Gorgeous sorry little easy walk. And can turn into a long intermediate one!
Omg! Beautiful, great little hike
Best waterfall in Vancouver area accessible by transit
Awesome day hiking spot
Beautiful
Pretty cool but the trail does get kind of confusing. Didn't cross the bridge. Follow the orange markers on the trees.
Great short hike for kids. Keep children away from the edge of the creek and cliffs
A great short hike to calm down and meditate and it's close to city
Beautifl
Great place to go for a hike. Quiet and very nice clear water
Harder hike than you think.
Nice hike
Designated dog off-leash park
Beautiful forest trails. Several waterfall viewpoints along the way - the first being 5-10 hike up the path.
Confusing and difficult to find the falls in the winter time. Almost fell like 4 times but it was fun
Lovely place on either nice or ugly days
Great mid-difficulty level trail end with gorgeous twin falls. Two small free parking lots for not more than 50 cars. I enjoyed this trail with my family (2 kids) for 3 hours return walking.
Amazing scenery. Great place for jogs and dog walk.
Such a bad trail. Unclear and confusing. Boring and not beautiful as the pictures. Kind of a waste of time.
Great trail. On hot days it stays pretty cool due to all the shade. The views were good, and the trails are not difficult. One thing is that there are many possible paths, but only one will get you to the big falls. No markers on the trails. It can be confusing. Overall great time, just confusing for some.
# Serene ???????????? # Fresh air???? ....Lil bit scary while hiking ???? but doesn’t matter if you are adventurous ????✌????
An amazing falls with a good hike. One should go there during the summer with proper food and stuff.
Awesome little park. Just needs more signage.
On a hot day, this park is a great spot to cool off and take a dip. Can be busy at peak times tho.
Beautiful park, easy trail for all skill levels to the waterfall. The waterfall is really breathtaking as well
Easy hike to the falls, lots to explore
Short hike. Nice falls. Great forest views.
Love the place and the trails. Be mindful that it's wild nature
You will
Great place to explore without markers!
Good place for hike
Awesome location for hiking but especially for bouldering. Close to town and very quiet
not enough signage to guide new hikers
Excellent hiking trail!
Super easy hike. Bad trail markers
Not crowded at all, nice place for hiking. BUT must fill you bottle of water before there. They don't provide water fill up or washroom at the entrance. That was only complain. However, I will go back for sure!
Great hike
Easy hike up to the waterfall! Best part of the area is actually hanging out by the creek when it's really hot. It's so refreshing!
Good falls. Not so difficult hike too. Kids loved it.
Follow the markers, wear good shoes.
The trail is rougher than average but it can still be walked easily in good conditions.
Amazing!
Beautiful place with short trail to fall that you can hike with kids and family.
One of the most beautiful hikes around here. Seems like the logging didn't get to it much, huge old growth trees and magical atmosphere. The river is beautiful and the paths are rugged and natural. I love how this trail has maintained a more simple feel without boardwalks and signs everywhere.
One of my favourite hidden gems. Trail is relatively tame, but not meticulously maintained. Beautiful waterfalls, a few places to swim. There are anchors for climbing on a few walls throughout the canyon, looks challenging. (not a climber) water levels fluctuate seasonally and with weather. water is cool on a hot day. not a day worthy adventure, but you could kill a few hours here.
There’s bouldering here!
We enjoyed hiking in the park while it was still under the snow... But we never found the falls ????
nice short hiking trails
Easy Hike for hikers who want to experience old forest Groves without sharing the trail with tourist and other hikers. The hike is about 1 hours round trip and I wish it was longer. The view of the waterfall was breath taking.
Lovely hike !
What a great spot. Many fun places to explore with my dogs.
Walking amongst ancient Fir and Cedar trees to two waterfalls, perfect !!
Be aware! The path is poorly marked and no signage at all! Gradual incline to very steep. Knowing that, it is worth every step. Be sure to see the falls which can be viewed from the old bridge which is downstream from the walkable bridge.
It's a rugged hike for a mediocre view. There are better hikes and better views close to the Vancouver area. As others mentioned, don't cross the bridge!
Piece of real wood so close to the city
While the Falls are nice the trails are poorly marked and there are some dangerous spots that need improvement.
Easy walk in the forest
Awesome thanks for the nature help ???? ????
nice short hike. terrain is a bit rough with tree roots past the half way point of the hike, but nothing too treacherous. When you get 3/4 of the way, you will come to a fence that says the area beyond here is private and they don't maintain the trails, you're going at your own risk. Don't let that put you off, you have to keep going to get to the top of the falls. You can't actually get that close to the falls though, so a bit disappointing in the end. parking is okay. could get busy if they have a baseball game going (there is a baseball diamond at the bottom of the park). luckily nothing happening at 9am in the morning. can't vouch for later in the day.
Easy trails , multiple falls with nice views.
A very nice and easy 3 km hike that takes you to a small waterfall and stream bank. Great to do with kids. There's a portable toilet in the parking lot.
Nice trails but some areas a steep.. Good exercise
Great bouldering spots, especially if you don't want to make the drive out to Squamish
Very beautiful park with pretty little traffic. Definitely recommend for nice days when other parks are packed. We took the trail all the way to the upper falls and continued to the upper bridge, then took the forest service road back to the parking lot.
Peaceful trail with a rewarding waterfall view after some walking. Loved it
Easy hike. Went to the wrong trail but was able to find the cypress fall.
The trail was a bit confusing. We got lost, but we were able to go near a larger water fall in the park where the normal trail would not have taken us. It was a good hike
Nice place less crowded. A beautiful wooded area. A good trail that is lesser known.
Lovely place for a chill a bit of a walk to get there but well worth it
Nice hike nothing to crazy ! ????
Great little hidden gem of a park.
Easy hike along the river with good views to the upper and lower waterfall
Beautiful! The only thing is that the trails are not well deffined and sometimes feel like it is unproductive but if you like to follow your own path, it's great for it!
Nice experience of hiking with my little one. They loved it. Would love to visit again..
Lovely little trail and a must try.
Short walk but the trees are Jurassic like and the falls is neat. Just past the park are some unmarked/bike trails that lead to the trans coastal. Worth a visit. Also a baseball diamond at the main parking lot.
Quite, not crowded ,beautiful place for hiking
Great short hike to the waterfall with an awesome view
Possibly one of the best beginner-level trails on the North Shore! Will not share any picture to spoil the surprise. But follow the left hand side... First time we went to the right hand side and got lost... ha.
Beautiful little waterfall spot.
Superb amazing! Natural experience just in the neighborhood!
Beautiful place to take a walk
Good place for family. Pets friendly ✌️
Best private AC ever!
Really great spot, dog and kid friendly. Not too crowded and there's plenty to explore. Some guides to this park say it's only a short hike, but if you cross over the river to the east side you can keep going for quite a ways, and it's pretty manageable even with small kids. Be warned though once you cross over the BC Hydro Bridge (after a short walk on a service road) and head back into the forest the trail isn't well marked. But as long as you're following the river you will make your way back to the parking lot. Enjoy!
So many waterfalls!! The hike is waterfall after waterfall, which was incredible! Venture off the main path a bit, and you’ll see even more! What a wonderful park.
Great for hiking!! Had an amazing day, be sure to bring swim stuff if it’s hot as there are some great swimming spots
Quiet,easy hike,
I really like walking there it’s wild and clean as if it was far away from humans !:) the water is nicely refreshing and so tasty:)
Easy accessible hike suitable for children
So peaceful there
Beautiful dense old forest, with impressive waterfalls and twisting trails
Great walking trails
Great short hike to the waterfall with an awesome view. You could hike around in here for a while following the other trails.
Make sure to go past the first bridge and get onto a service road where there are these blue mushroom looking metal items on the right side. Pretty easy hike if you're wearing proper shoes and it's mostly covered so the sun doesn't make you too hot.
It is good for a calm n long walk. Theres a walk in the woods and so calm and silent around. The walk to the small falls is hardly a small walk. For the big fallsake sure you come with time in hand and during daylight. The only bad part I'd say is there are no washrooms around. So be careful. There's another entrance if you park you car at the park walk straight ahead on the road the walk is a lot but the view from the spaces of the houses is soo pretty. There is another entrance on the top for the cypress water falls
Not signposted very well for the walk but it was a nice walk.. not tough by any means
Its great place for first time hikers
Fresh air hike with tall trees and melodious water falls. Its relatively an easy hike
Beautiful place to hike. When we went, it wasn't busy which was really nice. There's a lot of random spots we stopped at which were so gorgeous. The hike was easy. I'd even say it was beginners level, 1.5 hr total round trip. We just took our time and had snacks at random spots. If you have time, I would highly suggest to check this place out. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much just doing the 1.5 hr hike. Water was cold but on a hot day, it was refreshing. We took over 2.5 hours chilling in different spots. Side note, great hike When it's really Sunny and hot! The hike was very shaded by the trees so it was tolerable.
2 waterfalls I found here. The first one is small and the second one is a little further up. If you keep going you'll hit a logging road. Take a right and look for the blue mushroom looking metal things. There is a trail there that is only a minute long and takes you on top of the waterfall. It's a bit scary but has a great photo opportunity if your willing to take the chance.
Amazing, a hidden gem, will be back
Beautiful hidden Gem with multiple waterfalls.
This trail is popular with the locals and dog walkers. It's shady through old growth forest and you're rewarded with a great view of the falls. The hike isn't too strenuous so it's great for the whole family.
Came to this place last weekend. Took us around 3 hours to get to the furthest falls and back. Note we took a while exploring the park and icy conditions meant it took us an extra 1 hour. Very unique hike! Plenty of pretty streams, old growth trees, and 2 stunning falls. Definetly a great easy hike near Vancouver! Makes it feel like your far from the city!
Good and great trail.
A small park with a few steep trails following the watercourse. Not much at the top but a road and new neighbourhoods being built. Cool bridge and waterfall about halfway up. Parking and a sports field by the trailhead.
Nice walk through the forest.
Pretty boring as a hike. Short and unremarkable
Absolutely love this trail. Fairly easy, beautiful and wonderfully relaxing.
Beautiful hike in beautiful BC. Easy to moderate hike. Download the map from all trails because its easy to end up following the wrong trail and not see the waterfall which isn't the biggest deal because its all so breathtaking. Also a great hike on rainy days because of the tree coverage!
Easy hike. Nice twin falls. Trains are not too busy.
Beautiful park
Nice short hike, not hard but lots of little offshoot trails you can do. Views are gorgeous along the way. Went first thing on a Sunday and it was very quiet. Not a lot of room for parking
Nice and simple hike.
Trail paths aren't clear and if you are new to the place you might get lost.
A great place to see a couple of waterfalls. The lower falls is a short walk from the parking area. The upper falls is a bit of a hike that takes about 30 minutes. After visiting the lower falls continue hiking up the hill and stay west of the river. Do not cross the wooden bridge. After about 20 minutes there will be a fence with a sign saying it is private property. Continue walking about 10-15 minutes. The upper falls is larger than the lower falls. After seeing the upper falls continue up hill to the road and just before the bridge, there is another trail near blue bollards leading to a twin falls just below the bridge. Then return to road and cross a bridge then return to lower falls via the other side of the river passing through some old growth forest.
An easy enough hike but the trails were not well marked out so easy to get off trail.
I couldn't make the trail but it was awesome place n so beautiful...????
Great place for family and dog! Trail mark is not clear in the middle of the Trail. The fall is OK. The lake is beautiful.
a really nice hike for some amazing views. great place to bring a dog! i recommend this hike for hikers of all experience.
Better complete as a loop..
Short walk to falls nice and cool under trees
Great little hike. No trail markings. It was really quiet the day we were there. A good place to bring a dog. Stick to the west side of the river.
5 stars for the access to such a beautiful area. A heads up - it’s a bit rough in some areas and don’t cross the 1st large bridge if you want a good view of the 2nd falls and the trails are rougher and not well marked on that side. We arrived there at noon on a (cloudy) Sunday and there was still lots of parking. There are no out houses and bring your own water.
A hike that's suitable for all levels. If you're a beginner at hiking, just stop at the waterfall 1.25km into the hike. It will get steeper as you go further. Not super technical terrain, mostly wood and mud. Look for orange markers on trees as a guide.
Beautiful spot. Easily accessible by public transit.
This is a Great Hike and lower falls is amazing, but take the time and go up to Upper falls to round off this Epic Adventure. For a Youtuber we look for Epic adventures and this was something that Vancity Adventure really enjoyed
Beautiful falls, short hike with small incline. Well maintained, marked trail
Great hike, perfect for beginners!
One of my favourite family friendly trails! Hike was not too hard or long and the waterfall was nice! Was delighted to see a lot of old growth trees around this trail. Be sure to use the washroom before you leave as there are no washroom facilities here!
Trails are rather rocky and lots of elevation etc. Really nice park though. Quite challenging if you have mobility issues at all.
Fairy easy to find and convenient parking. Spectacular well marked trail. Appropriate for any age - really beautiful ancient trees, Mountain stream and waterfallls!
would be nice to go in the summer
A fairly easy hike with a beautiful river along side it with a forest surrounding you the whole hike. I was able to cross the river and bush wack back to the path. The main path was well marked and clear.
Wonderful place, with lots of different types of mushrooms troughout the trail.I felt a little creepy, the steeped mountain trails with the sound of the waterfall. But overall it's a nice experience.Kids will love it too.
Impressive
Good place to hike with lot shade during summer. There is a parking hidden from the parking entrance, so drive little up inside to park. The trail is no paved and with lot of rocks and can get steep at few places. Our kids enjoyed the hike but I had to carry my 3 year old little one on my back at some steep paths. The path is marked so look around to find the right path.
It took me about 40 minutes to hike to the top and it was totally worth it! It is an easy to moderate trail and I would recommend it if you want to have refreshing 2-3 hours with nature. But, it is not a place to plan your one-day trip.
Was described to me as an easy hike, which if you are in good condition it likely is. But I have major knee, hip and lower back issues and I found the hike a bit more strenuous on my hip flexors and knees than I had expected. But its wasnt a long hike so that helped. It was very beautiful and not too busy at all. I would go again when my pain is better
Beautiful
Beautiful hidden gem
Amazing power in a small river. Didn't know this was here!
So beautiful but a little bit short.
The bear kinda interrupted the whole experience....
Intermediate hike.
hmm.. the trial has no sign and does get tricky to get to the top waterfall.. we went pass the point where the waterfall is and almost walked up to the eagle lake... there are many different trials and you will never know where they will lead you...
Nice walk, reward you with twin falls view
beautiful place. great night view point
Lovely forest walk! It’s a very special place.
Great walk. Excellent view
It was a nice day
i really rnjpyed the "getting away from it all" feeling tbat you can get here. its like a mini vacation...check this place out.its worth tbe visit.
Very nice little hike around a small water dramatic canyon. For those who don't have much time, still want to feel the nature with woods, river, cliffs, rucked car comes from nowhere
A beautiful, green hike. The trail is not as smooth as some of the regional parks. It's still easy up to the first falls, but not very easy after that.
Great scenery, but easy to get lost. Make sure you have a map and follow the trails carefully. There are dozens of side trails going off in all directions. Cell phone reception is fine on the trails.
Stunning loop, and doggo friendly
Nice park, with stream and falls. Rainforest trails.
Wonderful hike , beautiful old growth forest and a lovely waterfall. Not too difficult.
This place is terrible. Don't come here. There's nothing but forests and a creek that sometimes turns into a magical frozen Wonderland. You might even be haunted by owls in the trees if you're not careful. All kinds of local weirdos show up with their dogs and kids and overrun the massive network of trails that eventually lead to some lame waterfall that isn't even that high. Not to mention that you might fall off the cliff next to the creek if you eat too many of the mushrooms growing out of every surface. Stay away if you know what's good for you.
Beautiful hike!!!!
Awesome park.
Lovely scenic trail for a short off-leash zoom for puppo, but a little too rocky/rooty for my trail-running ability, so I stick to hiking. Read the trail description in your hiking app to make sure you don't get lost; the main trail is well marked.
Great trail that leads you to three incredible falls! Worth the trip!
Nice view
Great dog friendly, off-leash trail with some nice viewpoints of waterfalls.
Very nice hike that is not too long and has a wonderful view of a waterfall
Great short hike!
Beautiful trails and not difficult to walk at all, although muddy at times especially if you go on a day after light rain. The trails aren’t marked clearly so be prepared to simply explore the forest and wander which is just as well because usually you can’t go wrong!
Great place to climb a mountain and see the forest and falls
Gorgeous scenery,!!
Very beautiful trail. The waterfall is real :)
Beautiful hike in bc
Nice hike but it's easy to get lost as the trails aren't clear. Nice view of waterfall and several mini falls.
This is a nice hike and you can see really beautiful waterfalls. Try to go 2 or 3 days after a snowy or rainy day as it will easy to hike and the waterfalls will be to its fullest
Dog friendly trails beautiful area
Nice and easy hike with a beautiful waterfall. Just half a hour away from Vancouver
A beautiful park with rugged trails and Cypress Creek. You can swim and soak in the cool creek or view the waterfall.
Nice
Easy hike for a family. Some uphill and downhill so it is a moderate hike for toddlers. Overall beautiful waterfall hike.
Great trials, good escape close to the city
Just wow, you have to see this!
Parking is busy at peak hours go after 5 pm or before 9 am
Breath taking views of the city awesome hiking
What a lovely and magical place! Experience an easy and short hike to the falls. The only qualm I have is that you can't get right up close to the falls.....but it's still beautiful!
Easy access to the park, lots of trails and couple bouldering spots. Easier hike, so expect more people
Hidden gem must see
A little tricky because most people dont realize the path to the waterfall is a straight line on the left of the river towards the waterfall, if your not looking to extend your hike by 5x (making your trip around 40 to 50 minutes), there is a secondary closer waterfall that is almost as good with a fenced off lookout point. This is a light hike, good for family, friends, or solo. 4 stars, this isn't a difficult hike so you can go wrong trying it out!
Not a difficult hike but you need good shoes, the terrain can be uneven and also slippery
Gotta hike off trail for double waterfalls
This one of my favourite walks. Both waterfalls are a sight to see.
Beautiful drive and wonderful views enroute
Great for dog walking
Was much harder than the "easy" rating led me to believe. Very beautiful though.
We went there in February. Snow was not the biggest problem but the marks. Not very well marked, we could finish the loop but turned back same way at some point. Will try again soon after the snow is all gone.
Ended up taking a 'detour'(into the bushes and off the main trail). This 45min hike ended up taking 3h. The falls are amazing and there's good spots to take a quick dip!
Hidden gem, some huge old trees and nice waterfall
Great experience!
Nice place for a short, easy hike. The waterfall is a bit trickier to get to, but it's fairly cool to see.
While hiking at Cypress Falls we saw the Sasquatch tree!!! He almost ate our dog....jk but it was a great trail in good condition, not very crowded on a Sunday afternoon
Wow so beautiful. Just what you need to lower your stress level.
Bus 253 takes you from Park Royal mall through a winding bus ride through some of Canada’s priciest real estate to the park entrance. Uphill Hike through North Shore rain forest in a stream valley. Could be slippy if wet, signage / way finding is poor, nonexistent. Ask fellow hikers for direction.Intermediate level hike, not for beginners , rock and root outcrops, climbs and descents required. Try Lynn Valley for a gentler hike if desired.
Good falls
Great, easy hike for the family , falls were beautiful but smaller due to heat and lack of water. Will have to try again in fall or spring.
Great place to take visitors, family and kids. Pet friendly as well and kept clean and we'll maintained!
Wonderful get away not too far away
This is a hidden gem. There are 3 and sometimes 4 falls along the trail, the uppermost falls are the hardest to get to due to lack of signage but so worth it. It's not a highly public trail and it is user beware. There are a lot of cliffs with no fencing and those unfamiliar with the area would be advised to stay well back from the trail edges that run close to the cliffs as roots and soil can sometimes appear to be solid when not. There are many trail systems to explore in the area that run off of this one so can provide as short or long a walk as you want.
absolutely gorgeous, nice a short for a late day walk/ easy hike
Absolutely beautiful short hike with varied terrain. The falls are spectacular. Enjoy this right in our backyard
Current parking lot is small, unable to get one after 10am today. I was lost after no tree markers located. Noted several new post installed in some trail but waiting for proper signage to be put up I guess.
This is great place to go and see nature ..must see attraction for families
This place is amazing, there are many trails. We got lost and had to do some intense trail walking to get back on track. Over all favourite hike of the year.
Not enough sign for guide
Very easy and short main trail, a little bit moderate and longer on the other side. There's a bonus lower fall, lots of giant trees along the trail. However, fall is dangerous to go near since it is vertically deep on both sides.
Leisurely hike in a beautiful forest
Quiet with the amazing Forest landscape, but pay extra attention to the trail sign or you might end up lost in the forest.
Lovely waterfall. Short 45min round trip leisurely hike!
Some elevation but relatively easy hike. Leisurely would take 2 hrs total. Good to bring dogs leashed for the first time. Parking can flow into streets on busier days, but walk is short to entrance
Beautiful falls and short hike.
Needs more signage.
Pretty. Don’t cross the first bridge. Stay on the left side of the water till the second little bridge. You’ll eventually reach a fence with a liability notice, walk a little farther and you’ll get to the big fall
Great easy hike up to the waterfall. Will definitely visit again, since we ran out of time to complete it.
Such a great family hike.
Great little walk. If you want the best view of the falls, take a right at a side trail about 2 mins into the walk. It’s in the picture I posted and is marked by orange ribbons. Do be careful though as a slip would get ya. Also, if you are there for water, don’t cross the bridge and take that path. Leads back to the highway and nothing else. Take the path to the left at the top of the falls. That one continues up river.
We enjoyed the place but more happy if we can go close to the falls ????????????
Great trail for a light hike. Bonus is the dog friendliness.
Nice little hike. Great for a couple hours. Easy with minor ups and downs. Mainly flat. Google maps instructions is not correct, recommend to google the park and not the hike.
Really great hike but it is by no means “easy”. Lots of incline. Better view of the bigger water fall if you stick to the left (don’t cross the bridge!). There are orange markers. Moderate hike for sure.
Easy to walk
Beautiful hike, sheltered by tree canopy, very lush in winter, amazing trail beside falls
Short trail. No trailhead markers or directions. Following the marked trees, I only found one of the supposed four waterfalls. As the trail becomes more rugged after that waterfall, there is more climbing, but the path leads to a construction fence that warns the park is private property and hikers use the trails at their own risk. However, the gravel road on the other side of the fence gives no indication as to whether it's part of the route or not. It appears the trail abruptly ends at a road.
Magical places. Still a very original forest trail where you can play around with mother nature. Loving it.
This trail has signs stating intermediate but it's not bad, just a few stretches of elevation change. Two medium sized waterfalls along the trail. The view of the upper falls is nicer than the lower falls, but watch your step at the higher falls as you can get right to the edge. Many paths through the forest and it's fairly easy to lose the path, but keep looking for the brightly coloured tags on the trees. About an hour and a half round trip at a fairly leisurely pace.
Great short walk, they really need to put up some signage though
This park is like a gem near the highway. Once you step into the park, all the highway noises disappear, and you will immerse yourself into intoxicating green. You also hear the cheerful sounds of waterfalls and streams. I love this park very much!
good hike
Excellent hike on a sunny day. The trail is very natural, in the forest and shady. There are some inclined slopes but on the whole an easy hike. There's some pool created by the falls which you can enjoy.
Shortly walk and nice cool place for summer
A short and easy hike.
A quiet park with a trail leading up to Cypress Falls and beyond. Great hiking spot, and there is normally few other people around!
