REVIEWS OF Don Shay Memorial Dog Park IN Simcoe

Great dog park for big dogs. Lots of space. Water tap and kiddie pool for the dogs too. A few trees and picnic tables for shade. We’ve always encountered friendly people. The park is fenced on three sides and the forth side has a dense forest. The last time we went we found a trail in the forest which eventually lead to a small river. We’re looking forward to exploring more.

Not busy today, good weather for this time of year, dogs had a great time.

This is a good sized park with nice dogs and their humans. The trouble is that the park is not fenced in properly. There is an entire area - leading onto a busy road parallel to highway 6 that dogs can easily escape from. It happens all the time. Very stressful. The city or county really should sort this problem out.

Took our 5 month old puppy here for the first time in the snow and he loved it. Loads of open space for the dogs to roam, and it wasn't busy at all mid day on a Sunday. Other dog owners there were great too. It seems like it could be muddy without the snow or after some rain, but still a great park.

Great Park, Huge! 2 entrances and well maintained. Rolex met Bailey here and had a great time! Also has a water drinking area- not many dog parks include this. Dog owner in Photos will be back! Also Rolex’s Aunt, Carol Walls, thinks he shouldn’t be drinking from the water there but it’s from the tap so it’s not a standing puddle. I encourage your dog to drink the water!

Alexandra

Awesome park! Huuuuuge territory!! Banking into the creak and forest, but no fence on the forest side, however dogs and owners don't mind :-)

This is a large, generous dog park, the best I've been to, and well taken care of by the municipality. It is busy at times but quite often my dogs are the only ones there. It includes a small forest at the rear which we also check out. The gates are in great condition which is very important. Most people that use the park obey the rules.

Great place for a walk with your dog and all the dogs we have met seem to love it there too
