REVIEWS OF Berczy Park IN Toronto

John Shardalow

This is a great place to sit and people-watch on a summers day with my dog. The dog fountain is a great attraction for locals and tourists alike. The only reason I gave it a 4-star instead of a 5-star is that the special, ground-level water trough especially there for our canine friends, wasn't working again today. It only started working a few days ago and now it has stopped working. As I sip on my Tim Horton's coffee, my little dog heads straight for that water... but it's broken again!

Bryce Kehoe

Very nice park to sit and have coffee. A slightly sketchy crowd hanging around at the time

Julie Adams

A lovely little park tucked in the middle of downtown Toronto. And someone made masks for all the dogs of the fountain, which was a heartwarming touch during these times of covid-19. Definitely brightened up my day!

Lori Francoeur

We happened upon this park...so cute! The fountain is modeled after puppies. Lots of seating. Nice place to have a picnic or bring your puppy!

Mia Pasion

Loved this park in all season❤❤❤

George Jimenez

Great place to sit and watch the dog fountain. Great location downtown with a bike share station right in front

Udayan Ganguly

This place can be visited to see Gooderham building and the fountain with statues of dogs around. The fountain is closed in winters. The park looks good in Spring and Fall. Situated in downtown a lovely quiet place.

Joshua Grant

The new dog fountain is bizarre in a good way.

Jon Mullin

A cool park with a fun fountain and only a few homeless people. According to Blog to, a great place for a date. Come in the summer and while the sun's out..

Randi Jansdatter Boldevin

Nice and quiet place in the middle of down town.

Jesse Tsao

Great space to chat with friends, having children playing around and sip a cup of coffee. St. Lawrence market is minutes away if hungry. Easily access from Union Station if taking TTC subway.

Tim Wells

Love dog park and the gorgeous fountain

adnan somani

Really amazing and nice park, lookout for the bone lonely cat around the fountain watching the birds with its eyes.

Fernanda Lorena

I love this place but something needs to be done about the pigeons and their feces all over the ground and benches.

Kim

I first went to this park when I visited the for Woofstock a few years ago. The fountain is has great design and an interesting history if you look into it. The park is clean and the neighborhood is clean and inviting and feels incredibly safe.

Alonzo

This place is a good place to sit, have lunch and take it easy. The dog water fountain is definitely something to see. Lots of seating available.

LC B

I try to enjoy lunchtime with my wife as much as possible in this lovely park!

eugene tattoos

One of the most charming and magical parks in the downtown core Fabulous place for photographs

Ken Lem

Beautiful urban park for everyone. Dog statues great for dogs and kids... iconic wall mural behind the flat iron building has been there for decades. Only downside is the homeless sleep on the benches so the benches are not as clean as they look

Rikin Patel

Quiet and clean park hidden in downtown. One of the best place to just sit on grass and relax, no one will disturb you. It has bench for senior citizens and other as well. It also has chairs and tables where you can sit and and enjoy your food if you want to. With a dog theme fountain kids will love to come and play in this park.

Booyaka Stubbs (ExplorewithStubbs.com)

Great place to relax and get your bearings straight. Beautiful multi teared water fountain aligned with dogs spitting water into the fountain. There is 1 single cat by the fountain as well. Plenty of places to rest your barking dogs (sore …

Ahmad Hasan

Chill park in the heart of downtown with a nice fountain and lots of floods ????

Gary Robert Kane

Cute urban park. The doggy fountain is the highlight

Riley K

Berczy Park is a hidden gem in one of the more historic parts of the downtown. It has a few pretty cool pieces of abstract art in the middle of the grassy picnic area. There are tons of benches all over the park as well as a few tables to sit at and have a coffee or breakfast with friends. There's a cute garden too full of flowers.

MysterySteve

Most of this place is just fine. Nothing bad about it, but just pretty nice. It's more the fountain and atmosphere of people there that really make it super duper nice. And that fountain is gorgeous.

Josh Chen

Cool park to relax in the afternoon. An interesting water fountain. Close to Gooderham Building and St Lawrence Market.

Amy Kim

What a fun little park in the city. Great atmosphere and vibe; a Thursday afternoon visit had some people playing live music, complemented by the dog fountain!

Connor Dobos

well-designed urban space with a cool dog fountain and lots of places to sit. Cool backdrop with the flatiron building too. Definitely one of my favourite little parks in the city along with OCAD park.

Edith Rivas

It's nice, in winter akk the snow looks beautiful and creates an amazing background for cute pictures. The park is a bit small thou but I loved the fountain with puppies!

Anita Windisman

A neighbourhood favourite in both the winter and summer. Offers tables and chairs to sit on, as well as many benches. It's famous for its Dog Fountain, that has 27 dogs, 2 cats and 2 birds. See if you can spot them all! You will also find two sculptures in the park too.

Liul Dawit

Nice place for families and singles too. Great for reading and to watch kids laugh. I come trice a week

Liv Paul (liviathane)

So cute. Nice to stop by and eat your market food. Adorable dog fountain.

murathan biliktü

I love this cute little park! Lots of dog owners come here.

Betsy Zhang

Nice little go to downtown park, but in this season the fountains are not operating yet, which kinda bummed me out lol. The doggos around the doggo fountain always put me in a good mood! Come check this little park out if you are ever in the area!

Mona R

Cozy little park. Fun for kids and neat for animal lovers. Lots of puppy sculptures and a big 'ol fountain. Plus great views of the Tower a few steps away. Lots of restos and even a Winner's across the street

M M

Two words: dog fountain ⛲ ???? This park is stellar. Right now there is a tall light display of a bunch of presents stacked with a dog bone on top. It's totally adorable. You can almost always see dogs here. If you're nice, their humans may let you pet them. Always ask first before petting an unknown doggo! ????❤️????

Ronan Frawley

Recently renovated park with some great seeing elements. The animal fountain can be confusing for the real ones since they don't want to play much.

james wilson

Always love dropping by this park. It's not the most dog frendly park because there is no fenced in area but it is a beautiful fountain.

Matthew Ardill

A nice new addition to the neighbourhood, good open spaces and nice mixed purpose layout. The fountain is still in the process of being fine tuned but when fully on is a sight to behold.

Jonathan Lau

This is a very simple park. Nothing for the kids to do except ride the dog statues. In the summertime, kids like to get their hands wet on the spray. Always a good time especially when it's hot out. It is a great way to cool down on a particularly sticky day.

Kevin Hall

Really beautiful place with interesting views. Plus there's great food around

Yani Ioannou

Park with variety, rolling hills, stages, chairs and tables free to use, long benches and of course the dog fountain to top it off.

Mischa Kellen

So many places to sit and rest. The dog fountain is nuclear. Fun.

Vera Perez

Nice park to bring your books and have a moment to read. The Dog Fountain is super cute and there's plenty of seating space for everyone ????????

Alexis Maida

Cute area. I love the fountain. It is also very clean and well kept!

Saejun Young

Pleasant public space with lots of seating! Occasionally hosts events and great for photos. Plenty of shops and restaurants surrounding the park!

Sharad Singh

A nice place to sit and relax, watch other dogs play in the fountain. They have tons of restaurants nearby and also some small little Easter eggs around the place ;)

Kafui Danku

Lovely park ... my kids love it here ... the sitting places nd the occasional music is a plus ????❤️

Chris Walsh

Pretty much known as the park with the dog fountain it has plenty of places to sit and take in the sunshine.

Marcus Sisconetto

Kids enjoy the water dogs a lot!

Tommy Murphy

It was a cold rainy day not the best time to visit. leaves everywhere it still looked good

Amber Van Zitamore

It's beautiful, but they should actually fence off the area and make it into a formal small dog park.... There's not enough space for big dogs to stretch their legs. Besides, our little babies kinda need some more places to go; my baby absolutely will not play if big dogs are around, as he's always looking around, protecting himself from being steamrolled. If they were to do the above, I would ???? give it 5 ????

Heather Scott

This park is a great place to sit and the dog fountain is so cool.

Michael C

The re design of the park was done with forward thinking design lots of seating and for a small park very usable

AJ Clark

This is a great place to relax. The added reclined chairs are perfect. I didn't want to leave. I've been there many times and always enjoy the park. I am glad that the fountain was built. A very relaxing sound. It's a shame that people can't respect the fountain and anti-skateboard nobs had to be put in just to keep the nobs off the artwork. I really enjoy the vast amounts of different pets that people bring. If I was thinking of getting a dog, Berczy Park is a great place to see and meet many dogs and their owners. Poop and scoop. Keep It clean.

Paulina R. Khanna

Love the dog fountain! Great for pictures and for kids...

Violet Palmer

Nice dog park with accessable benches or grass for having lunch or just sit in the sun for a bit

Tim Chase Photography

Walked through St Lawrence today. This park was built right after we moved away. This area is beautiful and so nice to see. Everyone enjoying coffee, reading a book, walking dogs. Great addition to St Lawrence.

Michael Vishenchuk

Very amusing fountain and a great park to relax

Victoria S

One of my favorite parts in the city. So much history and architecture mixed with modern Art. I love coming here to take some pictures, no matter the season. The dog fountain is also so cute. Definitely a place to see if you're a tourist in Toronto.

Jonathan Lemus (Jon)

Beautiful Water fountain. It is nice and well maintained. It's very unique because it has water shooting out of dogs mouths which is cool. I love the fact that dogs passes by and their reaction to the statue dogs are priceless

Екатерина Шевченко

Lovely quiet place. Amazing fountain ????

Enamul Haque

Love to spend lunch break here. Nice friendly environment with a doggy fountain :) Lots of summer musical events to enjoy under the bright sun

Ian DSa

Nice park with plenty of seating options. For anyone that does visit, bring hand sanitizer if you plan on petting the dog statues or better yet avoid doing it all together. You can certainly see where the parts are that people have been touching/petting them.

Sherry C

Came here with the kids in the summer time around the 5 pm. They had fun looking at the dog statues, getting wet by blocking the water at the mouth of the dogs, taking some photos. There is also nice seating areas and a small garden. Great for stopping off to have a lunch outside. Probably would be quite busy when all the office people are having their lunch. There isn't a playground structure but definitely you can burn up some kid energy just by going around and around the fountain ????

Anne Cayer

Cute little park, great for a coffee break stroll. The big dog fountain currently under construction is sure to be a great photo opp once done.

i cruzito

A nice place to have a sit and rest in the bustling downtown area. Plenty of coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, and shopping in the area.

Eric Fung

Amazing leisure playground design not just for the general public, dogs and cats as well. It was a fantastic getaway environment for people to relax their mind, soul and rethink what was truly important in life.

ehsaan Pretoria

Beautiful.murals of dogs

Atelier Ritz

It is a hidden gem in DT Toronto. The dog & cat fountain is definitely a must-visit place. Sometimes there are musicians singing. Good spot for sitting down and having a rest.

justin lovell

Thought the new dog statue was going to be ridiculous.. Which it is.. But for some reason we keep coming back to walk our mini schnauzer and love it here. Instagram @murray_the_dig say hi if you see us!

Mary

Lots of creative sculptures! The fountain is soooooooo cute)))

Rachel Ko

A cute park with art structures, came back here just to snap a pic of the beautiful dog fountain! Benches and seating areas also available.

Karin Eaton

A small oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of Toronto. The dog fountain is quirky. The trompe l'oeil mural by Derek Bessant has dominated the scene since the mid-80's.

Kimbo Hampso

There are dog statues everywhere, even incorporated into a large fountain (which wasnt running when I was there, but still a cute feature due to the dogs) ...really, what's not to love? No actual playground equipment but i still recommend it for kids bc they like climbing on the dogs and it seems easier to maintain social distancing around a fountain than in a traditional playground climber

Mr. Shekar

It’s wonderful place to hangout with dog lovers

Louis Perzia

It's one of the most unique looking parks in Toronto.

Stephen

Lovely spot to sit and people watch. Lots of bench seating and coffee shops nearby. The fountain did not have water on our visit. We enjoyed ourselves.

kramille

Interesting dog park, the golden bone is atop a circular fountain surrounded by admiring dogs. Nice area to walk through with a nearby flatiron building.

Harris Mohsin

Nice place for a walk or to get some fresh air but you won't find easy parking around it and on top of that the ongoing construction work add to it. Other than that nice small spot for evening walk. I was there at the weekend and it was quite crowded.

Ehren Cheung

This is a great little park outside of the winter months to enjoy the sounds of the water fountain while eating lunch. Sometimes you might notice film crews in the area for a commercial or movie. Take care to check out the flatiron building when dropping by too.

Dewan Karim

Recently redesigned to make it more urban and livable place in Toronto. Central attraction is dogs fountain and two hands public art that gives charm old and young alike. Street design next to park was turned into a shared space, extending park outside of park.

Nimish Moon

Nice little park with dog statues around the fountain. All dogs are looking up to the golden bone at the top of the fountain. Spoiler: there's one disinterested cat amongst the cats who just wish to get away from the melee.

Ian Taylor

Nice place to come and just sit and relax and people watch got to meet a real cool beagle pop and its owner and some shots of a very interesting fountain it's right beside the Flatiron Building which also has a very interesting mural on the back side was a great place to sit and cool down on a very warm day

magstar

Wanted to just stay there and soak in all the summer breezes the very moment I walked to the park ????????????????????- dog statues, wide spaces, clean benches ????surrounded by so many of modernly designed buildings, it’s yet a secluded spot to run and yawn ???????? Def gonna revisit here for every season ♾

Matt Clarke

Awesome little park with a really cool large dog fountain in the middle.

6 Kat

This is a pretty nice spot on Front Street. If you are in the area it is worth checking out. The fountain is quite nicely done and there are cool sculptures around the park. Also there is a beautiful rose garden (if you catch it in bloom). There is also a Bansky tag slightly down the street if you walk towards Esplanade. It is framed in a wooden frame and is quite small so keep ur focus if you are trying to find it ✌

alex taylor

A really nice park with a fountain in the middle featuring many cast iron dog statues. Here's a fun challenge: At the fountain there are lots of dogs gazing at the golden bone on top. One lone cat sits at the fountain, can you find it and then figure out what it is staring at? Hint: it is also a statue but of what?

k

Very popular spot for dog owners. The fountain is so cute. A lot of people walk by for the first time and are utterly charmed by it. Watch your step if you walk in the grass. Some owners unfortunately don't pick up after their dogs.

Nir Noam

My son loves water and dogs so this is the perfect combination ????

Stephen Kobus

Berczy Park is undergoing a massive renewal and revitalisation. It's set to be unveiled to the public, after a few delays on October 31, 2016. This will be a dog-friendly park with a magnificent fountain that'll be dog-and-bone-themed, of course. The city arborists have taken special care in the planning of this park; native trees and space for the trees to grow.

Ev Delen

Fantastic, newly renovated park featuring a whimsical fountain with 27 dogs and one cat. Children are encouraged to play with the water. Rolling hills around the park add a place to lean back and read a book. Benches abound to sit and watch people walk by.

Maria Camila Parra Sarmiento

Nice park????

Befus

Lovely park near St Lawrence market, located right behind Toronto's Gridiron building. The dog fountain is my favourite fountain in the city.

Michael Benjamin

Relaxed park with an entertaining fountain to watch and get lost with

Poonam Mane

Nice park in the heart of city. The fountain has dogs statues around it and water comes from their mouths. Insta worthy place. There are many cafes, restaurants nearby. Must visit place for dog lovers

Mark Vigna

Great Park to soak up some of downtown Toronto. Quite busy so the seating space can be limited, with social distancing in mind. The fountain is fantastic with all the dog statues. Great place for people watching.

Anna Kania

This place has been under construction for a while. Yesterday my hubby and I finally saw the newly opened park with the funny dog fountain. There were many people with dogs and everyone seemed to have a nice time. Really a joy to behold!

Tanya Circosta

This is a beatuful park. First time visiting today. Lovely shady trees to sit under, there was a busker music playing and the fountain was very peaceful to look at. Such a lovely place to sit and eat lunch and relax.

rosaura paz

Beautiful place good vibes

Jui Joglekar

A beautiful canine - human park with a majestic dog fountain ! A good place to hang out with ur furry friends. Sometimes you will also see some really good street plays happening in or around the park.

Christi Volden

Such a pleasant place to stumble upon while in the area for a conference! Clean park with whimsical fountain and intriguing hands sculptures.

Yonge Au

Nice and peaceful. Always great to be around the area. The fountain has lots of detail. Besides the dogs at the fountain and the few cats, try finding the birds.

Ekaterina Kosyachkova

Cute park with the famous "dog fountain". Situated right beside St Lawrence market and the Gooderham Flatiron building. Grab a bite to eat and enjoy the sights!

Pamela Whaley Denham

This place is right across the street from the big market, people who are artists of one kind or another, play their music, paint their pictures, smoke some week! It's all peace and love in this Park, my friends!

Sandra Santhosh

Great place to spent time with loved ones... Will surely get great experience.. Lawrence market is just walkable distance from here.. And you can capture an awesome view of CN tower from here.

Oliver

Nice little park, even nicer after dusk due to nice Christmas lights, although the dog fountain was shutdown due to winter but apparently it's really neat to see when it's on.

Roshanak Ashrafi

LOOK AT DAT CAT... what's not to like? Lotsa space lotsa sunshine

Sa'ad Talia

I love this fountain. It's an oasis on busy Front Street.

Andrew Gaz

Best place to hang out if you have a pet

Roy Schwartzman

Very pleasant area to relax away from the bustle of the city without going far from the cafes and shops. A few other fun & interesting sculptures in the park as well.

David Ramsden

The square is nothing to write home about but if you are in the area it’s worth going just to see the dog fountain.

Irina Belaya

Such a lovely place!

Karen Monahan

A lovely oasis in the middle of chaos and gridlock. Lucky for everyone a gentleman entertained us with Spanish music on his guitar. Perfect!

Kris Reynolds

The dog fountain was a HUGE hit with my 2 year old and 7 year old boys. Nice spot with plenty of tables to have a fun lunch on a sunny day.

Laura Belli

Very nice park do just sit and chill with a dog water fountain. Apparently this is the park to come to for Pokeman Go.

TOTTA

I love the animal fountain but be aware that animals drink from it. I also love what I call the illusion building because frome far you think that the are fixing something but they aren't.

paul o

Great dog fountain - at night when it's lit it's beautiful - looking like a crown. The park is next to the Flatiron building - nestled between 2 busy streets - lots of room to sit and take in the skyscrapers of TO!

Shawn Robley

Great park just west of St-Lawrence Market. Not big but a nice little green space to sit and take a break if you've been walking a lot. The fountain is the main attraction with the dog statues

Jason Fernandez

Wonderful statues located in the downtown core. Close to several food and drink options. Always a busy place but can still kick back and relax.

Susan Tuckey

Such a whimsical and vibrant park. It has been different this year with Covid-19, but normally, it's fun to watch people and dogs' interactions with the fountain. I'll sit in the park to get some sun exposure. Sometimes we'll go to the park and sit after dinner. So much going on. A definite destination when in Toronto - and even if you live in Toronto.

Cristal Bittencourt

Nice little park. Great place to spend some time reading or just chilling.

charles omere

Nice place to decompress from work. Fountain is cooling in the summer as you walk around to release work stress. Trees provide adequate shade if you just want to chill and read a book or watch the kids chase pigeons.

Peter Hill

Brilliant statue of little dogs then they go to this bar and have some doggy treats the wings and the service is brilliant too.

Dale Dietrich

Brand new. Newly opened on 2017. I preferred the old one. They cut down most of the trees. Before about 80% of it was grass covered. Now about 30% is grass with so much more concrete. They replaced a reasonable fountain with an embarrassing kitschy fountain with dozens of dog statues looking up at a golden bone. Some love it. I find it embarrassing. The only improvements that I can think of is that they added a water refill station and removed the coves that the homeless people used to use to defecate and urinate in the park. So there is that. On the plus side. It is, as always, some welcome green space in the heart of downtown.

Rishabh Kohli

Great place with good view of high rises

Madhukumar Menon

Berczy park is a nice iconic urban park in Toronto downtown, a little greenery just behind the Gooderham building.

Phil Walker

A beautiful park with lots of public seating. A great place to take your lunch and enjoy during the day. There's an area specifically for easy drainage so dogs can pee. Most people affectionately refer to it as "Dog Fountain Park". It is unfortunate that they had to add rounded spikes to all the street furniture to deter skateboarders from destroying the property. A must visit park for a relaxing afternoon without the crowds of other major parks.

Katrina S

Everyone loves this park! Go for the selfie with dog fountain but stay for the breath of fresh air in the middle of busy part of town. Can be peaceful in the mornings and bustling with dog walkers in the afternoons.

Francisco Ros

It would seem a bit strange an ornamental fountain dedicated to dogs, the grace lies in that deep bond of some people with their pets. It is simply phenomenal. You should not miss the visit.

Mohammed Asker

It's very beautiful and relaxing specially during work days.

Lawrence C

If you love dogs, you really need to visit this place.

Jessica P

I really like this park, it's just a short distance from the St. Lawrence Market so it's a convenient place for a picnic lunch. It's also popular with the puppers and you can see a bunch of cute dogs here.

Matt Mernagh

Great green space in the heart of Old Toronto. A summer session here is fun b/c of the dog fountain, but the amount people does create hectic vibe. Wonderful space to take some selfies. Everyone loves the dog fountain. Nearby St. Lawarence Markert makes this place a lovely space to mellow afterward.

Yiqian Li

Nice tiny park for photo shooting.

Andrew Thomas

This is a quiet small park that is probably mainly known for what I call the "dog fountain". The fountain seems to be the main attraction for kids and adults alike. Kids love it and adults like taking pictures around it. There are a fair amount of benches around and they seemed well maintained and clean. To the rear there is a small green space that seems to be the favourite of dog lovers. Overall the park is a great place to sit relax and enjoy some quiet time or a great, simple fun place to take the kids.

Corey Vidal

Renovated just a few years ago, and received a fountain dedicated to dogs. At the very top is a golden bone. If you love dogs, this park is charming, heartwarming, and wholesome. Note: while this is a park that celebrates dogs, this is not a dog park.

Nelson Chan

What better place to walk your dogs than this beautiful park dedicated to your furry friends? Love the water fountains in the summer.

K L

Cool concept for design, no experience in water features or the use of windsensensors? Area was soaked, passerbys had to avoid the splashing water being thrown by wind No thought process into soil coposition and the effects of all the pet urine? Park through my stinks of urine, grass dieing, trees not protected? Even with all the talks about the effects of pet urine on condo common ground. It tenders a contract like this without any thoughts of the above, despite the huge discussion amongst designers/architects about the available solutions. Minimal benches to sit on, water fountains/ troughs for pets to drink from Tisk tisk

Matt Gallant

This park is so beautiful and whimsically designed. The dog fountain is a cute touch. There are always people here just hanging out and relaxing, kids playing.

Mary LaCivita

Downtown Toronto is full of small parks with seating areas but this is one of the most interesting and functional parks downtown. The park is full of comfortable benches facing every direction. Plenty of recycling bins and a short walk to St. Lawrence Market. The fountain in the middle of the park is the best part. There are dozens of statues of dogs on all three levels. Water is shooting out of each dog's mouth and falling into the fountain. There are two cat statues in the park - one farther away from the fountain ontop of an electric box and you almost miss it - neither have water coming from their mouths. This is the perfect spot to take a break and people and dog watch in a beautiful relaxing setting. If you love dogs, this is your place!ü

Ravi Sohal

Beautiful place in spring and summer. It is one of the best places to see in Toronto. Nice foundation.

julie buckham

Love this place! Happy dogs and people everywhere . Fountain of course is a pull with all the dogs spouting water and there are 2 cats- one at the entrance and one on the fountain. Great place to sit and chill.

Jami Zehr

Such a cool park to walk around the art installation. And water fountain were great. Places to sit and enjoy the day.

elisa ecker

The dog fountain is a lot of fun, and the surrounding park space offers a great little spot to take in downtown Toronto.

Bev S

Lovely park close to stores and restaurants in a picturesque part of the City. Intersting architecture - old and new and St Lawrence Market just up the street. A good place to take break and get some sun in between shopping.

Christine Custodio

Fantastic open and green space in the heart of the city. Recently renovated. Lots of office workers use it to enjoy lunch outdoors in warm weather. Dog owners walk their dog day and night. The park has a dog themed fountain. Well lit at night.

Javier Castellanos

Renovated park. I was a bit of a wasted area before the renovation. The park is attracting a lot of people. I visited it with my daughter couple days ago. As an animal lover she had a blast. A fountain with dogs' sculptures around and couple cats as well. Beautiful attraction for this area. Highly recommended.

Vadim

Love this park. So many good memories. I used to come down to eat my lunch and just sit on the grass, enjoy the summer weather. I will also never forget when Woodstock took place here and seeing all the dogs frolicking in the fountain actually inspired me to get a dog myself. The 2016 redesign definitely made it even better and .ore modern, while it still maintained it's original beauty and cosiness. Easter Egg: the cat is focused on something. What is it?

Peter Oulahen

Little doggie park in the heart of Toronto with a fountain for them plus birds and 2 cats here and over there are 2 cats fore sure + ?.

Dr.Amani Albijadi

So charming place♥️♥️

Lisa James

A bit of nature, some patios or just a seat in a clean park with lots of pubs and good food steps away. CC Whiskey Lounge has great wings and Panzerroti, music on the sidewalk and amazingly friendly staff!

Andre Campbell

It's a great place to get away and unplug for a little in the middle of the day. It's quite a calm and refreshing park in the middle of the city. If you so happen to work nearby, definitely a must visit place if you're on break.

Nicholas Rai

The addition of the dog fountain in July 2017 makes the park quite a fun place to relax at. Good restaurants are nearby this historic location

Rain Maker

Very beautiful park. There are nice flowers surrounding the park, with mini grassy knoll hills to sit on and lay with a loved one, friend or just have a picnic and relax. Plenty of seats around so you won't have any trouble finding a seat for yourself. The fountain is a very unique one, which has many dog statues surrounding the fountain, shooting water out of their mouths. As you can guess from the fountain, it's a great spot to walk your beloved dog too.

Mike Schubert

Cute fountain, nice place to stop for a few minutes and play with the kids and the dogs.

Libi Mirkin

Beautiful place to stop and enjoy your coffee. There are some tables and chairs to sit down.

Ashok Sahu

Nice park to spend some free time during office hours.

jake K

A beautiful fountain with all the dogs and 1 cat pity the water was off.

Sushmita Srivastava

Beautiful and peaceful! My doggo loved it

Marc de Montigny

Updated: February 2022 Fountain has become the Trevi Fountain of Toronto (GTA) with lots of tourist stopping by for a great photo op. Even in winter, when the dogs are wearing scarves knitted by local neighborhood knit group. Don't miss out on one of Toronto top attractions. ----------------------------------------------------------- Newly redone with huge Dog themed fountain and piazza look space. Also a dog "pee gravel" area in addition to a bit (not a lot) green space.

Sonja Cori Missio

My dog's favourite spot in Toronto!

Jasbir

No fountains during COVID-19, it appears.

Kai Feuerstake

Nice to walk the dogs....

Ashok Tak

Lovely location ???? and the best spot for pets ???????????? they love fountain ⛲️

Suleimy Rios Aguilar

Beautiful and quiet place with tables and green areas. People likes to bring their dogs to play and walk around. Few blocks away from St. Lawrence Market, so you can buy something to eat there and have a picnic

Frank Nows

Extraordinary fountain. Dogs form the basic motif of this ensemble of water games. A beautiful place to rest and linger in the hustle and bustle of the city. The water games calm the mind and let the soul dangle.

Leonard E

Berczy Park is a small triangle-shaped park in downtown Toronto Ontario beside the heritage-designated Gooderham Building. I love the two-tier fountain that features statutes of 27 dogs and a lone cat. There is plenty of bench seating if you just want to relax or be entertained by a busker.

Paola Rivera Parra

An amazing little park with an interesting fountain with dogs around it. A lot of coffee shops near and places to sit. Gooderham building just next to it.

Frank Petriglia

One if my favourite parks in the city, close to St Lawrence Market, lots of dogs, of course the dog fountain with 26 dogs, 2 cats and 2 birds (you will find the birds if you follow the cats eyes from the fountain) all part of the million dollar design. Love this place.

Amazing park! During Christmas/new years Eve there is a lot of decaration and it is a very wonderful park. There is a real life "easter egg" in this park, at the fountain there are multiple metal dogs looking at a golden bone, but there is also one singular cat surrounded by the dogs, the cat is looking at a lamppost with birds on it.

Cedric Woo

Its a nice place to bring the dog. Was annoyed by some guy who tried to sing his poem. Wish he'd just take the money and leave instead of insisting I listen to the entire thing

Mida Gouveia (Mida)

Great dog park but sort of worrying because of the crackheads and no fence surrounding the park. It isn’t that much of a great place to take your dog if you’re trying to play with them or give them some exercise. It’s more suited for a walk and to drop by and meet other dogs.

Konstantin Shaburov

This place looks amazing after the renovation. Love to come here. This park looks very cozy.

Master iOqY

A nicely sized urban park that showcases a new Dog Fountain with the Gooderham flatiron building on its eastern bank. A welcome respite to have lunch outside and people watch.

Jad Aoun

A great green space in the center of downtown Toronto. The Dog Fountain looks wonderful and a small stage is also there for musical performances. While we were there, a violinist was performing during the midday lunch hour which proved quite entertaining for the office workers on their break.

Carlo Franco

This is a great park to sit at and catch up with a friend, read a book, or just people watch. Quite a relaxing experience being here.

Michael Yanni

It’s one of the most interesting parks you will go to just make sure you Google it first

Christopher Lucki

Toronto did a good job (for once) in creating a public space. Seems that every inch of downtown is turning into a condo tower - which if fine but, where will all the residents go for outdoor recreation?

Amanda Long

Lovely green space with dog fountain. Seating, walkways, relaxing area in the middle of the bustling city.

Prashant Dc

One of the best parks in downtown. It’s not that big but the mural on the gooderham and the dogs around the fountain are just beautiful.

Rabih Husseini

Nice urban park! Tables and chairs available for public, many nearby restaurants..

Lorde The First

Great park ... the dog ???? statues are beautiful and there was a singer entertaining people … so beautiful with seats to relax and a a great view

Lynn Flatley

Met a friend here on a lovely summer day. This lively urban park has many seating options, lots of shade or sun, a little dog walk. Its well loved by the lunch crowd and tourists are delighted by the one-of-a-kind fountain. Lots of selfies.

Alexandra Defreitas

To those curious about the curious cat, she is actually looking directly at two statue birds pirched on a lamppost just beside the fountain. Even more cleverly in turn, the birds are watching a hidden second cat statue placed on top of an electrical box towards the south-west corner of the park! To what easter egg that cat is looking at though, is still a mystery to those except the artist!

Jamie Chesson

Awesome park that’s in the middle of the city, not much else to say really. I’d highly recommend seeing the Gooderham building as well, it’s a Toronto landmark.

Dorothy

It's a cute fountain :) nice park little park in the middle of the concrete jungle

Danbee Eom

Cute place in the St.Lawrence Market area! It's not too busy usually and sometimes they have outdoor performances. There's plenty of tables, benches, and grassy areas to sit. Great place to bring a book and read or relax during lunch!

Anderson Kaiser

Historic park with a nice building. The graffiti is really interesting and the dog fountain is pretty cool. Lot of restaurants close.

Xoan A

A great park dog lovers. The quirky fountain and the open green areas are excellent for children. Be mindful of the two wide streets that surround the park.

Adrian Reyes

Iconic fountain + bistro tables + free wifi make this the best al fresco office in St. Lawrence Market

John Recker

Beautiful little park in the heart of the city. Lots of seating. Good place for a book and coffee.

Bria Trudeau

This is a great little parkette to enjoy a meal anytime of day. It is surrounded by a variety of shops from restaurants, grocery stores and boutiques. Not to mention a cannabis and lcbo shop right across the street. Perfect place for pets but of course. Even more so, a quaint little sweet spot to spend some alone time reading or catching up on thoughts. If you're in the area and have some time to kill, suggested.

Jacqueline

Small park with a lovely atmosphere and right in the middle of the downtown core. The dog fountain, the large mural, and the beautiful architecture of the neighbouring buildings are the highlights of this gem.

Ann Marie Salem

The dog and cat fountain is pretty cool making the park unique and interesting for kids. Nice place to take a break. Not a place to go if you don't like animals though!

Evergreen NJ

I have seen the before and after of this park and the difference is huge. This literally changed the atmosphere of the area. People are coming more and staying longer at the park, with their friends their dogs or their books. Really pleased with the design and the effort that city made to change downtown.

Angela Puccini

A great choice for an outdoor meeting spot. Water fountain was especially lovely lit up at night

Jovin Tardif

I really love the fountain at Berczy Park. It is very unique. I love how #toronto has all the hidden gems. If you like people watching, this is a great location. Both tourists and Torontonians wander through this area. It is a great attraction if you want to take a group photo. It is right near Union Station. Enjoy! #whatonwhatsgood #2regularjos

Sara Boers

One of my favourite city center parks! A lot of great restaurants to grab food from and enjoy a picnic. Also a great place to sit with a coffee and just enjoy the little gardens.

Neha Mishra

Yes the park is beautiful but one must take care of their pets. Tonight was a night that I’m not going to forget. A dog tried to attack me and be would have succeeded if his owner didn’t called him TWICE! I was going to see a show in a theatre and suddenly a dog came running out of nowhere and tried to attack me. Please dog owners don’t unleash your dogs if they are wild. Thank god my baby was not with me at that time otherwise I don’t know what could’ve happened

Francisco Escarameia

After renovations it became an amazing park. Worth to visit and enjoy. The new fountain is awesome.

Lei W

Nice small park with dog status fountains in summertime

Samantha Hahn

Very neat park. Has a cute Dog fountain. If you love dogs the fountain is really cool to check out.

Florence McCambridge

I love what Claude Cormier did with Berczy Park. Before this renovation the park always felt kind of empty to me, a waste of space in a really great area of the city. But now, both residents and tourists spend time in the park. And everyone smiles when they look at the dog fountain. How could you not?

Vi Vi

It is a beautiful small park to rest and walk dogs. Also there are numbers of nice restaurants with patios and shops around that you can check with.

Brian Low

Located behind the Flatiron building, this park is an oasis amongst the many skyscrapers. The fountain is a centerpiece to a wonderful communal space and provides a fantastic view of the core!

Basil M

Nice relax park in the middle of the busy downtown Toronto and financial district fountain is beautiful

Sara Mencia

For those working nearby Berczy Park is the best Getaway to reboot your energy! Plenty of seating, embedded in the city and with a lovely theme. Just stop by, you'll enjoy the view and vibe!

Luisa D

Gorgeous park!!!! LOVE all the statues of pups of all breeds surrounding the fountain! Plenty of seating and situated in an awesome part of the city, very close to the St. Lawrence market!

Abhi

A great spot in downtown to enjoy the look of the city. Beautiful urban park for all. They have benches to sit down & people watch, fountains looks really charming

Erik N.

Fun place to relax during your lunch break. The dog fountain is really neat! No one will ever remember the name of this park but everyone will remember the dog fountain!

Ahmed Alshanar

Good place to stop by and relax. The dog themed fountain was great.

Michael Laudij

I really love Urban Design, the kind that takes into account the many needs and desires of people... so, not simply a spartan green space with austere and uncomfortable benches, but a park with what amounts to many personalized touches that make it unique and provide people with a pleasant experience. This is one of the those kinds of parks; I'm so glad I live in the neighbourhood as I look forward to watching Berczy Park mature.

Clare Burns

Adorably little park. Very clean and well kept.

Adam Reaume

This small paved park has a cool fountain with statues of various dog breeds around it

Richard Khairov

Cool fountain. Really close to st Lawrence market

Inna F.

Just a regular parkette kind of thing with a unique dog fountain. Has plenty of space to hang out on the grass or the tables and chairs.

Dr. Ratna Chaudhary

A perfect place for our pooches to walk and play. Visit this park regularly all through summers and Fall. Visited it in February this year. The sunny day was spent taking loads of pics and listening to the chirping of birds. An oasis in Downtown .

Erika

It used to be a nice place but now it attracts a lot of pot and tobacco smokers.Be aware if you have respiratory problems.

D C

I love this park and it's water fountain is exquisite! I enjoy sitting there, watching the dogs and enjoying a beverage.

Jonathan Finlay

Great park! Clean, not too busy and the crowds were quiet even though a film was shooting. Would have been nice to see the rest of the park but part of it was shutdown for the aforementioned filming.

Anne McCance

Great new park design and somewhere to sit and enjoy the city and the great old buildings on Front st!

Mike Jorgenson

Wonderful small town park for people and dogs in the heart of the city. Everything you want borders the park and down the street from St.Lawrence market. Perfect!

Asiya Patel

This park used to be really scary and not somewhere I wanted to walk through in the evenings, but since the renovation and addition of the fountain in 2016, not only has it become safe - it's also super family friendly, making it a great addition to the neighbourhood.

Prince Partap

It's a nice place to hangout there is a fountain in the park and people usually enjoy the sun in there or bring their pets for a evening walk.

Marie Austria

I like the park because the breez from the fountain makes you feel cool in the hot summer. You can relax while drinking beverages as it is surrounded by restaurant, stores .

Rodrigo Gonçalves Labiapari Ghetti

It's a fantastic place specially if you like dogs!!!

Alex Beath

Classic European style fountain / public square. Very busy during Monday to Friday business hours - great for people watching and occasional live music.

Adam Toner

Great remodel of the park that really made it a plaza for that part of the neighborhood.

Anish Bhavsar

Terrific fountain display to take your dog for a walk or just sit in the sun and feel the fresh air in the middle of the city. Plenty of sitting space and tables to also sip a cup of coffee.

Tim Glutek

Berczy Park is located just behind the Flat iron Building and is a block from the St. Lawrence Market. It was recently redone and is a beautiful dog park that is lovely for people as well. The enormous dog fountain is quite nice and see is you can spot the 2 cats there. Great place for a picnic lunch with food from the market in summer.

Chad Wismer

Very beautiful park, love the huge dog water fountain spouting the water high to the top. Definitely worth checking out, great atmosphere.

Robert Saunders

The dog fountain is wonderful, especially at night.

Brittany Toll

Imaginative fountain. But the park is very small! Really not much there but the fountain and places to sit. It is downtown though, so if you want to take your lunch there its great!

Sui Aya

Beautiful park and views.

Adam D

Amazing little park. Has a fountain covered in cute little puppy statues and a building with a 3D painting on the side overlooking it. Definitely worth seeing.

Cassidy Horrigan

One of my favorite parks, the atmosphere around Christmas is amazing!

paul c

It is small park with interesting fountains and sculptures. Nice place to have a stroll after lunch. Refresh your mind. Relax your body. Recharge yourself to face the afternoon challenges.

Frank A

Cute local parkette. Has the infamous dogs (and 1 cat - try to spot it) water fountain. It's in Old Town Toronto so close to a lot of take out places, but it's not a huge park so it can fill up especially during lunchtime.

Iskie Isketerol

A great place to visit in a weekend. Very popular hangout for dog owners.

T L

Cute public area with a water fountain to have your lunch on a nice day. Cafes nearby, grassy areas and patio tables and chairs available with shade

Jason Fraser

A nice quiet place to sit and relax when do you bring your dogs or your kids it's a nice place to relax

John Serpa

This park has seen a major renovation. The old fountain has been replaced with a new one fit for all dog lovers. It has extensive seating, along with a cozy seating area for a smaller group to talk or pass the time.

Naureen Lakhani

The Centre of this park is of course the dog fountain! It's a beautiful sight that all animals and people alike can enjoy. There are many benches for sitting and also lots of ppl having picnics on the grass. I went in August and there was a theatre company that came and did live Shakespeare in the park. And right next to the iconic Gooderham building

Claudio Costantini

Really interesting park with a dog themed fountain that has dog statues all around it. Children are amazed by them and come and play with the dogs and have so much fun. There is a statue of a cat that seems to say: "Oh, oh, how do I get out of here?".

Maria Azzari

Beautiful new park with an amazing fountain and benches to sit and just breath

Janet Jackson

You Gotta go there and see this! Especially dog lover! Laid back family fun outing (for free! Take a picnic lunch!) Check Google/ web for info so you don't miss anything (small cat/bird statues/ 'golden' bone on top of statue....a 'real' dog's water trough on bottom rim of the fountain....bring your dog along for your visit !

Nicky Lewis

Cute little dog park in the heart of the city.

Arturo Buenaventura

Great park to be with a friend or a pet. The sculptures on the center piece water fountain are beautiful

E.

Pretty nice park, although a lot of marijuana smokers all day. So if you have children, elders, have any respiratory condition or just do not want to breath marijuana avoid this place.

Jeremy Axon

Recently redesigned park next to the historic flatiron building. Some controversy locally in regards to the dog fountain sculpture, but the playfulness of this recent installation sits well against the backdrop of the flatiron building's older pop-art-esque mural.

Camelia L

I like walking in this park. Brings back memories! I find this also one of the oldest parks in Toronto.

Fiorino Guido

Cool dog fountain

Lynda Coxon

Loved it. Very unusual and a centre piece for the area.

Recently renovated Berczy Park (named after William Berczy, a compatriot of John Graves Simcoe) is a beautiful little parkette near the St. Lawrence Market. An excellent spot to take a break for a few minutes. Absolutely love the new fountain! Someone clearly let the dogs out and I'm glad they did.

Amenah Rashid

Good for dog and people watching, plenty of seating areas with shade.

Abrahim Farah

Nice place to sit and enjoy the city. Sad the dog fountain is not with water

Priscila Lo

Nice place to rest and to stay with friends!

Bonnie Dew

Love taking the dogs to Berczy Park. There are benches around to sit and soak up the sun. Also love the new water fountain with all of the dog sculptures. My only disappointment is it doesn't have a closed in area for dogs to run.

Hannah DeGeer

If you love dogs you have to come and get your picture taken at the Berczy Park water fountain. The flat iron building is close by if you are interested in unique architecture.

Waldo Marxx

Very nice place for morning coffee

Courtney Mattix

It's very beautiful and It's amazing for dogs to bad Montreal didn't have something like this
