REVIEWS OF Bleasdell Boulder Conservation Area IN Trenton

Claire Wang

I had corned beef sandwich and some fries for only $10, the sandwich was amazing; the bread was good and LOTS of corned beef!!!!!! The fries were a bit shaggy though, you may want to try their onion rings. The portion may look small from the picture(I took a baaad picture), but it was a lot of food.

Very large rock. The walk is shorter than the sign makes it look. We saw minnows and crayfish in the small creek the path goes over. Easy hike for all ages.

Now i know what a million kilograms of Boulder looks like! Peaceful walking trails as a plus. ????

A great little spot for short to long walks. Small loop suitable for strollers tagged you past the bleasdale Boulder, a large glacial erratic left from the last ice age. Nice little spots with benches great from taking a break from walking. I bring my dog here all the time (on leash) and she loves it's.

Great spot to take the kids for a easy walk. Wish they had garbages along the way so people could throw their dog poop bags away vs hanging on trees

This is a great trail to visit for a nice easy hike. Smooth gravelled walkways with lots of clearance and no hills. Not too mention the main attraction - an unbelievable boulder the size of a small house! Great for hiking in all seasons, and very dog friendly.

Great trails. Nice to take kids to and walking dogs

Sam Meggs

In the springtime watch for icy trails. It has a short walk that's not challenging at all which is great if you want to to bring young ones or someone with limited mobility. There is a dog waste bin at the entrance of the park, but be aware some people don't always take advantage of it, so the edges of the trails can be a little messy.

Andrew Foster

Not a huge area, but definitely a fun little hike. Hadnt been here before, and the boulder was a bit bigger than I'd expected. Came in the fall and got to enjoy the fall colors on the trees. Was a bit of a warm week so I even saw a couple of late season garter snakes. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

The oldest rock in Canada with 2.3 billion years old. Massive and impressive. And one of the largest boulder in North America. 6.5 m high, 13 m long. Moved 45 km by the glacier forces. Off the beaten path close to 401 and 5 min shaded easy hike from the parking. Good resting stop. Infested with gypsy moths, but well worth visit.

Jan Austin

Beautiful trails. Quiet.

Travis Dupuis

Really nice escape into nature, great little 1 km loop, perfect for walks, nature observations or even jogging.

Dana Bromley

This is a great place for a walk with little ones. Fairly well maintained by gravel and not to long so little one's won't get tired out. Could be a learning experience as well.

Soney Matthews

A short nice walk ( about 1 km) through the well maintained path to see the 2.3 billion old rock ????..Bleasdell Boulder is one of the largest known glacial erratics in North America and it is estimated to be 2.3 billion years old.. Just amazing!!

Oleh Chomyn

Neil Robinson

Steve Yearsley

Anthoni scardino

Great place to walk a dog ???? with lots of trails to pick from.

Mark Thickins

Nice walk

Brandon Bourgoin

Was a very nice walk tonight.

Valencia Bedard (V)

Gorgeous trails wind through cedar forests and mixed hardwood areas. You can choose the short loop (about 2km) or continue down to the Lower Trent Trail and walk for another half hour before turning back. The total walk to the end of the Lower Trent trail and back is about 1.5 hrs going at a moderate pace. There are several side trails that have since overgrown since I was there last, it's a shame that they aren't being maintained. The boulder is amazing to see in person. Truly a unique sight.

Abraham Thekkekara Issac

Great view! Few fishing spots

Marble Jaguar

Beautiful place to take a walk. Lots of birds can be seen. The trail is not long (1-2 km) but you can always walk the loop more than once or another path takes you out to the lower trent conservation trail which is very long.

Mike Hansen

Awesome walking trail with your dog

Amanda Keenan (Silverplate Press)

Great short hike for both little ones and adults. Also that boulder is really neat to see in person.

Jacq b

Amazing. Worth the visit

Emma Kinloch

Fun 1 km 'hike' (walk) on a well maintained path. Path is wide a d smooth enough for a stroller, or wheelchair (might be a bit bumpy). Two small boardwalks - fun for small children. The boulder itself is impressive, and fun to look at, walk around. Some secondary trails branch off from the main path (not sure where they go - no listed on the map). Info board at the start of the trail, and at the boulder. Parking is a gravel lot, and not far from the trail head. Pet friendly - on leash. There is a rock snake with decorated rocks left by hikers. Bring a painted rock to continue the snake!

Melissa Gaudet

Dont have sex there. The cops will come ????????

Daniel Barker

It was a great walk, very well maintained. I like that boulder, that is a nice boulder.

Kate F

Nice short walk, very easy trail. Rated 5 stars because its not usually busy, and I've always enjoyed my little walks here, there is a creek under the bridge which is nice but during the summer it dries out. Bring bird seed if you want to feed the birds. :)

Aleece McLean

We did family photos here. It was lovely. Nice place to walk around. I definitely enjoyed it.

Absolutely worth the short hike.

Denis Dodge

Nice and clean trail

Crystal Mabee

Very nice and we kept

Joanna Kirby

This is a beautiful, well kept little treasure.

Matt Buie

Expected (after hearing it described by locals) a rock about the size of a Volkswagen. It was much more impressive than I imagined. My first impression was "That's the rockiest rock I've seen outside the Canadian Shield." It's a short walk (1.3 km/4000 ft) on maintained paths, and an enormous chunk of glacial history. Paint a small (10-15 cm/4-6") rock with a happy little design for the rock snake.

J Baker

Such a beautiful small trail, smells of wildflowers through the "swamp" and the biggest Boulder I've ever seen!

Kevin & Debby Middleton

The Bleasdell Boulder is a great place for a short hike. The trail is well maintained and easy to walk and there are many opportunities to spy chipmunks, and even the occasional owl. For those wanting to get outdoors this trail is the perfect introduction.

Doris St Pierre

Nice paths big boulder not much else

Adam Pearson

Good day for a hike

Matt Poulin

Great walk , our two year old loved it. I highly recommend going here for a quick walk. But please clean up after yourselves. Tim Hortons does not get any royalties from all the free advertising along the pathway.

Callum Winsor

Great place to take the pet for a walk but the heavy traffic has somewhat diminished the appearance.

Nancy Trider

Loved the walk. I'm disabled so I really appreciated the level path. There was a choice between two paths of different distances. The boulder is huge. Lots of parking.

Yann Beaulieu

Very quiet and lots of birds. Totally recommend!

katelyn blanchard

Great place to take the little kiddos for a walk!

Amy

Lancelot Williams

It's a pretty big rock, but nowhere near the 3.8 kilotonne double-potato which stopped construction at the Tovtel site. A nice place to walk through the woods, and the rock is a good photo opportunity if you have young children.

AJ Stobbart

Love going here

Matthew King

Really amazing to see the biggest Boulder in North America. Kids just love it here.

Marie Arsenault

I really like it here. The boulder trail portion isnt very long but it hooks up to other trails all over the place. Once you pass the boulder, cross the bridge, go down a small hill and you can go left or right. If you go right you end up at the batawa ski hill and there are trails on the batawa ski hill and there are also seperate trails off the main path. I took my bike to get to the ski hill, would prob be a 1.5 to 2 hour walk to get there.

Jeff

Great place. The trail is short enough that our toddler can walk the whole way.

Trevor Merrall

Great place for a hike and to see some great wild life.

Lisa Cole

Great place to walk. Good for wheel chairs there are hard spots at the one bridge ...
