Beautiful park. Park is free.
We are lucky to have such a great public park (and dog friendly) in the middle of the city!
I love riding thru this park rain or shine there is always a tree to hide in ????
Love the off leash dog area and the wonderful park with a kids beach area.
Enjoying the Sun and watching the young goslings near the Lake.
Nice park for its urban setting, Trout Lake is quite large and that makes it special. There's a community center, a good playground and some sports fields, even a mini beach, where you could swim...
While I was visiting Trout Lake several days ago, the weather was hazing with no sunshine. The Lake was palcid, no one swimming there. It is a public park comprised with a community center and a rink A few people were jogging, strolling and unleashing their dogs in the park. The Lake was placid. It is located in the urban centre without any mountain backdrop, I should say it is a big pond rather than a lake.
The community centre here is great, gym, ice rink, dance and art classes. The park is great for a stroll, it's 1.2 km around the lake. There is a beach on the lake a picnic area and a playground. The off leash area for dogs is great but can get very busy with a lot of dogs that aren't very well controlled by their owners. Also some baseball diamonds and lots of grassy areas for playing catch or frisbee.
It's a fun park for kids with water park looking over the ocean and fun structures for kids to climb on top. It's a good place to picnic with kids too
A nice lake in the city. Has parking and a community center. Farmers market in the summer.
It's a great park but disappointing that the water is now contaminated and unswimmable ... But it's a great place to gather for a game of vball or bball!
Just love those geese... And view.
Great park with a lake in the middle of the city
Farmers market! Tree colour! Lake!
Used to live a block away. Just dropped by to eat my lunch and read a couple of chapters from a book. It was as I always remembered, peaceful and healing.
Nice little spot to just walk or have a lunch with a lake
Awesome park deep into Vancouver. Lots of community events happening here. It makes Vancouver feel not so heartless.
John Hendry Park is a great park to go for a walk, have a picnic, there's even a small lake nearby. Lots of green space to accommodate many groups and peoples. Parking is difficult to find around the area, mostly because there are parking restrictions, and residence. Large groups can be here, but if groups are over 100 people, you need a permit to reserve a space at the park, or you risk losing your space if someone else has reserved the same area that you have. Just a heads up! Go to the Park Board to reserve your space if you have large gatherings for picnics, etc.
Large off leash grass and beach area for dogs. Cute little lake to walk around.
Grew up in the area playing little league baseball here n just hanging out as a child
This is a perfect park for running, though during rains you could be full of slime. The landscape from the mountains are really awesome and you can enjoy peaceful moments here.
Good little park for the kids and the kids love it. Just that it dose get busy there so have lots of patience ????
Always love this place fun for kids beautiful scenery especially in the fall the foliage is absolutely stunning. Summer has ample amounts of shade! It's just a really great place lots of space so you can socially distance properly.
This park has a great community center and neighbourhood. Its a great place to go for a walk or a picnic. It gets real busy though.
Great park for everything. Community centre ice rink preschool cafe. Kids love the playground here. Lake freezes over most winters for the city to turn it into an outdoor rink. Highlight of the winter activities. Dog park area is great
Beautiful lake nice off leash area for dogs
I highly recommend that people to visit this park especially on fall season for the view.
Beautiful place. I have never been until today. Not too crowded. Will surely visit again.
True retreat peace of mind. Especially good meditation ????♀️ practice. I suggest people must pay a visit here. A visit is a must here.
Good for a walk
It's a nice park and it hosts a lovely farmer's market on Saturdays.
Nice walk. Evenings are busy too. Fire spinners at night ????
One of my favorite places in the whole city. Food, drink and bathroom facilities at the south east side of the lake by the beach.
This an absolute gem in East Van. Great for picnics and evening walks, dog walks, jogging, playground for kids, small beach area, parking and a public washroom.
Great place for a picnic!! Lots of space to practice distancing. Just don't swim in the water since it's usually full of goose poop.
Great place for a run! The loop has a good surface and it's about 1.25 kms long.
Very artistic community, lots of fun activities going around this lake!
Washrooms are very outdated. Old fashioned urinals that waste plenty of water.
Multiple schools doing cross country. Been there before. Nice size, and great for the family. Especially during spring and summer.
The Canadian version of an oasis. Sprawling lawns and sports fields are interspersed by lush trees with many a picnic blanket spread underneath, while weeping willows hanging over the lakeside path all around add a touch of fairy dust. The lake itself has a small beach/swimming area with platform and lifeguard station which has a stunning view of the mountains, as well as several little inlet paths through the reeds and brush surrounding it leading to vantage points and picturesque benches. Highly recommend visiting this green gem if you're in the area.
Beautiful big urban park. Lots of walking and running trails. Dog areas. Nice lake. Lake water is a bit sketchy - I wouldn't vouch for it for swimming.
Overall nice park. Often crowded but it's a great way to enjoy the outdoors. Lots of parking nearby.
Great park to hang out in. Dog off leash area as well
It's trout lake! Bike around, bring your dog, or set up some tunes. Always a good time.
Nice place to take a walk.
Beautiful park. Lake swimming. Large off-leash dog area with water access. Beautiful new community centre with ice rink. Fabulous preschool. Pottery and art rooms. Community concerts. Many fields. Two children's play grounds. Bbq area. Cafe in community centre and snack shack by the beach. This is an awesome park!
Tranquil. A great place for a picnic and walk.
Trout Lake is a very re-energizing park to walk or run or cycle through, with the considerably large area it covers even though many visit here it isn't overly crowded most of the times which is nice. With it's community center as well and playground amenities, it is always bustling with events which can be quite enjoyable to watch.
Nice autumn view.
Great park. I live two blocks away and I always come here to run, bike or lay on the beach.
Cute! Such a nice community park. Love running there
Man made swimming lake, rec centre with an ice rink, and decent sized playground. Real slice of East Van.
Great urban park. Unfortunately, Its infrastructure is badly dilapidated and the city is an ineffectual money pit.
Beautiful park that has great running or biking trails, playgrounds, and a seasonal summer farmers market.
Grew up here - trained for soccer, have skated in the winter and visited the farmers market!
Nice place for relaxing
Nice place for a nice walk, dog friendly if you got friends who are doggs.
Dog friendly park but nothing extraordinary. Maybe it's a bit more beautiful in the Fall season!?
Very pretty, though I don't like how many dogs are down on the beach area.
It's super nice but kind of had a smell when I left the water. Lots of seaweed too.
Nice park for a picnic or taking your dog for swimming in the water. There is a dog beach. Not big enough for jogging, you can go around several times.
A nice park in the heat of the city, it always have some surprises like festivals or shows
Nice walk around a lake. Lots of geese. Lots of people. An oasis in the city
Great trail to jog around the park. Playground for the kids, and a dog park for the pet in the family. I come here in the autumn to see the maple trees change colours
Perfect park for a family BBQ or just evening walk! Pets friendly park.
Always a great time at the off leash area, beautiful scenery and lots of dogs
DO NOT GO SWIMMING. Dogs are permitted with off leash areas. Facilities are quite typical for a public park, ie. Do not plan to spend a long time in the washroom.
A circular track. You can swim here in the summer. Community center nearby. BBQ possible. Baseball. Great place.
Great place for a walk and picnic. Lots of shaded area
Nice park. It's massive. I like that there is a lake just in the middle of it
AWESOME....sun ????shade???? rolling fields &trees trails sunkissed lake....just peaceful & beautiful ????❣
I learned how to swim at Trout Lake. Have played ice hockey there as well when the ice was thick enough. It's still a great neighborhood picnic destination for many.
Great farmers market
Will be back soon marget <3
Nice and quiet park with lots of shade. There are also two play areas with swings and slides. One of them also has a little food shop near them
Great for off leash dog park! Summer has lake swimming and a concession stand.
It is a very nice park to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and the mountains.
Great park. Although it's a bit muddy for a good part of the year. Off leash dog park is great. However wouldn't recommend letting your dog go on the lake in the second half of summer, the water gets pretty nasty. My dog has gotten sick multiple times from it.
Small but a beautiful Place to do sports and chill.
Beautiful park with lots of different areas. Dogs and offleaah areas. Not a swimming lake but beautiful nonetheless, and has public bathrooms.
Its a very good park with lake . Community center is very nice . Doesn't have swimming pool .
One of my fav inner city parks... small lake, off leash area for doggies. Nice walking and cycling paths... great for family activities
NICE PARK WITH A BEAUTIFUL TINY LAKE
Love this park. Plenty of space for everyone even when the lake was so covered of ice.
Love this park! There’s a nice little lake to relax by on one side, the other has a clean dog park.
Trout lake looks nice but it is probably not the best place (bacterial wise) to go for a swim!
Great park on the east side. Wonderful off leash area for dogs. Great place to walk or jog. Good places for families, singles and couples. Lots of fields for baseball and softball. Close to Trout Lake Community center.
Nice place to relax, take a walk, or have a picnic. Baseball field, washrooms.lake, and dog friendly...
Very nice little park!
I enjoyed coming to this park. Walked from 29th Ave Station. Nanaimo is much closer, but we wanted to get in a good walk. Great looking neighbourhood around the park. Can't really comment on parking because we walked. Nice little playground and Sandy Beach, with washrooms near. Looks like a seasonal concession stand is in the same structure as the washrooms. Also looks like during the summer there's a lifeguard. There's a little dock in the water. Never actually went much further than this south side of the park. We plan on exploring more next time we go.
Decent park with running trails! There is a lake that could be enjoyed for swimming, and an area designated for dogs!
Nice place lots of dog walkers lol
Peaceful and serene. A clean and picturesque location for a walk. A nice morning with my daughter.
Great park for everyone especially flow artists!! Food, washrooms and even an undercover area!
The best park in e van...2 playgrounds, a beach and huge dog beach.
Basketball court was great. Free community private showers open from 9am. Gym showers with a pass open at 6am. Parking stalls are very small to park an RV or decent sized truck without obstructing people next to you; however there's lane parking on the side and it's shaded under the trees there also. No overnight parking.
Huge park surround the Trout Lake. Dog friendly park with running, cycling and walking paths along the perimeter of the lake. This place also hosts amazing farmers market in some seasons.
Park can be very hard to find parking at if the centre parking lot is full. Limited picnic table seating space.
Perfect place to bring your family and have a picnic. I love seeing the dogs playing by the lake. The playground has a great structure, the kids love playing there, and there is also a public washroom nearby the mini beach.
Lovely sanctuary for residents in East Vancouver. Beautiful trees, background mountain view, amateur musicians get together for their rehearsal...there was a baby shower and a birthday party. True sense of community there..
This is one of my favorite Lake parks in all of Greater Van. Very serene and open. Even when there’s quite a few people, it’s always felt roomy. Lots of dogs off leash, which I personally love.
One of the most beautiful parks in Vancouver. Great to run through, walk through or have a picnic.
Nice spot for a picnic, not too busy and nice area to walk around
A small park with lots of dogs and also you see events or marketplaces starts to open during summer. This place brings the community together
Surpringly there are many little wild life areas in the park.. But you got to look closely..
Nice park. Easy access
The park is quite huge and very beautiful. One can spend hours just sitting infront of Lake Trout. It's scenic, it's serene, it's the best place to clear one's thoughts. One can find people jogging, fishing, dog walking, having a picnic or just relaxing. It's a nice park overall.
Can't help myself, I love Trout Lake. Wd be great if the partiers' side cd be separate from the quiet nature lovers' side but that might prove too divisive...
I am so thankful for having discovered a new gym nearby my residence. I will focus paying visit regularly there, so I can exercise and meet new ladies☺
Great park to go for a walk around the lake. Always lots of doggos to watch play!
Lots of benches to sit on. Open space with a view of the lake. Public washrooms.
nice place to walk the dog, there is no fenced off area though.
Not a bad park. But it seems like there are many people who like to live in their cars in thr parking lot and smoke pot here . The washrooms are also quite dirty.
A beautiful Park with a Lake and a great new Rec Centre, little league baseball diamond shack sells great BBQ'd burgers. and one of the best Farmers Markets on Saturdays. The north side of the park is one of Vancouver's most popular Dog Parks.
Peaceful park. A good place for a quiet walk in the morning. Bring your dog. I think it is a dog friendly park, but may want to check in advance.
Go for exercise sometimes. Nice walk/jog/bicycle place. Bike/walk trail. Some muddy spots during winter rain.
Best park. Love the guy who sings live music at the dock.
Like many spots, it has its pros and cons. Trout Lake is certainly not a swimming spot, the beach and lake water can get pretty gross, especially towards the end of the season. During the summer months and certain days of the week the park can get busy and loud. In terms of positive features, the park is expansive and many gather here for small self contained social events (barbeques, engagement parties etc.) The Farmers market here is fabulous, and many nights of the week feature live music events. It's a lovely place for a walk, the dog park is usually full of happy dogs romping around. It is also a lovely spot for birding, with plenty of waterfowl and songbird species represented here.
A perfect place for almost anything. From jogging to picnics. I love East Van and I love this park. I travel from the west side to visit it and see friends at safe distances.
Always here nowadays at Trout Lake with the pups at the off-leash area. Crowd is nice, but you do get the awkward person who doesn't realize it's an off-leash area and they decide to lay down on a towel, and the dogs come-a-running. So i would advise to double check which section you're at. As for the attendees... i would advise to keep an eye on your doggos as some owners literally just let them roam free with no oversight... i get it... they're dogs and dog will be dogs but some of these dogs don't have the most attentive owners and does result in nasty unnecessary brawls... not necessarily bad owners... but just.. keep an eye out.
Great park excellent community center right next to trout lake there is a ball park it a dog friendly park overall an excellent community park for get togethers and events
Nice and beautiful place. For families with children and dogs is perfect.
The park is beautiful but couldn't see the actual fall colors. Also its more like a dog park with everyone going in with their dogs only. The ducks are a real attraction though. One time visit for sure.
Beauty day for a hangout! The dog park side of the beach is my favourite. Good shaded areas to sit and enjoy the sun all hours of the day. The park regulars are friendly, their pups too ????
A very nice place to enjoy the view of a lake and there's also a community center
Lake water not so clean, require to install filtration system. Needs more wildlife in the park, like squirrels, ducks, fishes, etc.
Great park. Nice body of water. Not safe for swimming. Nice community center. Not in the best neighborhood but the park is safe.
Prepare to be stopped by plenty of passers-by if you bring your cute dog here! The off-leash area is loads of fun for the socially brave pooches, but there are plenty of other quiet places for those who can get overstimulated. A great mix of spaces, functions, and energies here. Super family friendly and lush. Easy to appreciate!
A must visit location its scenic location location and the lake makes an excellent spot to hang out with the family and friends
First time going there, nice community. Farmers market nearby, good autumn scenery
lake, open space, good community centre, dog park. soccer game going on. felt like a community
The Wednesday night drum circle is amazing! Fun for the whole family and the fire dancer's reminded me of Hawaii ????????
On a beautiful fall sunny day.
This parks a jewel, in the middle of an urban city, with a lake, great for swimming in the summer and skating in the winter, it's got two playgrounds, two beaches, one for people the other for dogs, walking paths, and a community centre.
Very cute neighborhood lake park.
Great playground for kids, nice little beach with an amazing view of the mountains.
Lake right in heart of eastvan, waterlife, nice walking trails, two playgrounds, undercover picnic area, free parking, close to transit, community center, public washrooms, two beaches one for dogs other for humans, lifeguard in summer!
Always a joy to come here. They also have a weekly farmers market that is lovely to stroll through
Easy to get there, tables for small groups, with a lake where dogs can swim
A great little getaway in the middle of East van. Lots of dogs! A great place for a picnic.
Amazing peaceful and serene lake park in the middle of the bustling City of Vancouver. Amazing facilities here, I loved the ice rink too.
Great park. Huge, big dog park, walking and biking trails. Two play grounds and a food vendor. Farmers market on the weekends.
Great little park complete with small lake with access for people on south side where there's a concession stand & public washrooms, dog beach on north side, lots of areas for picnics, games, a soft pitch diamond on east side & a beautiful recreation center on the sw side of the lake.
One of my fav parks in the city. The dog area is well loved by my pooch.
Excellent park, easily accessible, pet friendly with a concession stand and community center. Great place for seasonal events. Good for bird watchers as well.
Perfect place to hang out. You can meet folks in the dog off leash area, have a run around the lake or just chill on the grass. Parking is free at the Community Centre.
Beautiful fall colors
Great park for kids. Has lake, sand beach, two playgrounds and nice around the park trail. Ideal for stroller rides.
Nice big park!
Really cool vibe. Always fun people hanging there. Great on a sunny day. Do not swim in the lake though!! Great dog park.
Other than some homless people sleeping on the side of a ball park diamond and garbage cans overflowing with Dog waste bags it was ok.
It is always a delight while there the dogs their humans ❤ sunshine water trees playful children yoga in the park and joggers getting their run in It feels great
Should be called TroutLESS lake cuz I really doubt there are any trout there. Wouldn't swim in that water either but love walking around it with the dog. Good park.
Good bike and walking trails at the local lake.
Been to this place for the first time last week for a family day out. For a place that is very run down and not so clean, this place was extremely crowded with people. There are plans to renovate this place in the future.
Very nice park and little lake very close to nanaimo station
Lovely walk, one way trail is greatly appreciated to keep everyone safe and still enjoy nature!
Excellent food and clean environment for meal !
Lovely lake. Bike and walking trails. 2 kids playgrounds. Undercover picnic area
Wow! We were stunned with this park. It has everything you could want and more. We stumbled upon the farmers market and fell in love! What a fantastic public space.
Gone there for many years. It was always fun to visit as a kid and is still an enjoyable walk around the lake.
Fun place to take your furry friend for a walk. Washrooms are clean and well maintained (thank you for keeping them open). Just a wonderful and safe place for a leisure walk or run.
Great for kid's.
I didn't feel like it was a super well-kept park, However there are lots to do here. The park is really big. There's a playground for the kids, public washrooms, pathways and trails, there's big areas for picnics, there's a lake, and an off leash dog area.
The park is very beautiful and peaceful. I think the kids playground needs a little bit of love, but we had a great time nonetheless.
great fishing for the angler in your family world class beach with swimming at the south end, abundant aquatic life and waterfoul, fine dining at the south end serves classic dishes like American style bratwurst, fine chopped steak on brioche, and sauteed Julien potatoe, attentive staff gathers your empty bottles asking no tips... a great family outing!!!
Was there when all the snow and ice was about so was hard to walk around. Nice area for dogs to play.
A wonderful nature oasis in the middle of East Van. Great place to meet up with friends outdoors.
One of the best parks in the city. Colourful people and events.
Lake is good but I couldn't see any public washroom
This is a dog friendly place filled with life of all ages. Love this park all year round.
It's a nice park but there are better ones
Actually a fairly small park around Trout Lake. There are play areas and Baseball areas on the perimeter, and an Ice rink and community center on the west side.
This park is good for Pokémon Go because it has 3, Triple lure spawns. It has a community gym, where you can work or you can run around the park/lake to get your daily exercise!
Went for a walk and followed an ethereal collective of musicians into Trout Lake park. In a dreamlike state, they collected passerbys to follow them to a small covering under the trees to play us exactly one song. A beautiful introduction to fall, surrounded by beauty and music and nature.
Well-used park with two playgrounds, a dog beach, and a pond.
Couldn’t be a better dog park. Love this place for family get togethers and bbqs, too. Lots of picnic tables or grassy spots to spread a blanket in the shade. Two big playgrounds plus a small sandy beach for kids to play on. Concession has some great ice cream selections.
Enjoy an amazing walk with your furry friend in this pet friendly park where you can leave your pawsome friend unleashed. This place have the perfect view of mountains tress and lake!
Nice park to bring your dog during the daytime, I hear it gets a bit sketchy after dark...
It's seems to be a great place for families with dogs. The concession stand (although a little expensive) is well stocked with a variety of treats perfect a picnic at the beach or in any of the magnificent grassy clearings around the lake. The main pathway around the lake is accessible for wheelchairs but be careful as there are little metal sticks all around the beach areas that can puncture your tires. The off leash area is kept clean and everyone seems to help keep it that way. All in all a great way to spend a day with the family.
Coming from Oakland this place is like a shrunk down Lake Merritt. Bustling with people making use of all it has to offer. You can often find people picnicking, gathering, playing music, playing sports. During covet people have been doing …
Dog park.. perfect for dog lovers.
Great to visit especially on a sunny farm market day. Lots of events also in nearby community centre.
Not much to say but it is a good place around downtown area to walk or just seat down for a hour or so
It was a nice experience to explore this park. Its around a lake and can be walked in a full circle around it. It has sandy banks that give a beach like feeling. People are around here in groups with tents, tables and food. Nice place for family and friends to picnic. It has good playground for children to have fun. Dedicated cycle track. Large parking spots. It also has a community center besides it with ice skating.
Easy access. Easy walk around the lake. Needs an upgrade (possibly boardwalk) to save the environmental damage along the shore
Amazing park with facilities that were used for the 2010 winter Olympics
Good community with good tennis, basketball courts amongst other activities
Good, fresh. Jogging around enough for the days ahead
Fantastic little park. Great for dogs, walking, and jogging. Kid friendly park too.
My friend and I used to go to a large flea market close to this park and always grabbed a snack to eat there on the way home. While it does have a few unsavory people there, they have never bothered us. The park itself is lovely.
Love to run here in the winter time
Big beautiful park with walking path, separate bike path in some areas, public swimming area with a sandy beach, dog beach area, community centre, two food stands (seasonal), tennis courts open to the public and more. Also has a covered gazebo area with picnic tables but is often in high demand in peak seasons. This park is great for a relaxing chill sesh, a workout, play session with your dog or an outing with friends or family.
Nice park. lots of trees, shaded and open spaces and the main attraction is the lake in the middle of the park. Off leash park, dogs splash around in the lake :D
Captain Max ♾???? Be Mindful & Sanitize Hands & Have Fun. Beautiful WillowTress too!! Lots of space and lovely energy ????????????????
It's a beautiful and relaxing place to walk and unwind. I've watched the sunset here a few times and it's quite magical. Lots of willow trees here which I love.
Great park for dogs...
Lots of place to play for children, dogs. Park with lake and benches and picnic tables. Also lots of parking space available near the park.
The farmer's market delivered exactly what we were looking for-potted plants and herbs for the home and garden. Cold brew coffee kept me going all day and all night long.
One of my favorite parks in the city but the water is so gross we often avoid it. The "lake" really irritates skin and gives lots of people and dogs a rash. It would be great if the city worked out a filtration system. The swimming area is often closed due to unsafe conditions.
Great for families. Although no one was social distancing in large family groups and of all the 200+ people I only saw 2 people wearing masks. A concession stand that has icecream. Our dog liked the water because it was warm. Great place to socialize dogs off leash.
It's a perfect place for a picnic
Quite busy. Big park for walking around. Pond is full of ducks and geese (the odd heron)
Love walking an running here! Also lots of grass and a field great for yoga!
Absolutely lovely spot. Playgrounds, baseball diamonds, a Rec centre, an off-leasb dog area, and more! The only thing I wish was that folks would respect the areas where dogs need to be on leash!
Very nice park. BIG and vast. Parking is not great at all!
One of the most popular locations to swim. finding parking here is the worst. if you wanna swim here you have to go first thing in the morning so you can get a parking spot.
Nice place to bike and watch dogs run around at the dog park. On Saturdays is a little bit crowded with the farmer's market.
I love this park beautiful place I've been going since I was very little do not recommend swimming though
Beautiful picturesque lake, easy walking, gorgeous fall colors and lots of birds
Something to do for everyone. Even it's just sitting by the lake watching the people and wildlife. Lots of grass and enough trees for some shade on a warm sunny day, where you'll find people spread about on their blankets, soaking up the rays. I like it better than Stanley Park.
Nice park, dirty 'lake'. There's a path that takes you all the way around the park. There's a restaurant - can't comment on it. There is also a great farmer's market every Saturday from May to October. There is a large community center there, but I haven't used it. Plenty of lawn area to sit, but there's also benches and a playground. There is also a small amount of parking. There are swimming areas for people and dogs, but to be honest I wouldn't recommend swimming there. I've only taken my dogs to swim there, but I will not again as one developed an ear infection that took multiple veterinarian visits and medications to end. The next time I visited there were signs posted at both beaches saying the water did not meet standards for swimming. These signs remained up for weeks, then I just stopped visiting. If you do wish to take yourself or your dog swimming, I would advise you to check out the bacteria levels online first. The dog off-leash area has plenty of area away from the dog beach, but it is not segregated in any way from the rest of the park or the road. Be safe! Also, there are no dog poo bags provided, but there are dog poo waste bins.
Great family park and dog walking spot. The North half is a dog off - leash area. There is a swimming beach at the South end and a dog beach at the North end.
Awesome park! Dog friendly at the south end and a farmers market on Saturdays.
This is an amazing place for simply sit and think, but also to go out with the family, bring pets, run and do outside activities in general. in addition, the park is well maintained and clean, I recommend it to everyone.
Great place to for a walk, a run, or to walk your dog. Off leash dog park at North end of lake. Nice walking trails, clean, safe place to go.
It's a nice little area in the city where you can enjoy some peace and quiet and have a nice walk....or sit.....totally up to you....lol anyways if your ever in the area pop on by and enjoy the view.....cheere
I loved this park when I was younger. Now, it's so crowded, you can't find a 'private' spot to enjoy peace.
So Gorgeous Park. Gorgeous view in the fall when the leaves turn different colors So colorful! A very nice panoramic view, There are some nice maple trees.
Spacious park with a beautiful lake.
Beautiful park with trout Lake right in the center. Perfect for walking your dog or a jog.
My favourite off leash area for dogs! My guy loved it there, and there are always a few dogs there to run around with. Also, the docks are a great spot to kick back with a couple friends on a sunny afternoon.
Strangely the lake can actually be waded in. During special events people actually swim in it :-). There is a small playground for kids. This is a terrific park for a picnic or event day. During summer TFC Volleyball sets up R4 tournaments here. Close by there is a Trout Lake farmers market during summer.
What's not to love when you are outside in a park walking around a lake with many dogs happily playing?
My family really enjoys a nice stroll here around the lake on a mid-October day! Gorgeous view in the fall (when the leaves turn different colors)! So colorful! A very nice panoramic view! There are some nice maple trees!!! My mom picked up some beautiful maple leaves from the ground! There is also a nice playground next to Trout Lake Beach. My baby enjoyed playing there!
Such a beautiful place to watch fall color.
A groovy park to take a stroll, has wildlife, sometimes coyotes too! Right in the heart of Commercial drive area. Often host farmers' markets here, and festivities. Very family oriented too.
Love going every Saturday morning to buy fresh salads and mushrooms. A walk along the lake is a bonus!
Well rounded little park, lake, lots of grassy area and a cool walking and biking trail that goes around the lake as well! If you feel you want a little break from this city, this is a nice calm space for that. Swimming in the lake isn’t recommended, its not one of those lakes!
Good place to go on a nice weather. There are many trees and good view
Rustic setting for a picnic, especially by the lake, which is framed by the north shore mountains.
Awesome place to take your kids, there's always other children playing here and kids play well with each other. It's all in one - children's playground, which is the biggest I've seen! sand area, a water stream, lots of trees (I've always seen children climbing a particular one) , and the lake, which has ducks and birds. Plenty of car parking, and lot of open space to run around. It can get pretty crowded in warm weather.
Swim in the lake at urban fresh water beach let your dog run free, on Saturday best farmers market in all the land .
Amazing park in the city with a scenery of four different seasons around the lake for you to take the photos. Personally love the season of autumn.
Beautiful park. Trout lake market is also a great local place to get veggies plants honey and from time to time beer.
Beautiful park and great location. I highly recommend this place for a quick visit with your friends and family members
Lots of space for social distance! Great way to get away from the bustle of living downtown without having to go too far.
Great dog area for off leash fun with a beach.
This park is large enough for students of Vancouver Elementary School to run cross country together. The parking lot doesn't seem to be wide.
Bring your camping chair, drink, and book...
I have not used this park a lot as I usually go the other way from where I live. I rated 4 stars because, in Summer, the beach is often closed because of pollution. The Trout Lake Community Centre (5 stars) s a well established centre and has extensive programs for all ages
This park is great. Love the off leash dog area and the poi displays by the lake in the summer.
Trout lake has a great dog park, small little beach and community centre with tennis, baseball, basketball, etc.
Great place to walk your dog! Picnic friendly with gazebos, etc. Farmers markets in the summer! Skating in the winter if the lake freezes over!
Beautiful lake with a surrounding walk. Limited parking.
Is a park. Lots of space, community centre, good paths for running.
I love this place, nature in town with beautiful mountain in background. Where everyone can play, small, big and dogs !
Lovely area for outdoor covid friendly gathering. Wish there are more washroom facilities in the proximity
I love this park but the poor lake is quite polluted and the ducks are starving. It would be nice to have something done about this.
Always a place to sit and relax. Great kids park fenced in .
Beautiful autumn in trout lake park.
Friendly park for everyone. Especially dogs likes this area.
Parks Board needs to maintain restrooms regularly.
A beautiful park with a a lake in the center. There's a trail that circles the lake surrounded by grass fields.at one end of the lake, there is a community center with public washrooms/showers. A small beach and playground, and a picnic/barbecue area. At the other end, there is a lighted wooded area, next to some wooden bleachers overlooking the lake. This side has an off leash area for dogs. It's a great place to go alone or in groups. You can play sports, go for a run, lay in the sun, walk your dog, or sit in the shade admiring the serenity of the lake.
It 's spring time and you should visit this beautiful park .There are all sorts of activities . The driveway was alittle bit muddy and you should have good shoes .
What a beautiful park! I can't believe I've never been here in my 6 years in Vancouver. Gorgeous trees, little lake, and mountain view. Perfect for walking, running, kids and dogs. Also a farmer's market (long lines during Covid- ho early)
One of the larger and more frequented parks in the city. A staple of East Van living. There's an off-leash doggo park for those with doggos to let loose or those without doggos to go and enjoy their vibrant attitude towards life. :) Great for running as well, and loads of space for picnics or general summer lounging in grassy parks. The adjacent community centre has loads of amenities. There are a few sports fields here as well as a small beach on trout lake which sometimes doesn't have dangerous levels of E-coli. ????
Trout lake is such a sweet little park in the city. If you come early there is always a ton of parking. Lovely to walk around and take photos at. Public washrooms are available in the community center as well as by the beach. Pre covid there were some fun farmers market events too! Highly recommended hitting up seasons bakery nearby and enjoying it in this park.
Ever since the small child I've been going here for skating and and Good Times held by all the great Community holders that respect everyone all the time here it's one of the best community centres in the neighbourhood out of all the neighborhoods and I'm not trying to be biased but I am East van and if you are too then I recommend bringing your kids here and showing them the beginning of a good long and plentiful relationship with their community we all stick together and we're all going to make it that's why you should always go to Trout Lake Community Center
Dogs are allowed here and you almost always see them playing in the water. A big enough park for a good, long walk
New nice. Renovated for Olympics. Great kids playground with new stuff and sand pit with water source. Better if had a pool
Dog beach one end of lake, people Beach other end of lake, community center, children's play ground, picnic shelter, little league baseball and soccer fields
A lot happens in this lake park. Its a huge park with loads of ppl coming for camping, hang out and sports like baseball etc.
Oh wow..... this place has such potent energy. For real I love being there. From the Lights festival, to wishing I could swim in the water, and volunteering for ecological restoration with Metro Parks... it's all good at Trout Lake. Check out this cool old piece of car I dug up while removing invasive Himalayan Blackberry root bulbs!
Great place to hang out, play outdoor games. Always lots of space. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean.
Super friendly dog park and picnic areas.
Great local park, with a nice walking loop path, bike path, and multiple areas for different sports to be played. Trout Lake Community Centre is right there and on summer weekends, the Farmer’s Market is a must
Frozen lake = dreamy
A much enjoyed urban park. It's huge, and there's a lake in the middle. dog friendly play areas. Always lots of folks picnicing and playing.
Great spot, l attend Tai Chi there. Can't wait to come after restrictions are easied.
Beautiful place to walk around the lake. Take my Jack Russell Terrier for a walk. Gr8 to have our Grand sons Birthday party in the park.
Awesome park. My dog and I both enjoy coming to this park because there is plenty of open green space to run and play. During the summer time there is a farmers market. There is an off-leash area for dogs to run around freely but we also enjoy the many different paths and meeting other friendly dogs and their humans. There are also washrooms and water fountains for convenience.
Beautiful and quite park where you can here the the water waves.
Very beautiful park in the heart of Vancouver. It has a nice lake with a mini beach where you can relax and get sun tan. In the south east side of the park on the grass you'll see many music groups playing. If you like music you can sit there and enjoy a free concert. Take a blanket with you to avoid sitting on goose dung that are all over the grass in summer lol
Nice park
A decent and well attended community city park. So many dogs, and people enjoying it. I was there to test out some camera equipment and had a great time.
Also known as Trout Lake. This park has everything. There's always lots of parking and enough space for everyone to enjoy a day at the park.
My childhood park/lake always nice ????
It's a good place to go and have a nice picnic by the water or go for a run, just dont go in the water
Great Park to take the kids and the dog for an afternoon walk, or picnic.
Beautiful park. Currently there's a small infestation of people buried in smart phones hunting Pokémon, but don't let that discourage you.
What a beautiful park, I love it in all type of seasons. They have also a side for dogs to be free of leash... Beautiful all year round!
Amazing Park. My perfect weekend is going for a walk with my friends in this park. I don't think there's anything better.
Relaxing and romantic. Lots of great trees, nice grass to lay on, beautiful Lake, and the sunset is incredible from here.
Beautiful place to go. Very peaceful.
Nice park, I wish the off leash area felt more secure though. I worry about my dog running out or jumping the short "fences" a really nice area to walk around though.
Nice walk around the lake. Dog off leash at north end of the lake. I lived here long ago,my how it has grown.
Nice place for walks. Appropriate for all ages groups
If you want to enjoy the autumn this park is must. I loved it.
It's a great little park full of life and dogs. The water smells kinda weird by moment
The patrons do not care for the dogs leash laws. They let them run around all over without leash even in the areas where leash is required. Also where dogs are prohibited like on the beach people do not observe the rules.
A true gem in the city. Fun to walk around the lake, picnic and visit the Farmer's market in the summer.
Great place for family or social bubble picnics. Or just a walk around the lake.
Good time walking with our daughter.
Fresh snow, everything so clean ????
This Park has a Spirit! You will feel relaxed near the water :)
Really dirty but a cool place to hang out. there is a lot of garbage everywhere, and the lake is disgusting, but it's good for picnics!
Grew up in this neighborhood. The park is nice, can get a little crowded in summer but very nice with plenty of secret walks and trails. Dont go in the water. This place has been a cesspool of coliform bacteria since the early 2000s (I rmb seeing fish dead and floating in the lake since 2003). NICE PARK THO
Friendly atmosphere in the neighborhood and awesome fall colors.
really a charming gem among the bustle of Vancouver, very popular though!
Lovely quiet spot in the middle of the city
It in good place for walking
Nice local park. Great local amenities and farmer's market. Equipment is a little dated.
Nice place to take the dog for a run and swim. It gets really muddy when it's wet so be prepared to get dirty. Also be a smart dog owner and control your dog when out of the off leash area. Don't let it run around and chase wildlife and people.
It's a place where you can relax and enjoy the scenery of the mountain and city all at the same time.
A great oasis in the middle of East Van. Lots going on with a great dog off leash area, farmers market in the summer and the Trout Lake Community Center.
Favourite place to take the dog in Vancouver. Beautiful lake, excellent farmers market
Pretty cool park but there is bird poo everywhere!! Not sure if there is anything that can be done about it but means it's near impossible to walk around bare foot. The area undercover with the tables is great for group events. We even saw a deer walking through while we were there!!
Trout Lake is a place where all the special moments in life happen. It's where you attend birthday parties in the summer and watch your friend in the cow patterned pants have one too many grapefruit IPA. It's the place where you go on your first date and feel that first spark. It's the place where you break up with someone you thought you couldn't live without and listen to Lizzo on the bike ride home. It's a place for pickup soccer, climbing trees, picnics, watching the geese, and flirting with cuties at the farmers market. Trout Lake is for late night runs, mid summer concerts with all the East Van hipsters, and hugs after "sealing the deal." Trout Lake is a place for everyone.
Enormous city park, running between 12th & 19th Ave! Many amenities - rec center, concession, beautifully treed, with space enough for picnicking & playing family games! A lovely place to gather, that's quite central for most people across the city! Enjoy! :)
Excellent community hub! Go for a jog around the lake or come by over the weekend for a lush farmers market. Dogs galore (my personal favorite reason to go)!
Park and community centre has it all. Family and kids space with great activities. A nice short trail around the lake, ice hockey rink, what else do you need?
Terrific peaceful & tranquil walk around a quiet lake and park.. nice escape
Beautiful green lawns cool breezes under broad shade trees kids and digs splashing and playing in the water. Wonderfull.
Great park to walk your dogs and bring your kids.
The maple leaf here in the fall is amazing.
Beautiful place ????
We used to hold the Caribbean picnic at that park back in the eighties
Nice open park
Good dog park. Looks out for this guy...
Nice park. Lots of people. Facilities look good. Didn’t go indoors to any of the building, but had a nice walk around
The Whomping Willow tree in John Hendry park is an exquisite example of the tenacity of life.
Love this park, the new playground is pretty awesome & it's great to have a little lake to visit, right in the heart of the city.
Excellent open area to bring your kids and let them release their energy at the play structures. The lake is a nice feature year around with local ducks, geese, turtles, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and pet dogs. For dog owners, the park has dedicated dog waste bins and large open fields for them to run around. The concession booth was open yesterday for convenience. It's a nice park and well maintained by the city.
Such an awesome 15-20 minute walk around Trout lake!!!
Nice and convenient place to visit. Beautiful scenery, nice for walk with family.
Every park in the midst of a modern city metropolin is like a great breath of fresh air, pun intended. But the problem is, like in so many other real-estate city parks, what it there to do in the park? There is a diamond in one of the corners. You can walk your dog or walk around the lake. There is little league court on the east side. Benches are sparsely scattered around. There could be many more trees planted in strategic locations to make the park visitors less exposed to the sun in summer and the cold wind in winter, thus making the park more usable and enjoyable. City people really need parks they can use for multiple purposes and to bring a bit of nature to their concrete laden doorstep.
Everyone calls it Trout Lake. There's a perfect C25K running/walking loop around the lake and the fall foliage is spectacular.
Grew up in this neighborhood as a kid. Beautiful little lake in the middle of the city, great place to bbq and have the kids run around in the summer or bbq all year if you'd like (there's a gazebo),
Usually great experiences for off leash dog park
I walked around the entire circumference of the lake. There are two walking paths and a separate path for cyclist. There are many benches along the way for rest photos, and phone calls. There are a lot of pokemon stops too of you play that! The dog park is near by so you can bring the entire family. The canteen was open today there was hot and cold food available if you didn't want to bbq.
Very nice place to walk around, plus the community centre gym is very modern with a great outdoor excercize deck
Lovely place.. with the vibrant autumn leaves around.
Beautiful spot, great playground and trail for kids in their bikes.
Love this local relaxing spot. Great for dogs and owners to get time out for quiet and exercise.
The city could do a lot to make this park better. A nice place to go for a quick walk and great for dog owners. The water was unusable when we went due to contamination.
They have a farmers market open every Saturday selling the freshest local ingredients! This park is also a nice place for a stroll, very safe and also has the Trout Lake Community Center nearby.
John Henry Park is better known as Trout Lake. If you're a dog lover, come in the afternoon for some dog therapy. Many people bring their dogs to play in the off leash area. If you're not a dog lover, come here anyway. There's a nice beach to sit and chat in the summer, have a picnic in the grassy area in front of the lake, or go for a walk in the trails. It's especially beautiful in Autumn when the leaves turn shades of orange, and yellow.
Nice neighbourhood park to visit. Easy 10-15 minute walk around the lake. Does get a little busy especially in the afternoon, early evening.
Nice place to hang out or for dating but not a huge place for outdoor activities such as volleyball or frisbee. Not many BBQ spots but we found a good one near the parking entrance which was great. Reservation is required for the general picnic area and be sure to bright your table cloth or a plastic one cause obviously, this place is too leisure to have people care about cleaning up after themselves.
It's a nice park, good for taking the dog out for a walk. There's 2 playgrounds for kids, beachy area for lounging and a few picnic tables. The only annoying thing is my feet always get so dirty on the path (loose dirt) if I'm wearing sandals
Grown up here for 20+ years and love this park. Skated on the lake last winter when it froze over. However, the whole park is due for some cleaning up and upgrading especially the old fishing docks.
Great park to bring your dog. Tons of room for them to run around and also they can play in the lake. Summer Farmer's Market is good here too.
I love this park so much but there's no way in hell would I go in that water
Lovely park for dogs to run and play to their hearts' content:)
LOVE this park. It feels like you're outside the city while in the middle of Vancouver. It has 2 playgrounds, 2 beaches, picnic tables, 2 baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, concessions stand, and so much more. The trail is not too long but it's kids and pets and bike friendly. You can have bbq and picnic in summer and snow sledding in winter. It's super fun!
❤
Just had a little staff get together.. Hot dogs, Frisbee. Great place to be on a sunny day. Lots of room to play some team sports.
Off leash dog park only in the designated area. Check the map. Very popular park
It's a great park but the water is no good my dog got an infection because of the water and I've heard story's about other dogs getting sick because of the water. I like that the dogs can run around and my dog loves it
When I was at trout lake it was a memorable experience it was like I was away from the city even though Victoria st was a block away it gave me the kind of warm feeling seeing kids playing dogs fetching sticks the beach was really impressive even though no one was swimming if you want a place to get away I definitely recommend trout lake
A perfect place for a family BBQ. Lots of fun for the littles with great playground and sandbox full of toys!!
Good place for an outing, one of the big park in Vancouver
I visit and love taking my son here, loves running threw the lawn , feeding the ducks and geese bread in the little pond. Kids to play with at the park, but watch around alot of dog food doo on the pathways.
This is the park that surrounds Trout Lake. There is an off-leash dog area, plenty of grass and picnic space, several baseball diamonds, a football field and more. A main bicycle route cuts through here, so I pass by often on my commute. The path is well used and well maintained. There's a beach that is staffed with a lifeguard during the summer months, but I wouldn't swim here because of the stagnant water and geese. Higher risk of swimmer's itch. Thursdays during summer there's a huge TFC volleyball league that covers most of the North (football field) and South field areas.
Great place to hang out and chill! Only drawback is that the people that collect bottles are vultures and somewhat aggressive
This is a great park to get out for a walk, jog, or run around the lake. While you’re there, there is a concession stand for food and drink, and you’ll often find people there with their dogs playing catch and getting some well needed walkers! Most days it is busy here mid afternoon and weekends you will always find lots of people out around the lake or playing soccer on one of the big fields. A few great spots to sit, and even some nice docks to stand on and look at the birds all around.
It is great to cycle around the lake with my dog, Lexie. In the early mornings it is ideal, between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM it is often crowded with people making it difficult to cycle. Even walking, pushing the bike with my dog can be difficult... there are a mix of dog friendly and dog not so friendly people.
Such a dog friendly park! Just love this place
This park is absolutely gorgeous. Lots of space to hang and enjoy yourself. The lake is beautiful to watch. There is a park for younger children. A field to play whatever. Easy and lots of parking.
Very nice park. Lake nearby, good for activities with friends and family.
Excellent park in the middle of the city. go for a run, enjoy the view.. feels like you are somewhere else.
Lots here, a small lake, dog off-leash area, baseball diamond, farmers market, bbq area, concession stand and lots of grass area.
Cool little lake to relax and watch the ducks go by. Lots of doggo meet ups too
We come here a lot to play with our son. Park is clean and very beautiful. Awesome in summer when the market is on too!
Nice big park. Good dog friendly dock. Good community center.
Such a gem right within the city! It's very easy to reach by bike and the farmer's market is great!
Beautiful spot in the city????
Beautiful park for walking, biking or playing lots of sports, you can even swim in the lake on Summer time when is allowed.
Beautiful huge park, with great trails, an occasional farmer's market, and a gorgeous lake. Picnics, Barbecues, sports are all good ideas for this place.
Great retreat and outdoor space, weekend farmers markets are a blessing.
Awesome park. Off-leash area, small lake, lots of grass for picnics or exercise.
Love this place. Perfect for nice morning/evening runs!
One of the most relaxing places you can be in the middle of the city. Wide open spaces for large groups. Just don't think that this is a swimming or fishing spot, that's a bit overrated.
Really good place to enjoy the free time
Beautiful park with two fantastic playgrounds, both a new one, made predominantly of natural materials, and an older one that is much quieter. With a beautiful walking path, a lake and tons of trees to climb, it's an awesome place to take kids!
Very nice to see most people keeping distance even in their groups... a few were ignoring protocol.
Open space and quiet niches out in the park. At the centre, Trout Lake provides outstanding opportunities for urban recreation.
Great park to go for a jog or walk. Updated kids park too.
Beautiful little lake and very pretty during fall. The red maple hugs the lake beautifully.
One star missing because the washrooms were closed.
I watched a tree fall down today. It went crashing down onto the porta potties. Thankfully nobody got hurt.
Beautiful park. Full of lovely trees. Big inexpensive. There's also a lake, many were swimming in it. I'm not sure I would have done that, it's beautiful to look. Good park to take a bike ride through.
It was very picturesque, and lovely. But the amount of goose poop was concerning. I had to dance between the feces as I tried to get into Trout Lake. Also, the worker at the concession stand was very stingy with the very inflated cost of a single scoop of ice cream. He blamed it on the city. How sad. The scoop was smaller then any scoop I had every seen in my life, anywhere.
Has a small Beach with logs you can sit on/or against, a concession and public restrooms adjacent to it, gravel and paved walking trails around the perimeter of the lake with a little dock on the water, a dog park, a bike path, a baseball field and plenty of wide open grassy areas for other sports, picnics and barbecues. There are parking lots on the North side, Southside and a large one on the East side that is connected to the Trout Lake community center.
Best community park in East Van. Great for picnics large and small, walking, jogging, playing with your dog, a quick pick-up game of soccer or baseball. There's almost always some event going on, especially in the summer - I especially like the Farmer's Market.
A delightful place to walk around, have a picnic, or shop at the farmers market that happens every Sunday.
I had the best burger I have had in a long time...friendly servers..clean.
My favorite park to take my kids. Just needs more water fountains.
it was so nice to be here and even though there were a lot of people it was still very comfortable
It's a pretty good dog park...dogs can swim in the disgusting lake...lots of room to run around...this park has it all, acrobats, drum circles, larpers and ninjas. This place is really popular.
Favourite local park of all time. Love its maple leaf season.
My favorite park close to my house. Chill, beer and relax is welcomed here! Tons of different activities happening for public for free every day!
Very beautiful in the fall. They also have a really nice place for Dogs to play!
Always well maintained and clean. Great view of the mountains in the background as well as the off leash dog park.
Great for walks and chilling in the garden. Very limited BBQ table/picnic table!
Very nice park with tiny beaches, seating, and bridges. Sunset looks great from here.
Always a delight, but even better with a sprinkling of snow (only wish it stayed longer).
Trout lake is a little gem in the heart of east van lots of room for your four legged friends as well as all us 2 leggers! Lots of spots to sit and contemplate your navel or the world u choose
May to September on the weekends and sometimes busy evenings the concession is open. Also watch for fire spinners and free events
The Trout Lake Community Center has changing rooms and other amenities, making staying all day at the lake very manageable. The grounds ate beautifully maintained.
Nice park for walk around the lake. But too many dogs. The trails are in need for maintenance and/or upgrade
Beautiful park. Nice for family picnics or dog walks. Sometimes the garbage bins are full.
Wiener dog costume group very friendly people and pets.
Lots of fun activities in summer evenings.
Awesome little green space in the city. Good bathrooms. Good walk. Good sit n chill spots. Good parking. Good sports facilities. One of the best park spaces in town.
Interesting park. Just don't go in the water
Bit cold this time of year but otherwise a great place to check out the fire spinners they have at night in that summer
Trout Lake is always a good time. Lots of activity, trails, a little beach, good grass area. Lots to see and do. The Farmers Market is great as well!
Wonderful community park. Small lake. Sometimes swimming. Dog friendly.
A great park, this is during the CV19 era of 2020, but a great place to socially distance but yet still meet up with friends.
You don't need to be a coffee connoisseur to make good coffee at home. You'll know what you like and dislike about any coffee you try, without a sense of taste sophistocated enough to know that one has a more "winy" aroma or "clean" taste than another. However, it helps to know the taste terms used by connoisseurs so that you understand what to look for. As you make better and better coffee, you will have a more sophisticated taste for it. The Breakdown Coffee tasters look for four things, and three of them are derivative of the fourth one. At the highest level is flavor. And what comes together to make up a coffee's flavor are acidity, aroma, and body. Coffee tasters will generally pinpoint characteristics of the acidity, aroma, and body to describe the quality of the coffee bean. Most of us do not have the sophistocated sense of taste needed to be a coffee-taster, but this profession has given the rest of us a way to describe coffee but especially what you should expect from a quality cup of coffee.
Amazing park! Beautiful during summer and fall. There's a dog section in the park as well. Perfect for biking.
Great park! Lots of amenities and well maintained
Nice spot... but no coffee shop around to get something while your kid(s) is playing...
This is a great park with paths around the lake, and two playgrounds with a bathroom close to each - helpful when you're there with kids.
Lots to do here, tennis courts, great space for family events or picnics and access to public toilets.
Close to home a great little walk when you don't want to go far and live near commercial drive
Beautiful place to spent an beautiful evening ???????? ????
Love the place. Bring ym dog there all the time
Nice Neighborhood park n picnic spot
Picnic tables and a great place for breaking bread together outdoors. Bless
Beautiful Park in the middle of East Van, come here if you want to have a nice walk around the lake, chill by the small beach or just watch the dogs play around
Beautiful Urban park featuring a small lake, community centre with skating rink and fitness and a Saturday Farmers market. Lovely setting with Nice view of the North Shore mountains. Also a very popular dog beach.
Great park for kids and dogs. Lots of places to walk and play. Community centre facility with parking and bathrooms.
Good place to take gf for picnic
Nice park...water but murky,
Large park with lots of ducks and a pond
This park is a community treasure. Large, spacious, with a number of different "settings" and experiences on offer. It's a quiet hub throughout the year.
It's spacious. There's a paved biking path and runners/walkers path. I love how there's enough shade coverage in the park for picnics and such. I'm very simple and it's enough for me to have a good peace of mind.
Park is also known as Trout Lake among the locals. This is a small medium size community park with a community centre on the west side of the park. Good for short walks. Many dog owners do not have their dog on leash when walking. For those who are afraid of dogs must take note. There is a small beach on the south side of the lake.
Great park, farmers market, and lake.
Nice park to ride a bike, stroll around or bbq and have good time in summer. It is centrally located. Very easy to go there. Plenty of parking.
Lovely place. Not too crowded usually. Have porta potties.
Always been a great hangout place for our Super Funtime Friends group!
I love this park, just don't swim in the lake
Fabulous park with a beautiful lake in the middle and great views of the mountains.
Nice place for kids in the busy area. Community center & beach around lake has activities, events going on most of the time.
Love this place nice for walk and beautiful view.
Nice park for dogs, tennis, basketball and to stroll around. Very scenic
Great spot for a walk or jog. Come watch the Dogs! Lovely place for a Picnic.
On a warm day with the dogs playing and people BBQing , it's a little bit of Heaven
Atmosphere and surrounding is calm cool and friendly. Beautiful place for family's to take their small children to go and play as freely as could be!!
One of my favorite park in BC, hope communities will host more events, parties and festivals, all city vibes, connect and bring people together in harmony. Plant more fruits and flowers to eat, because someone's always hungry. ????
Beautiful place. Lots of hidden paths along the walk. The swampy areas along the way are beautiful. All of the willow trees are great for climbing, and there are a few playgrounds nearby.
Serene, beautiful, lovely place for oneself or companions
may it forever be its own type of beautiful, whatever they name it.
Absolutely my favourite park. I like to call it my "happy place".
Single favourite park in Vancouver. Great for dog watching and a weekly local farmers market in the warmer months.
Today 27 May 2020 at 5pm the park was crowded. There was a 2 to 3 people moving line at the female rest room, when I finally got in, it was disappointing to find that the toilet paper dispensers were empty in 2 out of the 3 stalls. The walls and floors were stained/dirty. These are very very very narrow and short stalls, very hard to not brush up against the walls and door (I am a size 4). The single sink in this 3-stall restroom was clogged. In the absence of Covid 19, we might all be able to make do with these conditions. With the presence of Covid 19, I suggest that these facilities be closed if the city does not have the resources to keep the users of these facilities safe. I and a few others left without using the toilets, but there were others who had to use it without a choice.
Reliable little path around a lake with dog park and playgrounds and pavilions and runners and spectacular mountain views....that floods in winter rains. But it's right there and it's ours, so I love it.
Wide and clean park located at the central of east Vancouver. Good for picnic, exercising and other activities
This place is great for dogs and owners, throwing the ball or swimming in the lake, meeting people with their dogs and having a nice social hour or two. Also great for picnics and going to Trout Lake Market or maybe using the community …
Nice park for the family. It's huge. Connected all around the lake. The playground in front of the community centre is awesome for kids of all ages. Nice concession stand on the south side of the lake serving burgers, chicken strips, fries and ice cream.
Pretty nice great to ride bike or run around the lake. There's an off leash section for dogs. The lake is more of a pond, there's a beach area. But I don't think people swim in it. The water looked pretty shallow and stagnant when we went
peaceful lake park. dog friendly park. my dog loved playing on the grass and look around with happy face
Good park, not very well maintained.
I loved the park, it was so beautiful with all the fall colors
It's a small and beautiful park. But it was too crowded for It's size. Also there were sections with foul smell. Certainly there are much more beautiful parks in Vancouver area.
Very busy, little parking, beautiful spot for an afternoon picnic.
Beautiful city park with a nice modern playground. The trail around the park is even. Great for beginner runners like me.
Great place to have a beer. Keep open liquor 20m away from playgrounds. See City of Vancouver website for more details.
Beautiful, spacious park with tons of grassy space for sports, picnics, and playing with your dog, to name a few common activities! Do note that people are discouraged from swimming in the lake, and the Skytrain runs a few blocks away up a hill. A few lakeside docks have also been closed off.
This park is huge! Its got the community centre, the lake, concession, farmers market, big grassy areas and playground
I was there when it was snowing, when it was raining, when it was sunny, but the most beautiful seen can be captured at a foggy night close to the lake ????
Love this park! The view of water and mountain was beautiful
This is my go to walking trail. Great views in the fall . We enjoy the unleashed dog park and watch them all run around.
Took my kids back to my childhood favourite and was thoroughly disappointed. I recalled the park lively with kids playing, swimming, walking dogs and fishing. Now there are signs everywhere to stay out of areas where I had explored. The docks and surrounding areas need serious maintenance. We spent about an hour walking the perimeter of the lake and went back to our local Green Timbers Park. Disappointing.
A good place for family and pets to enjoy a walk. Some Sunday you can shop around the farmers market over there too.
Love this park. So so lucky to live just blocks away. The only thing I could wish for was cleaner water. Do not advise swimming.
Like the BBQ area, spacious and near the washroom and park for kids...great big tree perfect shade...
Beautiful park. Lots of space for groups, large or small.
I love this park very much.
The farmers market on Saturday is the most wholesome way to spend a morning. Beautiful nature and chill vibes. Always people around any time of year.
Super dog-friendly park with lots of space for picnicking, BBQ's, fire spinning, acro-yoga, jogging, basketball, baseball, rugby, volleyball and more...
Great place to hangout and relax with friends. It is big enough to feel seperate from the city, while still being in it. Very few trout though
Nice park, but people there not wearing Face Mask during COVID-19 out break. Be careful when you go there.
Another beautiful day at the park with friends and family.
Great park, and place to have a lunch.
Great site for a picnic and BBQ.
It is nice place to spend a time walking or running or spend a part of the day with family or friends playing or celebrating.and it is near commercial street safway shopper and many stors and fast food restaurants.
Great place to take the family and the lil doggo for a walk.
Beautiful Park. Gorgeous Willow trees and lots of space to run around. Can be muddy in areas. Great walking area
Nice big park to take the kids and dog for a walk. Don't miss the Farmer's market on Saturdays!
Beautiful and accessible park. Two playgrounds for kids that have washrooms nearby. Some dog owners will let their dogs off leash in all areas of the park so if you are really nervous around dogs you need to be aware of that. To be honest, I would rather let my dog run around Everett Crowley Park.
It was a beautiful day . Everyone had there own thing happening. We bought food ( chickenstrip n fries at concession and friend got the veggie burger. Everything was great. ) even have icecream ;p we found a nice patch of grass to sit on there was lots to choose from even goin on a busy saturday evening. Sun stayed till about 845/9pm There was alot of geese so that means there was plenty of poopys around so noo bare feet! Great place for picnics ,bbqs, vollyball, frisbee. stay active friends ! ????
Hidden gem in the middle of the city. Very tranquil
Great place for a walk! So many dogs ????
Always beautiful but a little crowded and need more bathrooms!
Dogs are out of control here, good vibe despite the entitled owners
Was nice walk water is very dirty
Good facilities and environment. User friendly setting. Great location for local residents and visitors.
Enjoyed some Korean corn dogs from the food truck that was there.
It was relaxing, clean, and beautiful.
Great park with lease free area for dogs Also known as trout lake Has a newer community center with gym area & ice skating rink Has a a small coffee bar in the center Park is near Nanaimo & Grandview hw Lots of park space for picnics cycling or just walk around trout lake or chill on a park bench & watch the ducks
It's a great little lake, warm to swim in during the summer, and not as busy as most of the beaches. There's even on duty lifeguards during the summer. Good playgrounds that the kids love, and just a lovely park to boot!
It was nice to see all if the people out to gather for bbq's and relax.
Good place to have a picnic, or go for a light jog. Small beach area as well that's not overly busy during the summer months.
Now that's a great place to bring your dog for a walk and get a little exercise your self because there's a lake there and it takes a little while to get around it. Then you meet up with all the other dogs and there owners when you are finished walking around the lake
Family friendly place where picnics and BBQ 's rule.
Trout is a favourite for dogs (and anyone really)!
In the middle of fall
Gteat place to hang out, maybe swim maybe not? Walk around Lake/Pond is a little short, other then that it is pretty great.
A beautiful garden that can enjoy nature and walking, it has a playground for young and old sports, and a beautiful lake.
Nice big park to find a quiet place to find some zen
A nice little park in the middle of East Van. Great for families and those taking their dogs for a walk.
A largish but barebones park. Good if you need a big space for softball, football or walking your dog. Minimal facilities for small children, and less than minimal landscaping and seating. The city cuts the grass and that's about all. Farmers markets, and a few other events throughout the year liven things up.
Playground structure is great for older kids up to 12. Young ones too are accommodated. Beautiful view. Lots of shaded trees. Hard to socially distance. It can get quite busy, even when kids are in school. Pro d days for kids are packed there and so is break. Nevertheless, most people are respectful to give you space. The kids on the other hand will be kids and it's hard for them to contain their excitement, so if you dont want your child near other kids, not the best option.
Great for dog walking. Community centre includes daycare facilities, workout gym, and ice rink.
The community centre was rebuilt some years ago, along with the park, and sand box. These renovations compliment the lake nicely, and the paths around it. Deceptively big, quiet, and a joy to take in nature, even though it's right off two major arteries
Nice park, nice lake to look at (Trout Lake) to bad you can't swim in it. Wednesday nights there is live music. It's a nice walk from my house.
5 stars just based on the size and variety of stuff to do, and how many lakes are you going to find in the middle of the city? City has been planning to upgrade park for ages but has not followed through... so some parts are showing their age... but that doesn't really detract from the experience at all, still a great park.
Great place to take your dog or your friends. Don't take your friend's dog though. (whatever you do)
Nice park with two dog parks. Bring your love together.
Nice area to have a picnic or BBQ. Lots of shades and also open areas for the ones that are looking to get some sun tan. Good for family/friends/group gathering.
Great little park, lots of matue tree, lake is usually filled with dogs and the cleanliness of the water reflects it. Solid location for a picnic.
Excellent dog park area, spacious and a nice trail around the lake. Can get muddy and icy, though, and the water is often too dirty to swim in. Parking can be tricky in summer when one of the parking lots is used for farmer market.
I love the trees and the open space for walking. It's never crowded. Peaceful.
Nice short walk. There's a path that's closer to the water that you'll probably want to wear boots for most of the year in Vancouver. But there's a dry path further away from the water as well as a bike path on the East side. Off-leash area! Also, a beach with a floating dock. Not sure I'd swim in there though.
Lovely park for a walk. So many dogs and usually lots of nice jam sessions. Good foods and the farmers market is terrific.
Perfect park for walking, jogging, playing sports and there's a lake in the middle
Very nice shady tree areas when the sun gets really cooking later in the day :)
Not as good since they took the docks away but still a nice and close to the city nature hangout.
Beautiful park, dog friendly, and weekly farmers market
This is a freat park to go to for a stroll. There is a dog beach for those with 4 legged friends and thete are usually quite a lot of people there with their dogs. There is also a lot of wildlife at this park and their are coyote warnings as well. The views from the south end of the park and beach are beatiful. In the summer this beach is swimmable sometimes however the lake does get closed to swimming frequently due to high fecal coliform counts. There is also a covered area for BBQs and you have to reserve space with the Parks board if you want to use it. It is a family oriented park and their are lots of children there in the summer months. It has a concession stand and washrooms as well. And a shower at the south beach. Dogs are not allowed on the south beach, especially in the summer months. Trout Lake Community Centre is also located here.
A really nice city park with lake and mountain view at the north. It's good for all season. Either you only want a quiet place to stroll around or bring your family. Good for kids too. There are a beach for swimming in summer. It's closed to the community centre with lot of parking.
great place to hang out but needs to be cleaned and maintained a bit more. the pond is filthy.
Best place to take Autumn Photos, amazing mountain view and gorgeous colorful reflections on the lake.
Spacious with plenty of room for a picnic, large or small. Quite clean as well. I love this park, been coming here since I was a kid.
Beautiful
Quiet and nice place . Good for nature loving people and if you have a pet dog, would be nice to walk with around the park.
Nice park with lake in the middle. Easy stroll around the lake and if you are dog lover but don't have one yourself, you are in it for a treat. Off leash dog park there and always many cute dogs running around.
Best off leash dog park in Vancouver. Separate parking lot and beach area for the dogs. Everyone there is very relaxed around the dogs. You will not be harassed by overly officious park employees about your dog.
Really beautiful park and lake definitely a nice place to go an relax
Good parking great place to walk the dog and an off leash area for fido.
Lovely park and community centre.
Very nice park. Good facilities. Can swim in the lake plus a little beach sandy area and 2 playgrounds on opposite ends.
I grew up about 1 mile from this park which is also where trout lake is, although all we ever caught was ugly catfish. Today they have a very popular farmer's market every Saturday from I believe 9am to 2 pm. Which goes from I think May to October. You can also bring your dog here cause there is an area for them and a lot of people bring their dogs. A lot of people swim in Trout lake in the summer but it's had problems in the past with being too dirty but i haven't heard anything lately. A great place for picnics, jogging and riding your bike !
If you wanna see fall colors, this is the best place in Vancouver.
Beautiful park.... Nice place to go with your kids (Family) and friends... calm and easy to get there on transit.
Very nice walking trails around Trout Lake with a beautiful backdrop of the North Shore Mountains. The mountains are captivating especially in the wintertime when covered with snow. Kid, family and dog-friendly park
A great place for a walk and has a solid recreation centre.
This place is great for dogs and owners, throwing the ball or swimming in the lake, meeting people with their dogs and having a nice social hour or two.
Also known as Trout Lake. Beautiful year round. Great community center with playground, soccer field, path around lake and an ice rink as well. City allows skating on lake when sufficiently frozen as well!
It's peaceful and it's relaxing. East vans hidden gem. I come to ponder often.
Most peaceful place in town
great east Vancouver park, a great "Bark" for the doggo. relatively quiet for walks in the day or night. often lots of events happening here so keep an eye out. And the farmers market in the summer time is where it's at (expect VFM to be packed here).
If you dont plan to touch the water and just want to chill on a beach or on some grass, this is as good a spot as any in vancouver.
For people, families, friends and pet friendly. Greenspace, walkways, concessions, the lake of course. Nice open space, good parking.
What a great park for picnics. Dogs are welcome.
Nice park with more space for kids to play and for a family/friends meet up
Good to visit in fall: beautiful colorful leaves, a kids friendly place!
Nice small lake to walk around and a great place to walk your dog.can be alittle crowded on the weekend.
Let's call it what it is... DOG PARK.... if you like these furry creatures you can make a lot of four legged friends here
Great park with two playground areas, lots of baseball and grass fields, a mini beach, a small concession stand, and even a gazebo area for BBQ-ing, birthdays, and other events. Lots of interesting characters can be found hanging out here. There are paths that loops around the lake for both walkers and bikers - it’s about 1 km in distance. Lots of benches located around the lake; washrooms on either side of the lake are available for public use. Also a great place to walk your dog and let him/her roam around in the off-leash areas. Park is well kept and very clean. The associated community centre was renovated a while back and has a great gym and skating rink.
I love this park. Has lots of shaded areas and space. Great spot for a picnic!
The park convenient located off Victoria drive. Closed to city Gasoline so expensive.. It's very popular in summer, June July, August, big groups of friends, family comes early till dust to have picnic or BBQ.. Some bring guitar, harmonica... Full of fun . harmony. Many shady area Our 100 member choir holds our post concert picnic here in July for last 20 years. Lots of shades. Enjoyed
Baseball diamonds, beautiful lake although more the size of a pond. Nice walking trail around the lake and with public washrooms make this is a nice place to walk the dog or do a couple loops when getting a run in.
Really great park for a picnic or bbq. Not too busy and lots of green space to sit or to play some frisbee. I'll definitely be coming back!!
For dog lovers that doesn't own one, this is the place for you.
This is a small urban park located in east Vancouver. A lot of people walk their dogs in the park.
Nice area to walk relax check out a Ball game
Park popular with runners, cyclists and dog lovers. Loved coming here with wife, sitting down, having a coffee and observing people
Its a great friendly park. Off leash dog area. Trails.
Big park with a nice lake in the middle of the park and many jogging and biking trails with a couple of playgrounds for kiddies!
Beautiful park right in the middle of east van. The new community centre is excellent. I go to use the gym 3 times a week. The equipment is well taken care of and there is always a lot of natural light coming in through the floor to extremely high ceiling windows. It's not usually too busy, even in January and February.
nice park with a lake and playgrounds, dog friendly
Great park....needs washrooms near the ball field that isnt only for kids during their games
One of the better parks in east van. Very popular with the community, but still doesn't get too crowded. Lots of activities here regularly.
Beautiful public park with attached dog park, and many other sports fields and amenities.
Great open space to let your dog off leash with out a fence
Great big park for picnics and bbq, updated playground. Please do not swim in this lake though. I've seen it listed as a place go swim in when you Google swimming lakes in Vancouver. It's disgusting, it's a breeding zone for turtles and ducks and whatever other aquatic animals people have dumped here over the years.
Trout lake Park is a good sized park with a small beach and is adjacent to the trout lake community centre. The BC parkway multi use pathway runs through the park, making it easy to access by bike, transit, walking, or some combination of those modes. There is also a parking lot if you prefer to drive. There are washrooms, playing fields, and a dog friendly section at one end of the lake. Yes the dogs can go in the water. Lots of people taking pictures in the spring and fall.
It's a awsome park kept really clean and always lots of beautiful women there. Great hang out for kids and adults
Amazing place to visit/take a stroll any day of the year. I love it!
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE TREES IN THE PARK.
Beautiful little sea side park, great for a picnic or a nice walk!
Amazing lake and park! Walk, run, play something :) Small concession now open
Great during the day, do not suggest a walk about at night as homeless people camp under the tree canopys
Always beautiful paths are well lit. Dog friendly, enjoy each visit more and more, now with the changing of the leaves it's so beautiful.
One of the largest parks in the area. Half of it is for kids and the other half is for off leash dogs, both halves have their own beaches on the lake.
My home for 12 years. Great circular trail with a massive new community center and fields. The kids playground is first class
Awesome place to chill and DRINK LEGALLY, NOTE: ONLY until 9pm!
Nice large park with a gravel path around the lake. Lots of activities to do at the community center and lots of space to let your dog run around at the designated area. The beach is closed for swimming because the lake is taken over by ducks and geese. Concession stand is not open at this time.
Beautiful autumn colors and lots of Canadian Geese meet here for regular conference. Lots of good facilities available.
Lake, 2 playgrands, little food store by the smaller playgrand, community center with cafeteria, farmers market on Saturdays, place for dogs on one side of the lake, many events going on throughout the year all that in one spot
Decent tranquil park in Vancouver with a lake. Lots of trees with plenty of shade. There's a playground area for kids, however, the equipment is mostly suited for younger kids. There is one large climbing apparatus that is suitable for older kids. Large size sand pit. Decent size off leash dog area. Swimming is prohibited in Trout lake.
Also called Trout Lake, the centerpiece is the large pond/"lake" that is regularly stocked with trout for anglers. I've managed to land some fish here in the past. There's also a nice community centre that has a gym, art studio, conference rooms and cafeteria. Outside, there's a kid's playground and a section for dogs. Something for everyone.
Love the park. I enjoyed walking around the park and trying out all the different food trucks around the park.
Best park in East Van. Great place to hang out with family and friends!
