2020.09.17. Today we watched sunset from Riverdale Park East. Nice view of the sunset over the skyline of Downtown Toronto. The best view was across the street from @Rooster Coffee. If you are in the city, a nice place to view the sunset. The park has a running track, an outdoor exercise location, and a walking trail.

Went for a lovely walk around Riverdale Park. We crossed the bridge toward the baseball fields/ dog park. We went up the hill to look the Farm. Then we made our way down to Bayview Ave via those wooden steps and back up around the park on River St. There were a lot of people around, you may be closer than 6ft to other at points on the stairs and path ways.

There are some good walking trails that begin at the north end of the park -the trail actually starts next to Ecole Napoleon on Danforth- runs parallel to the dvp the you cross over it on a pretty large bridge into Riverdale Park west. Riverdale park is ideal for sports activities with friends, but not great for a picnic type of thing. There is not that much shade protection and is kind of barren. This park is one of the BEST places in the entire city to watch the sunset. Or fireworks on Victoria day long weekend. Parking can be a challenge since there is only street parking close.

Great park to chill with friends, or just alone. It reminds me of this painting, hahahahhaha. It's just lovely, pick a sunny day, get your blanket and go there fast!

murathan biliktü

It is an amazing place, it was really calming to just sit down and watch the view.

It's a nice park with a great view of downtown Toronto and especially the CN Tower. And it has a gorgeous view of the sunset. …

A clean and beautiful park that has a nice skyline view of Downtown, Toronto. Good place for dog walking.

Andi Susanto

The most beautiful scenery of Toronto from the hill. You could see buildings of Financial Centre by sitting down at the park. You can picnic at the park during summer too.

Our evening walks are always in and around the park. Clooney our dog loves chasing the squirrels around the farm and then we walk through the lower park and across the bridge to Riverdale east. Sit on the hill and wait for the sunset. Always relaxing and enjoyable.

Taylee Buttigieg

A large park with a beautiful view of the toronto skyline. It’s often overcrowded due to its appeal and the grass tends to die quick in the summer. Not much shade. …

mohammad rahrovi

It is nice view of Toronto in the east side of the city in summer you can go and see delighted sunset and in winter beside you can enjoy the sunset you can slip from top of the hill it is so fun

Angela

Best view of the city skyline! Great place to chill with friends. People are respectful and clean for the most part.

DurgaVara Prasad Bali

Our regular spot to spend some good time watching the Toronto sky line. In summer people just relax here picnicking by getting food from home, reading books. In winter when there is enough snow people do snow tubing and sliding. Good spot to relax and enjoy your time. We can reach the park by 505 street cars and buses. A walkable distance from Broadview subway station.

Marika Simón

My favourite park. Great sunsets, perfect for working out and also for hanging out!

Beautiful view of the city - day or night!! There’s a gigantic hill so be careful if you’re walking from the top (near the road) down to the bottom. They have an outdoor public gym, running track and large space for some outdoor gatherings. …

Antonio Zurita

A must in the city! One of the most amazing landscape views in this place, during the winter, it's the ideal place to do tobogganing.

Deryck Hart

Great view of the city and sunset followed by the Moon & Venus

It's very beautiful place. Best for jogging. When a sunny day comes everyone go and enjoy the sunlight of the sunset . You know you will feel awesome when you are drinking a cup of tea and sitting on top of the Riverdale Park East enjoying sunset. Also you are seeing many kinds of people in front of you walking, playing, relaxing like you : this will make you feel that you are not alone ????

One of the best views of the City of Toronto is found here! Riverdale Park attracts a diverse ground offering a vast park to sit and enjoy the view and crowd vibe. Especially amazing to watch sunsets here! A track to walk around, space to picnic, workout, dogs etc. Roosters Cafe directly across the street for a beverage and snack or Eastside China Town only a 5 minute walk away or the Danforth is a 10 minute walk away. Beautiful historic neighborhoods to walk around and enjoy!

Early morning walk and a nice evening sightseeing the city lights were spectacular! All season actually, a nice view of the city lights ( CN tower and downtown ) is a perfect combo eh! Went for an evening walk and people were practicing social distancing too! And you have a beautiful look out of the city eh. Keep walking peeps!

Great place for an evening skate. They have two outdoor rinks - a normal hockey rink with boards and a naturalized skating path. Due to COVID19 you have to book in advance and check in. Staff are friendly. Skaters are of all ages and abilities. Really nice atmosphere.

Shailah Damji

It was a really quiet night skating here, there were only a few people on the ice, maybe because it was so cold! There are two skating areas, one is the rink with boards which is huge and the other is a small figure 8. Because there weren't a lot of people we were able to try both. The big one is great if you are experienced but the figure 8 is nice for people who are learning to skate. We parked on the street and walked down, there are stairs to walk down. The staff were great when signing in. So glad we can prebook online, makes it so much easier witu covid restrictions.

Chathun Kurera

Great park with wonderful views of the Toronto skyline! Really nice chairs there to sit and enjoy the view

Oury Bah

This park is amazing. You got to sit and see the skyscrapers of the city while breathing fresh air. 5 stars.

Kyle Ngo

Great park, amazing hill for sledding in the winter and great view at night!

Nick WukongPrime

Best spot to watch the sunset and have a picnic from the hill side with a blanket, also there is a new edition at the park you can order food to the park and have it delivered Just look for The food flag close to the bustop should see 2 girls sitting there

Jackie Abalos

What a stunning view! I can’t believe I’ve walked past this place in the past and never acknowledge how beautiful the view was! My husband and I spent our anniversary here watching the sunset on a picnic blanket with some churros for dessert! You see the CN tower and downtown while the sun is setting! I definitely want to come back and see fireworks from there and see the buildings light up at night! Definitely a nice place for a picnic as well!!!

Adner Francisco

Great views of the city. Bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the views while you relax and breathe some fresh air. Plenty of people around: working out, playing sports, socializing. You can see the CN Tower skyline, the Aura building, as well as the Danforth bridge. Pro-tip: come during sunsets for incredible views. COVID-19: while many people do go, everyone is usually spread out. Most groups mingle amongst themselves. Relatively safe, bring a mask just in case.

Views of Toronto from the east side! So beautiful and breathtaking, especially when the sun is setting, you see the vanilla sky along with the Toronto skyline. During winter time, it’s the perfect place to bring your toboggan and slide down the hills. The park is so big that there should be no issues with social distancing, a lot of space to walk pass people, never too crowded.

Anagha Siva Nanda

It’s a great place to sit and relax. It’s a bit too crowded but you will enjoy the Toronto vibes there!

Alex Gedala

Love the view of downtown Toronto from this park. One of those nondescript parks that is always a fun experience. You won't be disappointed with the view of downtown Toronto on any clear night.

Megha Bhardwaj

Gorgeous, beautiful, large, gem of a park in Toronto. Near Bayview/River St, I think the closest subway stop will be castle Frank station There's an outdoor gym, washrooms, a running track, bridges to Riverdale West park (dog park, baseball diamond on this side) and amazing hills for tobaggoning/sledding etc. Nice also for sunrise/sunsets, nice to go for walks. Great green space in Toronto. Highly recommend the visit ????

Kristen Holder

Crowded with patchy areas of grass and dirt to sit on... So definitely bring a blanket, but stunning views of the Toronto skyline or the sunset.

Ashrut Sharma

Huge park! Also has a track and pull-up/dip bars for calisthenics workouts.

Reina Davé

We went to Riverdale Park East for a cute evening stroll and tried to catch the sunset behind the Toronto skyline. You can park your car somewhere along Sparkhall or Bain Ave but you’ll probably have to parallel park. The park itself was …

Hugo Guerrero Oliva

The most famous park in Toronto with the largest view of the city. Simply beautiful.

biraj jha

MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO GO TO TO SELF-REFLECT. To think about all the mistakes I have made in my life and how much of terrible person I am. However, the calming view of the city helps me reflect and how I can improve from the mistakes to be a better person to society. Great and calming and relaxing area to sit on the hill or go to the top to see the view of DownTown.

Babak Samareh

One of the best lookout points in Toronto. One of the best places to capture the golden hour and the gorgeous Toronto skyline. Try to be there before sunrise or sunset and see the magic with your own eyes ????

Nathan Whitty

Finally made it to this park off of Broadview Ave and it is fantastic! Went for the skating rink and while I was down there got a good look at some of the facilities. I was quite impressed with the playground. Rather than the plastic garbage you often see these days had wooden beams creating an aesthetically pleasing nature environment. I also noticed multiple tennis courts in good condition. There is likely more to explore at this location and will be back soon to see what else it has to offer.

Matthew Pascaris

Nice spacious urban park, the east side has baseball diamonds, a track and jungle gym. Excellent for tobogganing in the winter. Bridge takes you to the west side with more fields and access to the Riverdale Zoo. Great for small kids and dogs

joanna E

The only reason I like this park is for two things, easy access to toboggan with accessible parking right at the top and bottom of the hill and it's hump. This hill is huge and the park meadow lol is quite wide as well so you don't need to stop yourself lol there are even waves on this hill that act like sandbars so even if you're going too fast you won't end up in traffic without stopping yourself. However this park fills up fast and the snow dissappears quickly so pull up first.

Jainish patel

Nice place to chill and relax. Lot of fitness lover comes here for running and exercise. Best place for all age people who wants to spend some quality time or refresh their mind in this unprecedented time where most people staying home all time.

Eva Guan

A great place for sunset and long exposure photography! The only drawback is the highway noise on the bridge where people can take long exposure photos; plus, too much mosquitoes!!

Annesha Bhowmik

Riverdale park has an amazing view of the Toronto skyline! This place gets pretty busy during the summer time and it’s a struggle to find parking in the area. You can capture a beautiful sunset here. I love the vibes at night time. It’s an amazing spot to hang out or have picnics. Love grabbing bbt and coming here with friends!

sasika gunasekara

Nice view of the city line. Great to just sit on the hill and watch the sun set. There is also tennis courts and a pool located seperately. But there is a lot of rpad construction happening in the area. Not many benches as well.

Sidharth Agrawal

Breathtaking view. The skyline is fabulous. The park is fabulous. The only low point is you don't have too many options to eat around the park. Yes there are eating joints 300-400 meters away from the park but it would have been better it was closer to the park. It was a great place for a sunny day after winters.

tamara balazsovits

Beautiful park with an amazing view of the city! This park has the best view of Toronto. Kids often come here to go sledding during the winter. The park does not have much winter maintenance so be careful when walking around during the winter. I recommend checking out this park!

Georges Younes

Riverdale Park East has a very long walkway and bicycle lane that is great for joggers and riders, but that is vey noisy because it runs along the Don Valley Parkway. If you want to take full advantage of your visit, bring along a good pair of noice-cancelling headphones. I can suggest no solution for the car exhaust pollution coming from the parkway.

danwarrsimon@gmail.com Selbie

Aww God bless ! I love it here me and my brother went sledding on the hills here and laughed and had so much fun and met some awesome great people! I love it here ! Be safe and be well everyone! ????????????✌

Rahul Sharda

Visited Riverdale Park one Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends. Views of the city are great! Amazing place to just hang out and have a picnic or grab a coffee. Not sure if there was a special occasion but towards the sunset there was a DJ playing music at the park. Great vibes all around.

Saloni Panjwani

One of the best spots for sunset watching. Very crowded on the weekends.

Elliot Prescott

good for sledding, busy but not overly so. Nice coffee shop nearby that has hot chocolate and apple cider etc.

Jelo Sanquino

A very good place to have a glimpse of TORONTO'S skyline with trees and nature in it. Lots of shades of trees and parking is great on the side streets. Not to elaborate on danforth area where lots of restaurants waiting to be explored!

Tommy Ong

Great day to some some winter fun in the city. The slope is just right for children. Have some snow fun!

Craig Lund

Likely one of the best elevated park views of the Toronto skyline (west facing). Summer time vibes sees the hills dotted with families and friends on picnic blankets enjoying the sun and sunset over the CN tower skyline.

Kimberly Gayle

If you love sunsets, this is the place for you. The view of the 6ix from here is **Chef's kiss**. It's really popular for people just wanting to have a picnic or get a tan. The park also has trails and other amenities like outdoor ping pong tables, a swimming pool, skate park and tennis courts. Really nice!

Bobbie Ramos

Great place to exercise and good atmosphere.

Siddhant Verma

One of the best places to catch the sunset with a picturesque skyline. The expansive space is a perfect spot to chill out with friends, catch a break, sledge down the hill during winters and enjoy the Sun during spring.

David Okoli

Great and accessible place to catch the sunset with the Toronto downtown skyline.
