive.
Clean and spacious park although there are some homeless people setting up camp by the washrooms. They seem to be minding their own business. Great view of the lions gate and I find it less crowded than ambleside.
Nice in-house wine and delicious food
Beautiful beach view and a playground for kids
AWESOME place for kids to go! Great park with benches for a summer birthday for a kid, they usually have some water features going during the summer time. New and updated playground and areas for parents to sit and watch. Free parking and a beautiful view of Stanley Park.
beautiful place, nice spot to unwind after supper
Perfect park with kids, sand, water playground and ocean
It's nice to brings kids, there's kids water park and little playground area.
Love this for toddlers! Beach, playground and splash pad.
Great place for a walk along the seawall, newly renovated play area for kids, enjoy the sea as you walk the seawall
Awesome park to enjoy with the family and ideally for kids
Kids really loves it, clean, versatile in activities but busy
Love this place for a Sunday BBQ in the beautiful sun. Close to the water and great family oriented space.
Great place for kids to play. Good for all ages. Especially loved the driftwood play houses. Fantastic ocean background as well.
Very nice place! Amazing hike! Front of Stanley Park and you see Vancouver Downtown. Decent place playground for kids! Very clean and neat beach! Highly recommended!
Fantastic view of pacific ocean, a great place for families to enjoy their gathering, perfect for kids with the nice play ground and lots of grass to run around.
Seeing Sunsets here is a Divine experience....
Gorgeous views overlooking the ocean. Quiet, clean.
Great views and good playground for kids
Beautiful park right by the ocean with a few great playgrounds for kids. Also a nice splash pad for hot days.
This is a beautiful park. There's free taiji on Saturday and Sunday at 10am. Totally worth checking out!
Beautiful park on the beach. Lovely views. Nice playground and splash pad for the kids. Parking can be hard to find, and no dogs allowed, so leave the dogs at home.
Pretty good place: wonderful for having fun with children! Good age: from 2 to 12 years old. There are water games, sand area, and climbing games: have fun! Here there are pic nic areas, you can also take a nice walk. Bad point is restroom: it was dirty, and it was not so easy to be used with children.
This a great spot to spend a sunny afternoon. Lots of grass to enjoy (some shade, some sun), and a beautiful view out to the ocean. If you have kids: there is 3 clusters of jungle gyms for 3 different age groups, that are near enough together for the children to be entertained while all being within easy eyesight. There is also a small spray-pad for them to cool off in, and bathrooms nearby.
So, they have a path for the salmon to go upriver, is the perfect match for city + nature coexistence, a small entrance for a great fish to fulfil the basic instinct. I like this country so much.
My kid loves here . The play tools are mostly wooden and creative..
Beautiful park by the beach with nearby playground for the little ones restaurants and amenities nearby. Can get crowded especially weekends in the summer near festival time. ...come early to enjoy a quiet stroll (on you way out before 10am)
Lovely little park by the sea.
Very beautiful place. Good for kids playing around. The only downside is that there is not enough table in the park.
John Lawson Park is a great place to go and visit in West Vancouver. There is plenty of stuff to do for younger kids including playing in a water park (so bring your bathing suit!) The views are spectacular and there are plenty of amenities nearby. Parking is a bit of an issue as space is at a premium. It's usually quite busy, so come early and get a good spot.
Nice park. Time was fun minus the beer drinking pot smokers. No one patrolling.
Beautiful sunset today! You have to love West Vancouver and walking through John Lawson Park.. I do.
Great pavilions, and a wonderful playground for the kids to play on. You really can't beat the view of the ocean either.
Exciting place for kids. Really well done.
Amazing scenery and sunset. Calm lovely walk. Calm relaxed people.
Huge space. Beautiful beach. Great place to have a picnic.
Very nice park with Beautiful scenery. Would benefit with more proactive management of the waste that can accumulate at trash cans during peak hours.
Excellent place to take a picnic lunch or dinner. You can walk, run along the Seawall and walk your dog in most areas of the Seawall. Where your not able to there is an upper trail for your dog. Views are beautiful of Stanley Park and Lions Gate Bridge. Great place to meditate or do Yoga. Very quiet.
Perfect for kids to play. Awesome scenery.
Not a good park in any way at all. I really don't recommend this park at all.
Beautiful beach front park with playground and water park for kids. Very family friendly and lots of shaded trees and tables for small to medium group settings.
Beautiful playground an Water Park right at the Beach, Great for kids to play around and parents to enjoy the ocean
Beautiful park and views. Great playground for the kids with lots of shops and restaurants closely located
Fun place! Lots to do for the kids
Pretty epic playground, great view. Super busy.
Beautiful park and amenities such as kid's play ground is one of the advantages to spend a day on seashore
Amazing views of Lions Gate bridge and Stanley park. Great places to sit and enjoy the ocean
lovely beautiful view with a good playground for kids a very beautiful seawall amazing for walk for all seasons
Love this place!
Great park for picnics and family gatherings, complete with playground and water park for the kids.
Great little play area and water splash pad during the summers!
I love walking along the Seawalk starting from here, but am unimpressed by how dog-unfriendly it is.
It's a great place to let your dogs out running play and jump in the water.
Really nice place to walk
This has to be one of my favorite parks to go to with the kids. It is quintessentially Vancouver (or West Vancouver), tying together the spectacular natural environs with thoughtfully made play areas for children. It has playgrounds - one for older children and one for the younger ones. It also has a splash pad with lots of fun water features nestled between the two play areas. The younger children's playground is on sand which is also a lot of fun for the kids. Typically, this play area slowly accumulates a number of communal shovels, pails and other sand toys over the course of a summer season. So don't fret if you've forgotten to bring little Johnny's favorite sand utensil! The beach offers additional enjoyment for all. Although a little rocky and the water quite brisk, it's still very nice to head down to the ocean to examine sea and beach critters hiding under rocks, and to watch passing cruise ships and float planes. There are a number of picnic tables scattered in the surrounding green spaces - make sure you get there early to stake your claim to a table and a convenient spot. Try to find a spot with views of the play areas if you're supervising little ones. After you've had a great picnic meal, there's nothing like a pleasant constitutional to help digest. The sea wall path leads to Ambleside Beach (east) and Dundarave pier (west). A pleasant stroll along the water with more fantastic views and friendly folk. There is a bike path as well. Parking can be challenging, but there is a lot and street parking. Despite the 2 hour time limit, every time that I've been there I haven't had to worry about parking enforcement* (*this is NOT a guarantee that you will not be ticketed if you exceed the allowable time! Use caution).
Beautiful park on the water. Nice children’s playground with water features.
Beautiful park and great shelters
We are so blessed to have such access to the waterfront and seawall
Nice views and a small community garden to stroll through.
Awesome for kids, lots of mums & kids, great play area and great space.
There has beautiful scenery. Good to play with family.
Always a clean, scenic place to be. The view never gets old. Not noisy or crowded.
Beautiful ocean view, perfect for walk or jogging, , for watching sunsets.
Nice place for long walk or running along the water and you can also capture a beautiful sunset ???? it has playing ground too so you can bring your kids and if you pet they have specific place for them to walk along with you without disturbing others and few quite good restaurants around for a light bite or drink
Great service, friendly staff, food was good as always. Clean and prompt too! I had the chicken quesadilla for lunch. My only complaint is that the jalapeño ranch and the salsa it was served with was not spicy at all, But then again I'm used to spice that punishes me with every bite so maybe I'm not a good judge on this. I'd definitely go to this location again
Busy but good for children
First time here and was impressed with the amount of activities for children. Very quiet with fantastic views
Great place for families. Great view of the bridge.
Nice park with playground and water park.
Very scenic park but often has lots of children running around. A lot of the bikers that ride through there don't really slow down so be mindful of that.
I liked it. Overall a nice place, nice view
Beautiful views
Beautiful scenery, lively and full of nature.
Loved what the community has done to remember one of their greatest forebearers. Very nice.
Lovely park, nice views across Stanley Park and UBC, a good Playground and water park fire the kids, a pier to wander, all attached to the popular Sea Wall walk. The beach is typical rocky West Van beach though.
We love it there Always fun for my daughter and me amazing ocean views
????☠️ ????
John Lawson park is awesome! Water park for kids is always a big hit especially when it is hot. Great events all summer long. Most notably the Harmony Arts Festival annually. Great place to meet and watch the sunset whilst enjoying the fresh sea air and a view that few in the world has to enjoy.
It’s a sweet oceanfront park. The playground is popular and there’s a cute little art gallery nearby. Lovely views and a rocky beach.
Best view, great playground, clean bathrooms, centrally located.
Plenty to keep the kids happy for a couple of hours. Don't forget a swimsuit in the summer so they can play in the water features!
Great spot with unbelievable view. Adequate parking.
Walked for hours on the seawall on a sunny cool crisp winter day! Had the place literally to myself. The 3.5 hour amble...the ever changing landscape...from glass towers to mountains high...from towering bridges near and far...and the glass of an ocean made this stroll pure magic!
Great area for parents and kids! Water park, play area. Sand area. Benches and tables. Grassy area to lounge and seconds from the water!
Nice little litte chip and putt. Watch out for the West Van police..
Amazing place. Beautiful views and clean
This park is part of the extensive waterfront parks and walks in West Vancouver. Well maintained, plentiful bathrooms for users and excellent play facilities for children.
It was neat. There are a lot of amenities for families and people to enjoy!
It is the best kids park with splash park grass sand toys... Great view. Just parking can be a issue.
A beautiful park with a whimsical "seafarers" playground that the kids absolutely love.
Awesome oceanside playground for the kids. Our daughter loved it plus you can check out the beach as well.
My favorite park to take my family. Such amazing views.
Nice views and a great walking neighborhood nearby with shopping and restaurants.
Unfortunately there is nowhere in the area to picnic if you have kids and a dog.
A great outdoor space for the whole family to enjoy picnics, the playground, long walks and biking and blading. There are even bathrooms.
Awesome kids playground and close to the beach. Handy washroom facility.
The playground in the park is deservedly award winning. There's something more fun avout wooden playgrounds - they evoke a more adventurous environment, even if they are otherwise the same as the usual plastic fare. In this instance, however, the theme blends the locations two most obvious features - the beach and the railroad - into a playground that 5 year old me would be jealous of. Hell, middle aged me was jealous as well! Anyway, my two children loved it and I couldn't see any other child there who wasn't taking full advantage of the slides, ladders, ropes and climbing frames.
Kids playground was so good. Nice place to hangout.
Close to my place of residence, very big and peaceful , good place to have fun and some liquor.
Small but very nice park with views on the Ocean
I was at a picnic there. Had lots of fun, great pictures too.
This is a nice small park with scenic views of English Bay.
Fantastic place right by the ocean play in the park or on the beach look for crabs under the Rocks you'll be guaranteed a great time
Great place to hang out enjoying the coast of Vancouver
Great park to bring the kids. Playground has an excellent view of the ocean, a lot of variety of structures to play on. In the summer there’s a water park to cool off, but it’s worth the visit year round. Connects directly to the sea wall path for a longer walk. Washroom facilities are nearby, plenty of places to sit while the kids climb.
Just a beautiful place all around. A bit crowded, but that is to be expected.
We all need to keep our parks clean. Please clean after yourself and before leaving park.
What is there not to like about this place. It's pretty awesome for kids, families or just to hang out. BBQ is allowed and further down drinking alcohol is allowed.
I love that place! Just can't wait to return!
Came here for a friend's birthday party and it was a fun trip we made a bbq and went fishing as well I would definitely come to this park again!
Great for kids. Spray park, beach, climbing stuff---who could ask for more!!
Nice park for kids to enjoy play and spending time
Great place to chill, low key beach and a great park gir kids to play.
Hard to put in words. Feels like what you want a beach to feel like. We caught crabs, enjoyed starfish, sea lions (2) surfaced to our surprise! Beautiful place.
Great views, washrooms clean and a great place for a walk
One of my favorite places to walk along the ocean
2 mile seawall.eagles.seals and great dog run
Beautiful setting near the water with structures good for baby to older kids (8?). No regular swings, but four baby swings. Water play in summer. Real bathrooms on site. Sheltered picnic areas and sea walk access. Great spot to spend an afternoon.
Amazing place to have a relaxed walking with a nice view.
Great place to sit by the water and chill.
It a gorgeous walkway, right beside the water, there are chairs facing the water every short distance, dogs are not allowed on the pathway but there is a small fenced trail for the dogs to walk beside you but on the other side of the fence, the park itself is small with nice landscaping .
Nice amenities and short drive. But also very crowded.
Great place to meet family and have a picnic. Wish less popular as people coming from other than W.V. - too crowded.
Great play equipment, especially for younger kids. The water park (only operational in summer) is excellent. Bring a change of clothes and a towel.
Nice, relaxing boardwalk for walkers only. Very civilized.
Great place for the kids! Full washrooms available and I believe part of it is a water park in the summer time.
One of the best parks in greater Vancouver. It has spaces for picnic, walking, biking, and kids to climb around. It also has a small kids water park during warmer months.
We really loved the park, there's plenty of grass, picnic tables, washrooms, lots of shade, BBQ ash collection, we had a great time.
Beautiful park on the beach with a playing area for kids
Very nice place to sit or walk. Sea, sunshine, grass, flowers, what’s a life!
A nice grassy area park beside the ocean. Popular spot for performances and outdoor events in the summer
Beautiful park
Excellent place to unwind on the seawall
Great park for kids to play. Benches are available for picnic and parties. Great view of the water
In love with this park . Beautiful view and awesome playground .
Gorgeous views, amenities, beaches, walk ways, a pier, picnic area, bathrooms and food are all here!
Great park for kids.. Lots of different playground areas suitable for different ages.. A nice water play area for summer day and lots of open green spaces. It just a victim of its own popularity..so it can get pretty crowded on weekends and parking can be a challenge
Nice bbqing park. Get there early because it gets busy
Great park with lots of parking. Beautiful scenery and one of the best children's play parks anywhere in the city. Well worth the drive!
Beautiful place beside the ocean. For the most part people were observing social distance. Washrooms were fairly clean. Small play area for the kids. Free parking.
Great place for a picnic. And then a stroll along the seawall.
Grew up going to John Lawson. Fantastic beach and grassy areas for BBQing. Great playground for the kids. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean. Fresh Street Market is across the road for groceries and supplies. Banks and gas station within one block. Level railway crossing and connected to the seawall so lots of good walking. Not great for dogs, who must be leashed and can't walk on the seawall...they have to walk along the railway tracks on the other side of a fence!
Lovely spot, right on the ocean...great kids play area
Great park for young kids.
Very clean and friendly place
What a fun section of waterfront! We've been coming to Vancouver for 50 years and just discovered this gem. Very accessible, great views, uncrowded even on a beautiful Easter weekend (don't know about Summer!) Lots of creative touches, incredible playground for the kids.
Awesome little park with a great view
Great place to go with kids with a fantastic waterfront view.
This is a beautiful spot right on the ocean with spectacular views. The once state-of-the-art playground needs some sprucing up though.
Great place for kids as well as adults
This one of my favorite places. There often are events at this location, harmony arts festival. There's a great child's playground here with that rubbery stuff to protect kids. I've never seen the kids get too aggressive. There are benches to sit and enjoy the water. There are bathrooms at this location. Coffee and Savary Island pies are near too. There is the entrance to the seawall and dogs can come too. Dogs on one side of the fence, people on the other.
Great place for kids.
Located at 750 12th Street I West Vancouver. On the north side of Marine Drive, use the left turn bay for Ambleside Park. There is a play area for children. There is limited parking in the park. And a footpath connecting to Ambleside Park which has a lease free section for dogs and includes a portion along the water front. NOTE there is no street parking along Marine Drive
Excellent seaside playground and water park. Limited parking, but that's because of the plentiful shopping and food options nearby.
Kids friendly place! Playground, beach, washroom and water splash park all in one!
Beautiful park
Best of both worlds... Faraway from the the heart the city, yet a beautiful relaxing family beach side to let life pass by. Especially when event are going on, like the Harmony Arts, etc...
A relaxing place to visit if you stay away from the playground, but in the same note great for kids????
Very good playground area and water park for kids. Nice place to come for a picnic with great views.
Nice and beautiful place and u can have an amazing view of Stanley park and lion gate bridge????????
Beautiful park~ Happy kids~ Have fun!
If you live your walls around Vancouver, you've got to go check out the sea wall by John Lawson park, then finish the evening by the waves.
Found this little gem while waiting for an appointment. Great for an afternoon picnic with kids. Little play ground and splash pad.
Great waterpark. Just missing some swings for older kids
Great place for kids of all ages: only downside is parking options
There was a market and music day on weather was great and reasonable selection of stalls if you are looking for things. I just went fr a coffee at Crema which has been doubled in size...
Huge park for kids with an amazing view!
Great kids park, pier, waterfront beach, picnic area with tables and shelter, but very busy in the summer
Small but clean park. Not so crowded
Very clean and well maintained park. Great for small children as well as adults. There is a playground, undercover area, Field, and beach.
It is a nice and also different view point of the sea also at the same time being able to see Vancouver city, the park has washroom and suitable picnic vibe with shops close by.
So pretty. Park is nice, and the view is incredible
Really amazing natural log climbing structure for the kids, And Real Housewives of Vancouver for the adults.
Excellent views. Good facilities for the family
Beautiful beach, decent size play ground and big sand box for toddlers to play in with plenty of space to BBQ.
The waters and the view are amazing, its a beautiful walk
Signs posted with "no dogs on path, grass or beach"......
The park is awesome, with lots to do to entertain the kids, but given the difficulty in finding parking, I can only give it 4/5 stars.
Such an amazing park right on the ocean. Park, spray park, sand area to play and amazing views if you walk along the ocean.
It’s one of my favourite park! You have an access to play ground, sand and beach. The only thing that I would consider is super crowded. Specially now( pandemic covid19)
One of the most scenic beaches I've ever seen!
Great karoake night there last night????
Love this park. Good place for kids and family bbq.

Great park for family picnics .
Great little playground with splash pad and an epic view of Lions Gate Bridge and Stanely Park. Lots to do for all ages at this park and also has rest rooms and water fountains.

Renovated washrooms!!...good views
The park is beautiful and well kept with a great children's playground and covered area. Parking sucks.

Its a nice park for all.ages of kids. I would just like to see the play structure.washed more due to the amount of bird droppings
Awesome park with great views to take the fam and have a day out..
Huge park and nice beach. There is a pathway on the side of the beach. This area is very nice in summer time.
Spectacular view, perfect place for a short walk
Beautiful waterfront park. Good for kids and adults. A very nice area for walking in fresh air Beautiful view on a sunny day. Feels good to be here. You feel uplifted by the sun and water; people smiling and saying "hi". Park your car on Marine Drive and walk down to the park. It's a short walk.
Options for all ages. Enclosed swing seats, slow roller slide, big swing for the under 2 crowd. Large grassy area for running. Sand area for older children. Water park in summer. Walking by the beach and beach exploring for kids too. Bus or walk if you are close enough.
Love the park here. Lots of fun for the kids to play and nice for parents to relax or go for a walk on the beach.
Great place for kids. Im not allowed there as i have a dog but i walk past. Lots of interesting unique play structures. Parking a nightmare in summer.
