REVIEWS OF Dufferin Grove Park IN Toronto

Osher Frank

Very nice park, lacks a few Calisthenics spots and winter infrastructure like a sports dome for hard winter.

Maggie P.

This is an excellent little Park to come alone or to bring the family, because there's something for everyone. It has a nice playground and a wading pool for the kids to give them something to do while the parents can just talk or relax It is a very well-maintained Park in the city and it allows dogs. I've been here many times for picnics and also come here once in a while when I want to be alone just taking nature, both of which I highly recommend.

Love this inner city park. Two fire pits. Lots of areas to spread out your blanket and picnic. Amazingly the city sounds disappear. Areas for baseball, basketball, soccer, ice rink in winter and boarding in summer. Fun playground for kids and some days a local farmers market. Paved areas for walkers or wheelchairs. Accessible by subway, one block south of Dufferin subway. Parking on side streets or park in the lot at in Dufferin Mall, directly across the street. The mall has 2 ice cream shops! So, when High Park or Trinity Bellwoods are too crowded, this is my next neighbourhood park on the list.

Shaughn

I like how it operates nearly autonomously from the city. They have a lot of ways to get involved in community events and has firepit rentals. Great meeting place with lots of greenery and places got children to play and sports fields

Angel Abundia

Love the mud place and a wooden playground. Good place for kids. Why I give 3 star because to many homeless people taking over this beautiful park. That's a pity.

Paola Marlia

The park has a variety of activities for kids. There are toys all over the playground for kids to play with and share. There are areas for kids to have their own discoveries and adventures with irrigation, shavels, construction and more..

Sachie Mendez

Beautiful and peaceful park. On Thursday, I enjoyed the farmers market :)

Sara Tan

It's a lovely Toronto park with a play area for kids, an ice skating rink, and a farmer's market in the summer. There's also a public washroom which is open only during the warmer months. I'm guessing because the pipes aren't winterized and they freeze over.

David Smaller

This is a truly unique Toronto park. Local community involvement has fostered many wonderful features. The Thursday Farmer Market, garden plots, wood fired pizza oven, renaturalized areas, reflexology rocks, a very healthy ( and cheap! ) park run cafe - and so much more! Check the events calendar for music, theatre, puppet shows and who know what else! Spend some here :)

Kaia Michelle Grosso

I have been loving this park since I was a toddler and it was just a park. Now it's got farmer's markets, movie nights, pizza making and bonfires. We meet up here for birthdays and for business. A hub of the community with a beautiful library just up the street at Gladestone and Bloor.

blessingproductions

A very convenient green spot in middle of residential and commercial. Locals would picnic here on summer.

Mani Bhullar

Nice park and lots of parking around it. Located close to a Walmart which is perfect for grabbing snacks then going to enjoy them on a bench in the park. Great for the family and any dogs!

Tony Titan

I thought it was nice. Good looking crowd. Decent visuals with enough space to find ur own meditation or fun spot to chill. Accross the street from dufferin mall. Nice area.

Wesley Nelson

What would normally be a 5 star review is hampered by the decreasing availability of bench/lunch space due to a growing number of semi-permanent encampments. The city has got to step up with housing for those who want it.

Sheikh Waseem

Good place to relax with family. Nice splash pad and good sitting area.

JJamali

Nice park with many benches around all sorts of great food places

Ariel Vinizki

Excellent park with some distinct features ... namely the shovels, dirt and water for the kids to create little canal systems.

Kiak Ting

Park has lots of trees with good shading. Good for picnics.

Lorene Santiso

Small park with a lot of homeless people living there. Everyone seems to be really peacefull but it's not a good park to go.

Veera kilaparthi

Amazing park for families and kids ! I went around 9 ish in the morning with my 10 months old. So calm and beautiful . Less crowded and peaceful with few kids around . All of them looked so happy and running around play area. I guess it was raining earlier that day . It made the scenery dramatically beautiful. Great place for picnics in summer.

Such a Beautiful open spaced park with lots to do&see&in a nice area of Toronto too.

Tony Cack

Nice park but watch out for the squatters and their mess...

Liam Winegard

Dufferin Grove is a big urban park with great trees, an extra large playground and lots to do. The skating rink is well kept, it has numerous benches, a nice fire pit, small hills for sliding, a little of everything. This time we checked out the brightly decorated Cob structure and sand play area that are tucked in a corner. A unique part of a lovely park!

Demonicdwarf

Lovely park however what wasn't was the crack heads smoking in the bathroom for 3 hours and even more disappointing the security guards on duty failing to do their job after being told what was going on

Crystal Monaco

Some venders are way too expensive. One is charging $8. for organic eggs yet they aren't range free. They obviously don't understand they aren't the only one selling the same product that other venders sell at other markets and of course that we are willing to wait a couple of days to purchase from the other vender elsewhere. The venders are friendly and helpful. Most sell at very reasonable prices like the Mushroom guy, the vender selling vegetables. One or two try to take advantage of you like the egg guy and one selling bread that wasn't organic. I've bought some products that said it was organic and it turned out not to be Organic as I wound up in breathing difficulties almost having to go to the hospital.

Great park to spend some quality time with loved ones and or dogs. Ideal place to enjoy nature and go for a stroll & walk/run. Includes a concrete ping pong table.

Jack Santos

The park offers a range of diversity and distractions. On one end you may find a group doing yoga, on another end there could be a soccer or baseball game, and on another end families and children may be playing in the playground or children pool. People are typically respectful of each other which is great. The park also has a basketball court, skating ring, wood oven for pizza making. There is also a farmers' market during the week. Lastly, Dufferin Mall is immediately across the street if shopping afterwards is your thing.

Grace Carroca

Great play area for the kids amazing car seat swing should have them in every park

Slavisa Vranjes

Park have potential, but before renovation it's only 3 stars.

Yossi Kaplan

Dufferin Grove Park is a gem there is a space for everyone here. Great friendly vibe and seasonal farmers market in Thursday. The part near Dufferin is littered w butt a and smells, that can be fixed with a bit of thought, guidance and communal involvement. Really nice after the rain in the summers.

richard muszynski

A beautiful little Park plenty of tall trees except for the tenrs and shelters scattered throughout the park that give it a bit of a homeless feeling

Family Venegas

Been coming here since my 3 kids were in strollers! Please don't change anything here! The tents gotta go soon

Lucas Durand

Great Park, great trees for leaning with a beautiful view of the Dufferin Mall sign. It provides a soft red glow in the winter dusk.

Mai Sakurajima

The park is well maintained. The entire park in my opinion is so stunning.

Michael Gfroerer

Dufferin Grove Park is unique, in that it has elements of small hills and vales. The foot paths with many stairs are unique but not ideal for cyclists. There is a relatively bizarre structure which could be a children's playhouse, which also seems to have a barbecue and outdoor oven. The rink and organic market seem to be under some chaotic long-term repair. Be careful when visiting, especially in the evening because of several tents for those homeless; they act like they own the place and can be offensive.

B A

Great Park. Lots of space for everyone. Summer months there is a skateboard park in the skating rinks. There is a large playground and splash pad. Farmers market and other community happenings. Community garden. Free parking on the side streets or across the street at Dufferin Mall.

Daniela Mayoral

Had fun with my kids in its hills. Usually the staff is pretty friendly in the skating rink (although last time I went a woman was clearly not in its best people friendly mood). I do miss the kitchen with its hot chocolate...

Angela Sandrowicz

An all around wonderful park that's focused on community. The City of Toronto has made this an official park for tent residents. As a family, we've been meeting other families there as homeschoolers, birthday party goers, for Toronto Veg Families' annual summer vegan picnic! A wading pool, dirt and tap play area, and great old, yet maintained play equipment! There's fire pits, a pizza oven, a skating rink, skate park, and weekly farmer's market!

melissa hugh

The staff was very helpful with skating. Very inexpensive to rent skates. Our kids loved having hot chocolate after an afternoon of learning to skate. Bonus, books there for reading enjoyment!

NAMIT MOHAN BARMAN

A lovely park with seating facilities and a wide area to hang out. Also has a children playground to keep your children busy.

Gaby H

Dufferin Grove Park is one of my favourite places in the whole city. Great community, fantastic play structures, a meditation path, fire pits, ice rinks, summer skate park, soccer fields, and HUGE old trees.

Yaaaboiflexi

Bit sketchy cause there is a lot of encampments but that don’t stop me from eating dinners there.

Olivia Phillips

This is a beautiful quiet park that brings peace into an otherwise busy area. There are plenty of shady trees that help immerse you into another world while you rest and relax here. There are also plenty of ways to have fun, including a splash pad and extensive playground for kiddos, plenty of greenspace for picnics, a weekly farmers market that is primarily organic (on Thursdays), sightseeing the beautiful gardens and landscapes, pokestops and gyms, and sports fields. Enjoy your restful visit!

Marek Stupak

Dogs should run free and humans should be on leashes ....also why can dogs pee in parks while I get a ticket...and people pointing ..mother's running....wth

Nick Iwanyshyn

This is one of the nicest parks in the city, I’ve been playing pickup hockey and bike polo here for a decade without any issues. Staff is friendly, programming is top notch.

Debra Randall

Love this park as i have been going since my childhood and now bring my children. Playground and kiddos pool. Great park for picnics firepits. Love this park

Torbjorn Zetterlund

Great community park with kids area, hockey rink, a farmers market and foot massage walk. Large tree with creates a lot of shade to be in during a hot sunny summer day.

Alexandre Silva

The soccer field goals do not have nets and the volleyball net is also messed up, but the rest of the park is pretty good compared to some other parks.

Bria Trudeau

Cute area to lay down a blanket and relax for an afternoon of simple fun. Park side for children and the homeless population is qr Bay and minimal. Close to KFC/ Taco Bell and LCBO. Perfect for families or younger genz looking for a zen afternoon.

Tarik El Assal

Wonderful park where to practice yoga and Qigong on weekends, play basketball, soccer, skate and walk on feet healing path with different forms of stones in an "8" shape. Perfect for a picnic alone or with friends and with campfires at night. It got 2 bike share stations which is convenient to commute to the park. Lovely memories and experiences in Dufferin Grove park!

Susan Bluebird

Beautiful area to sit and enjoy scenery Public bathroom was in need of a good cleaning though Other than that it was quite busy there

Tariq Berry

Hasn't changed a bit. Great park with an older, wooden structure playground. This is more for the younger ages (12 and under). Large open spaces for running around and a splash pad.

Paul Onwubuke

Amazing play ground families with young children, youths, adults. Love the entertainments, drama , farmer's market that feature at different ocassions. The skating rink is amazing during the winter season.

AMB Mercedes

Dufferin Grove is AMAZING! There is so much to do here. I just love this area! FYI it's a bit crazy on the weekends because I have mini panic attacks trying to find my child in the crowds... by the playground! we still have a blast

Yiftach Fehige

Great park. Playground! Always lots of other kids. Off leash dog area. And, the city run activity center has always wonderful programs. Overall, a great neighborhood community park.

Tamil muthukumar

We used to walk around this park almost everyday. Great place if you want to get some active minutes! Nice fall colors and good shade as well

Mac Peters (Macpeters)

It's not a huge park, but a decent size, with big trees, a skate park, a unique play area for kids, and sometimes even live music or other events that you can attend while social distancing.

Mahala Edwards

Great size, very big and spacious. Good location and easy to get to.

H

This is a really big park, it has a playground as well as a lot of space to run around. However, there are encampments at the moment but they don't seem to bother anyone at the park. yes, there are washrooms. there is a splash pad.

Harry Chow

There's a large playground that we bring out kids to. And the trees offer lots of shade during the summer months. Great park

Peter Phu

Has youth & toddler playground. Huge sand box, wading pool for kids. Open grounds with lots of trees for shade to setup picnics. A ping pong table & 1 volleyball net. Restrooms is by the soccer field

W.S. Quist

Nice pockets for every type of picnicker to relax. Conveniently located - run across to Dufferin mall for a popsicle fix. This park is always a great go to for a relaxing afternoon.

etoilethay

This a secret garden in a not so secret location. Just a cross the street from the bustling Dufferin mall and street but walking there gives an instant feeling of relaxation. Big trees, green grass and unpaved walkways with a few benches if you feel like sitting down and reading a book. During summer time there is a farmers market so you can get fresh produce and honey.

Jennifer Switzer

One of the coolest parks in the city. Lots of open green space, sizeable play structure and amazing sand pit.

remy piasan

Of course we went there to appreciate God's creations, trees! Enjoyed the fresh air! The more air will get in into our body, the more healthy we are!

Byron Stephen

I live across from the park and I'm sick of the incampments . The City isn't doing anything to get rid of them !

Gabriel Kerekes

Best community vibes! There was a band there, Angel Band. They were like old old old Jazz out of the history books. Amazing and authentic. Social distanced and everyone was so happy

A. Downey

Wonderful park. You can BBQ there. It also has a decent play ground for children. But due to covid19 and possible financial difficulties there is homeless people with tents up day and night.

Marla Nayer

Nice playground with a very large sandbox area with water accessible so sandcastles are possible.

Adam Jefford

Beautiful trees and the local community really adds a small town feel to a wonderful park. I will often grab a coffee at the Common Espresso bar on College close by and come to this park and read a book.
