Welland in the Summer for recreation is.a hidden gem. Also a great nearby alternative to driving to crowded beach, instead for a relaxing family swim in the Canal. It can't be beat!

Firstly thanks to @Welland City for the parking lot close to the dock. It is like a blessing for divers. We used to walk with all our gears from the main entrance! Good diving site for beginners and intermediate divers. Quite a few underwater gems like the wreck, cars. They also have guide lines. However, it's ontario, so don't expect very good viz. Bring SMB it is a requirement to dive here but also i see some traffic on water so it will be good for own safety as well.

This is a beautiful park and scuba friendly. The visibility is always an issue when diving in Ontario and I can not fault the location for that. There are lines down and entry is easiest off the dock or from the yellow twin lounge chairs. I would avoid the boat launch area as it is slippery. There are cars, a submarine, boats, and other treasures to find. Near the bridge there is a lot of garbage, which I hate to see. Although, some of the old bikes and shopping carts are now home to many zebra muscles. Keep our waters clean.
