The Thunder Bay Museum is a great museum. Wheelchair accessibility is pretty good with a ramp up to the front door and elevator inside to access the the other floors. My impressions with the museum is that, for a small city, it is a modest museum with a decent collection sure to be of interest to children and adults. They do have a small gift shop that is worth checking out as well.

Covers I good bit of history about the area. The only problem is that it skips the history between the first people in the area and post-colonization. Seems fairly whitewashed. Friendly staff, some interesting exhibits.

I was there for dinner on my way back home. The food was excellent. The servers were very good as well. It was Thursday night and it seemed to be wing night. They served a different craft beer from Thunder Bay and Kenora. I will stop and eat there again when I can.

Interesting and fun way to learn about our city and area and also hosts kids birthday parties for a reasonable price with fun craft activities the kids loved. All the people working there were great and its a perfect alternative to the usual birthday spots where you and your rugrats will learn something new. They also mentioned there are 'camps' for March and summer break. ????????????????????

It's a very small local museum but great place to bring children. Relatively inexpensive and doesn't take long to go through. They currently have the Albertasaurus on display.

This was a great local museum to visit on my trip. Went on a Tuesday because admission was free. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it was a great way to spend the day. It could have had a larger First Nations section, however, and not everything was labelled, but otherwise it was a good trip. I especially loved the "Local Music History" section!

Alyssa Belanger
