Cool swing bridge

Decided to stop here to sit at a picnic table by the canal and enjoy a late takeaway lunch from the local diner. Loved the reflections in the calm water and the colours are starting to change. No boats went through at this time though. It is also a nice view when you look up along the canal. There are also dirt roads along each side for those who want to talk a wee walk.

Nice little rest stop, lock, and swing bridge. Right on Loyalist Parkway just outside of Trenton. Lot's of parking and great views on both sides. A neat little wooden boat exhibit adorned with Canadian History fact signs, about the Murray Canal and the construction and what/how it was used. Lot's great fishing spots aswell, even a little catwalk right down below the bridge.

About a 3 1/2 star. Nice place to sit and have a picnic. Improved if there happen to be boats using the canal otherwise not a lot of interest or activity.

Had a wonderful day just relaxing, with good friends and a coffee. Clean park and very nice passerbyers.

Park was empty, toilets were open. We found the toilets on Google maps.

Nice place for a picnic next to a canal. There are 5 benches and 3 picnic tables. You can watch boats pass when the bridge opens. Some people also fish there.

ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS !!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know why Parks Canada would employ an individual with such horrid body odor . i went to the door to request directions and was turned away by the stench of the individual in the booth . Indescribable , truly !!!!!! Some form of sensitivity training or perhaps retirement is in order !!!!!
