This Park belongs to the category of Park.
My favourite stretch of sanded beach in Vancouver. The views are expansive and serene. Access by transit simple, and for cars ample parking.
Great family beach, all ages. Lots of space. Beautiful Parks. Tide goes way out during summer days making for interesting walks.
Perfect place to meditate. ☺️
Beautiful view of the mountain. Good place for family hangout or just for a walk.
Great beach to hang out and swim, enjoy the park or paddle / sail at Jericho Sailing Centre. Awesome deck for a sunset beer!
So nice down there, certainly a friends and family beach - a lot of water sports and food down there so no shortage of activities.
We stopped at the Jericho Sailing Center. We had a couple of beers and fish and chips. They were reasonably priced. The only place to leave our puppy was outside the fence line. Which is ok but it would be nice if they hasn't had a designated area for keeping our pets and maybe a water bucket for them.
Great family fun with designated drinking area
I walked 60,000 steps to get here. It took me 11 hours. It was the best beach I've ever been to! There was a circular picnic table with an umbrella for shade. 10/10 would sit again.
A perfect place to relax and make a party. We went biking. Great time.
Beautiful scenery and a great place to go crabbing. It's also just a nice beach.
One of my favourite places. Jericho sailing centre is here with lots of sailing and water sports. The beach is fantastic for taking the family volleyball or picnics. There is a section that is dog friendly. Also a fantastic bike path.
There is a lifeguard station but best lifeguards at some point of the excessive tide. Own family-pleasant and a nice little snack bar. This park is stunning and scenic, whimsical in the rain or sunlight, and splendid to stroll, run, or swim in any season of the 12 months. Vancouver's English Bay, sailboats, tankers, mountains and perspectives of the impressive north shore can be visible from this picturesque beachfront park. Free avenue parking is restricted but available. Lots of humans bike, jog and stroll right here so it is pretty popular. Beach closes at 10 pm.
Relax beach ....good view and not so crowded
Fun times in summer for sports and swimming including stand up paddle boarding.
Lovely beach with clear water. Gets shallow quickly.
It's great outside on the patio, not so much inside. Food is standard fair but it's the view that makes me come back.
very big place to enjoy the beach and lots of sites doing your picnic .
Full of pokemon players looking for charmanders. Great fun meeting random people. There's one building that smells like pee all the time near the trail that leads to Locarno beach and that's where a koffing spawns. Watch out for geese poop, and look for wild bunnies!
Huge beach..easily able to be socially distant. When the tide is low..its pretty rocky at the water. There's a good concession. Nice views as well. Beautiful at sunset. It can be a long, sandy walk from the car to the beachfront.
Wide, spacious with lots of benches and shady trees. Perfect for an afternoon walk or an all-day weekend BBQ.
This Jericho beach is always busy in the summer, but especially in mid-July when it’s the venue for Vancouver’s very popular Folk Music Festival. Now post pandemic, i look forward to this lovely gathering come July
Ok beach. Lots of space if you want to be away from folks even on a busy day. Lots of tiny sharps near the water so make sure to get water shoes.
Cute bunnies running around! Only one seal looking for handouts. Cute! Clean sand.
Jericho is one of the best locations in Vancouver in my opinion. It's extremely relaxing, there are proper paths for bikes and pedestrians and the beach is incredible. They have kyak shops, restaurant and a dock for fishing. The views are incredible and there are washrooms and picnic tables. Would highly recommend Jericho for a family day.
Easily one of best beaches in Vancouver. Beautiful view on Vancouver downtown skyline and the mountains. Lots of activities including beach volleyball, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing..etc
One of the best beaches in Canada. Even the the waves are not that big or even at all. But the setting of trees and the walk was amazing
Such a great spot to spend the day, social distancing was observed by all. Can't wait to go back.
An insane view on Vancouver city! Beautiful place to walk as long as you want!
Special spot to enjoy the water and see sunsets! Usually pretty busy, but everyone is friendly. Bike trails, beach area, park area for picnics, and benches. Kombucha on tap at the concession! Vegan gelato available too! More toilets needed.
Parking is not great if you are bringing a BBQ. Biking here is pleasant.
I absolutely love the park and the beach. The water is warm on hot summer days and I swim a lot here. You need water shoes due to lots of pebbles there.
Well...it's a beach...but one of the less visited beaches in Vancouver...but it's a really beautiful crescent, with a great view of the mountains and Vancouver's downtown and Stanley Park. Right now I'm watching a Heron patiently waiting to feed at the water's edge.
3 stars only because pay parking is a almost $5/hr by the sailing and paddle boarding area.
Weather was perfect for a dip in the water. It's relatively clean but for dog poop, broken bottles on the beach and litter bugs.
A really great place for hanging out with friends, wind-surfing, and doing BBQs! The grass fields are terrible for ultimate though. It is basically a sand pit with a bunch of pot holes.
summer time if you are in Vancouver and you do like spend time by the beach . Vancouver has it. in this beach is da best bra, in here you can do , sat read book or enjoy the heat sun kiss you skin or picnic with family and bring you next door dog if you do not have any. water sports you choose. you can google it LOL. but i choose skim boarding. in this pic i met new friend my shrimp skim boarding with me all day.
Beautiful with Jericho Sailing Centre a good place for sailing, sailing lessons, a bite to eat or to use the facilities. There is a kayak business as well as windsurfing and paddle board.
This whole stretch is simply the definition of vancouver warmth.
Every day a different prospective with different colour and landscape, with the most beautiful sunset ever seen in my life
Great as a place for a nice walk. The shore and the near by forest in the spirit park makes it ideal for some relaxation. The beach is very nice on a warm day and the downtown shore line is visible at night for a nice night photography spot. There's plenty of space and it's usually not extremely busy.
A lovely place to stretch out. Swim, play Volleyball, BBQ.
Did the provincial cross country race, not good weather and too muddy, but pretty fun. I like the view of the downtown there anyways, maybe a great place for summer vacation. Hope to go there next summer as I haven’t been there in summer yet.
What to go for a walk and hang out with your friends and family? New to Vancouver? Anyway, you have to see this beach! Its beautiful, wide, sandy beach with all the incredible wild nature Canda has to offer! Plus, you will get your cardio in by walking on the sand ????
What a site. What sights. I've been coming to this park for over 20 years, and have not fallen out of love with it. Love chasing the rabbits, and playing that game with the kids, You catch it, I cook it. Great fun. Until a kid gets bit, and has to get shots. That ruins the day. But, we get back in the saddle, and try again, 20 years!
The park that the locals go. Picnic, bbq, biking, sand. It could get busy on fine days.
Great place for a walk, run or bike ride. Beautiful scenery and friendly people
Perfect place for chilling and having BBQ by the water in summer.
A fantastic and exclusive park for the residents of Point Grey to enjoy. Free for locals; everyone else should ride their bikes or pay park.
A little rocky near the shore but the sand feels great afterwards
Its one of my favourite beaches ♥❤❤ in Vancouver.
It is a beautiful park to come and visit but of you are planning on visiting with your dogs and taking them for a walk. Their is a lot of dogs off leash where they shouldn't be so if you have a dog aggressive dog this would not be the place for you to go.
I consider this to be the park with the greatest amount of verity in an outdoor space in the city. Lovely big green fields for picnics, sports and dog walking. Woodland with bike trails to explore and a pond teeming with wildlife. An amazing beach with some absolutely stunning views of the water and mointains, especially from the boating club and peir.
I really love Jericho beach. I went there to run provincial Cross country and it was gorgeous, a family favourite.
Nice park, wide trails, good beach with volleyball courts available. Was a good day out.
One of my favorite summer Sandy beaches in Vancouver. There's a cafeteria, lots of parking around, public washrooms. Plenty of space to roam and play outdoor games. The view of mountains is also spectacular.
Awesome beach to rent a sailing boat and very nice place to view the mountains and the sunset
Excellent sunsets. Great picnic tables on a pond were nice
My favourite beach in Vancouver because of the Jericho sailing centre and pier!????
good place to walk around or jog, wouldn't go to the beach though
Great place to drink #yerbamate!
One of the most beautiful beaches
Big beach, beautiful views... too bad about the silty Fraser River runoff creating murky water and muddy mud.
Beautiful park
Do you like to hangout in grass beside a beach? Then this is perfect for you.
In the summer time is the best place to hang out and relax after work! No smoking and drinking allowed(makes no sense) police is checking for that very often....
Very nice place, the is minimal shade on the beach though.
Nicest beach stop for families in Vancouver.
Love this beach. A lot of locals and fires going on at night. Beautiful spot to catch the sunset. Water is slightly cleaner here to. Also, all amenities available.
Wide open grassy spaces, trees for slacklines and a vista spanning the north shore mountains and downtown. Jericho also boasts a pretty nice beach.
Beautiful beach, quiet and not crowded, great place for a walk
great sand beach beautiful view, pretty busy
A bit wet, but it's nice to be outside
Jericho park is great, it has everything. There's the beach with its beautiful unique view to the mountains, that is to die for. you can play volleyball at the beach, there are poles for you to put the net, and don't forget your ball. Also you can see bunnies all around the park they're beautiful! There's also some walking and bike trails, there are tennis courts, literally you could do any sport close. I love it!
Beautiful park with seating, trees, Sandy beaches, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, etc... so much going on!
Nice walk and one of the better views of the city.
Love this beach! Pretty views of Vancouver and the mountains, sandy beach, and an awesome concession stand with snacks, frozen fruit bars, and locally made kombucha.
I liked this beach so much because it was beautiful, calm and not crowded and the water was not too deep, good for swimming. A bit far from the city though. it's agood getaway for weekends.
Small but with great views
Beautiful place. So well kept. Would be a stunning view if all the tankers weren't in port. Lots of great bike trails. Parking is costly though. ????????
Beautiful views of Vancouver and surrounding mountains. Sandy beach and friendly rabbits in the brush (mostly blackberries).
My favourite beach in Vancouver. Much more relaxed and family oriented than Kits. Lots of beach, grass, and forest.
Best beach ever and fantastic views of the city and mountains. Also great for running, lots of trails to explore ????
Very nice place to enjoy a beach walk. Wonderful views!
Really great for runs and bike rides, and when it snows, skiing. Incredible view of downtown and Vancouver waterfront. Divided paths for bikes and pedestrians. During the summer, food is available at snack shacks near the beach and an ice cream van visits regularly. Dogs must be leashed because of the ducks and rabbits that live nearby.
"Jerry's Cove" (the original name) is a great place for people, dogs and birds. Lots to see and do- great way to greet the morning.
The Folk Festival is not what it used to be. Tents everywhere, mostly taking up all the shade provided by trees (!?). People’s strollers, wagons, electric carts, and chairs blocking views, people not giving you on inch around your blanket then putting their feet on your blanket. People carry more gear for one child than people in the past (and in other countries) carry for 5. The sound for Sam Roberts was bad.
Lovely place to walk along the ocean or picnic or what boat and a sunset
best beach in Vancouver in my opinion. Has a park right by the beach so you can set your area up and still be close to the water without the sand.
Wow fantastic not crowded. After swimming the park is very near . You can play . The shower is not far. We enjoyed so much
Go for the beach but stay for the bunnies! No seriously, there are real rabbits just hanging out there...
Beach is clean. Various areas for picnic. Finding free parking can be difficult at times. Pay parking across the street.
Vancouver folk music festival. Amazingly organized event. Great weather, lots of music, and top of off with glorious sunshine.
Best yacht club which has a great community feel and a restaurant with a fabulous balcony for after sunning/funning lounging. Good place to rent kayaks and boards. Beach is not crowded and pier is nice too.
Perfect place for a picnic, a swim, or some sun bathing. BBQ stands, bathrooms and bike paths make this an accessible and fun beach destination. Ohhhh have you seen the bunnies? The beach bunnies at Jericho are the cutest ;)
Very nice beach with views of sailboats, city skyline, and snow capped mountains. A great place to stop and take a scenic break when in Vancouver.
This is one of the best spots in the city for playing in the sand and swimming. Highly recommend the west part of the beach that has a protected cove sheltered from the swell and the wind.
This is one of beautiful beach ???? love the scenes as they are many shells over the edge of beach
Nice family friendly beach with lots of space in the sand and on grass for sports, BBQ and there's a food kiosk nearby and a restaurant which is quite nice if you wanna go there light. Not the best beach to swim in but great for paddle boarding and kayaking.
Beautiful beach. If you hve a dog be careful lots of rabbits. Crabbing is great here but gets crowded real fast
A large beach with a great view of Vancouver and the mountains that you'll always find room on for you and your group/family.
The water was dirty, we didn’t have the courage to swim in there =\ Parking is paid
great place to chill, even better if you're into birding photography
Accessible beach & park for lounging, reading, bbqs. Great views of the mountains overlooking the oceans.
Excellent beautiful beach. It has lot of wooden planks to sit on, if you wanted that. There is a decent shade area slightly away from the beach as well. Well maintained, calm waters and restroom access. Its away from the city, so less crowd. There is also Jericho beach park next to it if thats your thing. Overall a wonderful summer destination and an awesome natural scenic beach to visit.
Beautiful beach. Well maintained
Awesome summer spot! Picnic tables on the grass. Usually very popular so you need to get there early some days to get one! Logs on the beach to sit on and enjoy the beautiful view. Jericho is one of our favourites!
The beach will always get my 5 stars, but not on this day with smoke blown in north from coastal states', Vancouver's WORST air quality days
Gorgeous beach with stunning views. Logs set out beautifully for seating.
Very nice view of the water, not super busy but hard to find parking. Large grassy areas
Hands down one of the best parks in Vancouver (the world) for walking, swimming, playing, picnics and hanging out. Amazing views (and rabbits).
Huge beach with an expansive grassy park area for picnics. Lots of spots on the sand even at its busiest. Beautiful views of the mountains and ships. Roped off swimming area with a platform. Concession available with unique fare and vegan ice cream. Bathrooms and outdoor taps to rinse sandy feet. Definitely a favourite, though not super transit accessible. Expensive parking.
Love this park, it has big green fields and narrow trails which lead to the surrounding area. You'll see lots of wild flowers during summer and many many bunnies. it has a very nice beach which is usually less crowded and quieter than other beaches in Vancouver.
Great beach & wooded park area. Basic upstairs eatery at boating centre. Crabbing off the pier. Pay parking during spring- fall season.
I've had some good times here when i lived in the neighborhood. My dog loved to chase them rabbits. If you see someone on a atv driving around make sure your dog is on leash, your beverage is not alcoholic or atleast put away and you aren't having a fire cause those people driving them are park cops and they hand out heffty fines if you're gonna pay them. All in all its a fun park with lots to do for everyone in the family. "Hay rabbits! my dog will see you again"
Sunny day???? lovely beach with views.
A very nice area to spend a day. Help everyone around you have a better time by removing any garbage you bring in.
My favourite beach in Vancouver! Nice and typically not too busy!
Park is nice and big with amenities for all your summer sports (baseball field, tennis courts, soccer nets, etc)
Great beach, nice view, excellent choice to spend a summer day
Beautiful beach and lots of sand, sun and surf. Don't eat the jelly fish though, they aren't ripe yet.
Beautiful park in a beautiful city
Beautiful waterside park with incredible city and mountain views.
A great beach, good place to swim, sun tan, play volleyball, etc
One of Vancouver's amazing public beaches and park. Whether it is hanging out at the beach, having a picnic, it attending an event it is always fun. Good all four season's too.
I liked the logs lined up on the beach, in an amphitheater style to stare at the water, ships and distant city scape. Also, I liked that it is possible to ride a bike all the way through this park to continue on the beach trail.
Clean and family oriented area; needs more European style beach arrangements; washrooms need an upgrade
Beautiful beach park, well kept and even when it is busy it never feels crowded. Great place for a morning run along the beach or dog walk as the paths are so wide so you never have to dart between people. Cute duck pond to relax by too that is home to a great blue heron.
As a first time on the beach in a year, it was such a pleasure to walk and enjoy this beach park.
Jericho Beach park is a magical place on an unbusy day
Competed in a cross country race here. A very fun venue that was super pretty, even though it was very muddy (this was in mid fall). Highly recommend:)
Beautiful place for the folk festival or to just walk seaside and enjoy the outstanding view!
Beautiful location, even on an overcast day. Wish there weren't so many tanker ships out in the water.
A great urban park with access points on all borders and connected to the beach around English Bay. Skip the east pay parking lot-there is plenty of free parking along West 4th Avenue. On the perimeter you can hear the traffic but once inside it is pretty quiet. It has a large central path, and well worn and less travelled trails. Many parts make you feel like you are not in the city. There are various flat spaces in the trails where you can sit on the grass and relax, some enclosed by tress, others more open. On the southern side it connects to the beach and great views of the bay, West Vancouver, and downtown. Around the pond the trails lead back inside. Daniel
Perfect place for photos!
Beautiful beach and bunnies!
I would not recommend right now. Too many people, and sometimes not respecting the social distance rule.
I’m so grateful for the superb park maintenance of Vancouver Park Board! It’s so clean and so enjoyable! Thank you ????
Used to have a lot more animals. Too manicured these days. Even the clean up to introduce native species of plans is doing more damage than good.
Wild rabbits you can feed! Loved it when i was a kid and still love it now. You can bike from downtown on path!
Awesome view of the city and sunset! Nice place to relax for an afternoon
One of the best beaches in the Vancouver area. So much space, restrooms on site and food and drinks are available. Ample parking as well
This is a great beach. Perfect view of the mountains and lots of open space to play especially when it is low tide. There is a life guard station but only life guards during high tide. Family friendly and a nice little snack bar. There are also restrooms with changing area and showers outside to rinse off. Lots of friendly people here as well. Go and put your feet up and enjoy the sound of those crashing waves!!!
One of the best place for walk, cycling, photos.
Great beach to go to. Ran the 5k race there. Great place to sail and run!
Went on a Sunday. First time there. Wasn't too crowded and it was beautiful.
Beautiful scenery!
Nice relaxing place ????has a small picnic spot too
I love Jericho! Great quiet beach and beautiful park surrounding. We'll always see rabbits in the park, which is a lot of fun. Great place to watch sunset set on the city.
Beautiful scenery. Hope people would be more diligent about cleaning after themselves. A bit of rubbish. It used to be cleaner.
Fun and relaxing
Popular, busy beach area, includes wooded area. Athletic fields, boating centre & large hostel adjacent. Expensive pay parking.
This beach is awesome! Lovely view of the bay for ship watching and plenty of well kept trails to get some exercise in. The park was full of wildlife to see and kept very clean. A great spot to have lunch or walk on the beach if you are visiting Vancouver. Also has great views of the city and mountains!
It was nice coming here being as it was my first time in Vancouver and had bever seen the ocean as i am Saskatchewan born native to the flat lands. Its right by a country club and can hear them alot but other than that its nice place to hang.
Well maintained beach and play area. A nice spot for families or couples
Nice beach. Lots of volleyball being played. Good spot for sunsets.
It's a beach and a park, what more do you need? Plenty of shady napping spots and sundrenched sand, whatever takes your fancy.
Great park close to the ocean and lots of open space with bathrooms nearby to boot!
Great beach to spend an afternoon. Not only the beach but there is also a treed area to explore. Vancouver Folk Music Festival is there every mid July as well. Excellent way to spend 3 days on the beach listening to great music.
Always a really awsome place to chilled sit outside balcony. Rugby season too I been always there for more than 20 plus years ...for rugby with my kids
Nice park to go for a walk, ride a bike, watch seals or just spend a good time.
Amazing calm and serene beach to enjoy... soothing for evening strolls.. also perfect for weekend or holiday picnics with family. Very close to w4th avenue and alma st. Easily accessible by transit and walk.
Great beach and awesome concession
Lovely place...but not suitable for beach walk...there are too many broken shells in sand...
Nice sandy beach. Great for families with small children since the tide is very low. Restroom ???? within walking distance ????
There's so much to enjoy here. Lots of wild bunnies in and around the scattered bushes, great place to walk or leisurely cycle through, the Jericho sailing club is close but and there's a charming Cafe that overlooks the water, mountains & sail boats. Atop of all this, there's always lots of amazing snap worthy views whether of the sunsets to the west or Vancouver looking east of Jericho.
Beautiful place. Nice walking trails and views of the water and city.
Despite it was a windy and cloudy day, the water did no seem very clean, either the sand... I honestly did not enjoy it. We were there in the beginning of August, maybe another time?!
Always a lovely walk and nice beach.
Children love the bunny here
What a place to enjoy a beautiful Sunset in Summer. A big ground by the beach to have party and Barbecue. You can swim, play and party at this place. My Kids loved this place spent whole day with family. Right in the city with many attractions at just walking distance or a small drive. A must go place with family.
The park was very beautiful, spacious, and clean. We met a group of us there to do circle belly dancing. It was great weather, and the pictures we had there was great. Later on we went to the beach to watch the sunset. What a view. So lucky to such a beautiful place like Jericho beach and park to visit and to enjoy the scenery.
Great beach! Renting a paddleboard is a great time for anybody. The water is always super refreshing and there's lots of space on the beach.
Great place for a run, to bring kids and see the natural beauty of the city.
Beautiful beach to chill and relax. Fun place for kids, family and dogs!!! I just wish people would clean up after themselves and not leave garbage out. ????????
During winter can be cold and swampy, but is quiet and perfect spot to walk dogs. Very few free parking space though
Great beach. Amazing views. Lifeguard is amost always there. Swimming is terrific.
Vancouver Folk festival usually happens there...and so as other events. I havn't tried the water, but it is definetly the beach with the best city view, just go there and look towards downtown and u'll understand what i mean.
Great beach with lots of space!
This beach is great. Head down the pier for a great view of downtown, or the sunset.
Lovely views. Clean. Easy to space out. Breathtaking mountain backdrop!! Lots of Aviaries and special land for nature. Songbirds galore.
If there’s a more beautiful place to visit in Vancouver I’d like to hear about it. The seaside views of the local mountains and cityscapes are possibly unparalleled. Grab your portable BBQ and make a day of it.
Beautiful park! Very peaceful, except the construction going on currently. I wasn't sure if I could swim there since no one else was, but I'd highly recommend walking around there and basking in the sun while you have the time.
Great beach with great views of the mountains.
Gorgeous scenery, peaceful and convenient
Great Beach, not as busy as kits. Lots of space and very quiet. Water seems cleaner as well.
Great running park
Great family environment with life guard, washrooms, concession, sandy beach, and a beautiful park with duck ponds, trails, and grassy field. LOVE!
Great experience here! It had sand and water, and the sun was out, no complaints as far as beaches go!
Nice wide aisles, it's an older store but they do a nice job keeping it clean and bright.
It's peaceful, clean and safe. Love coming here to unwind or pass the day!
great place to park if you wanna stop and look at the ocean
A calm place to enjoy with your friends and your family
Some people in the park tried to police how others could enjoy it. Otherwise a lovely time
The Vancouver Lookout tower was located right in front of the hotel we were staying at so we decided to check it out. They do charge $18 for admission. Basically you take the elevator all the way up to the sky deck which looks like at least 40 floors. We were there for the night view of Vancouver. For a first timer, you will be able to capture beautiful photos from every angle. The windows are squeaky clean so your photos look flawless. No problem with the glare or shadow. The lookout has a 360 degree vantage point. It's worth stopping here to see this beautiful city at the highest peak. At the bottom, it looks ordinary but once you're up there, everything looks 10x better!
Packed in the summer, but the rest of the year is virtually empty. Beautiful views and a great place to go for a walk.
So beautiful sunny and warm
Very nice beach, lots to see and even a food vendor
Beautiful beach. You can see some black little rabbits in the grass...
A lovely calm beach for all beach lovers. Perfect place for water sports and activities such as wind surfing. Or enjoy your sun bath with some swimming or just walking around.
It's one of the nicest beaches in Vancouver with hiking trails & lots of little nooks to sit in & relax.
Gorgeous view of the city and north shore mountains from here. Lovely beach in the city!
beautiful place to hang out very vibrant
Beautiful as always. Lots of room and choices to sit for a bit
fantstic beach, great view. verything is prefect only the water is too cold, even in July summer.
Great place to have a good time in the nature
Lots of park benches for barbecues.beachbis nice but small. Get busy in the summer fast
First time of my life that I see bunnies on a beach.
One of my favorite family-folksy feel beaches in Vancouver. I have a lot of great memories at this beach. Love the half-moon bay shape, the small bay that is close to the sailing club, and surrounding park. Definitely one of Vancouver's many gems.
Great place to go with the fam for a picnic and take in some sun on the beach.
Unique views of English Bay, the ships and British Properties. Nice sandy beach, awesome all around
Seeing wild bunnies here just made my day.
Spent some time sailing near the park and it looked like a popular place to hang out!
Beautiful park, much bigger and less crowded than English bay or kits beach.
Very nice place to spend time. Concession stand is right next to the beach,.
Best beach ever for enthusiastic sailors. . . Also nice patio grill place to have beer and a juicy Hamburger & watch sailors worshipping the wind . . . . . (Take your binocular and a good camera . . . Downtown Vancouver is the center piece ????)
Originally a golf course before WW II , the military took over these lands to establish a base. In 1971 the community fought the city to prevent the construction of a roadway which would have ruined this rare piece of waterfront acreage . Now it is a jewell in crown of world class public parks and host to many activities including the annual Jericho Beach Folk Festival
Favourite park/ beach in the lower mainland. I have been going there for over 40 years. It has everything from sandy beaches to a duck pond to trails and more. I highly recommend that you spend some time there during all the seasons.
Favorite place for running, long walks, or just to hang out with friends.
Lots of history in the name and this place has a fair amount itself regarding the history of Vancouver. It was an airforce float plane base long ago. Anyway lots of great things regarding this area even if it does face north.
Great little beach. Not too crowded but parking can be tight.
Clean, quiet, beautiful scenery
It´s a beautiful place to spend time with family and having fun. The wildlife is very active. For people who are looking for a quite and awesome landscape, you will find on Jericho Beach Park.
Jericho Beach is my favorite place very good northvancouvers view mostly night time looks very good
Great place to go for all types of water sports.
Places like these make me so grateful to live in Vancouver. Perfect views, and so lush and green. Spent an afternoon lying in the sun, catching up on some books. That being said, some people need to learn how to social distance here...
Nice park. Fun beach-side trails and lots of nice sitting areas. Lots of geese around, so inevitably there is a lot of geese poo around too.
A must visit with views to view for
Great spot for a polar bear swim.
A go to place if you like to relax by the beach! Biking and walking are some of the activities you can do there.
Beautiful park on the water, with awesome mountain and ocean views. This is the site of the annual Vancouver Folk Festival.
A very nice place, I really recommend to visit this park a lot.
Big enough to gather with friends.... Beautiful scenery and eye-catching sunset.
A quieter beach than Kits or any of the Stanley ones.
Nice and not so crowded
One of the most beautiful beaches in Vancouver! Lots of grassy areas for a picnic and steps away from the nice sandy beach. Lots of friendly rabbits running around.
it was a fun a clean place for swimming and sun bathing.
Pretty, easy beach. Docked one point off becauze i was heavily bitten by mosquitos
Great place for kayaking and sailing. Ample paid parking at kayak center. Good service. Great staff. The patio and pub are nice to hang out in the summers. Pub is a bit expensive but good food. Good beer variety. Sweet potato fries are a must try!
A lovely place by the ocean with wall and bike paths and picnic tables.
It was nighttime. We lit fire works. Weird lights. Clouds dumped liquid on us, found a shatter pen.le fin.
Very nice place to see Vancouver Downtown. And so many people cooling and talking...
Enjoy the inner trails of the park. They are quieter, have less bicycles and encompass some of the parks ecology.
Vancouver's least crowded beach, Jericho has it all. Ample green space for all the sports, sandy beach, BBQ pits and volleyball courts. Also home to Vancouver's Folk Fest. Make sure you pour your boozy drinks into an inconspicuous cup if you want to avoid a fine.
It's no secret Jericho is always a nice place to visit , the warf too by the rowing club. Rain or Shine. :)
This is one of the best beaches in the Vancouver area. It's a long beach with plenty of space. It can get windy, so be prepared for that. The ocean here is cool, and while it is perfectly swimmable, be aware that it can be a bit rocky on and under the shoreline. There is a strong current if you go out too far, but as long as kids aren't going out over their shoulders and are properly supervised there won't be any issues. This is part of a long continuous stretch of waterfront that runs from Kit's beach all the way out to Spanish Banks.
The Jericho sailing club, in early evening is a great place for relaxed, pre-sunset burgers and beer. Great views
Jericho Beach Views has parking along Point Grey Road and parking near the Jericho Beach Concession site..there are easy walking trails from this site all the way to Locarno Beach Park..walking toward the Jericho Sailing Centre has multiple benches and beach access spots from the main easy walkable trail..spectacular viewing of English Bay and the North Shore is easily available...walking from Jericho Park to Jericho Beach is a very easy stroll
Nice path to follow and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views ....even on a rainy day. Nice sand for kids to play and bathroom facilities available.
What a hidden gem. I have lived in Vancouver a very long time and never visited here before. A clean and well kept park with lots of open space, trees and spectacular views. Very peaceful.
Jericho Beach Park is a great place to spend the day and take a swim in the sea. Nice beach with good facilities: changing room, washroom, shower, food places, etc.
Amazing beach. Just take your bike and explore it. You will not regret.
One of the best spots to be in the summer in Vancouver. Great place to relax, or to play games. Swimming is great here as well.
Excellent place for social distancing. Nature trails, grassy areas, and beaches makes it a great place to relax, exercise and soak up the sun.
One of my fave beaches in Vancouver/lower mainland. Serene ,tranquil and love the ocean nature here. Also love the wild rabbits. So cute
During the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, this is a great place to go swimming while listening to magnificent music! Love this place
Great place to walk and ride your bike. Sandy beach with a food stand available in the summer. Down side is dogs can't go on the beach, only in the park
More of a relax and family vibe compare to kits
There are a lot of Wooden tables perfect for a BBQ party,, if your'e planing a party here it'll be perfect considering there is a washroom, a sprinkler to wash you off, garbage bins, and many places to explore since it's also a park.
The view is awesome. The park itself is nice too, really good place for a picnic. The only complaint would be the parking. This is a popular spot and finding parking spot is a bit of a hassle
Great view!
This is like a five star hotel of all the parks :) Plenty of space beautiful scenery.. beach.. greenfields.. tall trees.. trails.. wildlife.. restaurants.. best place to spend a Day with your friends and family!! Just loved it !!
There is a beautiful rainbow right there on the top of ships . You can set your picknic table on the seashore and enjoy your spare time by swimming and suntanning.
Cool day not a lot of people was very peaceful and actually found free parking. A little hard to find it the first time.
Great place to swim, picnic, relax on a summer day in Vancouver.
Very beautiful!! It is a piece of heaven. Intact and quiet atmosphere ????????
There are beach and wooded areas for outdoor activities.
Nice place to go fishing, crabbing, walking spectacular view etc. ❤????
Beach, grassy area, concession and a pond. Jericho has a lot to offer. We usually go to Locarno or Spanish Banks, so Jericho is a nice change and the walking areas around the pond are nice.
Spacious Sandy beach with North Shore mountain and city views. Food shack, washrooms and a restaurant nearby. Parking expensive considering it's not a commercial area.
I went during a nice time it wasnt rush hour so I'm not sure how bad it can get. But otherwise very nice and peaceful place to relax and enjoy the sun. Due to the direction of the beach the sun doesnt set right in front of you face so you can still enjoy looking at the water. There is a small cafe to get food, which is pretty okay and there ice cream and slushies and my favorite Mini Donuts ????...definitely a place to escape your daily routine for a bit. There is ample parking too but a bit on the expensive side like $3.15 for 1 hour.
Great park, with a forested area, marshland/pond, an OK beach and a lot of grass area for a picnic. You'll see some rabbits if you walk towards the Jericho sailing centre or can catch a charmeder.
I love Jericho beach and park. It is always a nice place to visit.it is especially nice when sunny and warm. Go before 4 and you'll be rewarded with a nearly empty beach. Lboth Jericho and Spanish banks beaches allow one to walk nearly a km out onto the bank during low tide. Jericho sailing club is not far from the beach so you can always find small craft sailing around. On some weekends, regattas rake place and they are fun to watch. Both Jericho and Spanish banks beaches can get quite busy and crowded on weekends. There are picnic tables, park benches and three concession sends open during summer months, spread out between Jericho and Spanish Banks. Nice place to picnic.beautiful views of the bay and the mountains of west vancouver.
Great beach, nice spot to watch the sunset!
It's hard not to love this place, really. Just make sure you work out a place to leave your valuables while you go for a swim. The yacht club seems to rent out cubbies if you bring your own padlock.
A lovely park transformed from a World War II seaplane base. Great city views and a large pond with many wild birds. Site of the Vancouver folk festival every summer.
Nice beach.. Can be very busy on weekends.
Great place to hang with family and friends, although the food vendor is not open.
Had a concert... was amazing
one of my favorite place to lay under the sun and relax while enjoying the cool scenic view of the water in the horizon
Good view. Easily accessible from downtown Vancouver direct from Burrard Bridge and Point Grey bicycle paths.
This beach was by far our favorite in Vancouver. The sand was incredibly soft beneath your feet and no debris to be found. Not your typical beach front, lots of sail boats and wind surfers but we really enjoyed combing the beaches and sitting with our feet in the sand.
One of the nicest beaches of Vancouver. It's closer to Vancouver than Spanish banks and more remote than Kitsilano. I always prefer this beach over Kitsilano as it's less overrun, especially on hot days.
Jericho is a beautiful beach with large green areas and Many picnic tables to enjoy the Sun. The picnic area is littered with large adult trees creating great shady spaces where you can lay out blankets.
Great park. Nice beach.
I love it
It's a good beach
This is a gorgeous Sandy Beach with lots of room, life guards, and is an excellent open water swimming beach.
Amazing views!
Great park with sandy beach and view of English Bay and downtown. There is also a couple of ponds with trails in forested area. As well, there is playing fields, tennis courts, a fishing wharf, washrooms, cafe and a playground. Good place for picnic on sunny day. There is paid parking lot. There is also a the Jericho sailing centre with restaurant open to the public.
Soft sand great for sand castles and digging for kids, beautiful view, lots of space on a Friday evenings. Women's bathrooms are gross so use with caution. Parking uses impark which requires a credit card.
Quiet, beautiful views of the city. The water is okay, the beach is a bit spikey with broken shells and rocks near the ocean, but the sand in the beach is soft and clean. Excellently maintained Beach. And so peaceful. The park is lovely, nice grass and plenty of room to go and do what you want. And during peak summer months they have concession. Easy to get to and so nice
Love this beach in kitsilano! Not to crowded and always parking near by. It's also east to access.
Lots of beach, good social distancing great fun for the whole family, snackbar too.
Very nice place to go kayaking, employees are nice and they have their own change room and everything.
Fantastic beach, not as crowded as Kits but not as fun a crowd. The silly ATV cops and the no drinking or smoking rules are the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review.
Jericho Beach doesn't only include the beautiful beach itself but numerous trails, several small ponds and other facilities such as sports courts. You can also discover many ducks, geese and rabbits here.
I was here couple times during the night for northern light and Neowise. A beautiful beach can see the whole view of North Vancouver.
If you have free times, drink coffee and sight seeing on second floor, it is a great place to enjoy your life.
Beach not crowded and water is not clean enough to swim
Super dirty water and not many people
Nice place to swim. The water is very clean. Perfect for summer beach ???? time.
It was spacious and quiet park Convenient washroom location
Come here to kayaking around the area. Nice beach, parking (paid) and park to walk around.
Amazing views, good food, and friendly service!
Beautiful beach, must see during summer days.
Pretty good beach, just watch out for the time traveling undercover policeman guitar playing ghost. Cute bunnys. 14/10. Good floof-loafs.
Great place to hang out with friends and family!
Best spot to enjoy the sailing boats, crab fishermen and a view.
Lots of sun on Saturday morning...but tge frost has arrived and lingers in the shade, reminding us that scraping windshields is soon to be a thing again!
Great beach to spend the day. There is a small 'safe zone' with lifeguard and small barg for swimmers. Washrooms, water station to clean off, and concession stand. Limited free street parking or pay lot.
Idyllically peaceful, spacious, open park & beach lands.. patrons are pretty much respectful and responsible..
Not good for swimming, but still a good option to spend time in a sunny day!
Great park with awesome views. Out of so many beaches in Vancouver this is the most family friendly as its quieter than other beaches. Certainly go there for sunset, its a gorgeous scene.
Lots of free space and shade nearby. Wide, sandy beach. Decent concession and reasonably nice bathrooms.
Great place, quieter than main beaches just down the road.
Free parking from Oct to Apr.
An idyllic day makes for a very satisfying walk along the beach, or a track through the bush. Take your pick. Perfect view of ships in the harbour, backdropped by the snowcapped North Shore mountains.
This is a good place where you can enjoy the ocean view, downtown buildings and of cause, cute bunnies. ????
The thing about the beach is, there is a lot of sand
Excellent Music Festival ???? ???? I recommend this Festival to anyone every year. Lots of different music, people and all under the same fantastic sun ????????EHHHH?!
Beautiful sandy beach located in a picturesque neighbourhood, and next to the ritzy Jericho Yacht Club and Brock House. Amenities are ample with an outdoor shower, washrooms, changing rooms, lifeguards on duty, a concession stand, and …
One of the best beaches in Vancouver
Nice park to walk around.
Boats get really close to the beach, but otherwise very nice
What a great place to just relax and take in both the sandy beaches, the water and that great Vancouver skyline.
Beautiful beach walk that ends in an off leash dog park. One of the best in all of Vancouver. Go when the tide is out to have a vast area of uncovered sand to walk out on and have the pups play around in. A great time for a single person on the weekday evening or for the whole family on a Sunday pic-nic.
Great beach. Went on a sunny Saturday and was surprisingly not crowded. Sandy terrain, but dry sand (not good for building). A variety of folk: families, 20-somethings, elderly couples. Welcoming for everyone and not signs of public drinking. Has a consession stand and washrooms & changerooms.
Beautiful Park with lots of birds and wildlife
Great beach in Vancouver! It's sandy and has good views.
If you want a nice beach that has a good sized grass park near it, concession, and public washrooms, this is a great place. Has gorgeous views of the mountains and is a great place to come and watch a beautiful summer sunset!
Great ocean beach park.
Great spots for BBQ. Excellent place for water sports and just to hangout in general in summer.
There are 4 tennis courts. The two North ones are newly painted and the two southern courts are in good shape. Lots of exposure. Potentially windy being next to the beach. If you park your car make sure you pay. The parking enforcement sneak up on you if your having too much fun.
beach and treed walking areas. no lockers for when you want to swim though. also no free parking for aways
Beautiful sunsets, cold water, nice walk on the wharf watching fisherman and crabbers
Jericho Beach, known originally as iy'a'l'mexw in Squamish,[1] a Vancouver beach, is located west of the seaside neighbourhood of Kitsilano. It is surrounded by Jericho Beach Park, a grassy area with a pond, which is a picnic destination. Jericho Beach is the home of the Jericho Sailing Centre Association. ToponymyEdit The name Jericho Beach derives from Jeremiah Rogers, who ran a logging camp in the area in the 1860s, either as a corruption of "Jerry's Cove"[2][3] or else as a corruption of his company's name, Jerry & Co.[3] Jericho BeachEdit The beach is home to concessions, soccer and baseball fields, picnic tables, public washrooms, among other amenities like beach volleyball nets. Also, there are lifeguards on duty for beach safety from late May to early September. It is home to the Jericho Works Yard for the Vancouver Parks Board, a youth hostel, the annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival and the Jericho Sailing Centre.[4] Jericho Beach ParkEdit Jericho Beach Park is a park that is near Jericho Beach. The park includes a pond, a tennis court, and many picnic areas. Along with Locarno Beach Park (which is a park adjacent to Jericho Beach Park), Jericho Beach Park is home to many rabbits and other animals. Jericho Beach Flying Boat StationEdit Main article: RCAF Station Jericho Beach 801 (Vancouver) Wing, Air Force Association of Canada; Air Crew Association (Vancouver Branch); Air Force Officers Association and the British Columbia Veterans Commemorative Association erected an educational monument at the Jericho Beach Flying Boat Station, 1920-1947. Jericho Beach was the first Canadian Air Force and, in 1924, the first Royal Canadian Air Force station in British Columbia.[5] The old headquarters building is now used by 39 Canadian Brigade Group.
Brings back fond memories of my days at UBC. Never gets old to visit.
Lots to do. Not usually busy, swimming is good. Great views
One of the more quiet beaches it’s lovely.
Awesome views of mountains & beautiful sunsets! Beach and grassy areas ideal for bbq & picnics. Great for a relaxing, lone visit, or a group gathering.
Really awesome beach. I'm always relaxed once I'm here. Very peaceful and always less busy than Kitselano beach.
My favourite beach in Vancouver. Amazing sunsets. Walk along the water to Locarno beach and Spanish banks from Jericho. Must visit!
I enjoy a lot this beach, it is more spacious than English Bay and Second Beach, during weekends there’s a long line to use the restrooms so just keep that in mind.
Nice place, adorable bunnies
A great park with pretty much something for everyone. Baseball, sailing, even a great lit turf field for soccer. Awesome city views at a wonderful location - maybe the nicest day ever for an afternoon of soccer. Highly recommended!
The second cleanest beach in Vancouver. Also if you go to the far end and sit against the grass you can stare at the mountains and pretend like you're not in a city.
Jericho is fine. Not great things to see, but still a good beach. It was calm when I visited in September.
This definitely has become my favorite beach in Vancouver.
My favorite park to chill on a sunny afternoon
A very nice place to walk or chill. The view was amazing, like any beach would have. There were plenty of other people enjoying the beach as well. Walking, biking, playing sports or games, kids playing in the sand, you name it. 10/10
Was nice. But needs some work.
Does have a life guard a snack shack and lovely view of the north shore
Superb park with plenty of grass space, picnic areas, beachfront, and trails. There's a turf sports field and a grass field, tennis courts, a concession stand, and public washrooms.
My favourite park in town
Beautiful beach with spectacular views. There are grassy spots as well as sand, volleyball courts, and a small shop to get food. It does get really busy here in the summer.
It's big, it's typically less crowded than kitsilano beach in the summer. Watch the mass beach volleyball games that start after 19:00.
Super beachy beach. Logs for sitting on to watch waves come in, good picnicking and BBQing spots. There is a tasty if not "beach priced" tuck shop with French fries and burgers etc. Public washrooms are right next to the parking lot.
This is my favorite beach park in Vancouver. It's full of families and groups holding barbecues, parties, and yard games. There is lots of space for everyone to run around or lounge.
One of my favorite parks in the city. The best weekend of the year to be there is in July when they host the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. Beautiful people, scenery and music all come together for an amazing experience. I love sitting on the beach listening to whomever is playing while watching the sun setting. Magical.
The park and the beach are good but you will need to pay for parking. You can park on the street or go to Spanish Banks were parking is free. Anyhow, it's worth a visit.
Nice views, sometimes when the tide is low, you can walk out all the way out, kind of like centennial beach. There's a geocache there!
Love this place, but sometimes people sneak their dogs in the beach...AND I GET MAD!
Lovely corner of the city. Loads of parking (pay), washrooms, kayak and SUP rentals, shady spots, sloped Beach, good swimming.
Amazing scenery. A good spot to walk your dog as well, but on leash only.
Beautiful mother's day picnic spent ❤️
This park is located in Vancouver's West side, on the water, not far from UBC. There are fields, picnicking areas and wooded areas, all connected by trails. The parking is free. There is beach access the entire length of the park. The views of mountains and Vancouver are wonderful from here. It's a great place for a beach day, kite flying, playing frisbee with kids and dogs, having a picnic or just chilling. There are washrooms onsite as well.
One of the many fine beaches of english bay. Nice park. Croweded on perfect days. Deserted otherwise.
Lots of activities with beautiful scenery
Nice beach, tends to be quieter than other beaches in Vancouver which is nice!
Am awesome, quiet beach tucked at the end of Point Grey Rd. The concession is reasonably priced and sells dairy free gelato and delicious onion rings. Not as much mayhem as Kits or Wreck, closer to the water than Spanish Banks. Just watch out for the crow mafia. They can be ruthless.
Went for the Vancouver folk festival. Such a terrific weekend with friends and family. Three generations.
Beautiful place for a walk . Enjoyed it during the rain . Lovely park
A lovely beach that is usually much less crowded then kits or Spanish banks.
A lovely beach with a good view of the city. Great for BBQs
Amazing views and a great place to go cabbing.
There is a park that is connected to the beach ..lots of wild bunnies too.
Best at autumn. Colorful trees. Calm and quiet forest with birds chirping. Lush green large field. Large area of sand beach for kids to play. It's a complete package with beach, forest, field to enjoy the day.
Great views concession open today (Sunday Feb) toilets open too
I like Jericho Beach more than Kits Beach, which is near by. Jericho is quieter in my experience, and you are able to appreciate the natural beauty of the beach more.
Perfect place for a get-together with mates!
My favorite beach of all time. You have to go there.
Great views of the mountain, downtown . On the grass or on the sand on the beach you can have a picnic. There is a fish and chips food stand with a few tables.
Beautiful view of the skyline. Quiet beach. While there I spotted some otters and a sea lion near the pier!
Very beautiful beach/park - I highly recommend this place
Great beach clean and it's huge lots of room to set up and still be away from others
Found this beach on thatmap.com. There are some hardcore swimmers going way offshore. The sand is clean and it's a real pleasure to lay here.
Great local beach/park with phenomenal views and quick escape from it all
Great views, nice beach. Can get really crowded in the summer and finding parking can be difficult.
Love this beach in summer, my favorite beach to go. Sunset is awesome there.
Beautifully maintained path and beach area. I wish it was more closely monitored though, people regularly have dogs off leash despite signs warning it’s not permitted.
It's a relally cool place in summer. There's a great field for different activities. For people who want to rent kayaks, there's also a Marine Club - Jericho Sailing Center beside where people can rent them. Enjoy
Favorite beach in Vancouver
It is a pretty beach. There is also a large area with grass and trees. Couple of years ago they used to have a fireworks show there during summer time. Since Covid-19 hit they cancelled all agglomeration. I hope next year we can have it again.
Not the Spanish banks but the park compensates with some beautiful spots.
Great place to have a refreshing dip. A very family friendly park and beach. Enjoyed it very much.
Easy to get lost in the forest trails because there are many paths and off paths to take. Though you might be surprised by what you find!
Nice viewpoint, but quite distant from any spectacular skylines.
Woow! I've been there many times, really enjoyed our time walking between the trees with family having fun.
The beach is awful, but the park is nice! It is a shame they use beaches as a harbor proposals, but it is a history of the city.
Friendly folks abound, not too many geese. Sailing club nearby is relaxed about letting people look at their cool boats. Grass areas are very clean, as is the beach. Missing firepits, but that might just be a Canadian thing relative to firepits on beaches in Seattle. Pier is a little slippery, but that's just what piers do. Safety is pretty good, there aren't railings everywhere on the pier but there's good ladders and nothing's excessively barnacle-y.
Beautiful beach and view
Great beach if you don't own a dog. Carefull on the geese poop though
Lots of picnic tables and places to spread out and have a meal under the trees. Cute bunnies too! Great wheelchair accessible parking.
Great beach, really good space for the whole family or a lone person. There are picnic tables and logs around to sit around and soak in the summer sun or you can relax under the trees during the rain!
Great spot to walk run or cycle along the beach.
Might be the best view looking back at Vancouver. Nice beach and park. Strict rules for dogs though and a lot of rabbits running around. Park on 4th. Avenue if you can and walk in. Otherwise it is pay parking $12 per day.
When it's a mix of sun and cloud the beach is so peaceful .. and almost no one there. So nice
Peaceful and quiet. Water was not too cold or too salty.
I have to say, this is my favourite park in Vancouver. No matter if summer or winter, the beach walk is beautiful.
Great beach you can relax with the family. Recommended.
Lovely beach with serene views of the mountain and the open ocean. During the low tide, we can walk up to a kilometer into the ocean which feels surreal!
Awesome view, trails for biking and walking
Nice, quiet, little beach. Beautiful view of the city and the sand is nice and clean. Be careful! There is pay parking here and there is no signage other than 2 pay stations.
Great place to go for a walk once in a while and enjoy the panoramic views of the ocean and mountains and Downtown Vancouver!
Great park on the beach. Lots of space to lounge, play, swim or tan.
My favorite beach, other than Spanish banks. Less crowded, and has a beautiful park leading away to 4th Ave.
This fun little beach is a great place for a picnic or just a stroll along the shoreline. It is a quiet place on the weekday and is a beautiful place to take pictures or just be at peace.
A beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature within the city.
You can walk for kilometers on the sandbars at low tide and swim with seals when the tide is in. Best views of the north shore mountains and the downtown core. When you think Vancouver, this is the view that comes to mind. Keep an eye open for sea stars and look up for an amazing view of eagles soaring overhead.
I've lived by it since I moved here from England. This Beach makes me feel like home. ???? I love it
Beautiful place, great beach, great trees for shade
Great beach, fantastic sunset!
Complete package. Picnic, beach, park, trail, views.
A much quieter space than some of the busier downtown area beaches. Has a decent selection of food at the concession, but if you're looking for a wide variety of food then you might want to bring something with you. No liquor stores around either, so BYOB. Good for a swim, getting out on your paddle board, kayak, etc.
This is a good beach for people who like to swim in cold water. It is also good for picnicking. The water is a bit deep for kids. There is a concession with washrooms and changerooms. There is pay parking available. It was windy enough to fly our kite when we were here.
Love this beach! It's not as busy as Kits ( kits is great too ) and this place is huge. Have seen great birthday parties here and group events. I would recommend this beach.
I love this park. Nice swimming at the beach, good walking trails and beautiful open grassy areas. There are some ponds here that attract a variety of birds.
This beach filled with the grand & breathtaking views found in nature.
This place is full of fun even in the fall and spring u can walk ur dog leach free.great place for playing any kind of game and swimming young and old, Wheelchair friendly. And the fish and chips are also great.
Perfect for a summer picnic and swimming. But the police came in the evening to look for people with drinks so I guess it's not a good place to have a beer or wine
Love to bring my charcoal BBQ down to the beach on a summer day and watch the sunset! One really cool aspect is there is a pit to dump your ashes into so you don't have to live with them on to the beach. One of my favorite summer Hangouts!
Usually crowded even with pay parking and tickets are easy to come by even if you paid your ticket in full. Still awaiting a response from the ticketing agency with regards to why my friend got a ticket. It's been 2 months now. Good park to visit by bike.
We went sinset Kayaking. It was alot of fun and the city lights were amazing. Parking was the onky issue as you cant park past 11pm and that was when our evening ended. Had to park in a residential area quite far away.
A great view what is there not to like.
Great beach nice sand and one if the best views of the city and mountains. Sometimes a little crowded though as the beach is not the biggest.
Best when leaning against a log in the sand while strumming a guitar as the purple sunlight fades from the sky.
So beautiful! Nice and quiet with a great view. Great place for sunsets!
Organized a gathering here for our group towards the evening on a weekday and it was not too busy at all. The concession stand was closed by the time we showed up but we brought pizzas anyways. You have your pick of the sand and surf, grassy picnic areas, big logs to sit on, benches, picnic tables, you name it. There are water babies here, beach bums, jocks playing volleyball and other sand sports, families enjoying the warm weather, and the general population coming out from a years hiatus. Jericho is clean and well maintained and safe. Just up the road are all the restaurants and amenities you could want, and a short drive otherwise puts you right onto the UBC campus. The beach and boardwalk are long, probably 5-6km or more in both directions; more than enough space for everyone. The view of the inlet and across to the North Shore is always spectacular; especially with the setting Sun.
Great place to go and have a good time to be relaxed
Love this park. Careful with your pups as they want to chase after the bunnies!
Great views of the bay, mountains, and the city. The view is particularly stunning after some snow in the mountains!
Beautiful beach with lots of watersport activities to try out at the Jericho Sailing Centre, as well as areas for picnicking. Perfect for a fun summer.
One more stunning place in beautiful Vancouver. Amazing view of downtown and Northshore. Nice place to be with family or to walk your dog. There is two separate line for pedestrian and bicycle. There is lots of parking available but still, you may have a bit of challenge at peak times.
Good park sad memories tho.
Excelent beach, easy and plenty of parking, some voley ball fields and the water it's quite clear
Hiking...riding...resting on the beach...picnic..every thing you want you can find and do there..????❤????
Beautiful destination. We love walking at Spanish Banks at low tide. The restuarant at Jericho Sailing Club is a great reward after.
Beautiful seaside walk/beach with amazing views of downtown Vancouver and the Northshore Coastal Mountains.
Super busy on weekends. Pay parking, about $8 for 2 hrs.
My daughter's wedding was held here. The view was breathtaking and the outdoor ceremony was just perfect. If you're looking for a wedding venue that is framed by our beautiful mountains and water this is the place.
Beautiful but busy place to go in a sunny day
Lots of cute bunnies. Bring parsley for them. Beautiful beach and scenery
Awsome turf field, baseball diamond, tennis courts. Clean beach and epic view of mountains.
A great place to go if you want a low-key time at a beautiful beach in Vancouver. It’s not as busy as Kitsilano or English Bay, so it’s really nice. When the piers out you can walk significantly out. I would definitely check it out if I was you. There’s also a restaurant near the beach just in case you get hungry. Bonus, parking is free.
A beautiful beach with tasty street food, but a little rocky when approaching the water. We enjoyed the neighbour Locarno beach more because of this reason. The rental of kayaks/paddleboards/etc is a nice feature
Played soccer at Jericho turf.lighting could b better .turf also to flat.but ok otherwise
Loved it Beautiful view. Parking is difficult.
Very nice view of the mountains from here. Not too busy if you go in the morning.
Love this park. Beside the great view of the ocean, mountains, and downtown, I find the bonny rabbits quite entertaining.
Such abeautiful scenery if the water and mountains especially on a clear night
A great family spot with sandy beach, good swimming, consession stand with beach fare, and parking lot nearby.
Awesome view, plan on coming back to hang out and rate it a full 5.
Best place to be in Vancouver during the summer if you like the beach. Cool ocean breeze always make the outing comfortable.
So nice! Will definitely visit more often
It's great place
Always lots of room and shade if you want it
Beautiful, peaceful and easily accessible.
Nice beach and park. But it should be ameliorated a bit so we can enjoy it more.
Can get busy but an great place for a picnic! Go when low tide for a fun long walk along the shore!
Unsurprisingly, this place is super busy on summer weekend afternoons… but it's a great beach! Lots of trees for shade inland from the path, and on the beach side, there's lots of space, especially when the tide is out. Quite a few benches and tables, and it's in a fairly convenient location, if you're anywhere between Downtown and UBC.
A lively, lovely place . .Lotsa bird's ????????️????
Swimming in the cold ocean is better than sex or drugs; serenaded by the frogs, the heron sliding heavily down the sky
Lovely place with less crowd
Nice park for picnics, lots of trees for natural shade and short walk to the beach. You can find a lot of rabbits running around.
Good time on the beach and many different water activities available at reasonable prices. Just don't be like me and lose your phone in the water.
This park is beautiful and scenic, whimsical in the rain or sunlight, and gorgeous to walk, run, or swim in any season of the year. Vancouver's English Bay, sailboats, tankers, mountains and views of the dazzling north shore can be seen from this picturesque beachfront park. Free street parking is limited but available.
Great place to walk along the water
Great park. So many water sports to do.
Great place e to watch ships in the harbor and have a drink and something to eat.
Beautiful beach!! Lots of space and parking
Beautiful
Peaceful place with beach and park !!!
Good beach. Organized water activities through the Jericho Sailing Centre. Great crabbing dock to watch crabbers. Galley Patio serves good food in a relaxing seaside setting overlooking the bay and the city skyline.
Great area for walking along the beach, great place for get together sans pandemic
It is a beautiful beach. You can walk or bike along the trail to the next Kitslano beach where you will find coffee shops or restaurants nearby.
Great view of Vancouver downtown and north Vancouver. Good place to rent a paddle board and spend the day.
Loved it, beautiful Jericho Beach
A great place to walk, relax and enjoy the Vancouver sun and mountain scenery. In one section of the park the frog croaking fills the entire area. There are wild black and grey rabbits roaming around near the paths under the black berry bushes.
Great place to go hang out and relax on a sunny day, to have a nice evening BBQ, or to play a little volleyball. At very low tides, it's a superb place to walk along the beach, which when uncovered by water stretches halfway to West Vancouver!
I came here because I wanted to see/feed the rabbits. I came a bit late (9:30pm) so I just ended up sitting on the sand and dipping my legs in the water. I love that they have these logs for people to sit on in the sand, near the shore. It looks cute and when I came, I was able to get one to myself >:) The view was beautiful and the water/beach seemed clean. I will be returning sometime during the day to see if I can spot the rabbits. I hear they're near the bushes by the Jericho sailing club?
A lovely beach to walk along even in late November
One of the best beaches to visit in Vancouver
Clean and friendly, with plenty of space and recreational opportunities for everyone. My favourite beach in Vancouver.
Packed. Dirty. View of tankers, scummy water. Sandy Beach, clean washrooms, little parking, good concession. Could be worse but not the best.
Pay parking, sailing center, concession, fields, swimming, pinic area. Lots to do with or without the family.
It's a beach so it gets a 5 Nice views of Vancouver
Beautiful view of Vancouver's downtown...
Best park among other Beaches
Jericho Beach is a great place for a lot of summer activities. Beach volleyball, beach bbq, low tide walks, or just napping under a tree. There is plenty of parking on the street and everything you need for a beach day is nearby. There is an outdoor shower, changing rooms, washrooms, and also a concession stand. I have never bought anything form the concession store, but it is good to know that it is there just in case. The atmosphere is laid back and it is never too crowded like sunset beach or English Bay. So grab your sandals and go to Jericho Beach for a low tide walk or a nap on the beach.
If you want a quiet beach with ample (pay) parking, then this is the place! Lots of room to spread out and enjoy the view.
This beach is gorgeous but a little over crowded when I arrived
Great place to go for a walk then fish and chips.
Good for a stroll, morning, afternoon or evening. There is ample space for everyone. Need to watch out for bikes. The beach is a little rocky in some places. When the ride goes out, lots of fine sand.
What a great beach, love walking here with my dog. Lots of friendly people and this is why I love Vancouver!
Beautiful place to send a day at the beach. Not to crowded on the weekends.
Went there on a weekday and the beach was clear, very nice.
Amazing place
Beautiful beach. Great place to enjoy the view and the beauty of the mountains across the water.
Beautiful evening stroll, fresh air and nice to slow down and enjoy the scenery after a long day.
Was not very busy. Very nice to walk or sit and people watch
Beautiful beach in Vancouver. Also good view of downtown Vancouver from the beach.
Probably one of the best urban beaches in north america.
Beautiful is the best word!
Pro tip: there’s a secret, hidden beach area if you walk further down the walkway, way past the basketball courts. Behind some brambles and looking somewhat secluded is a patch of grass and then a beach area that is much quieter than the main volleyball beachfront. Great for dates.
Beautiful beach, with a wonderful view from the city.
Gorgeous views of North Van and the Coastal Mountain Range, also has nice green space and beaches
There's a nice beach, trees and lots of little bunny rabbits hopping around near the sailboat club.
Love going here for SUP, Kayaking and Windsurfing
Nice beach with perfect water depth. Cool view of the city.
Not some good on cold rainy day but sunny days are alright.
If u love calm quiet beaches then this is it not much crowded so u can have relaxing time ..recommended in summer
Best views of the city skyline and the North Shore Mountains. Comes alive in the summer with volleyball, beachgoers and picnics. Lots of quieter beaches and coves off the main beach if you want to relax. Nice shaded parks for families with young kids.
Spent an evening watching fireworks. Great view. You would find that this beach is not as crowded as some others like Kits and English Bay. I liked that. Definitely worth trying.
my favourite beach in Vancouver. the sand is so fine and smooth and the view is phenomenal.
Really enjoyed sitting on the rocks feeling the cool breeze from the sea water and watching the people playing and swimming in water and barbecuing in groups or playing football and doing other games, full of joy and energy in spite of the high temperature. The only disappointment was a few marijuana smokers who used the public beach enjoying themselves without paying attention to other people. Can't imagine what it will be like when using it legalized.
Fabulous sands , great weather , and most of all free parking
Wide, sandy beach and big grassy area with beautiful shade trees. What's not to love?
It's a beautiful place with amazing views. One thing I will complain about is that the parking situation is dreadful. If you can, come here by Uber or something.
Incredible views of the mountains, and the city. Sandy beaches, park area
Long walk to the water at high tide. Lots of pay parking right near the entrance.
Jericho. We walked through the woods Dragoon... Amazing Grace. I can still hear the pipes Danny. We love you!!!
A very beautiful place to go and spend the day on your own or with a family or with someone special there is a place to have a hamburger hot dogs or fish and chips a very nice place highly recommend going
The best beach ever. I have also a fav log and the ???? at the concession are delicious. Free park spot and only 25 min drive from home. Great great spot that i discovered like a treasure just this year
I cycle here regularly. Nice, well kept, beach never too crowded. Washrooms and food seasonally.
Lovely beach. Fond memories of biking here during high school years.
Nice beach, but need water shoes, too many rocks on shore and in water.
Very nice beach with beautiful soft sand and plenty of space to claim your own spot in the sun. My only gripe is that we saw a Male prostitute soliciting business around the men's washroom. He was literally counting his stack of money and was wearing the most revealing clothing! I support the LGBT community and actually watched the Pride parade but come on! This guys super toned/tanned buttocks was right in my face! Ok maybe I'm a little jealous because he obviously works out and clearly had more money than me. I'm just saying. We recommend this place, maybe go to the washroom prior to coming here or go au natural in the sea.
Soft sand between toes mmmmm
Perfect beach, within walking distance to a restaurant and the astro turf fields
Another amazing beach!
The old Hood. Love this Beach ????
Too crowded, too many seagulls, and my bike got stolen. Worst beach in the world, hands down.
Great place to sit, walk, play, picnic or barbecue... ????
Great view of the mountains and ocean. Plus adorable bunnies!
Fun beach. Lots to do. Food stand there. Wild bunnies to the west of the beach in the black berry bushes.
Nice Park, pretty quite and the good beach
Nice clean park, great picnic areas; convenient parking nearby, short walk to the water...
This is my favorite beach. I have been coming here for more than 40 years. It is very relaxing with beautiful scenary and nice walking paths. Easy to find parking and have good picnic grounds. Must visit.
Excellent beach, perfect for watching fireworks across the bay or a bbq with friends
A stunning world class beach park. You can BBQ, picnic, rent kayaks, paddle boards, swim, go for awesome hikes, jogs and bike rides with a gorgeous view of the mountains and Vancouver's growing skyline. Recommended for anyone who loves nature, views and the outdoors. A must see!
Busy but it's obvious why. It is an escape from the city. With endless beaches and a view of downtown Vancouver and its north shore mountains to draw your eye if you can pull it from your camera just for a moment.
Beautiful place just to relax, take a walk or go for a jog. Alone or with the family I am sure eveyone wilm have great memories. Friendly and clean place to be with gorgeous views.
Jericho Beach pier is our favourite place. The bunnies are so cute, and almost every time we saw a seal there.
Ran a half marathon (in two loops) here. I've never spent any time in this area. The trails, both beach and park, were lovely. There were plenty of dogs, both on and of leash, but all seemed really well behaved.
Beautiful place! Great walk along the beach!
Best park ever. Take a stroll, see some rabbits and eagles or watch waterfowl in the marsh. Head up the hill and sit amongst massive firs, with a view of the bay, or walk down to the water and rent a kayak. Take a break, and go to the grocery store just 10 minutes away! Your friends just told you they're coming with a BBQ, and the lifeguard said he'd watch your spot while you're gone.
The view was nice. It has black rabbits, cranes, ducks. You can also do Crabbing, fishing across the Pier. If you are lucky, you can spot a Sea Otter as well. The payment metere for the parking lot didn't print a receipt. Our transaction went through and was reflected in the bank statements. When we called the customer care, they kept us on hold for more than 20 min and they said our license plate wasn't registered which was annoying and a time waste. They asked us to pay again using their app. Very ill managed payment meter.
Jericho Beach Park is located on a small, but gorgeous beach-side park on the north end of Vancouver, British Columbia. It is one of the most popular beaches in the city and it's not hard to see why as it has a lovely view of Vancouver's harbor, which also happens to be one of Canada's busiest ports.
Amazing place!!!! Our first family BBQ in Canada. Feel fantastic
Just a quiet beach in Point Grey with nice views of the Vancouver skyline, Stanley Park, and the northern suburbs of the city. Great place to go crabbing.
Love this place, and rabbits near. Awesome view on city and mountains
Lovely beach. Found free parking a but further from the beach. Less places to eat so bring food or picnic stuff with you.
We liked it there. Nice park, trail. Even good for a bicycle ride.
Nice place to get away from the city and watch the ocean. The same is grainy but you can swim in the water, though it's rather cold. There are showers and washrooms that are on the edge of the sand. There are logs that you can sit on if you don't want to sit in the same and trails that run along the beach. Lots of people bike, jog, and walk here so it's pretty popular. Beach closes at 10pm.
Beautiful beach in the fall.
Beautiful sand and enough space to feel alone
Great place for picnics, birthday celebrations, barbeques and feeding bunnies, just watch out for the thorny bushes and the crows that stalk you if you have food!
Went during the early evening for a quick sunset viewing. Not too busy so there was room for social/physical distancing. Some ppl were wearing masks, but a vast majority weren't. Started to get cool as the ???? was setting around 8pm, which was when we left
Nice Beach! Lots of open space and great views
It's a good park and a good beach. It's food for anybody whether young people having fun or families who want a day out.
Good place to watch sunset . If you want to get some great pictures of the city that's the place to go.
BREATHTAKING Ocean, Mountain and Downtown skyline views from the Galley Patio and Grill at Jericho Sailing Centre! Licensed, have a full meal, try their Salmon burgers, fish tacos etc... watch the sun set with a beer/wine or come for coffee and dessert with full barrista and icecream parlour.
Great view. Great sand. Super nice on a breezy sunny day.
Love this spot, amazing view!
One of my favorite spots in Vancouver! Good for a jog or a stroll or just to sit and admire the view. Keep an eye out for bunnies especially by the sailing centre!
Lovely beach. Great place to hang out and enjoy the views
Not too crowded with a beautiful view and a field to sit on. The water was great. Bathrooms and a confession stand near by allowed us to stay and soak in sun all day!
A beautiful and sandy beach with plenty of picnic tables and bunnies hopping around. Great place for a stroll or just to sit and relax looking at the sea and the view. Enjoyed our short visit there.
