Beautiful walks anytime of the year

Marina Park is a great place to see beautiful sunrises. I love to walk around the island and along the boardwalk. When the waves are pounding the shore during a storm, I prefer to listen from the car and watch the spray of the water splash over the huge rocks. Marina Park has something for everyone. There is a skateboard park, playground, movies in the summer, concerts. Blues Festival, Canada Day celebrations and fireworks and a marina for boats to park. Sail Superior does sail boat tours from the marina and there are sailboat races that can be seen from shore. For those interested, there is a place you can go to where extra hands are taken aboard as crew.

I like this park, it is a really special place for me. I visit with friends and family. Great views of the lake and the boats. There are fantastic events in both the summer and the winter, such as the festival of colors, Canada day, films, pride day, snow sculpting and more. However I always feel that something here is missing. I wish there were more historical attractions to see and more area to walk across and discover.

I walked a couple laps around the Marina. There are activities of all sorts going on here. Sailboats, BBQ, Skate Park, Concerts and more. A great place to walk around and enjoy the scenery of the sleeping giant. I could sit there all day if I bring some food with me picnic style. If I didn't have anything to eat, I would still be in walking distance to quite a few top notch restaurants in the area. One of these fine establishments is Bight Restaurant & Bar located in the Delta Hotel located in the Marina park area. If you are new to town, this is a very good starting point to explore the businesses and beauty of the Marina Park

Honestly, it's a cool place to hang out but there's sometimes sketchy people hanging around... one time I was at the skatepark and some dude started yelling at everyone for clogging the toilet, like what??? But it's always a cool place to go with friends and walk around. Needs some more cleaning, some litter, the skating rink is always pretty too in the winter. It's a must see if your visiting tbay though.

Marina Park is a scenic place to walk along the waterfront of Lake Superior. With views of the Sleeping Giant and a Lighthouse. Bring a picnic and the kids! There are picnic tables for your use. The marina is pretty with the sailboats and yachts.

Very beautiful and good looking park in Thunder Bay. It is near the shore of Lake Superior. The Aesthetic and scenic view from the park is really awesome. It is close to the waterfront terminal. Public are allowed without any fee. People usually comes for jogging or walk out with dogs and comes for hangout. The sleeping giant view from the park is quite awesome. There will be lot of boats anchored in the Bay harbour. There are also some historical remainings in this park. Washrooms are available. During winter the water fountain will be used for shoe skating practices.

Great place for a walk, or to sit in your car, have a coffee or whiskey, and look at the Giant laying in the giant lake in front of you. Great venue for summer concerts. Beautiful area to spend some time in, take pictures.

There is so much to do down there from going for walks along the beautiful walking trails,the splash pad (winter skating on it), the playground for the kids, the skate park, the art studio, seeing the old train station, staying at the new hotel or having dinner in the restaurants.

Marina Park is a big park situated in northern Thunder Bay. You can find numerous monuments here. The views of the surrounding landscapes are absolutely gorgeous. There are enough parking spots as well. The area is so big that this place rarely feels crowded at all.

Marina Park is a local gem on the shore of Lake Superior just a short walk away from the north side downtown (once known as and still frequently referred to as downtown Port Arthur). The park features a skateboard park, a marina, children's playground, a restaurant, many pedestrian trails, and a splash pad that doubles as a skating rink during the winter months. A stage is also setup during the summer for festivals and concerts. Pedestrian access to the park from the downtown north core is still in a state of reconstruction and there is still no date as to when it will be reinstalled. Parking in and around the park can also be a huge issue especially during scheduled events and in some instances sections, if not all of the park can be shut off to the public. Even with these challenges, Marina Park is a place that everyone can enjoy which is one of the shining jewels in Thunder Bay.

Thunder Bays waterfront park features a boat launch, docking, fuel station and boardwalk along the shoreline for pedestrians. Serene in the morning with beautiful sunrises and busier through the afternoon as people get their exercise in for the day. Winters offer a skating park and serene access to the frozen waters.

A great park with good parking and many nights attractions. There's a large modern playground for kids and walking pads along the shoreline to see the Sleeping Giant and passing ships. Wednesday evenings in the summer post outdoor concerts in the park. There are public washrooms available.
