You have the information of real people who bought the products of Fairbank Provincial Park (Park) in the territory close to Sudbury (Canada).
As of day the firm gets a score of 4.3 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is really good, and it is based on a very high number of reviews, so we can conclude that the score is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park belongs to the category of State park.
Campsite was not private at all. Nice beach though
Well-maintained park very family-friendly. The water is clean with only a handful of motorized boats. We've been going for years!
The road in is no good and the camp staff pretend to be little spies at night.
The lots are quite small, not level and ruff. The picnic table is full of old food and stuff. Plus, there isn't much privacy. They even charge for extras like access to electricity, an extra vehicle permit, or bigger lots. However, there are bathrooms all across the lot that are easily accessible. They also have special facilities at the front with laundry machines, showers and wheelchair accessible bathrooms. The beach is nice, the water is clear and calm with a small park and picnic tables. The view is gorgeous.
its a very nice park with lovely water and nice camp sites
The road going in is TERRIBLE. the comfort station is run down and needs cleaning
wonderful place for camping, the morning mist was a totally out of the world experience
The park is nice... Beaches were nice and clean. I can't comment on the facilities as we had an RV and didn't need any of them. We did notice lots of grounds crew driving around so I assume they were taking care of the facilities/grounds. I can't give the path a 5 star though simply because of the drive in. I have never seen so many pot holes in my life. The only good thing about the drive was what we thought was only going to be a quick 10 min nap for my son... Turned out to be closer to 40 mins because of the speed we were driving. Read the comments after visiting the park so it looks like the road conditions have been like this for a while. If you have an RV or trailer, be sure to strap everything down.
Very nice sight.
Nice small park, great for overnight stay if you traveling north.
Park is nice but privies were limited and not cleaned once in our 3 day stay. Last day there was literally feces all over 1 of only 2 stalls. In time of covid19 you would think these limited privies would be cleaned and sanitized multiple times a day.
Not a bad provincial park, but a bit tired and needs some TLC. The beach is nice, the one trail is a good hike for even our elementary school kids. Bad things: We were here during COVID-19, so the showers were closed and then there was also a boil water advisory put into place for the second half of our trip. Also the signage isn't very good and we ended up at the far end of the campground and had to loop back the entire way because there wasn't any signs saying take the first left to get to our spot. Word of caution, the road into the park is very, very bumpy (had to slow way down to keep from bouncing our trailer to bits) and some of the hills in the park are very steep. Our front wheel drive van pulling a tent trailer lost traction on one of them and it was a bit dicey getting up. Oh, and there is only a single comfort station and the entire time only one toilet on the men's side was working. But the actual park is good. We will be trying other parks before coming back again, but if they ever refresh the infrastructure we would put it higher on our list.
Nice park. Busier than I remembered it to be; may just be due to the summer of covid though. Best camp sites are on the water. Pull through sites are very close together with very little privacy.
A good park for car camping; potable water and toilets are spread throughout the campsite, and there's a comfort station that offers showers and laundry if you have an extended stay. Some of the campsites are nice and secluded, but many of them cater to RVs. Rent a canoe for $25 for six hours and get out on the lake... It's fabulous!
Nice location, friendly staff. However, the park itself is old and run down. Picnic tables old and held together by duck tape, our site wasn't raked or cleaned prior to arrival, garbage in firepit, roads full of pot holes. Not our favorite park stay this summer.
Nice park. Clean. Friendly staff. Wish the fishing was as good :(
Very relaxing and beautiful scenery
Nice park. Great to get away from phones for a weekend
I stayed at this park for a night during my visit to Manitoulin. The park was alright the lot sizes were big. But the park amenities were bad, the toilets were clogged and were not flushable and the campsites were not taken care of. As well the beach was a mess. I would not recommend staying here.
Great place. I've been going there since I was a kid.
Beautiful waterfront campsites.
Scenic, quiet and friendly
Nice clean Lake and nice camp grounds
Awesome
Three weekends of relaxation!
Amazing place to go for camping! A lot of space between campsites so you feel a sense of privacy.
Amazing lake, spring fed making it very clear. The lake allows boats which is cool and the park is super awesome as it's very sleepy and laid back.
Not super busy, it has beautiful scenery and crystal clear water.
Wonderful park. We stayed at campsite number 24. It was private because there was no one else in the corner with us but if there was someone else it wouldn’t be very private, the trees didn’t give much seclusion. We had our own private beach which was wonderful! Would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful place nice and relaxing
This is a nice place, clean. Btha lake and towering hardwood trees and thick conifers and so quiet. Staff were thorough and polite. Need to jump up and fill ruts a little faster. One big gripe I have is the signage right from the highway in the the park are TOO small and easily missed. Also another camp with virtually the same name has bigger signs and take you there instead. I'll go back , cause at least I know where it is now !
Great staff!!
Beautiful park with the clear spring fed lake being the center piece of our visit. Shady camping spots also added to the experience. Seems that some infrastructure improvements are over due. Ongoing issues with the washroom facilities were a minor inconvenience.
Great place .clean washroom and bathroom. At this time of period in August didn't get lots of mosquitos still needed to put bug spray because after rain they will come . It was little cold too.
Kayak, canoeing and swimming
Such a beautiful spot, small, quiet, clean and easy to distance. Loved that there wasn’t internet on the sites so you actually had to disconnect and enjoy nature without interruption. The water is so beautiful, clean, clear and lovely and like glass, really enjoyed paddling and kayaking. The park is so quiet, feels like you’re the only one there! Plus the trail is stunning with its views and lookouts. The boat launch is great, easy to navigate and the dock is nice and long for multiple users. Lots of picnic areas, beaches and a really fun playground! Staff were constantly cleaning the facilities, beaches, and receptacles. Well worth the drive, highly recommend!!
Beautiful park, amazing staff (shoutout to Brock????) beware of site 42 Avoid at all costs! The roads are atrocious, lots of rubble, rocks, hills, speed bumps and pot holes. But had an amazing time! Thanks Fairbank Provincial Park????
Cute park with nice lake and relatively larger camp sites. 50 bucks to rent a canoe noon to noon. Shower rooms are clean and relatively well maintained. Lots of mosquito in early Aug though.
Great place to hangout as a family. Hot showers are available!!!!!
Great park. Its clean nice staff as well
It was a wonderful weekend
Great quiet park to attend in a family setting. Beautiful scenery and trails nearby.
Great camping place, swimming, canoeing and much more
Amazing
I wanted to support a park close to Sudbury my hometown but the facilities were horrible. So dirty , the comfort station was more like a nightmare station. Bugs , spider webs, some horrible fan , it seemed like from the 1950s and hadn't been cleaned properly since.
Beautiful Park. Gorgeous beaches. Nice park for kids. A lot of trees which most other parks don't have. Beautiful lake side sites
Nice little place to camp. Manitoulin Island isn't that far and there are great hiking trail around as well. Will come back one day.
Was my best experience am loving it I think I will go there mush as i can
Nice beach, and great secluded beach for the dogs, but the roads between campsites are very bad, lots of potholes. Sites are to close, we couldn't sleep until 2am as the people beside us thought noone can hear them. They don't have a camp store where we could buy ice cream for the kids. Not sure if we will return.
Lake is beautiful, site is always packed.
The park is in a sad state of disrepair. In particular, the washrooms are terrible. 3 out of 4 stalls are out of order as are the pop machines. The staff is friendly and perhaps the only saving grace. Upon further research it seems that it has been in steady decline for quite some time. Shame.
Always a great time, three separate beaches, lots of sites, bathrooms, and potable water. Our family loves this campground.
Nice place.
Love this place! Very pretty and well kept.
Not even an actual park. Lame
Amazing lots
Awesome campsites. We got one directly on the lake.
Over all nice park. Nice beach for the kids. But the bathrooms and showers are very dirty. Stayed for two days and watched the park staff drive around in 2 different trucks 4 guys in one and 2 in the other all day with the music loud not doing any kind of work. Definitely could have been cleaning the bathrooms. The road to get there is horrific and there is not enough direction or big enough signs leading you to the park.
The scenery is spectacular! The variety of birds in spring is amazing! The facilities, on the other hand, not nearly so much- adequate. Not so great for a rainy weekend! Depending on the site, you might end up waking up in a big puddle. Yes- rather dated and under funded
It's beautiful place. Wish I had a boat to get in the lake.
Campsites are nice and the beaches aren't too far away from any of them
Absolutely beautiful and well kept. Sites are huge as well
That’s a good area the public washroom is not clean and its doesn’t have a privacy
Beautiful lake
Stayed there mid August. Very quiet. Beach is lovely. Remote. Friendly staff.
Great park to just hang out and enjoy a large, clear lake and gorgeous night skies. Try for a waterside site as they are the nicest and have what you need with you as it is a half hour drive to the nearest facilities.
Clean, classic northern Ontario
I stayed in the park for 4 nights. Nice park, some campsites are lake facing which are gorgeous. The only problem is washrooms and showers. They are not well maintained. Beach is very nice. People are friendly.Park wardens are very helpful. Please do take a note there is no cell phone service network.
On our trip easily the best chipmunks, squirrels and woodpeckers; as well as the vibe - very relaxing. Probably due to the toughest, rugged, and just insane number of badly fixed pot holes on the road into the park from the mine within Sudbury. Seriously - Sudbury - do something about your roads.
Great place to relax.
A lovely place to camp out. Very lovely and professional staff.
Fairbank Provincal Park is a beauty park. They've got a nice beach and park for children. The park offers lots a waterfront suites which a good majority are very good. The park is on a point so on one side you get to rise with the sun and if you're staying on the other, you'll be met with amazing sunsets. This isn't a very big provincial park but it also isn't one to miss!!
Great campground. Lots of seasonal RVs so most campgrounds are reserved with no occupants actually being there, so it's fairly empty and private. Showers, toilets, and laundry equipment are fairly dated and not super clean. The lake and beach are freaking amazing, clear water with a rocky ground. Great for boating and canoeing. Nice small boat launch but needs cleats. Not appropriate for fishing. Pets must be on leash but people are obnoxious and tend to set their pets free to harrass others, park staff don't seem to care. There's a beautiful trail with a great panoramic view of the lake, short hike (45 minutes) but challenging. There was a fire ban so having no campfire was a bit disappointing, but justified of course. Very good experience overall.
Beautiful park. Love the scenery and the water is amazing. Looking forward to our summer season can't wait to visit more parks ???? Summer Adventures here we come
(Translated) Unable to have the line for 3 days what a bad service (Original) Impossible d'avoir la ligne depuis 3 jours quel mauvais service
One of my favorite places on the planet.
Small Sites, Quiet and peaceful.
Just don't waste your time here. Most of the camp sites are uneven on a slope which makes it hard to sleep in a tent. Plus it's $40/night.
One of my favourite places to camp in Ontario. A very family friendly camp ground. A lot of high quality sites and clean washrooms.
Quiet and relaxing
We just stayed a few days , what a great place. Nice and quite, great scenery. Cellphone reception is horrible, but your there to camp and enjoy nature. Suck it up. Roads are a little rough, maybe that’s why this park is like a hidden gem. Drive normal, it’s okay. Definitely going back.
Gorgeous park but no service
Beautiful and quiet patk
This is a very nice park. Sadly my wife and I were profiled as bikers. We are sitting talking with a small speaker playing music low enough that I could hear the rangers walking up behind me. Was told to shut the music off and keep our voices down. Time was 11.01 PM. Okay... however the group 3 camp sites over were allowed to play loud music and drunken hollering to 2am. This is the same time we are told to keep it down aswell they party the next night. Definitely NOT a biker friendly camp ground even when you are behaving yourself. Would not recommend.
Beautiful park, mushrooms everywhere, crystal clear water with bass, good fire pits and a nice short hike on the grounds.
Restrooms not the best... Sites pretty close together... Very nice lake to swim in. Fun drive on #4 but pretty bumpy in spots. Beautiful little park.
Best water in Ontario
Great hiking, camping and swimming. A nice Park to visit, especially if you're looking to get away from the GTA crowds
Beautiful park, nice campsites (some are pretty mucky if it rains), older park and most of the roads, but once there relaxing!!!
Great place. Awesome maintenance staff
Great camping spot!
Although a bit far from Toronto the park is good for lazy recharge away from home. Not too many trials. An OK sites in terms of privacy, some have hydro. Showers were closed due to COVID, washrooms average in cleanliness, the sites are disinfected after people leave. For some it may be disappointing to know there is no mobile signal, there is a Bell phone booth at the entrance for emergencies.
Toilet not so cleam but fairly good. Great camp site
Great public camping spot for a small getaway
secluded
We visit often, and the park is superb. Campsites are large and well maintained, and the public areas are clean and nice. Pick a campsite by the small beach at the west end. It's not usually busy and the sand beach is great.
Nice place with family and friends
Campsite is very nice with good facilities. Smaller and quiet. Roads off highway from both Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie directions are in bad shape and hard on campers. Large potholes.
Small under funded park. For most part staff were great. Great beach for the hot weather this July!! If more funded for park maintenance would rate higher.
Lovely water
We loved the beautiful views and we're lucky enough to have a spot right on the water. The boating and beach facilities were very nice and the walk on the rocks very pretty.
Great clean lake with awesome waterfront sites.
Great campsites with lots of trees between sites. Love the beaches and the playground. Will go back again and again.
Nice spot
Love this park. Nice campsites, and beautiful beaches
Very nice park, excellent beaches but the bathrooms were disgusting they weren't maintained they weren't cleaned all weekend that we were there they had no soap in the dispensers toilets were plugged and not able to flush and this was the main bathroom at comfort station..outhouse couldn't even stomach to go in them very dirty...
It's a very peaceful relaxing place if u enjoy the outdoors.
Loved our trip there. Just wish I hadn't lost my keys! :/
Had a great time there. Unfortunately the bathrooms were incredibly filthy even after being cleaned. Lots of pallet wood brought in by neighbors which led to big fires that done belong in a provincial park. Site was great with a beautiful view. Staff was friendly but not knowledgeable. Just my opinion though.
Because it's very far up north.
Beautiful lake. Very nice park. They could stand to do a little work on the comfort station. 2 out of 4 bathroom stalls were out of order in the mens washroom and the stalls themselves were loose.
We always enjoyed this park. Only downfall is the cleanliness this year. Other then that for the most part it's quite. I mean when people do get loud we can't really blame the park, it's the selfish people who go to camp to "have a good time" but seem to forget that provincial parks are for families. Take the frat parties out to crown land. But the warden shut it down.
Beautiful and clean lakes
Fairbanks is one of my favorite provincial parks. Some sites are right on the water. There is also two beaches to enjoy.
the sites were nice and large. the road in was bumpy. showers werent to bad . the mens toilets all out of order .
If I could give a zero star I would. DO NOT go here if you want to avoid damaging your rig on the road. The road to get there is beyond horrible and will beat up your rig. The park roads aren’t better and there are uncut branches in very narrow roads that scratched the camper. The campsites are unbelievably uneven. I have done over 20 Ontario parks and this is by far the worse!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
Beautiful provincial park close to home.
needs to be replaned
There is nothing else like provincial parks at an affordable price. Great beach and sand, with a gradual slope into the water. Clear water, and good temperature. Perfect for kayaking. Lots of campsites on the water. Washrooms and showers were ok. Be prepared for a bumpy 11 km drive into the park. Make sure you have everything you need as it is a long drive to get any amenities. Campsites are nice, some are more private than others.
Great sandy beach. Helpful staff. Please note that the shower stations are not open due to Covid.
I stayed at the campground for two days. Most campers appeared to be there long term, and were very friendly and helpful! The park itself was fairly clean, however, the washrooms weren’t well maintained. …
Half dozen donuts is normally 6 bucks but if you pick two specialty donuts they charge you 10 bucks. A donut is a donut, there's not any more whipped cream or filling in the two new donuts that there is in any of the other ones so why rip us off?
Great place. Secluded. Facilities are a little old but showers are good and hot. Nice beach area, a little park for kids, volleyball area. Barely any cell signal, or none at all, but that's not a bad thing when camping. Some of the waterfront sites are electric which is awesome. It's 30 mins or so to the nearest town so check your list twice lol. Its not a huge park so we felt comfortable letting the kids ride their bikes around. Some sites are difficult to back your camper into but it's doable. The trail is rough but fantastic views. Staff is really nice and accommodating. I recommend this campground. We'll come back again
Best little hidden jam in sudbury
Spring fed crystal clear lake
Wow what a beautiful spot for outdoor enjoyment entertainment staff at the park are very helpful security does monitor the park so safety is notr a problem ..walking trails are amazing and just a great place to sit and relax or take a swim
Great little park. Isolated
Wanted to share our experience at Fairbank Provincial Campground. We had a great time even though there was a fire ban on, and it rained off and on. Our experience was great because of one of the Park Attendants' - Julie!! She has a wealth of knowledge about everything going on in the park!! We cannot thank you enough, Julie! Thanks for ensuring we got all the details for our stay! It was our pleasure talking with you.
Only stayed for one chilly night but the site was clean, close to the water and with enough privacy that we didn't see directly into the neighbours. The park itself has nice shower and laundry facilities and a couple of beach areas to enjoy the lake. There are some sites directly on the water too.
The lake is pretty and the water is clear. There is one comfort station for the whole park, and it could use a face lift. There was a one minute boil water advisory in place while we stayed here, from their state of the art water treatment facility. There is one small short challenging walking trail that leads up to a beautiful overview of most of the lake here. The road into the park is a mix of gravel, pavement segments, and stretches of multiple pothole repairs, and as just about everyone who comes here brings a trailer, the drive in can be a long slow painful one. A lot of people stay here for one night as a pass thru off the Trans-Canada highway. There are some very nice serviced sites right on the lake edge, if I was coming back I would definitely book one of these.
Nice park, lake is great
Best camping experience ever. Brought my dog and he was off leash and they didn't really care you can rent canoes for 50 bucks a day and a 50 dollar deposit they also don't care about smoking which is awesome. Overall clean and comfy site with our own private beach
Crystal clear water. Excellent swimming. Toilets not well maintained. Firewood was wet. But had a great time.
We had a water front spot.
Love Fairbanks I do photos and it's the perfect place for me.
We are currently staying there and have a water site #39. Site is nice and big but very sloped down to water. Bathrooms are atrocious and not kept cleaned....very dated! Roads are full of potholes which make driving extra rough. Brought our bikes but didnt find it suitable for biking. Lake is very nice though. This park needs government assistance badly!
Lake and beach is nice enough but the park is dated, lots of things needing repair and no programing for kids and families. Sites on the water are nice. Electric sites and main area doesn't give much privacy. Many other provincial parks much nicer.
Always a pleasure at Fairbanks PP. Calm, relaxing, clear clean water. Kids have a great time!
Small park with nice sites with nearly all hardwood boreal forest. Great beach on a nice lake, perfect for swimming or boating. The Rangers are friendly and the comfort stations were well serviced. The wood they sold was green and hard to burn.
The road I to here is hell; be prepared to drive slow. The sites are nice and spacious. They have zero tolerance on noise after 11, unless your locals and then party away. A little bias against motorcyclists. Wood is deli cred to your site.
Best Provincial Park. Road to it is the worst road City of Greater Sudbury should be ashamed for this road to this wonderful provincial park in their city.
One of my favorite parks around. Lots of beautiful maple trees and a short paddle to a beautiful cliff top view. Will be back again for sure.
Beautiful park. Great staff.
Great place to go swimming with family or camp
Beautiful park and lake. Just cross your fingers your camping neighbors are not loud ????
We have camped at several Provincial Parks in the last couple of years and have had no complaints whatsoever. Avoid this park like the plague. First of all the 25 kilometers from the main highway to the park is atrocious. Once you arrive the fresh water fill station is down hill from the sewage dump station and neither area is too clean. In the day we spent there we saw no one cleaning washrooms and showers. There was no cell phone reception even though I had been assured there was. This park was so bad we left after one day. Stay away from this park. If there was a way to assign negative stars I would do it.
Beautiful campground, beautiful clean lake, friendly, helpful staff. Have been meeting here for many years, with other relatives, always around Canada Day, and always having a blast.
