A very well maintained 12 km(single trip) hiking/biking trail connecting Simcoe and Port Dover. Park the car here, unload the bike(s), and have a nice half day trip to Port Dover. Converted from an old rail track, it almost like going through an endless green tunnel. Most segments are under shade, good for getting away from the heat in summer. There is a gentle but noticeable slope going down from Simcoe to the lake shore, remember to conserve some stamina for the returning climb. Surface are mostly compacted soil, with some paved segments. There are multiple road crossings, and a small section shared the road with vehicles. Parents with kids need to be extra careful in those areas, vehicles will just speeding through without a care. After arriving Port Dover, consider take some refreshments, walk on the beach, or enjoy the lake view before returning.
